Only two hours passed and Chandra woke to Draco slightly shaking her shoulder. Her eyes flickered open and she groaned before looking at him.
"What is it?"
Draco looked tired and scared and he was playing with his tie. He stammered over his words as he tried to get them out.
"D-do you think I could come with you all?"
Chandra perked up and looked at him, studding his face. He was pale and his hair clung to his face like he had been sweating. She quickly questioned him.
"What's going on?"
He looked around a bit before looking back to her and speaking in a hushed tone.
"My father went to Azkaban and the Dark Lord is not happy with my family. I know my mother is scared… that's why she's always here…"
He trailed off into useless mumbling and Chandra cut him off.
"Get to the point Draco."
He took a long breath and looked at her.
"I feel like he's going to try to punish the family. Just please let me go, please. I'll follow all your stupid muggle rules...please."
Chandra looked at him with a mix of shock and concern. She couldn't help but feel a little angry that he just gave her a guilt trip.
"Okay, Draco. I don't think it will stop anything from happening later...but it probably would make your mom feel better if you came with us. Donf fucking invite anyone else my car is filled up now."
He nodded and smiled lightly before leaving the room. Chandra sighed out of irritation and stretched a bit before letting her arms relax. As her arm made contact with something she Jersey it away and looked down to find out what it was. She let out a long relieving breath when she saw Luna, still asleep. She had made herself comfortable and was now laid across the sofa with her head in Chandra's lap, her nose poking the Hufflepuffs stomach.
Chandra quickly calmed down after the light scare. She looked at the blonde, propping her head in her hand. As she watched the girl sleep, she could hear shuffling footsteps. Hermione soon stood in front of them, her hair wild and half awake. The brunette looked at the sleeping girl and then to her cousin.
"Do you want me to take her to her room?"
Chandra shifted her gaze to Hermione. She gave a light smile and softly shook her head, earning a shrug from Hermione. After a quick stretch and a half wave Hermione disappeared into the kitchen and before long Chandra could hear Hermione walk back upstairs. Chandra smiled and continued watching Luna.
A few hours later, Luna started to wake. The room was barely being lit by the dwindling fire and light rays of sunlight from the new morning. As she lifted herself up her eyes locked on Chandra, who gave a sideways grin. Luna sprang up to a sitting position and looked at her.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to fall asleep."
"I don't mind, Luna. I'm ready to finish the book whenever you want."
Luna smiled and yawned a bit. Chandra looked at her for a moment before speaking again.
"And if you can find anything else you want to read, I'd be interested."
Luna blushed as Chandra stood up, stretching, raising her arms above her head, leaning back slightly and standing on her toes. As she stopped she looked at the blonde.
"You may want to gather your things if you're coming with me. I have to talk to Bellatrix about travel."
She left the girl in the living room and went to Bella's room, knocking shortly. To her surprise the door opened as soon as her knuckles left it. She was greeted by a very tired Belatrix who was staring at her with a tinge of annoyance in her expression. The dark witch growled out a question.
"What is it that you want?"
"I need to know if you have ever apparated to another country."
Bellatrix raised a brow at Chandra.
"No, I haven't. How many people would I be taking with me?"
"Well as it stands now one of us would be stuck taking two people at once, while the other takes one...unless one of us takes all three."
Bellatrix shook her head and looked back at Hermione, who was still sleeping. She sighed and looked back to Chandra.
"Even with just one other that distance would atheist cause extreme splinching. I'm not willing to try it."
Chandra grinned at her.
"Oh good then we will take a plane."
Bellas eyes went wide as she revised that she didn't really have a choice in this, unless she wa a going to stay home. She groaned as Chandra gave a smile and walked off.
Bella shut her door. Probably a bit to hard because Hermione groaned and sat up.
"Whats going on?"
"Your cousin wants me to step foot on one of those flying muggle death traps.
Hermione looked at her with a confused look before asking.
"A plane?"
"Yes."
"Its not that bad bella."
"I'm not stepping foot in one."
"Then I guess I'm going without you."
Bellatrix looked at the brunette and narrowed her eyes. Hermione shrugged and got out of bed and began to get ready. Bella stood there and watched as she walked into the lavatory and began washing her face. As Hermione dried her face off she could feel bella staring at her. When she turned around she saw her standing in the doorway studying her.
"Yes, bella?"
"You'll go without me?"
"Well it was going to be just me and Chandra in the beging so...I guess I'll see you when we get back."
Bella walked over and wrapped her arms around the brunette, lowering her head to whisper to her.
"I don't think so, pet. If your so keen on going then I'll go… I don't have to like the trip but I'm not spending any time away from you right now. You just spent a whole term away."
Hermione grinned, turning to Bella. She kissed her softly before returning to her daily routine. She spoke to Bella as she brushed out her frizzy brown hair.
"Good because I really want to get away from everything...thank you Bella."
Bellatrix smiled and placed a kiss on the girls neck before leaving the room to find Narcissa. When she found her she was sat in the study, reading. Bella sat beside her and looked at her.
"I've decided what to do, concerning the prophecy."
Narcissa looked up, closing her book.
"Is that so?"
"I've decided that I can't let Tom hurt her and when he eventually dose or makes me I have to put an end to it."
Narcissa looked at her with a skeptical glare.
"An end to what? The Dark Lord, or…"
"The Dark Lord, Cissy…."
Narcissa nodded and smiled before she spoke.
"Are you going to let her know about this?"
"No."
"Bel-"
"Not yet at least. Tom doesn't know of the prophecy yet so I don't see a point in worrying her with it."
Narcissa sighed and hugged her sister.
"Alright Bella. Take care of Draco while y'all are gone…"
"I wasn't aware he was coming."
"He, and Luna are coming along."
Bella thought for a moment before laughing lightly.
"Atleast I'm not the only one who has to suffer the muggle death machines."
Narcissa smiled, placing her hand on Bella's shoulder before getting up and leaving the room.
The day went by and everyone gathered what they needed and got themselves prepared to leave the next day. As the sun began to set Hermione found herself laying against Bella's shoulder as the dark witch held her. The fire in their room didn't do much for the chill of night against silk sheets. Hermione pressed into the dark witch, loving how warm she was against her skin. Bella grinned and turned to face her, wrapping her arms around her, pulling her tight to her body.
"Is that better?"
Hermione smiled and kissed the witches nose.
"Yes, thank you."
Bella smiled and closed her eyes, just enjoying the feeling of having the brunette in her arms. She was just getting comfortable when Hermione spoke up.
"Your alot different then everyone thinks you are."
"Only to you, pet."
"Lucky me."
Hermione gave a smile and Bella kissed her head. The dark witch closed her eyes again and held her tight. When Hermione whispered something that made Bella look at her. She didn't think she heard it correctly.
"What was that, pet?"
Hermione looked at her with a blush lightly covering her cheeks. She spoke again a bit more clear.
"I said I love you,bella…"
Bella's chest tightened and her mind ran rapidly. Did she really say that? Did she actually mean it? She felt like her stomach was in knots as she studied the girls face. She couldn't find any signs of a lie And she couldn't ignore the warm feeling the girl gave her. She finally looked in the brunettes eyes.
"I love you too, Hermione."
Hermione smiled and kissed the dark witch and when she looked at her again she could see that she was clearly blushing. Hermione laughed.
"Is Bellatrix Black, blushing?"
"No."
"Yes you are. Its cute…"
"No I'm not, I don't blush."
"Oh really?"
"Time for bed."
"What?"
Hermione laughed as Bella pulled her into her tight, repeatedly telling her to stop when she said something about the pink color of her cheeks. Eventually hermiones laughs faded into silence as she fell asleep in Bella's arms.
On the next Floor Chandra walked into her room and kicked her boots off, falling onto the bed. She stretched and talked to herself.
"Texas here I come…"
Just then there was a knock at her door. She groaned and pushed her self off her bed and went to the door. When she opened it Luna was standing there with a small smile, holding the book to her chest. Chandra smiled lightly.
"You wanting to read?"
After a slight nod rom Luna, Chandra let her in, closing the door behind them. Chandra grinned as Luna looked around the room. The Hufflepuff spoke plainly.
"Sorry the only place to sit is the bed, hope that's okay."
"I don't see a problem with it."
"Well good then.."
Chandra sat on the bed, leaning back against thick pillows and Luna claimed the spot next to her. Luna opened the book and scanned the pages, Chandra smiled and watched her, pretending to read. Eventually Luna shifted over, laying her head against Chandra's shoulder, bringing her arm over the other woman to bring the book into both their views.
Chandra smiled but stopped when Luna spoke.
"You know, it really is an interesting book, if you were really reading you would know…"
"I am reading Luna."
"No your not. If anything your reading me."
"You can't read people, Luna…"
"Sure you can. Just like I could read it at once that you were afraid of telling Draco that you didn't like him."
Chandra looked at her and sighed.
"So thats why you bunched up to me in the study...to save me from having to hurt Draco.
Luna smiled and kept looking at the book as she spoke.
"Well yes actually. It was an easy choice really...strange how feelings happen without even having a full conversation."
Chandra looked at her with a confused look on her face as she tried to understand what she just said. She was about to give up for fear of a headache when Luna sighed.
"I like you, you know?"
Chandra blushed and went silent as Luna continued reading. Chandra couldn't process any of it. She had never had anyone actually say that to her. She was just flirting with the girl this morning, so why was she so shy now? She had never even been with someone before. She had an image to keep up and the strange Ravenclaw had already destroyed it with one sentence.
Chandra finally let out a shaky sigh as she made her mind go quiet and she looked at Luna.
"I don't scare you?"
Luna looked up to her with a perfect smile.
"Not at all, the others saw whats on the outside. I can see that your the same as everyone else...you just hide under an attitude and spikes."
Chandra couldn't stop the small smile from creeping across her face when she heard that. Its been a long time since someone had said something like that to her. As Luna turned back to their book Chandra shifted, laying her head on lunas shoulder, holding her from behind as they read.
