Chandra pushed the door open and walked in, followed by the others as she mumbled with annoyance in her voice.
"You're the ones who ran off. But no...it's my fault we were out late."
Bellatrix rolled her eyes, shoving past the redhead as she went to the kitchen. She quickly found a drink and returned to the living room. Harry stretched as he plopped down on the sofa, almost landing in Draco's lap. The shocked blonde quickly shifted to the side, saving himself from embarrassment. Luna and Ron found places on the floor as Bella pulled Chandra into the dining room. The Hufflepuff gave her a strange look as they stopped.
"What's going on? What do you want?"
"I told Hermione I would watch a movie."
"Ah fun…"
Bellatrix gave her a stern look and Chandra put her hands up, letting out a light sigh.
"Okay, okay. Why do you need me?"
"She wants me to choose one. I don't know what that even means."
"Well, firstly...is it a date type situation?"
"No…"
Chandra rolled her eyes.
"You don't even know, do you?"
Bellatrix shrugged a bit and crossed her arms, trying her best not to seem clueless. Chandra shook her head and motioned for her to stay while she walked to the living room where Hermione stood, petting Crookshanks. She went to her and whispered.
"Your oblivious ass girlfriend doesn't know if your little deal is a date or not."
Hermione laughed lightly.
"No...I'm just happy that she's trying it. I think it would be better if we all watched the movie. It may make her a bit more comfortable with it."
Chandra shrugged and nudged her side.
"Alright but if you want us out just tell me."
Hermione nodded, giving her a smile before going back to playing with her cat. Chandra made her way back to Bella who was leaning against the wall, looking quite impatient. Chandra drew in a long breath before she spoke.
"Well it's not a date...but she is really happy about you actually opening up to it."
"Chandra… you didn't even answer my question."
"What was it?"
Bellatrix gave her a dumbfounded look before speaking in a harsh whisper.
"What movie do I choose!?"
"Well. Do you want her to be curled up with you or laughing?"
"What the hell does that have anything to do with what I asked?"
Chandra rolled her eyes and let out an exaggerated groan.
"Hermione won't admit it but she hates gore. You watch a bloody slasher and she will cling to you. But if you want her to laugh then choose a comedy. Those are the two types you have to choose from here s-"
"I want the bloodiest one you have."
Chandra stared at her, wide eyed. After she recovered from the slight shock of the speed of her response Chandra disappeared for a moment, returning with a VHS in hand.
"My bloody Valentine, it is."
Bella looked at the strange block in the girl's hand for a moment before shaking her head.
"Nope, I'm not even going to try to figure out how it works. You can do the work."
Chandra rolled her eyes and walked into the living room placing the tape into the VCR as she spoke in a happy yet demanding tone.
"Movie time peasants!"
Everyone stopped talking as she sat down by Luna on the floor and the tape began playing. Bella led Hermione to the sofa, pulling her into her lap as they sat down. She kissed the brunette's head and looked at the screen.
An hour later Harry and Ron cringed and flinched as they watched a pickaxe wielding nutcase claim another victim. Chandra looked at the smiling Bellatrix, who played with Hermione's hair while her girl swiftly shielded her eyes by curling into bella. Chandra looked over at Luna who, unlike Hermione, was sitting as still as a statue, with a light smile and a sparkle in her eyes as she watched the scene. Chandra huffed and let her head drop into her hand as she realized she wouldn't be getting the wanted results from the Ravenclaw. She glanced over and spotted Draco. He was already asleep, his head about to slip off his fist. Chandra grabbed a pillow from beside her and chunked it at him, hitting him in the face, making him jump and glare at her.
The group watched the rest of the movie, Bella laughing at the stupidity of the victims and holding the scared Gryffindor. As the credits started to roll she tapped the girl's head, smiling as chocolate eyes met with hers.
"I think it's over."
Hermione sat up and tried to act as if she wasn't scared.
"Oh...did you like it?"
"Yes...who knew muggles could come up with such fun ways to kill."
"That's…comforting."
Bella kissed her, holding her tight. As Hermione returned the kiss there was a knock on the door, making the two women glance over at Chandra. The redhead jumped up as she looked at the clock and smiled. She grinned and made sure Luna stayed seated as she almost ran to the door.
After a few moments of muffled talking the door shut softly. Everyone listened as a tiny, rapid pattering grew closer. Mere seconds later a mass of fur jumped onto Bella and Hermione, licking Hermione's face before running along everyone else and jumping down to the floor where it proceeded to run in circles. Luna made a sound between a squeeze and a laugh as she scooped up the puppy. Chandra smiled as she stood in the archway, watching the small creature attack Luna's face with its tongue. Luna laughed and hugged the puffball and smiled at Chandra.
Hermione stood up, pulling Bella with her. She gave Chandra a smile before the two of them retreated to their room for the night. Once in the room Bella stretched and promptly stripped out of the muggle clothes. As she tossed them aside she watched as Hermione, who sat on the bed facing away from her, slipped her shirt off and fixed her hair. The dark witch smiled and crawled onto the bed and over to Hermione. She kissed the girl's shoulder, then left a trail of light kisses up her neck, stopping behind her ear. Hermione smiled and turned her head, capturing her lips in a soft kiss.
As Bella's fingers drug lightly down her back Hermione shivered. She knew what she wanted and when she felt bellas lips brush against her ear she prepared herself for her beautiful voice. But instead the dark witch lightly pulled her close and buried her face in the girl's Chestnut curls.
"I love you…"
"I love you too Bella."
Bella lightly squeezed her and Hermione smiled and let her head rest on hers. They sat there for a few moments just enjoying each other's company before Bella spoke again.
"Will you read me a book?"
Hermione turned to look at her, smiling as she pushed her thick black curls from her face.
"Bella, I'm sorry if I hurt you at the Café…"
"It's not that...I just want to fall asleep to your voice."
Hermione blushed and her mind decided to stop producing anything close to a proper thought. She wasn't used to Bella being this sweet and by the grin on Bella's face, she didn't want Hermione getting used to it.
"Oh isn't that just the most precious thing. My little pet is speechless… so adorable."
Hermione snapped back to her senses and looked away to hide her blushing face only for Bella to grab her chin gently. The dark witch made the girl look at her and softly tipped her chin up, bringing their lips together. Their tongues slid against each other gently, making Hermione let out small moans. As they parted Hermione smiled and spoke in a small voice.
"Let me go get a book then…"
