Bellatrix groaned as she was woken up by screams. She forced herself out of bed and left the room and followed the sounds to the kitchen. There she saw Chandra holding her wand to the back of Ron's neck as he scrubbed a plate. He was whimpering and tears fell from his eyes. Bella rubbed her eyes and yawned as Luna walked in and questioned her girlfriend.
"What are you doing Chandra?"
"Someone left Harry to do the dishes while he went to sleep. And he honestly believed that his friend wouldn't throw him under the bus. Well guess what buddy…"
She got close to Ron's ear and loudly hissed.
"Your not the only one that's afraid of me, all I had to do was ask him once…"
Bella rolled her eyes and went to leave before she heard a laugh from the other side of the room. When she turned she saw Draco sitting on the counter looking at the torment with a goofy smile.
"Are you enjoying this for the right reasons, Draco? Or is it for the captor?"
"Hmm…"
Luna glared at him from the corner of her eye. Obviously Draco hasn't really taken Chandra's 'family' talk to heart. She rolled her eyes and watched as Ron put the last plate away and Chandra put her wand away, allowing the boy to run away. Luna looked at Chandra as Ron ran past her.
"Was it re-"
"Completely necessary."
Luna rolled her eyes and left the room. Chandra narrowed her eyes and shrugged as she looked at Bella. The dark witch shrugged.
"Don't look at me, that's your fault."
"What do you mean? What did I do?"
"Threatened her friend over being lazy."
"That's not that bad…"
"Yes it is."
"You tried to kill Hermione! At Least I've never hurt Luna…"
Bellatrix looked at her, wide eyed as Chandra left the room and began looking for Luna. Bella looked over to her nephew who sat there sipping his glass of water, trying not to look at her. Bella left the kitchen and went back to her room.
As she closed the door she looked at the sleeping gryffindor. She thought about what Chandra said as she sat on the bed. She watched Hermione sleep as she let the redhead's words play over and over in her head. It wouldn't have hurt as much if she could just pretend that it never happened but it did and she had wanted to do it. Even though things have changed she could never change the fact that it happened and it frankly scared her that it took her this long to think about it.
As she sat, lost in her own thoughts Hermione woke up and was now looking at her with a confused look. She tapped the dark witch rather roughly on the shoulder but she didn't move or look at her.
"Bella."
Nothing.
"Bella!"
Still nothing. She grabbed Bella's arm, shaking her a bit as she tried again.
"Bellatrix!"
Hermione jumped as Bella grabbed her arm hard enough that her nails dug into her skin and twisted her arm into a position that was not only uncomfortable but painful. Bellas grip tightened and she pulled, making the gryffindor whimper.
Hermione looked at Bella, who wasn't even looking at her. Hermione didn't even know if Bella was aware of what she was doing.
"Bella stop…"
Nothing.
"Bella, please...it hurts…"
Nothing.
"Bella, please stop!"
Bellatrix looked at her in shock before she let go and watched the girl cradle her arm. Her chest pounded as she realized what she did.
"Let me see."
"No...it's fine…"
"No its-"
Bella went quiet as blood seeped past Hermione's fingers. She went to move the girl's hand to get a better look at the damage. She froze as Hermione pulled away from her and went to the bathroom. Bella's heart sank as she heard the door lock and all she could do was sit there and bitch at herself.
About an hour went by with irritated and painfull sounds coming from the bathroom. Bella couldn't take it any more. She went to the door and waved her wand, unlocking it. When she went in she saw hermione wrapping her forearm, blood still seeping through the wraps.
"You can't do that it needs to be healed…"
Bella went to help her but Hermione pulled away from her.
"Get out. I'll get Chandra to heal it."
Bellatrix stared at her in shock.
"I said get out!"
Bella stood there frozen with shock and guilt. She didn't even notice when the door swung open and Chandra ran up to Hermione, grabbing her arm. She saw Chandra turn towards her. She could tell she was screaming but she couldn't hear anything. As her head began to cloud with pain she saw Hermione wince and Chandra ran up to face her. Bellas head span as she tried to hear the screaming redhead. There was a sudden burning pain and the last thing she saw was Chandra standing over her, the bracelet wrapped around her knuckles dripping with blood, and speaking to her. This time she heard it.
"I hope it fucking scars bitch!"
The pain was fading and Bella rolled over to get up, catching sight of Luna and Draco, staring at the sight. As she pushed her self up she realized why it was fading. Her vision slowly went black and her body fell back to the floor.
When Bella opened her eyes again she was laying against the a stone wall. She groaned and rubbed her jaw, scoffing in disgust as her hand got covered in her own blood.
"I can't believe she hit me."
"I can do it again."
Bella looked to her left to see Chandra picking a bottle of wine from a shelf. Bella let her head fall back against the wall as she let out a sigh.
"I didn't mean to hurt her."
"Oh I know. She told me what happened."
"Then why am I down here?"
"Because she doesn't want to see you."
Bella glared at her.
"What?"
"You know, there's the difference between us. You can't control what you do. I can."
Bella clenched her jaw.
"No you just don't act and then explode and cover it up with medication, your weak!"
"I don't hurt people I love!"
Bella looked down, looking at the dried blood on her sharp nails. Her stomach felt as if it was tied in knots. Chandra walked up and handed her the bottle. After a moments Bella took it and took a long swig. Chandra sat by her.
"When I thought I had a chance with you, I expected you to be violent… but you would have died if you hurt me."
Bella took another swig and glared at the Hufflepuff as she continued.
"But now that you are with her. Your life and our arrangement is forfeit if you ever hurt her again…"
Bellatrix couldn't help the cold shiver that went down her spine when she caught a glimpse of what she was holding in her hands. In one Chandra held Bella's wand and the other she held a muggle device that Bella didn't have to be told about, it was a pistol. Bella downed a good bit of the bottle before speaking.
"This is a strange way to have this talk…"
"Welcome to Texas."
Bella awkwardly smiled while glancing at the cocked revolver in her servents hand. After the two of them stared at eachother in silence for a moment Chandra offered her wand to her. Bella slowly took it while keeping an eye on the gun making sure she wouldn't shoot her. After Bella took it Chandra gave her a smile and got up, walking up the stairs to leave, talking as she disappeared out of sight.
"Come up when you want, I gotta clean your blood off of my jewelry."
When Bella heard the cellar door close she finally stood up. She downed a bit more wine before placing it back on the shelf and making her way up the stairs. As she walked through the bottom floor she grew uneasy from the silence. When she made it to Hermiones door it was locked. Her chest ached as she knocked on the door and even more when she heard hermione voice.
"Who is it?"
"Please, open the door…"
To her surprise the door swung open. She lightly smiled but her heart sank once more as pile of black clothing was shoved into her arms and Hermione's broken voice met her ears.
"Theres a room upstairs you can stay in. Or you can go back to voldemort and beg him not to kill you."
"Hermione…"
"No."
"I dint mean t-"
"I know… im just not gonna let it happen again. I don't care about the prophecy.
"Neither do i…"
"Yes you do."
"No I dont…"
"Then why are you with me...one reason… that isn't the prophecy."
Bella looked at her as she tried to speak but she couldn't get the words out. Hermione looked at the shorter woman with sad eyes and closed the door in her face. Bella let tears fall down her face as she rested her head on the door.
"You make me feel like I'm actually worth something. You make me feel happy for once in my miserable life… I'm sorry. I'll never do it again..I promise. Please…"
Bella was unaware of the small audience she had while she cried. Harry and Chandra stood at the entrance to the kitchen watching the dark witch break down. Harry looked as if he wanted to go comfort her and Chandra wore a light smile as she waited for her cousin to let her in.
What felt like hours went by but it was only about a minute before the door opened and Hermione stepped aside, allowing Bella to enter the room. The young witch caught a glimpse of the two eavesdroppers and watched as they scattered in different directions before she closed the door.
When she turned around bella was standing there looking like she was going to be sick, with blood still fresh in the gashes on her jaw. Hermione sighed and took the pile of clothes from her and tossed them on the bed. Bella looked at her, not knowing if she should even try to speak. As she looked away from her Hermione hugged her, burring her face into bellas hair. Bella held her tight as she tried to stop crying. Hermione squeezed her tight.
"You scared me…"
"I'm sorry, pet…"
Bella finally stopped crying and wiped her eyes. Hermione let go of her only to bring their lips together. Bella smiled against hermiones lips and Hermione pulled away to look at her. The brunette smiled at Bella.
"Just promise me that will never happen again…"
"I promise, I won't let it happen again, pet."
