A few days went by and everyone had seemed to forget about Bella's little incident, all but Bella herself. She thought about it constantly.hermione made her heal her face and only two faint scars remained. Today Bella sat on the kitchen counter watching Chandra pull a tray of cupcakes out of the oven.
"What's the occasion?"
"Oh, a certain nephew of yours thought he could neglect to answer me when I asked when his birthday was."
"It was last week…"
"Yeah I know."
"How did you find that out?"
Chandra placed the hot reay on the stove top and gave Bella a look that said 'oh come on'. Bella nodded as she remembered.
"You have a file on him… don't you think your work is a bit creepy."
"You're one to talk about creepy… anyways… birthdays are meant to be celebrated or at least acknowledged. So I'm doing something small."
Bella smiled a bit as Chandra mixed edible shimmer dust to white frosting. The redhead then prepared a second one of red frosting, making Bella raise a brow.
"Red?"
"It's the only thing I could get out of him. He's been hiding in his room so much it's hard to even talk to him, but Luna got him to tell her that his favorite color is red...said it makes him happy."
Bella gave a sideways smile.
"Nice to know."
"I guess."
"Nice to know you can bake too. Now I know who to pester when I want something sweet."
Chandra laughed sarcastically.
"Ha, no. I'm not going to be in the kitchen for you, you got a bitch for that."
"I'm assuming you'll be the one in the kitchen out of you and Luna?"
Chandras face went red and she squeezed the piping bag a bit too hard and messed up the otherwise perfect red and silver cupcakes. Bella let out a chuckle and Chandra picked up the ruined one and shoved it in Bella's mouth, making her shut up.
"Get out of the kitchen."
Bella rolled her eyes as she bit the cupcake, taking the rest in her hand. She chuckled once more as she turned to leave. When she looked back Chandra was glaring at her, making sure she left. Bella ate the rest of the cupcake and left the room, making her way into the living room. Her eyes found Harry playing chess with Ron. Deciding to pry for her own amusement she sat down by the boy and talked quietly.
"Potter, can I ask you something?"
"Oh...sure, Bellatrix."
"Bella."
"Okay, Bella."
Bellatrix grinned.
"How long have you wanted to shag my nephew?"
Harry's face burnt a bright red color and Ron rolled onto the floor in a silent wheezing laugh. Bella looked at the priceless look on Harry's face and gave him a big grin.
"Is there an answer?"
Harry looked at her as he tried to speak but nothing came out, so she took the chance.
"Well I assume all the fighting is a front… on both ends. Plus Weasley wouldn't be laughing that hard if he didn't know something."
Ron spoke up between laughs.
"Know something?... Come on Harry, it's not that bad… even Ginny knows."
Bella grinned with glee.
"Oh even the girl knows? So how long?"
Harry suddenly found his barring and bolted from the room, running up the stairs, leaving a laughing Ron with a hysterical Bellatrix. Eventually Ron calmed down.
"Ah man we weren't finished with the game."
Bella shrugged, looking at the board.
"It's fine, I'll finish it for him."
"Are you sure about that? I don't mean to brag but I'm really good."
"Prove it."
After a bit Hermione walked in to see a very dumbfounded looking Ron, staring at the chessboard and Bella leaning against the couch, grinning and waiting for the shock of losing to leave the Weasley boy. Hermione raised a brow.
"What happened here?"
"Oh nothing, darling. I was just teaching Ron how to lose."
"I can see he is taking it well…"
Bella looked at the boy who seemed to be going through the game step by step in his head, no doubt trying to figure out if Bella cheated or not. The dark witch shrugged and walked over to Hermione, kissing her gently. Hermione smiled against the kiss before deepening it , slipping her tongue past bellas lips. Their tongues fought dominance for a moment before Hermione ended the kiss. Bella grinned at her and ran her thumb over her bottom lip.
"Someone seems happy today? Is there anything I should be aware of?"
"Just thinking about how the birthdays have started…"
"Oh are you actually excited for yours now, pet?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
Bella kissed her neck and whispered in her ear, not caring that Ron was still there.
"Last time we spoke of it you were scared of marriage… has that changed?"
"If I'm getting married at seventeen, then I only have one request."
"And that is?"
"That I will be able to finish my schooling… this year is still only my 6th year."
Bella groaned.
"Is that really necessary, you're the one who messed up your age, using the time-turner…"
"Bella…"
"Oh alright…"
Hermione smiled and kissed Bella, making the dark witch chuckle. Then all of a sudden Ron spoke.
"HA, I GOT IT! Harry played half the game so really you didn't beat me."
Bella looked at him and then to Hermione, who smiled and walked away. Bella turned to Ron with a big grin.
"Set the game up, I'll show you."
Chandra walked into the room as Bella moved her first piece and watched them play. Eventually Bella looked at her.
"Aren't you supposed to be cooking?"
"Nah, Lunas got it, the last batch is almost done."
"How many batches did you make?"
"Six dozen"
"Merlin…"
"What?"
After a few moments of watching the game a loud beeping filled the air and Chandra sighed. Bella looked at her.
"They smell burnt…"
Chandra silently mocked her until Luna called out.
"Chandra, can you come help me?"
"Yeah, I'm coming."
Bella snorted.
"Make that five dozen."
Chandra rolled her eyes and made her way to the kitchen, leaving Bella and Ron to their game.
A few hours went by and Bella had thoroughly bruised Ron's ego. They played three games and each time she had wrecked him. As she was gloating Draco came into the living room and plopped down on the sofa, turning on the television. Bella glared at him with a sarcastic look.
"You've become a regular muggle haven't you, Draco."
"It's Saturday, Batman comes on in ten minutes…"
Bella scrunched up her nose as she sat there watching the television. About twenty minutes of watching the show she turned to Draco with a blank expression.
"Is the man dressed as a bat the criminal?"
"No, the clown is."
"Well the bat is breaking the law too...not fair that he isn't a criminal as well."
Draco rolled his eyes.
"Aunt Bella, I would really like to watch this."
As the room got quiet Chandra walked in and stood in front of Draco while talking to him.
"Well I can tell you what happens. Batman wins, Joker goes to Arkham, everyone wins."
Draco threw his hand up in defeat and downed before Chandra continued.
"So, Draco… how do you feel about singing?"
His eyes went wide at her words.
"Absolutely not, don't you eve-"
"Then you better tell me why you didn't tell me when your birthday was."
"Because your lot is embarrassing."
Chandra looked at him with an unamused look as she inched closer to him. He tensed up, not knowing if he made her mad. As Chandra got close to him he looked at her and started to apologize but was met with a cupcake to the face. The sugary treat smashed against his face, going up his nose and barely any of it getting in his mouth. As he wiped the frosting from his face Chandra walked out of the room yelling.
"Happy birthday, dick! Now come on, I've made dinner and more sweets."
Draco looked at his aunt as he tried to blow the bits of cupcake out of his nose and groaned as she just laughed and made her way to the kitchen.
