Malfoy manor
Chandra sat at the long table, next to narcissa. Snape looked at her with a knowing look. She gave him a short smile, a thank you for altering her memories before she came to the meeting. Narcissa had to take her into another room when she arrived to make sure she was okay.
Voldemort spoke of an important date approaching and how the ones involved know their roles. Chandra listened intently and tried to look as normal as possible. She was doing a fine job of it until Voldemort addressed her.
"Chandra, do you by chance have an idea where Bellatrix and Draco are? Narcissa has told me that they just disappeared before the summer."
"No my lord. I can look for them if you would like."
Voldemort looked at her with a suspicious look. It wasn't long before Chandra felt her head tingle with pain. After a few moments the pain stopped and she lightly shook her head. Voldemort sighed.
"Very well, look for her when you aren't in class. How was your summer with your family."
"Very calming, my lord. I acquired a dog."
The dark lord gave her a sickening smile. That Chandra couldn't make out if it was genuine or not.
"That sounds splendid. I would like you to be at every meeting that occurs when you're free. I must admit having someone in Hogwarts as a student has its perks… I would like you to get close to Potter. Give me as much information as you can every time you come here."
"Yes my lord."
The dark lord looked at his subjects.
"We are done here, Chandra stay…"
The other deatheaters disapparated, leaving Chandra alone with Narcissa and Voldemort. She got up and readied herself for her what was coming. There was a constant payment for keeping her muggle family protected. As Chandra stood there and tightened every muscle in her body to try to ease the pain of her payment, Narcissa looked to the floor to save herself from the sight. The dark lord pointed his wand at the Hufflepuff and spoke harshly.
"Crusio"
The spell hit Chandra and she gritted her teeth as agonizing pain rippled through her body. The dark lord sent another one. Chandra winced and fell to her knees but still held her composure as she felt like her skin was being ripped apart. Another one. She let out a groan as she hit the floor. And another one. The crippling pain finally pushed an echoing scream out. The horrifying sound filled the manor, making Narcissa tense up.
The dark lord, satisfied with the result, disapparated and Chandra went to Chandra, helping her up. Chandra twitched and whimpered blood ran down her chin from where she bit through her lip. Narcissa led her to the study, sitting her on the sofa. Narcissa disappeared for a moment, returning with a glass of water. She put it to Chandra's lips, tilting it back gently, letting her drink.
As she sat the glass on the table Chandra Tried to get up, only to fall back onto the sofa. She cursed out in a hoarse voice.
"Fuck… why did he do it that many times…"
"I don't know…"
Chandra slowly stood up, and wrapped Narcissa in a hug.
"Thank you Cissy."
Narcissa smiled and returned the hug before Chandra stumbled back a bit, but stayed on her feet. She examined the redhead and gave her a worried look.
"Will you be able to apparate back?"
Chandra gave a small nod before she quickly disapparated while she had the strength, leaving Narcissa alone.
Hogwarts
With a pop Chandra was standing in her little secluded spot in the forbidden forest. She groaned in pain as she began to stagger her way out of the forest.
At Hagrids hut Luna and Bella sat with the half giant. Bella was talking with him about some of the food they served at breakfast and Luna was playing with her dog.
Bella laughed at a joke that Hagrid made but stopped when the man's eyes went wide, looking toward the treeline. She turned to see Chandra struggling to stay on her feet. Luna had apparently noticed before them because she was still as stone, her eyes glued on her trembling girlfriend as she trudged towards the group.
Luna sprung up and ran to Chandra, the dog running after her. As she made it to her, Chandra collapsed. The Ravenclaw caught the woman, her knees buckling under the new weight. Bella caught up to them and looked at her servant. She watched as her body twitched and jerked. She turned Chandra's face to look at it and saw where the blood was coming from. Luna looked at Bella with tears in her eyes, looking for an answer.
"The torture curse… let's get her inside…"
They got Chandra to her dorm and put her on the bed just in time for Hermione to walk in. She looked at her cousin then to Bella.
"What happened?"
"He tortured her."
"Why... does he know?"
"I doubt it…"
Hermione looked at her, confused. Bella gestured for the two girls to follow her into the living area. As the three of them sat down Bella looked at Hermione and Luna.
"He was giving her what he felt she missed out on during the summer."
The two younger witches exchanged strange looks before Hermione looked back at Bella.
"What do you mean?"
"Tom is actively protecting your family, on Chandra's request. He is not pleased with helping muggles and that is what she does as a type of payment, and proof of loyalty."
Bellatrix could see the pain in Luna's eyes and the confusion on Hermione's face. She let out a sigh before she continued.
"After every meeting, Chandra is to endure the Cruciatus curse. She only gets it once. And she has built up a resistance to it… but this...I assume he hit her with it multiple times for missing multiple meetings during the summer."
Bella watched as tears fell down Luna's face and Hermione's face contorted in disgust.
"That's sick…"
"There is nothing we can do. It was her choice to become a deatheater and to ask that your family be protected."
Hermione's expression softened as they heard Chandra groan. A minute later the woman slowly walked out of her room, wiping the blood from her chin. The three women looked at the redhead waiting for her to talk.
Chandra looked at them for a moment, seeing Luna crying. She made her way over to the sofa and sat next to her, pulling her into a tight hug, despite the pain.
"I'm okay Luna."
Bellatrix stood and offered her hand to Hermione.
"Come, sweetheart. Let them be alone."
Hermione took her hand and left with her, leaving Chandra and Luna on the sofa.
Chandra rubbed Luna's back as she cried. She kissed the girl's head and waited to talk until she heard the loud crying toun to light sniffles. She let go of her and tilted Luna's face up to look at her.
"Everything is going to be okay. I won't ever come home like this again. Okay?"
Luna dried her eyes as she nodded. Chandra sighed and laid back on the sofa only for Luna to press her lips roughly to hers. Chandra jumped in surprise. Luna was never this forward. As they parted Luna looked at her with worried eyes.
"You scared me…"
"I know… I'm sorry…"
Chandra smiled and ran her fingers through Luna's hair. She looked at the sweet girl who practically sat in her lap. She couldn't even believe she even ended up with her.
"So… you never told me how long you were into me. You said I never noticed you, so it's obvious that I wouldn't know when your feelings started…"
Luna looked at her with a strange look. Chandra nudged her a bit, trying to get her to talk. She needed to get the girls mind off of what happened, besides she really did want to know. Luna looked down a bit and smiled as she talked.
"The first day you were here… at dinner Hermione was looking for you. She kept glancing around the room and I thought it was odd...so...I watched her to see what she was searching for."
"Then you saw me messing with her."
Luna nodded.
"I thought you were beautiful."
"Thought? I still am…"
Luna nudged her gently, earning a chuckle from the redhead.
"I watched you at every meeting… you didn't try to cast the patronus charm…"
"I was told deatheaters don't have a patronus."
"Have you tried… The patronus is attached to happy memories. It seems to me that you have plenty…"
Chandra smiled and looked at her.
"Of you."
Luna smiled back at the Hufflepuff and kissed her gently as Chandra wrapped her arms around her. As the kiss stopped Chandra rested her head on Luna's.
"Tell you what...let me rest for a day… then i'll try to produce one."
"Did you have one before?"
"Yes...it was a hummingbird."
Luna smiled and nodded, agreeing to the plan. The two girls stood up, Luna supporting Chandra. They made their way to the bedroom to get some much needed rest.
