Hermione stood in the living area of her dorm glaring at the two deatheaters on the sofa. A wave of anger went through her body and her head was beyond hurting but she ignored it. She couldn't believe what she was just told.

"You mean to tell me that you made her vow to protect me until the war is over?"

"Yes…"

"And if she doesn't uphold the vow… she will die…"

"Yes…"

She gave Bella a look that radiated with anger, making the dark witch sink back into the sofa as she spoke.

"You're angry…"

"She's my cousin! What about Luna!?"

Chandra cleared her throat, getting her cousin's attention.

"To be fair, Luna wasn't in the equation when the vow was made…"

"Well she is now, Chandra!"

Chandra looked at the floor to avoid her cousin's gaze as she felt the sting of her words. The brunette took a deep breath and looked at Bella, who was holding her head. She had forgotten about the effects of the prophecy and she now felt bad for hurting the dark witch. She sighed, running her fingers through her hair. She eventually calmed down a bit and continued her rant, less angry than before.

"This vow is useless now that you have all the time in the world to make sure nothing happens to me. Not to mention I have friends… and if not them, I can take care of myself if need be."

Bellatrix looked at the floor, ashamed of her actions. Hermione sighed and opened the door and without having to say anything Chandra quickly left the dorm. Hermione closed the door and looked at Bella. The woman was still staring at the floor but Hermione noticed her playing with something in her pocket.

Hermione sat down by her and kissed her cheek, no response. The brunette then got up and stood in front of her. She lent forward, pressing a long, rough kiss to the deatheater's lips, smiling when she felt bellas fingers in her hair. They parted and Hermione looked into Bella's eyes. She could see the hurt in them and it made her feel terrible.

"I'm sorry Bella, I know you were just trying to keep me safe…"

Bella didn't speak but Hermione noticed she was still playing with whatever was in her pocket.

"What's that Bella?"

Bella pulled her onto her lap and kissed her softly.

"I was going to wait a few days… until your birthday… but…"

Bella pulled out a beautiful black and silver ring with the Black family crest on it. Hermione blushed as she looked at the ring.

"I thought only the head of the house had a house ring?"

"I am the head of the house of Black."

"What about sirius?"

"He was disowned. That made me the eldest since his brother went missing… and is most likely dead."

Hermione looked at the ring for a moment before Bella spoke softly.

"You need to think about this, once you put it on it will create a bond… a bond that will mark you as mine, even when you take it off for any reason. I don't want you to rush into this pet, I jus-"

"Yes."

Bella looked at the brunette in her lap, in shock of what she just heard. Hermione smiled at her, making the dark witch calm down a bit and smile lightly.

"It will hurt a bit when you first put it on."

Hermione nodded as Bella picked up her hand. She smiled as Bella slipped the ring onto her finger, until a burning sensation came from the metal band. She let out a light hiss as the burning stopped. Bella looked at her as she slid the ring off, revealing a replica of the crest on Hermione's finger, just a few shades darker than her own skin. She looked at it before giving Bella a questioning look. Bella smiled and slid the ring back onto Hermione's finger.

"Don't worry, pet. It didn't really burn you, the magic involved does make it feel as if it did."

Hermione looked down at the ring and smiled.

"I love you Bella."

Bellatrix kissed her and gently whispered to her.

" Hermione Jean Black… I like the sound of that, don't you?"

Hermione smiled and nodded before kissing the dark witch, wrapping her arms around the woman's neck.

The boy's dorm

Harry and Ron sat in the living area playing chess when Draco came running in. The blonde boy sat down roughly and looked at Harry.

"I need to look at your map, like right now."

Harry looked at him with a strange look.

"Why d-"

"Now!"

Harry quickly went to his sleeping quarters and returned with the map already unfolded. He handed it to Draco and watched as the blonde searched it. Eventually he found what he was looking for.

"There he is."

He pointed at Professor Snape's name, which was moving rather quickly down a corridor.

"He has been acting rather shifty every time he is near one of us, am I the only one that has noticed?"

Harry and Ron shrugged, making Draco groan in annoyance as he returned his attention to the map. Snape made it to the end of the corridor and then his name just disappeared. The three boys looked at each other as they spoke in unison.

"The room of requirement."

Harry scrunched up his nose in confusion.

"What would he possibly be doing in there?"

Ron looked at the two of them and shrugged.

"Maybe it's nothing, he's a teacher after all.

Draco shook his head. He stared at the map for a moment before looking back at Ron.

"He's acting very suspicious. He seems on edge for some reason."

"Then we should warn McGonagall and be done with it."

"Like she would trust the word of three students. How has that worked for you in the past?"

Ron threw his hands up in defeat.

"Alright then Malfoy. What do you think we should do?"

"We need to let someone know, but McGonagall just isn't the right person at this time."

"Then who?"

Harry shrugged as the two of them fell silent. The two of them looked at him as he cleared his throat.

"You know, if we think he's up to something, telling Chandra wouldn't be a bad choice."

Draco laughed a bit.

"I'm sorry, Potter… are we talking about Chandra? Loud, angry, and klutzy Chandra."

"It's not a bad idea Draco. No one knew she was working for Bellatrix or that she was a deatheater other than you and your family until she passed out at the ministry."

Draco crossed his arms as Harry continued.

"You have to admit, Chandra was great at keeping a low profile and doing her job. Maybe we can get her to watch snape… gather evidence perhaps."

Mere moments later Draco stood at Chandra's door. He huffed and knocked. A few seconds went by before he heard someone tip over something. After a bit of muffled cursing the door opened and Chandra glared at him.

"What do you want, blondie?"

"We need your help with something…"

Chandra raised a brow as she followed the boy across the hall, into his dorm. She sat in one of the armchairs and listened to the three of them explain. They spoke of Snape and his dodgy behavior and how he has been going into the room of requirement. By the end of their explanation Chandra thought Draco looked like a crazy conspiracy theorist. She rubbed the bridge of her nose.

"Draco, this is fucking stupid…"

"No it's not! I swear something is going on. Would you rather me get Aunt Bella?"

"Well, cover your eyes if you go in there. I can hear them in my kitchen."

Draco's face contorted in disgust and the other boys laughed. Chandra sighed as she stood up.

"Look, I'll do this. But I'm doing it to prove to you that you're wrong."

"What! How am I wrong! What happened in your meeting yesterday."

Chandra tensed up as she remembered Voldemort mentioning a mission that only a select few knew about the details. She looked at Draco.

"There's a mission… the people were selected in secret… but he can't be one."

"Are you sure?"

Chandra looked to her boots as she ran the possibility through her mind. She looked up shortly before speaking.

"I'll do it, don't expect the results you want, blondie."
