This was it. The big one. This was going to be the one and only chance for something like this to work in such a miraculous way. It had to work. For the sake of science, it had to be completed and done to perfection. There was no time to screw up. Fever was never going to allow this moment to perish. It was her time to strike, or she will never be taken seriously again.

The raccoon zipped and zoomed everywhere she could in the laboratory of hers. Passing by the chemicals bubbling and all of the advanced technology she had like a breeze. Of course, she wasn't alone with acting so rushed with what her big project was. By control panels and a lever was a hooded figure who was pressing buttons and activating the machines to roar back to life.

"Doctor Fever, are you sure this is the perfect night to do this?" The hooded figure asks while he pulls down his hood to reveal himself to be a bat-eared fox. "I mean, we can't always trust the weather channel."

The raccoon mad scientist paused and looked at her assistant with sweat dripping on her forehead and an annoyed look. "It's Doctor Franken Fever, and I don't need some suit and tie wearing weather mammal to tell ME what's going to happen. For I can sense it!"

The mammal was puzzled by his boss, but he didn't mind since he was being paid handsomely to stand there, look pretty, and press buttons while doing nightly jobs of taking pieces of animal corpses from their local police station autopsy room. That's what the fuss is all about on this big project that Fever and her new apprentice have been working on for months: to bring back a dead being from the otherworld and have them live among the living mammals.

Tonight was going to be a big moment in scientific history. This was the one and only chance for FrankenFever to finally finish her lifelong dream of bringing the dead back to life. She was a strange raccoon, but she knew what she was doing; at least, that's what the mammal behind the panel was hoping for.

"Since I got the brain put in her head today, tonight is the perfect night for the thunderstorms to strike the bolts on my creations neck and bring her back as one whole mammal!" Fever laughed insanely before she started to chug the can of dr pepper as her premature celebration drink.

"You didn't soak the brain in Dr Pepper like you did with the rest of the body parts and organs, right?" The mammal asked with him being finished with turning on the machines and now waiting for the raccoon's cue.

"...Anyways Spencer, you should have faith in me. I'm doing something so big and so amazingly great for science that I will get the key to the city for this! Maybe the key to the entire WORLD! AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"Oook. After this, I want my paycheck."

BOOM

There it was. The sound of success echoing in the castle that Fever had "rented" for free. The dark clouds hovering above the stoned towers were a clear sign that it was now time for the final test to begin.

"It came sooner than expected." Fever took another sip before placing the can down on a table. "SPENCER! OPEN THE ROOF AND I WILL RAISE OUR BEAUTIFUL CREATION!" She said while running past her created project that was wrapped in a sheet so neither Spencer nor any other guests could see the work Fever has done yet; that is, until she can bring her work to life with help of the clouds thunderous lightning.

Spencer pressed and held onto the button to have the mechanical door above the roof open. It was tall and wide enough for the table to go through. As for the table, Fever stopped next to the lever and pulled it with quick force as every single second counted. There the table started to move upwards as Fever and Spencer looked on to see it rise up to the roof.

More thunder started to roar out, to which made Fever almost giddy with joy as she was getting much more power than she was anticipating. Surely, it will work now more than ever and the raccoon was thinking of gulping down the keg of dr pepper waiting in her office.

The body and table went through the hole and was now being exposed to the lightning. Spencer watched the gauge of how much power the body was taking. As soon as the thunder was heard, he looked to see a huge spike of power rise up in the corpse thanks to the bolts Fever had planted in her neck. All they needed was one or two more powerful hits.

KABOOM

"Just one more! WE NEED ONE-"

BOOOMMM

"WE GOT IT DR FRANKENFEVER!"

"QUICKLY SPENCER, SHUT THE ROOF!" Fever pulled the lever back in place to lower the table that started to smoke as the roof started to close and seal tightly to prevent the rain and lightning strikes from getting in the lab. The smoky table and body started to lower down until it was back in usual spot where Fever and Spencer started to walk over slowly and cautiously towards the covered body.

"Huh. Strange how the blanket isn't on fire." Fever adds as Spencer steps beside her.

"Guess you got a fire resistant one." Spencer points out, much to the raccoon just not caring on whether or not the cloth was fireproof. For now, she had her eyes focused on seeing if her project was a success.

The raccoon and bat-eared fox grabbed the cloth and removed it so the body was in full view. She was perfect for a corpse. The female with multiple stitches and different body parts was one of the strangest things that Spencer had ever seen, but oddly...she looked beautiful in such a strange manner. A rabbit fox hybrid that was steaming from the strikes of lightning bolts wasn't moving as Fever had hoped. Did the scientist fail? Was it true that nobody could ever bring the dead back to life?

Fever was going to throw in the towel. Everyone was right: no one could do something as big as this. Maybe they could call Pluto a planet, but to make a hybrid being come back from the dead seems to be impossible now. The raccoon sighed and looked over to her partner. There, she saw him jump in a startled movement. She looked back and saw what frightened the poor guy.

Her eyes. Her green eyes. They glowed like glow sticks which even made the raccoon feel a shiver down her spine. She wasn't expecting her creation to have such radiating eyes, but yet the creature was. The hybrid was moving. It worked!

"YES! Riisseeee, Waverly, RIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE!" Fever shouted as she raised her arms up with the hybrid starting to sit up straight and look at her surroundings. She saw the energetic raccoon mad scientist who was screaming and almost dancing like a mad woman. Then she saw the laboratory equipment and all of the strange devices and gear. Her eyes suddenly stopped and looked at the one thing that made her curiosity peak: Spencer.

She tilted her head. She never had seen a mammal quite like him before. Her dr pepper-filled smart brain that's stapled inside of her skull knew a lot of mammals, but not one of a bat-eared fox. Instantly, she thought of what he already is.

"Hybrid?" She could say in a low voice that sounded soft but slightly deepish. She had been risen from the dead after all, so it makes sense that she would sound deep due to her vocal cords and her muscles not working so properly yet.

Spencer shook his head. "Uhh, no. I'm just an average boy. Or, male I guess I can say." He never in his life spoke to a zombie, or at least a dead being. He was just surprised it worked at all; he was lucky to not place any bets with Fever, who still danced and celebrated.

Waverly spoke again. "Boy?"

Spencer was seemingly flustered by the way she was. A dead hybrid creation was talking to him and he couldn't help but feel almost shy by her. She was beautiful in death and in life, and the mammal couldn't believe Fever made this loving creation be brought back from the underworld.

"Well, you can call me friend. Or Spencer if you want." He said to attempt to do proper communication with her and help her brain learn the ways of properly speaking. He reached over for a bottle of water, since he is the only one here that doesn't drink sugary drinks as much as the raccoon does. He began to do a small sip.

"Boy...friend...Spencer." Waverly raises a hand and points her digit at him. "Boyfriend."

In a shocking state, Spencer was quick to spit out some water that he had in his mouth. He was lucky he didn't spit on her and only on the blanket. "Y-you mean me, who is a boy and also can be your fr-"

"AHA!" Fever came back with a stick in hand with a ripped piece of cloth wrapped around the top of it. "I finally found my celebration stick."

"Ummm, Fever?" Spencer started to walk over to his boss in an attempt to not get awkward around Waverly, who still stared at him and waved slightly. "I think you made a monster that...uhh...is confused with love."

Fever looked astonished by what she had just heard. "Waverly? Has feelings already? Dang, I wish I was brave enough to be flirty. Guess I gotta study on her more to use it to my- I mean, to the peoples advantage of scoring a date. Still, that's good news!"

"M-maybe for you, but not for m-"

"LET'S START THIS CELEBRATION!" In a flash, the racoon pulled out her blue lighter from her pocket pouch and flicked it on so the small flame was lit. She brought the lighter over to the cloth and so now she had a torch to use for her celebration. She was about ready to kick in gear and get her keg of soda when a girly scream invaded her ears.

She looked over to Spencer, who didn't make that sound as she had thought. Her attention went over to Waverly who shrieked in terror.

"FIRE BAD! FIRE EVIL!" Waverly got herself up and off the table while going over to Spencer's side.

"Oh great!" Fever said with an annoyed tone and breath. "Now I gotta train her that fire is the only thing that keeps the world going."

Waverly refused to listen. "FIRE BAD! ME PROTECT BOYFRIEND FROM FIRE! FIRE EEEVVIIILLLLL!" In that long yell, she grabbed and lifted up the bat-eared fox over her head with her raw powerful strength she suddenly had.

Spencer was in a panicked motion. "FEVER! HELP! I'M NOT READY TO BE THE BRIDE AND HAVE KIDS AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY YET! IT'D BE TOO SOON!" His pleas for assistance were cut off as the hybrid ran away from the fire and the raccoon and crashed herself and Spencer into the door and through the walls to escape, all the while Spencer's attempts to cry out for help started to dim until the room was quiet; minus the crackling of the fire.

The raccoon mad scientist was now alone. Only the destruction of her creature and the torch and the filled keg were all that was left in the room. She looked at the holes in the walls as she stood there in silence. She looked at the flames and blew them out since the celebration ended so abruptly.

"Well...I'll pay him tomorrow if he lives. Or I gotta attend his wedding with his new corpse bride. Or both." She threw the stick away and reached into her pocket to pull out her phone. Within seconds, she started to dial the numbers and started to make a call. "Hey dad. Listen...if you or mom hear the reports of a monster running down the street while taking a bat eared fox hostage and saying he is her boyfriend, could you not report me for disturbing the peace again?"
