Day 14

The next day was Sunday and the boys slept late. Around noon they finally pulled themselves out of bed, showered, and went to get something to eat. Then they walked to Atsumu's room to get what he needed to finish his school work today. They went back to Kiyoomi's room to study and hang out for the afternoon.

At about four o'clock, they were both restless and tired of sitting still. Atsumu was falling asleep on his textbook. He yawned.

"Hey, Omi-omi, wanna go get some coffee or somethin'? I need a break."

"Okay," answered Sakusa. They walked together to the coffee shop near campus, enjoying the fresh air. When they arrived and got inside, Kiyoomi was a bit upset to see that the woman who had flirted with Atsumu was working again. Atsumu noticed too because he stiffened for a moment, but this time he was prepared for the possibility at least.

"Hi!" said Kiyoko brightly as they approached the counter. "What can I get for you today?" They placed their orders and when she came back with Atsumu's coffee she pouted a little. "You never called me, Miya. Should I give up?"

"Well, yeah. I'm … seeing somebody." She looked like someone just kicked a puppy.

"Oh, that's too bad. Well, if she ever breaks your heart, you know where to find me."

"Haha," he laughed awkwardly. She handed them the rest of their order and they turned to find a table. Atsumu felt awkward but at least was convinced he had handled the situation better than he had the last time.

They sat across from each other at a small table and started eating their snacks. Kiyoomi didn't say anything so Atsumu broke the silence. "Yer not upset are ya? I told her I wasn't interested."

Omi looked up into Atsumu's brown eyes and saw worry. He quickly said, "No. I know. It was fine."

"Did ya want to tell people yet? I didn't think ya did so I didn't say it was you."

Sakusa nodded, "No. Yes. I don't know. Do you want to tell people?" He was nervous, Atsumu could tell. What was he afraid of?

"Are ya afraid of people knowing yer dating a guy or are ya afraid they'll know yer dating me?"

Atsumu felt vulnerable at that particular moment. He wanted to tell people about their relationship. He was not ashamed of who he was and he really liked Sakusa and wanted everyone to know they were together. But he really wasn't sure what his boyfriend felt.

Sakusa feared he would mess up what was he was trying to say, but hated the look of hurt in Atsumu's eyes so he tried to reassure him. "No! It's not you. I've just never been in a relationship before. I'm a little scared of … actually, I don't know what I'm scared of. Maybe… maybe of telling people and then having it not work out between us."

There, he said it though he felt raw having revealed so much of himself. Atsumu's eyes softened and that kindness came back again. "I know it's scary, but I'm not goin' anywhere. I really like being with ya, Omi." He smiled a reassuring smile and Omi nodded briefly and looked down into his coffee.

Atsumu's kindness was one thing he really loved about him. Wait, did he love 'Tsumu? He liked him a lot and he loved being around him. He wanted to be with him all the time. And he wanted him to be happy. Did that mean he loved him? He wasn't sure. This relationship stuff was confusing.

"So, maybe we can start telling people, slowly," ventured Sakusa. Atsumu seemed satisfied.

"Okay, slowly. Like when it comes up, not all like a big announcement, yeah? For now anyway?"

"Yeah, sounds good," replied Kiyoomi, still feeling scared but reassured by Atsumu's attitude.

Sakusa had always been a private person, but he knew Atsumu was more open. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, letting people know. Maybe it would even feel good, freeing somehow. One thing was for sure, he was about to find out.

Later that night, when they had both finished their school work, they decided to watch a movie. Kiyoomi was sitting on his bed with his back against the headboard and Atsumu had his head in Omi's lap. Throughout the movie, Atsumu was running his hands in small circles on the inside of Omi's thighs, making the spiker slowly lose his mind. Sakusa wondered if Atsumu was even aware of what he was doing.

"That was amazing, 'Tsumu."

Atsumu lifted his head and looked up into his boyfriend's face. "Glad ya liked it, Omi-omi."

"Come here," said Kiyoomi. He pulled gently on Atsumu's hair to bring him closer for a kiss. "I… I don't think I can do that yet."

"It's okay, babe."

"Really?" Dark eyes were searching brown ones for signs of disappointment.

"Really. When yer ready." Sakusa was relieved. He had come a long way in the last two weeks, for sure, but the thought of having a dick in his mouth… well. He figured he had originally thought Atsumu's tongue in his mouth would be gross too and he got used to that, but he needed a bit more time for this.

"Thanks for understanding." Kiyoomi realized then just how much he loved Atsumu's kindness and patience. Maybe I really do love him, he thought. He kissed his boyfriend again, gently this time, and said "You're amazing, you know that?" Atsumu only blushed and kissed him some more. "Yer pretty amazing yerself."
