Why had Sylvie kissed him before shoving him through the portal and sending him here? It didn't make sense! None of this made sense! He was literally sitting on the ground in an empty room somewhere in the TVA crying. He hardly ever cried! She could have just pushed him through but no, she had to throw him onto an emotional rollercoaster and kiss him. His head was in his hands and his entire body was shaking. Did she not feel for him what he felt about her? The thought hurt too much so he blocked it out. Well, she had kissed him, so she must have felt something for him, or maybe she had just done it to spite him and tell him she hated him. That didn't sound like Sylvie though, she may have been ruthless and tough but she was not cruel. So why?
This was ridiculous, he, Loki, the god of mischief was sitting on the floor in an empty room with his head in his hands crying. Pull yourself together! He thought. He quickly stood up, wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his shirt and tried to get himself to calm down and think straight. He needed to stop thinking about Sylvie right now because all it was going to do was make him emotional and muddle his brain. He needed to figure out how he was going to find Mobius. That was a good plan, right? Because if he found Mobius then he could help him find Sylvie and… and now he was thinking about her again! Why couldn't he get her off his mind?
Finding Mobius, that's what Loki was supposed to be doing. He left the room and walked down the hallway toward the room he had named the file room where he knew Mobius went when he wanted a quiet spot to sit, or when something bad was happening. As he quickly walked down the hallway, several groups of Minutemen jogged past him, knocking him aside on their way to… he didn't know. It was odd because they were running in complete synchronicity and didn't seem to notice him at all. He turned around again and continued toward the file room. Rushing in and quickly scanning the aisles he finally spotted Mobius talking to hunter B15. They were huddled in front of something conversing in hushed tones. Even with his enhanced Asgardian hearing he could barely tell what they were saying. He managed to make out a few words as he got closer though, "is there anything we can do to stop it?" "It's completely out of control," "in all my time at the TVA I've never seen anything like this,"
"Mobius!" Loki said breathlessly, "look, I need your help."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down" Mobius responded.
"Yes I probably should," Loki responded, taking a deep breath to continue before Mobius cut him off,
"Who are you? Are you from the research department?" What? He thought. Confusion flooded his mind.
"No, I'm Loki, don't you remember me?" What was going on?
"I've never seen you before in my life," he said said. Ok, Mobius didn't remember him, this was bad. He turned to look out the glass window next to him, a feeling of dread washing over him as a thought occurred to him. He froze as he beheld a giant statue of He Who Remains where there used to be one depicting the Time Keepers. He was in a different timeline. Crap.
Loki's attention flew back to Mobius as he heard the man say quietly,
"Security, I've got a suspicious man in the library, white male with shoulder length curly black hair and blue eyes, around six feet tall," He had to get out of here right now or he was going to end up back in a cell. He took off running to the left, he didn't really know where he was going or how he planned to escape, he just knew he didn't want to be struck in a time loop with Lady Sif again, or worse, be forced to watch how his life was supposed to go on a screen.
Loki rounded a corner, the white tiled floor offering no traction to help him move faster, and began to sprint. He made it about twenty yards before Ravona Renslayer popped out from behind a doorway and stabbed something, a needle, into his arm. Immediately he began to feel woozy and his vision began to blur. No! He wasn't going to be stopped this easily! Through his hazy, blurry vision he could barely see the outline of a woman as she strapped something around his neck, and then he knew no more.

Sylvie was currently perched on a rock, lost in thought. Well it wasn't just any rock, and this wasn't just any old place. This was Lamentis 1, and the rock she sat on was the same one she had sat on the last time she was here with Loki. She didn't really know why she had come here, it had just felt right. Pieces of the approaching planet that had doomed this moon were rocketing across the sky, each one leaving a trail of dust or smoke. Some had caught fire as they fell and were trailing lines of light across the sky that disappeared almost as soon as she saw them. It was a bit ironic how beautiful the whole thing was, it was the beginning of an event that would wipe out an entire race and it was absolutely breathtaking. How had she never noticed this before? She had been here dozens of times but had somehow failed to see the splendor of the picture right above her head. She would have to leave soon to avoid being hit by one of the beautiful asteroids but for now she was content to sit there and watch. She heard a particularly loud boom behind her as one of the asteroids struck the moon, but she didn't really mind, it hadn't even come close to hitting her so she deemed it irrelevant. At least until she noticed a sobbing little girl on the edge of the field. She appeared to have come from somewhere near a small house that had been crushed in the huge collision that had just taken place. The girl began to make her way, stumbling and tripping over debris, toward Sylvie. She got up and walked toward the child. The girl reminded Sylvie of herself when she was little. She was clinging to a small toy that appeared to be a dragon and had long dark hair that framed two dark and terrified eyes. She wore black leggings that were covered in dirt and dust, along with a bulky silver coat, which was also covered in dust and dirt. She saw children like this in apocalypses all the time. Dirty, scared, confused, and desperate. Sylvie usually delivered them to a shelter where they could at least die surrounded by others of their kind.No child deserved to die scared and alone.
"Was that your home?" Sylvie asked. The child nodded, tears running down her face and her whole body shaking. She had seen a group of natives gathering in an underground space nearby, that's where she would take the girl. "It's alright," Sylvie told the child as she stooped down and picked her up. She'd found that talking and answering simple questions often helped calm them down. "I'm Sylvie, what's your name?" This was a softer side of herself that she didn't really let show often.
"I'm Alice," the girl said. She was still trembling but at least the tears were stopping. She was speaking in her native tongue, but Sylvie's Asgardian heritage, which allowed her to understand any language, and knowledge of the universal language that all intelligent species could understand allowed her to communicate with almost everyone she met.
Sylvie quickly found the group of natives and left the girl with a man who the child had said was her grandfather and was on her way back to her rock when suddenly a feeling that something very bad had just happened washed over her. The feeling was akin to what she had felt when Loki had been about to say something to her only to be interrupted by Renslayer pruning him and sending him to the end of time. What had he been going to say? She didn't know. Had something bad happened to Loki? Sylvie had sent him back to the TVA because she knew Mobius was there and that Loki would probably come and find her later. What if he was angry with her? What if he hadn't understood that she had kissed him as a sort of apology for what she had been about to do? It was possible, she had just been holding a blade to his neck when she had kissed him and thrown him through the Time Door as a last resort to get him away so she could kill He Who Remains. He had practically professed his love for her in the only way he really knew how when she had done it. Sylvie cringed, yeah that probably didn't send a good message. She say down again and tried to go back to the relaxed state she had been in before the girl came, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.
