Before the great war of 2077, there lived a faction of scientists that saw nuclear energy as the downfall of man created many things to substitute their needs with more conventional technology. Free from the prying eyes of the government, these tinkers created smaller, more powerful computers, and advanced computers, cellular devices of great computing, cassette tapes, and highly efficient diesel engines to name a few of their scientific achievements. But the crown Jewel of their research was a massive system of underground bunkers of varying purpose and size, though this one was partially funded by the government.

Eventually, the culture of patriotism and extreme hatred for the communists was phased out in favor of a more liberal lifestyle. But the government, specifically the Enclave, saw this as a threat to the vice-like grip they had over America. And so they plotted, waiting for the opportune moment to strike and crush the dissenters.

The year was 2020. 18 years since the founding of Wes Tek, they had been developing a project that would serve as a precursor to what would one day be known as the F.E.V or Forced Evolutionary Virus. Unfortunately, the vials and test subjects that were contained in the research facility managed to escape and cause mass chaos in Los Angeles. In truth however, enclave spies unleashed the mutants by driving them insane using certain frequencies.

The scientists opened their Burrows to the masses and everyone hid underground as Enclave began a long and effective cover up story by throwing conspiracy theories and coating them in more theories. The Data for the Burrows were collected by deeply imbedded agents while the rest of their work was appropriated for public use or outright destroyed. Soon, the Mutagenics from Wes Tek began forcing the local Flora and Fauna to grow at an exponential rate.

To put the final nail on the coffin, they cordoned off the area. No plane may enter its skies, no vessel its water, and no foot on its soil, this strictly enforced policy was kept up until Los-Angeles was…replaced. Some 200 miles to the north, the area that would one day become the boneyard was created out of thin air. This was Los Angeles, just not the original one. What was once Los Angeles was now but a patch of fiercely guarded land in the North of Mexico.

And then…the bombs fell. On October the 23rd 2077, 57 since the incident, the bombs fell and no one was left to remember…except the ones that started it all.

2199, 10 years since Aradesh was elected president of the NCR. The whirr of Vertibirds roared throughout the Skies of what the locals call… Las Vistas. A squadron of 6 gunship variants unloaded their payload of Mini Nukes and missiles on pile of collapsed sky scrapers. Killing scores of Deathstalkers. They were followed by 10 transports that unloaded a full platoon of Enclave soldiers in full advanced power armor. As soon as they landed they were met with more deathstalkers which they promptly mowed down with a hail of plasma shots, laser bolts, lead, and fire.

"Targets neutralized, Captain O'Neil." Sergeant Falk said as he reloaded his Minigun.

"10-4 Falk. Take Alpha and Bravo squads and sweep the south west perimeter, knockout and muties you see enroute. Don't bother sparing ammo, resupply is inbound." The captain ordered.

"Roger that Captain. We'll radio in if we spot anything worthwhile. IF we spot anything that is." Sergeant Falk replied.

The quip was followed by garbled laughter from the Enclave soldiers as they began their operations. Nothing would stop the Enclave, not even Mega Mutes, for they were single-minded in their goal to cleanse America of the mutants that now run amok in every corner of their once proud and powerful nation.

Hello Kipo fans, I am Garviel's Token; amateur writer of all things grimdark and 40K nerd. If you came reading this expecting a happy ending, you have come to the wrong place. No, no, no. This one is for my brothers in the Xenophobic, Tech Hoarding, Community of murderers in both the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave.

But then again, this is a one-shot. I'll keep it going in if either the Fallout fans want to see how a systematic annihilation of an ecosystem is conducted. Or if some Kipo fans think they stand a chance against the ENCLAVE.
