It was a week later when Elsa was finally allowed to carry out her normal activities. The results of the check-up yesterday were quite a relief because the wound had healed beautifully and there were no more significant complaints that she felt. The only complaint she had with Jack was that he hadn't kept his promise to take her on a lobster dinner date.

It wasn't without a reason though. Jack had asked her to go a few days ago but gently, Iduna forbade it because she wanted Elsa to fully recover and use the best time to rest. The whole week was Elsa's most regular week she could remember in her life. Eating and sleeping on time, even her mother insisted on her having snacks at certain times. And the result was that Elsa was able to recover quickly and as a bonus, her cheeks could finally be a little chubby as Iduna remembered.

And that morning, Iduna was setting the table with Olina's breakfast when Kai came inside to give her something. The blue envelope which, according to Kai, was a gift from Olaf. She was confused at first and made sure that the envelope was really meant for her and not for her daughter. Kai said, it was for the both of them. And when she opened the envelope, she smiled and finally sat down to take a closer look at what was inside the envelope. Those were the photos that Olaf took at Elsa's welcome home party which ended with Jack and Elsa's engagement party.

"Good morning, Mom."

Iduna looked up and saw Elsa approaching already in an office suit, her hair back in a elegant bun in her head. She smiled, sometimes she still didn't think that this kind of day would finally come.

"Good morning, Sweetheart." Iduna answered, then looked back at the photos in her hands. It made Elsa curious and after she sat down in the chair next to her, Elsa leaned closer and observed what her mother was looking at.

"What are you looking at?" Elsa asked. A smile appeared on her face when she realized they were photos from her engagement party.

"Olaf gave this." Iduna adjusted her seat so that Elsa could see the photos more clearly. She began to show the photos one by one to her daughter.

"I didn't expect that your engagement party would be so lively even if only a few people attended. Look at this, Sweetheart. Is he your friend? He can be very funny, even though his face looks fierce at first glance." Iduna pointed to one of the pictures of a man slightly bigger and burly than Jack. He was standing with Jack and a woman younger than Elsa, and the three of them looked surprised in the photo. Surely Olaf took their picture without notice.

Elsa giggled before finally nodding. "Yeah. He is Bunny. One of the lawyers in my office, he's Jack's friend. He rarely comes to the office and prefers to work at home or outside the office. He's a tough lawyer. And this is Lucy, I thought you arleady knew her?" She waited until Iduna nodded and then continued. "She's our secretary and my personal assistant."

"Oh, look at this." Iduna showed a photo of when Elsa had just entered the living room and was surprised when everyone shouted welcome home for her. "You are so beautiful, Elsa. Since the first time I held you in my arms, I always believed that you would grow up to be a smart and beautiful woman like you are now." She stared at the photo dreamily, gently rubbing the surface of the photo, right on her daughter's face.

Sensing the sudden melancholy atmosphere, Elsa smiled and was moved to hug her mother from the side. "You're the beautiful one, Mom. Look at you, you're even prettier than me." Said Elsa, also looking at her own photo with Iduna who was still standing next to her because Iduna was still too worried to let her walk alone at that time.

"That can't be true." Iduna took one more photo, the one when Jack was about to propose to Elsa, when Olaf suddenly took one. "Your eyes look exactly like your father's eyes, the way you hold your stare, I mean. His eyes are a little green, your eye colour is more like mine." She was still smiling as she continued to rub her daughter's face without noticing the change in emotion on Elsa's face when she mentioned her father.

"And also, your nature, Elsa. Reminds me a lot of your father. You two are equally stubborn." Added Iduna, still not realizing that Elsa next to her was stunned by her words.

"My father?"

Elsa's question made Iduna realize that she had said something that she had been hiding for a long time. Never once did she mention this to anyone. She turned her head and found her daughter surprised. She realized she couldn't take the words back and she knew she had to say this at some point.

Iduna smiled sadly and brought her hand to hold her daughter's cheek. She caressed it gently and stared at Elsa's face for a while before finally pulling her hand back."Yes, you are like your father."

From a shock, Elsa felt that there was a feeling of happiness slowly emerging. And hope. She was already on cloud nine now to be back with her mother and hearing that she might, be able to meet her father made her feel a kind of excitement.

"Would you mind telling me about him?" Elsa asked hopefully. Knowing who her father was, might pave the way for her to find his whereabouts.

"Good morning." Out of nowhere, Jack was already in the dining room. He walked over to take a seat next to Elsa and stole a quick peck on her cheek. "Good morning, beautiful."

Since none of the women in the room answered his greetings, Jack frowned, thinking he was interrupting something. "I came at the wrong time, didn't I?" He looked at Elsa and Iduna alternately.

"No, Jack. You didn't." It was Iduna who was the first to answer. She smiled and piled up the photos and then handed them to Jack. "We're looking at your engagement photos. You see that first, I'll get you a cup of coffee and tea for you, Sweetheart." She stood up from her seat and before going to the kitchen, she took the time to kiss her daughter's head.

As for Elsa, she had to keep her curiosity about her father in another part of her head because she couldn't possibly ignore Jack, who was sitting next to her, even though she desperately wanted to know the story about her father. She could discuss this later with her mother.

"Good morning to you too, handsome." Now that her mother was not in the same room anymore, Elsa ventured to give Jack a brief kiss on the lips and smiled, and then with him looking back at Olaf's photos.

Marshall came out of his guard post when he heard a car honk outside the gate which he thought sounded different from his mistress car horn. Nor did it sound like Jack's which he had heard so many times.

He opened the small gate that was only enough for one person to come in and out just to see who was coming to visit because he couldn't just open the big gate right away. When he was in front of the gate, he saw a black pick up truck parked with the car engine still running. Slowly, the driver's window opened, revealing a man in his early forties with blond hair and a thin mustache.

"Is this Elsa Winters' residence?" The man asked, pointing casually at the building in front of him before Marshall even greeted him.

"Yes. May I help you, Sir? What is your name?" Marshall asked politely. Although he had the right to be suspicious of anyone seeking his mistress, he still had to be polite with anyone who might be his mistress' client.

"Is she home now?" The man asked again, still in the same tone.

"She's not home yet. If I may know, what is your name and and what do you need from Miss Elsa? I can tell her that you came and what your need when she gets home."

"What time does she come home?" He asked instead.

"I don't know, Sir. If you want to tell me your name and your need, I can tell her later." Marshall began to lose his decency and his suspicions grew that this visitor had bad intentions because he didn't answer his question about his name. And he also tried not to give out any important information including when his mistress usually left and came home. It could be important information for those who had malicious intention towards her.

The man also seemed to be trying to keep himself calm because the person he was looking for was not at home and at this time he had to deal with the guard who were asking too many questions.

"I have a matter to discuss with your mistress." He said finally.

"You just need to say what your name is and what do you need from Miss Elsa. I'll tell her later." Marshall said in a firmer tone. Made the man finally seem to think.

"There's no need. I'll come back later." The man then closed the window and wasted no time driving his car away from Marshall.

Meanwhile, not far from her Mansion, Elsa was sitting in the passenger seat rubbing her forehead slowly and patiently listening to Jack, who scolded her because he thought she worked too hard on her first day. It wasn't her head that hurt, really, but she was just trying not to argue with anything Jack said to her. She realized that it was only because he cared about her.

"I'm fine, Jack. Really. I could still work a few more hours and I would still be fine. I've had more than a week of rest and now I'm just trying to do my unfinished work." Elsa couldn't take it anymore and finally argued with Jack.

"But you agreed to go home early, Elsa." Said Jack, honking because to his luck, he saw Marshall standing outside the gate so he didn't have to wait long for the gate to open.

Elsa sighed because she realized that it was true that she had promised Jack that, but every time Jack knocked on her door, she always asked him to wait a little longer. And 'a little longer' eventually turned into hours.

She then straightened her seat, leaned forward and smiled sweetly in front of Jack's face trying to make Jack smile and not frown anymore. "I'm sorry, okay?"

Jack pulled on the handbrake and turned off the car's engine because they had reached the front porch. It was impossible for him to ignore the adorable face in front of him and it made him pinch Elsa's nose, making her squeal.

"You're lucky that you're adorable and you happen to be my fiancé. It's actually really hard for me to be mad at you, it's just that you should think more about yourself, okay? You can continue your work tomorrow and have Lucy helping you. Now, give me a kiss and I'll pick you up again tomorrow." And before Elsa could answer, Jack had planted his lips on Elsa's and gave her a passionate kiss.

"Wait, you're not staying? Even for a while?" Elsa asked after she pulled away from the kiss.

Jack smiled. "Not this time, because I will interrupt your rest time. It's late, Elsa. I'll see you tomorrow."

Elsa sighed, feeling disappointed. "Okay. See you tomorrow. Text me when you get home and say hello to your Mom."

"As your wish, Your Majesty." Jack bowed a little and then opened Elsa's window as a sign that Marshall was allowed to open the door for her while she prepared with her bag and some of her belongings. And soon enough, the door opened and Marshall greeted her.

"Miss." Marshall nodded his head, he reached out for the laptop bag and brought it for her.

"Thank you, Marshall." Elsa got out of the car and up the porch steps. She turned around for a moment to wave before Jack finally drove the car out of the Mansion's driveway.

She then turned around again and sighed softly as her feet stepped towards the front door. She felt like it had been a long time since she had felt this way, feeling that at last everything was back to normal. She would return to her comfortable bed and rest, then work again the next day.

She smiled remembering that now she wasn't just going to sleep right away because ever since her mother had been living with her, her mother had always taken the time to say goodnight to her before going to bed, as she had promised.

"Finally you're home." Iduna greeted Elsa with worry covering her face which then turned into a relief. She already knew that her daughter would be home late, but still, she would feel worried before seeing her daughter reach home.

"Hey, Mom." Elsa smiled, fully understanding why her mother was worried about her. "I know, and I'm sorry. Jack already scolded me so you don't have to do it again."

"Alright. Have you had dinner?"

"I have. Jack ordered take away chinese food at the office, so I'm stuffed."

Hearing that, finally a smile appeared on Iduna's face. "Now you go clean yourself, I will follow you in a moment to bring you some water."

Iduna was just about to leave when Elsa remembered something that made her grab her mother's hand to hold her. "Mom, would you mind telling me about father before I go to bed?"

"We really loved each other back then." Iduna smiled sadly, because remembering her past made her remember her long lost love.

"When we were dating, I already knew that your father wasn't a good person. He joined street gangs, dealing drugs and illegal weapons, but he was really sweet to me, he loved me so, so dearly. He said that he did all that kind of bad things because he wanted to show his existence, he wanted his father to notice him because he felt lonely. His father was a businessman who always thought about his career, while his mother had left him. Your father once said, having me by his side, made him think to return to the right path and leave all the bad things he did."

Elsa took her mother's hand as moral support because remembering all this must not be easy for her.

"I didn't know where your father went, Elsa. And still do." Tears started to gather in the corner of Iduna's eyes, remembering how painful it was to be abandoned just like that.

"So at that time, when you had a relationship with father... " Elsa couldn't continue her question because after all, her mother's profession as a prostitute before, was a sensitive matter.

"Yes. I had a relationship with your father before I got caught in prostitution." Iduna wiped her tears that fell down her cheeks and sniffled. "Your father just left without me knowing why. But it wasn't just me he left behind. I was pregnant with you. Your grandfather was a very conservative person and he was furious and ashamed to have a daughter who got pregnant before marriage. He kicked me out of the house and no longer wanted to support my life." The tears flowed down from her eyes and she didn't even bother to wipe them.

Elsa felt a lump form in her throat and her chest tightened at the thought of what her mother had gone through at that time. Now she understood why her mother got stuck in such a job. She couldn't bear to imagine if that happened to her and what she would do.

"But did father know that you were pregnant?" Elsa asked, now gently rubbing her mother's shoulder.

Iduna sobbed even harder. "No. He didn't get the chance to know about it. Your father left before I told him about my pregnancy. He didn't know."

"Oh, Mom." Elsa felt very sad knowing what her mother's past was like and she didn't even know what to say. She could feel that from the way her mother had told her about her father, there was an undeniable longing that she had been harbouring all this time. She knew that a true love would never die and she could feel it.

"Mom, even though we don't know where he is now, but may I know what is his name?" Elsa asked hopefully.

Iduna thought for a while before finally nodding and smiling. "Agnarr. Your father's name is Agnarr Arendelle."

Elsa smiled at the name. The name sounded beautiful to her ears and it made her turn her head and pronounce the name in a whisper. "Agnarr Arendelle."

She then lay down and used her mother's lap as a pillow. The gentle caress of her mother's hand on her head and the echo of her father's name in her head, lulled her that night and she fell asleep with a smile plastered on her face.

"That's true, Jack. This man is dad's old friend. Dad had called him here and they had already met. Dad asked him to take revenge on Elsa and her mother." Jamie told Jack when Jack came to visit the next day.

This news really shocked him and for a moment he couldn't believe that even though Manny was already behind bars it didn't stop him from doing bad things.

Jack stopped pacing in front of Jamie and then sat down. "Are you sure about that?"

"Yes, I'm sure, Jack. Bernard told me." Jamie then looked at the surface of the table. "Actually, I'm not allowed to talk about this to anyone. But I'm afraid something will happen to you and Elsa. Dad is getting crazy and desperate, Jack. He can do anything even though he is now in prison."

After a moment of thought, Jamie looked up and looked at his brother expectantly. "Jack, you have to tell Elsa about this. She has to know."

Jack had his own debate in his head. He saw how happy and calm Elsa was right now. He couldn't ruin the moment. He didn't want to tell her about this because it would make her feel insecure again but at the same time he wanted to tell about this because he was sure that Manny's revenge was like a ticking time bomb that could explode at any moment.

Jack looked dreamily at Elsa in front of him who was happily slurping her creamy lobster bisque. It really wasn't elegant for her to slurp like that, but Jack didn't mind because it was a sign that she loved the dish.

But his dreamy look quickly turned to frown as his conversation this afternoon with his brother replayed in his mind.

How could he tell Elsa about Manny's revenge on her when she was so happy right now? Could he protect her without her knowing what was threatening her?

He really was in a dilemma. He really wanted to see that happy face every day without worrying about anything. His train of thoughts were interrupted by Elsa who suddenly stole his classic lobster thermidor with her fork.

"I know you've said many times that I'm beautiful, but you don't have to look at me like that until you forget your own lobster. Why are you asking me out to dinner date at this fancy restaurant if you're just going to stare at me?" Said Elsa with a mischievous smile on her face. She then stole another chunk of lobster from Jack's plate.

"Hey! That's my lobster!" Shouted Jack, pulling his plate away from Elsa, causing Elsa to giggle and cover her mouth with her hand, which was holding the fork.

"Stop daydreaming and eat your food then. That lobster can no longer crawl up to get into your mouth." Elsa replied, now starting to savour her bisque again.

Jack just chuckled and did as he was told though he was still thinking about how he would tell Elsa about Manny's attempts to get revenge. For now he decided not to tell her about this and he would find a way first how he would tell Elsa smoothly.

"What did your Mom say when you said I was taking you out to dinner tonight?" Jack asked, taking his mind off the dilemma he was in.

"She didn't say anything. She just said to be careful and don't come home too late." Said Elsa, shrugging. "I guess, since now that I live with my mother, I have a curfew." She added and then laughed at her own thought.

That laugh. Would he still hear that laugh if he told her? Jack let out a deep breath and then smiled. "She just cares about you, Elsa."

"I know."

The two of them then continued their dinner while having small talk. And seeing Elsa in front of him who was so happy, Jack thought it would be better to enjoy the rest of the night with the woman he loves and put the matter aside for the time being.

"How was the dinner?" Iduna asked as she put a glass of water on the nightstand while Elsa was trying to get comfortable under her blanket.

"It was amazing, Mom. Sometimes I wonder how Jack could find a restaurant with such delicious food. That bisque gave me goosebumps the first time it touched my tongue." Said Elsa enthusiastically, the dinner date really impressed her.

Iduna smiled and patted her daughter's arm lightly. She stood up and straightened the blanket covering her daughter's body, and then gave her a brief kiss on the forehead. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, Sweetheart. Now you sleep and rest, okay?"

"Mom?" Elsa asked in a doubtful tone. She looked like she was still contemplating whether to say it or not.

"Yes? What is it?"

"I've been thinking all day and I think I'll try to look for father. I will find him and bring him to you."

Iduna couldn't believe what she heard. She then sat back down and reprocessed what Elsa had just said to her. "Elsa, I don't think that's a good idea. I have absolutely no idea where he is now and I don't want you to be disappointed if later, you can't find your father. Where are you going to start looking for him if you don't even know where he lives now?"

It wasn't that Iduna didn't want Elsa to meet her father, but she didn't want Elsa to be disappointed when she didn't get what she wanted. She had looked for Agnarr before and all to no avail. Rumors had it, Agnarr was hiding from enemy gangs who were looking for him. But she really never knew for sure.

"But you must know where father lived before he left, right?"

"Yes, but-"

"I'm still going to look for father whether you like it or not."
