The Jedi seek to find new ways to carry out the battles of The Clone Wars.
Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano attempt to free Wookie slaves from the Dreaded Separatists…..
The 501st battalion of The Galactic Republic jumps to light speed. Onboard is Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and a young Togruta female who is no older than 14.
They both look at the star map. Captain Rex comes into the room and says.
"General, The Chancellor and the other Jedi Generals wish to speak with you, Sir," He says.
"Thanks, Rex," Anakin says "Come on Ahsoka we have a meeting to attend to" Ahsoka rolls her eyes and says.
"You seem tense," She said as a joke. Anakin just kept walking to the Bridge.
When they meet on the bridge. A holotape transmission of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Jedi Master Mace Windu and Grand Jedi Master Yoda.
"Ah, Young Skywalker, It is a pleasure for you to join us." Chancellor Palpitine says.
"Your Excellency, Masters, you summoned me," Anakin said, trying to stay formal to the leaders. Ahsoka had her arms crossed as she watched her master conversate with the leaders of the Republic.
"Chancellor Palpatine has discovered a new planet. One that holds great promise for the War" Mace Windu said. Anakin listened carefully.
"Hmmm, A disturbance in the force there is. Careful we must. A powerful being there is." Master Yoda said.
"Masters, I'm afraid you caught me in a tight spot. I have been ordered by Obi-wan to infiltrate Separatist forces that have captured and enslaved Wookie fighters on Kashyyyk." Anakin Skywalker said.
"Not to worry, Young Skywalker, the Jedi Masters have already sent Master Plo Koon and Master Fisto to deal with the matter." Chancellor Palpatine said. Anakin was a bit surprised but it quickly went away.
"Skywalker, I must say this. Whatever's down on that planet, it must be preserved." Mace Windu said "It's ancient and sacred. It has been undisturbed by the outside world for quite some time now. Be on your guard for anything Skywalker." Mace Windu finished.
"Yes, Masters I understand. Thank You." Anakin Skywalker said.
"The local systems call the planet Odyessia (O-di-ss-I-ae). It is in the far reaches of the outer rim. The reason that the Republic has such interest in this planet is that it has a powerful metal called Viranium. It comes in the form of a gas, liquid, metal and crystal. The local systems have spoken that the metal is 30 times stronger than pure beskar and the crystals are 20 times stronger than the kyber crystals, the key items that power your lightsabers." Chancellor Palpitine said. "It is best that we gather as much of this Viranium as possible. If we wish to end this dreaded war." Chancellor Palpatine finished.
"We have sent you the coordinates. Master Kenobi should be on his way to that location. And aid you if the Separatists have learned about this." Master Mace Windu said.
"Yes Masters, we'll head there now." Anakin said. After that the holotapes of the 3 leaders disbursed.
"Alright snips you heard them, change of plans we're heading to the outer rim." Anakin said to his Padawan. Ahsoka rolled her eyes and said.
"Yeah, Skyguy, I heard them." Ahsoka said.
Anakin wasn't the least bit surprised to see her like this. Especially after what happened with the Malevolence. When the battle happened she lost a close Clone trooper friend. Gears was his name. They were close friends but because of Anakin's recklessness, it's what got Gears killed. Ahsoka tried to hold back the emotions. He was very close to her. As a good friend always is.
He knew how Ahsoka felt. He lost his mother to the Sand people. That's what angered him, filling him with hatred and fear. Ahsoka held all that back. But all the same, she didn't blame him for the loss of her close friend.
"General, we got the transmission from Coruscant. Setting coordinates to…..Planet Odyessia?" Captain Rex said a bit confused on hearing the name of a planet he's never heard of.
"I know Rex, I've never heard of that planet either. But we have our orders," Anakin said.
Ahsoka wondered what exactly was on the planet. Jedi Master Mace Windu said it was ancient and sacred. Viranium is what they called the resource they were after. And the Separatists would surely go after it.
"Captain change course and call in reinforcements," Anakin said to Wullf Yularen, the admiral of the Resolute.
"Yes, General Skywalker," Yularen said.
The Resolute changed course as it dropped out of hyperspace. The clone officers changed the course to Planet Odyessia. Which was in the far reaches of the outer rim. It would take 4 parsecs to get to the planet.
Ahsoka was in her room. They had installed it recently. She didn't want a room but Anakin insisted on adding it so she could have alone time, or simply meditate. And that's what she was doing. Trying to get her mind off of Gears. But how could she? He was a good friend. A good soldier. And she had lost him in the blink of an eye. But she had to push that aside. If she didn't then it would lead to fear, fear would lead to anger, anger would lead to hate, and hate leads to the Dark side. Which she wanted to avoid as best as she could.
Every Jedi has a struggle with the dark side. As much as she disliked to admit.
But then she heard a groan. A predator groan. It was a mix of a crocodile and a bear. She didn't know what it was. She opened her eyes and looked around her room. Nothing was there. She placed her hand on her forehead.
"I let my guard down, and because of that, I lost control. I need to do better" Ahsoka thought to herself.
She needed some sleep after getting in a battle with CIS droids. It was a few days ago. She hadn't slept since then. And she was beyond tired. It would take about a few hours to get to the planet. So she had some time.
She rested her head on the pillow. She closed her eyes and went right to sleep.
Count Dooku's Castle….
Count Dooku sat on his throne, left in his thoughts. Awaiting his master's orders. A transmission came in from his master.
A hologram of a hooded figure. Darth Sidious.
"What is your bidding my master?" Dooku said as he bowed before him.
"Lord Tyrannus, I have discovered a very valuable planet that could change the tide of this war and perhaps the galaxy, forever." Darth Sidiuos said in a very intimidating tone.
"What makes this planet so valuable and saying that it could change the galaxy and the war, forever." Tyrannus said.
Darth Sidious smiled and said.
"The planet is called Odyessia. It is in the far reaches of the Outer Rim. It contains a very powerful element that we call Viranium. It is a powerful material. The metal is 30 times stronger than pure beskar steel. The crystals are 20 times stronger than the kyber crystals, the key items that power our lightsabers. If we manage to get our grasp on this material, then the war will forever be in the Seperatsist hands, and the Jedi will be no more." Darth Sidious spoke his information about Planet Odyessia. Count Dooku was surprised to hear that such a powerful material is capable of such power.
"Very well my master, however I am troubled." Tyrannus said.
"Yes, you have sensed it too. A powerful being among us. Unlike any other we have seen. The force will be out of balance. This planet may contain this powerful being. If you cross paths with it, eliminate it." Sidious said.
"As you wish my master." Tyrannus said.
"I have sent you the coordinates. Though I suggest that you depart immediately. The Jedi are already on their way. Bring Grievous and Ventress with you to deal with them." Sidious said.
"Another suggestion. I want you to take a Viranium Crystal yourself. And deal with the landing of the clone troopers." Darth Sidious said.
"As you wish, my master." Tyrannus said. After that the hologram of Darth Sidious dispersed.
General Grievous and Asajj Ventress came into the throne room.
"Prepare the ships, we make way to Planet Odyessia." Count Dooku said.
"Yes my lord." Both Grievous and Ventress said.
"I shall not fail you, my master" Tyrannus whispered quietly to himself.
The Resolute…
Anakin watched out the windows of the Bridge. He was worried about the mission. Grievous or Dooku would surely come after a material like Viranium for whatever reason.
"General Skywalker, Reinforcements are on their way. General Kenobi is also en route." Captain Rex said.
Anakin turned his head and said.
"Thanks Rex, you're dismissed." Anakin said. Rex saluted Anakin and went on his way back to his post.
Meanwhile, Ahsoka was in a dream or a vision…
Ahsoka looked around. She wasn't in the Resolute. Instead, she was in a massive forest area. Which was connected to a beach. She stood there on the beach as she looked out to the vast ocean.
A groan was heard. It sounded like the one she heard. Just then a Volcano erupted behind her.
A massive explosion broke out as rocks and lava shot out. A massive cry came. A menacing and intimidating screech. That's when she saw a massive pterodactyl with a vulture beak. Its eyes were orange.
It crawled out of the Volcano as it continued to make loud cries. Ahsoka looked in awe and fear. More of awe than fear. But this creature was a sight to see.
Then a groan was heard in the ocean. Ahsoka turned around slowly. After a few moments of silence, even the big bird fell silent by the groan.
A massive burst of water emerged. Ahsoka had to shield herself from the water. That was when she saw it. A massive monster. Bigger than any creature she had ever seen. Standing at 90 meters tall. A long tail. Its scales were dark. It had dorsal fins with white tips. Its eyes were an amber orange.
The creature made a loud roar.
RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAA
(Millennium Godzilla roar)
Ahsoka then woke up. She jerked herself up quickly. She was sweating a bit but not a lot. She then placed her hand on her forehead.
"What was that?" Ahsoka said to herself with a little bit of fear.
She heard a knock on her door.
"Come in," Ahsoka said.
The Door slid open as Anakin walked through.
"Ahsoka, I just wanted to talk to you." Anakin said. Ahsoka sat up a bit more and let her feet hang off the side of her bed.
Anakin sat next to her not making eye contact. There were a few moments of silence.
Anakin broke it however.
"Ahsoka, I understand how you feel about Gears. I've been there." Anakin said. Ahsoka was a bit surprised. Why was he so worried for her? Sure Gears was a good friend but he didn't need to take it this far. Had she been acting up too much?
"Anakin, it's ok. I'm not blaming you for anything. It wasn't your fault." Ahsoka said.
Anakin looked at her and said.
"But it is my fault Ahsoka. We lost a lot of good men because of me. Because of my recklessness. It's what got Gears and many other good soldiers killed." Anakin said. He had never shown this much personality toward Ahsoka. But he just had to tell someone. He couldn't keep it in.
Ahsoka placed a hand on his shoulder. She then said,
"Master, you may be reckless, but you're the greatest Jedi I know. The best I've ever known. This war will take a lot of us. But I guess all we can do is keep fighting the good cause. Gears was a good friend. But just because he died under your command doesn't mean you were responsible for his death. Don't blame yourself for something that isn't your fault." Ahsoka finished her speech.
She had never spoken like this before. It was a new feeling. But she still couldn't push her mind off of that dream.
Anakin was put at ease by this. Though he was a little surprised to see Ahsoka talking like this. What changed? But he noticed something off about Ahsoka.
"Thanks Snips… But something else seems to be bothering you. What is it?" Anakin asked.
Ahsoka fell silent for a few moments. But then she broke the silence.
"Master, I had a dream or a vision. Whatever it was, it felt real, too real if you ask me." Ahsoka said.
Anakin was listening fully.
"Go on, Ahsoka." Anakin said.
Ahsoka sighed slightly.
"First, I'm on a beach. It was peaceful for a moment then a monster the size of a venator erupts out of a volcano. And that's just a start. I heard a groan. A few moments later, another monster bursts out of the water. That's when I saw it. It was larger than an Aqua Sando Monster. I didn't know what it was. But it was massive. And powerful too." Ahsoka stated her dream.
Anakin was a bit surprised. He had never heard of a creature the size of a venator. But he's heard of a few monsters bigger than the Aqua Sando Monster.
"That's surprising and shocking at the same time." Anakin said. "If you need to ease your mind, then once the mission is over, you should talk to Master Yoda. He seems to sense something. Something powerful." Anakin suggested. Ahsoka took note of that.
Anakin's comlink blinked and made a noise.
"This is General Skywalker." Anakin said through it.
"General, we're approaching the planet. We're preparing to drop out of hyperspace." Captain Rex said through the comlink.
"Copy that Rex, We'll meet you on the Bridge." Anakin said.
Anakin looked at Ahsoka. She perked up a bit after telling him about the dream.
"Alright Snips, let's get this mission on with." Anakin said.
"Yes master." Ahsoka said. They both got off the bed and went on their way to the bridge.
Once when they arrived, Yularen and Captain Rex were waiting for them.
"General Skywalker, We are in range of the planet's atmosphere." Yularen said.
And just like that, the ship dropped out of hyperspace.
Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex and a few other clone officers looked down on the beautiful blue planet. Vast oceans. Green lands. And clear skies.
The blue light that came off of the ocean reflected in Ahsoka's eyes.
"Beautiful." Ahsoka said. Some of the clone troopers stood up to look through the bridge to see the planet.
Anakin was also gazing down at the planet but that's not all he was seeing. He was sensing something. Something powerful. It was massive. A massive aruar down on the planet.
Then the 212th Attack Battalion led by Jedi Master Obi wan Kenobi jumped out of hyperspace. They had a number of 3 venators in their present fleet.
Obi wan and Commander Cody went to a shuttle to board the Resolute.
"General, is something wrong?" Commander Cody asked as they went on their way to the Resolute. Obi Wan had been bothered by a disturbance in the force. It was unnatural. But it wasn't the Darkside. Nor the Lightside. This was different.
"Something's coming. Something powerful. Unimaginable. Whatever it is. We'll find the answers on this planet." Obi Wan said.
Commander Cody knew the general well. Yet after all the past battles they had gone through, he had never seen the General like this before.
"I understand, General. Do you know what or who it is?" Cody asked.
"No. But whatever it is. It's close, very close." Obi wan said.
The LAAT gunship boarded the Resolute. It landed in the middle of the main hangar of the Resolute. The shuttle door opened as Obi Wan and Commander Cody walked out.
They made their way to the Bridge.
Once they got to the bridge Anakin, Ahsoka and Captain Rex were waiting for them at the Star Map.
"Well it seems the party started without us." Obi wan said. Commander Cody acknowledged that.
"Obi Wan, Windu said that you'd come." Anakin said.
"Now why would I miss out on this Anakin. Although, I'm sure you can feel it too?" Obi Wan said. Anakin had felt it. The power. It was unbelievable.
"Yes Obi Wan, I've felt it. Windu and Yoda have felt the same power." Anakin said. Ahsoka, Rex, and Commander Cody watched the two Generals talk. Ahsoka was a bit confused. She hadn't felt the power but she kept hearing growls and groans of some sort. She even had a dream. Or was it a vision?
"Sorry to interrupt Generals. But we got company. Seperatist Fleet dropping out of hyperspace." A clone officer said.
They all looked to the Bridge window and saw 5 Seperatist Dreadnoughts dropping out of hyperspace. The alarms went off in the Resolute.
"Men, Prepare for a full fledged attack. Get the Turrets ready to fire. Send out the squadrons." Anakin ordered. And with that said, the clone troopers got to their battle stations. Preparing for the Battle of Odysseia.
"Ahsoka, I want you to be commanding the landing team." Anakin said.
"What? Me? Master, are you sure I'm capable of leading a whole squad of troops?" Ahsoka asked, extremely surprised about her Master's request.
"You won't be leading a whole squad. You'll be leading the whole strike force." Anakin said.
"Oh, great. Just what I need." Ahsoka said sarcastically.
"Anakin, I'm not sure putting your padawan for commanding the landing team." Obi-Wan said.
"I think she can handle it. Right?" Anakin said as he looked at Ahsoka. Who didn't know what to say. Could she? It was a new experience for her and probably a good one.
And plus, she could see what was down on the planet too.
She breathed in.
"Alright, fine." Ahsoka said reluctantly.
Anakin nodded. Rex grabbed his helmet and grabbed his dual DC-17 blaster pistols.
Ahsoka and Rex along with Commander Cody went into the Resolute hanger. The fleet of LAAT gunships were starting to take off. Ahsoka, Rex, and Commander Cody embarked in one.
"Let's go." Ahsoka said.
"Yes Sir." The Clone Pilot said as the LAAT Gunship took off and out of the hanger. As soon as the Gunship left the hangar, they found themselves in a massive warzone.
Vulture Droids, Bomber Driods, and many other Fighter Class Droids swooped and spiraled into battle with the clone fleet.
The LAAT Gunship fleet made their way down to the planet. All the while dodging, flanking and avoiding Vulture Droids that swarmed the entirety of the Starfighter Battle.
Three Vulture Droids swirled down at the LAAT Gunships. Firing their torpedoes and blaster fire at them. The LAAT took evasive Maneuvers. Trying their best to avoid blaster fire.
Ahsoka got on the comlinks.
"Master, there are three Vulture Droids on us. Can you take care of them?" Ahsoka said on her comlink.
"I see them." Anakin said as he and Obi-wan were in there Jedi Fighters. Assisting the Clone Pilots in resisting the Seperatist Fleet.
"Hang on Ahsoka, We're on our way." Obi-wan Said as he and Anakin flew in to eliminate the Vulture Droids.
"All forces, protect those Gunships. If we lose them, we won't be able to land on the planet." Anakin said on the comms. And with that said, more of the Clone Z-95 starfighters flew in to assist in the landing of the Gunships.
Anakin fired his blasters at the Vulture Droids, destroying one of them. The other two noticed and pulled back behind them. Anakin was probably the best pilot in the Galactic Republic. So Vulture Droids stood no chance against The Jedi Knight.
Anakin did a roundabout and fired his torpedoes at The Vulture Droids. One torpedo hit a Vulture Droid whilst the other went for the Gunships.
"Obi-wan!" Anakin said on the comlink.
"Way Ahead of you!" Obi-Wan said as he fired his blasters at the remaining Vulture Droid, disabling it and sending it into a Dreadnought.
"Nice work, Obi-Wan." Anakin said.
"Alright, Ahsoka. You're in the clear. May The Force Be With You." Obi-Wan said as the Gunships made their way down to the Planet's surface. Preparing for a Ground Assault.
On The Leading Dreadnought…
"Agh! Jedi Scum!" General Grievous said. The Vulture Droids failed to deal with any of the Jedi's Gunships.
"Those Vulture Droids are useless when it comes to killing Jedi." Asajj Ventress said.
"Patience, my apprentices. I will deal with the Jedi's ground team myself." Count Dooku said.
"I want the Jedis head's!" Grievous said as he clenched his metallic fist.
"Ventress, Grievous, Monitor the Battle from here. I shall return with victory in our hands." Count Dooku said as he made his way off the Bridge, walking down to the Hanger.
"Yes, My Master." "Yes, My Lord." General Grievous and Asajj Ventress said as the Door slid shut.
Dreadnought Hanger…
"Prepare for a Ground Assault. We will take the planet from the bottom up." Count Dooku said as he entered the Separatist C-9979 Dropships prepared for departure.
The C-9979 released from the Dreadnoughts. Descending down into the planet. The shields were up to prevent severe damage on the ship's hull.
"Anakin, Look!" Obi-Wan said.
"They're sending down their ground units! All available units, focus your attacks on those Dropships, don't let them reach the Planet's surface!" Anakin said on the comlink.
"All Units, defend The C-9979 Dropships at all costs." Count Dooku said as the Vulture Droids and many other Droid Fighters swarmed around the Dropships, defending them.
The dropships were slow, but they could take a beating. They descended slowly to the Planet. At least four of the Dropships almost made it to the planet.
"I got you." Anakin said as he fired his torpedo at what he believed was a weak point in the shield. The torpedo hit the spot which was under the wing. Causing a massive explosion in the hull. Which exposed the shield generator.
"Gotcha!" Anakin said.
"Obi-Wan, I found a weak spot. Under the left wing, The shield Generator's exposed." Anakin said.
"Excellent job Anakin." Obi-Wan said as they both zoomed in to take down at least one of the Dropships.
They both fired their blasters at the shield generator, causing it to explode along with the shield dispersing.
"Yes!" Anakin said.
"Now, let's bring it down!" Obi-Wan said as he fired his torpedoes at the ship. Creating explosions.
"All units Attack the Damaged Dropship." Anakin said as the three other Z-95 Starfighters fired their blasters and torpedoes at the ship. Creating explosions and tearing the ship apart.
The left wing was blown off. It floated in the midst of space, but the gravity of the planet slowly dragged it down to the planet's atmosphere.
What was left of the ship, floated down to the planet. The heat of the atmosphere ignited part of the destroyed ship.
It reached the stratosphere of the planet. Now you could see the ocean and the islands that swarmed it. Part of the Dropship ripped in half as half of it crashed into an island, creating fire and throwing sand, debris and trees from the impact.
The other half landed in the ocean, causing a massive splash of water. The chunk of the ship slowly descended into the ocean floor.
Creatures of all sorts swam away from the ship. It was no longer on fire, but the heat of the ship continued to burn.
The LAAT Gunships landed on the beach. They needed to prepare for a ground assault.
The LAAT Doors opened as Clone Troopers swarmed the beach. Digging sand Trenches for cover. Some of the LAAT Gunships disembarked AT-RT walkers on the beach as well.
Ahsoka along with Captain Rex and Commander Cody, left their transport to help prepare for the Ground assault.
Rex's comlink blinked.
"Yes, General Skywalker," Rex said.
"Rex, There's three Separtatist Transports on their way down to the planet. We'll try to send back-up whenever we can." Anakin said on the comlink.
"Three!? General Skywalker, We don't have the firepower to hold off three Clanker Dropships." Commander Cody said.
"Like I said, We'll send Reinforcements whenever we can." Anakin said.
"Better hurry, they're already here." Ahsoka said as she looked up to the sky to see three of The Separatist Dropships descending into the planet's stratosphere.
"Alright, Boys get ready! This'll be the fight for our lives!" Rex said as he put his helmet on along with Commander Cody putting on his helmet.
The small trenches were dug. The Clones prepared for the Clanker Assault.
The AT-RT's got in their positions readying themselves for the upcoming battle.
Ahsoka heard the growl again. This time it was stronger, louder and clearly more powerful.
She looked out into the ocean. That was the direction it came from.
"Rex, Cody. I feel something. I can sense it." Ahsoka said. Cody and Rex looked to each other then back to her.
"What are you feeling, Commander?" Rex asked.
"I'm not sure. But it's on the planet. It's out there..." Ahsoka pointed out to the ocean.
"I don't like the sound of that." "I've got a bad feeling about this." "The droids are coming!" Were the murmurs of the Clone Troopers as they all got behind the Sand trenches.
Just across the Forest line was a massive army of Clankers marching in perfect sync.
B1 battle droids, Super Battle Droids, and Destroyers. Spider Droids and many more.
"That's a lot of clankers." Rex said. The droids marched down the beach towards them.
"Open fire!" Commander Cody said as the Clone Troopers opened fire at the Droid Army. The Droids fired back. Red and blue blaster bolts fired from each direction.
Missiles and Torpedoes fired from each side. Explosions and destruction were made on the beach.
Ahsoka Deflected the blaster bolts back at the droids, hitting a few of them. Many droids fell, whilst some of the clones were hit.
Captain Rex and Commander Cody fired their blasters at the Clankers. Hitting many of them.
Super Battle Droids fired arm cannons. It was a complete war. Magnum Guards came forward with their Magnum staff. And in the middle of them was Count Dooku.
"Commander, Count Dooku's out there!" Rex shouted as he took cover from a rocket that exploded in the sand.
"Master, Count Dooku's down here! I don't know how long we can hold this position." Ahsoka said on her comlink.
"What, Dooku's down there? Ahsoka do not engage him, that's an order!" Anakin said on the comlink.
"I may not have a choice, Master." Ahsoka said. The droid army advanced forward, further and further up. Many of the droids fell in battle but never stopped advancing.
"We're being overrunned!" "Commander, what do we do!?" "There's too many of them!" Those were all of the voices of the clone troopers battling the Droids.
Ahsoka closed her eyes. She hoped it would never come to this. She was a fool to think she could lead the clones into battle. This was on her. She may not be able to fix her leadership, but she can save them. She would have to confront Dooku himself.
Without a word Ahsoka leaped over the Trench into the line of fire for the droids.
"COMMANDER!" Rex shouted, as he wanted to go after her but he would only get hit by the battle Droids.
Ahsoka deflected the blaster bolts that came at her. Leaping in the air and deflecting the bolts back. She got into the crowd of droids and started to cut them down.
The Super Battle Droids fired at her only for their blaster arms to be cut clean off. Ahsoka Forced pushed them back causing the majority of the Droids to fall on each other or flail in the air.
Meanwhile, Dooku was in the middle of his Magnum Guard Circle.
"Skywalker's Padawan." Count Dooku whispered.
The clones watched Ahsoka take out the battle droids, group by group.
They were diverting their attention to her.
Commander Cody and Captain Rex looked at each other. Rex nodded. So did Cody.
"BLAST 'EM!" Cody shouted as he charged forward over the trench with Rex not far behind. The rest of the Clones followed after. Charging forward at the crowd of Battle Droids.
Commander Cody and Captain Rex were faster than most of the clones. They ran extremely fast. Cody punched a battle droid in the face, snapping its head off. Rex fired his dual DC-17 blasters at the battle droids in close quarters. He was, after all, an ARC Trooper.
Ahsoka was getting tired but she kept fighting. They were so close to victory. She swung her lightsaber diagonally at three battle droids, cutting all three of them. One lost its legs, one was cut in half, the other was decapitated.
Destroyers surrounded Ahsoka. They had their shields up. There was no way she could deflect all of them from every direction.
The first one fired, then the second. She quickly deflected the blaster bolts she could. Sending them back at the Destroyers, only for their shields to take minimal damage.
A thermal detonator was thrown down into a Destroyer's Shield. It blinked a few times until it blew up, destroying the Droid and the two others beside it.
Rex had thrown it at the Clankers. Which helped Ahsoka a lot.
"Thanks, Rex." Ahsoka said as she breathed heavily from exhaustion.
"Don't thank me yet, Commander. We still got a battle to win." Rex said. Ahsoka gave an exhausted smile.
"Yeah, you're telling me." She said then quickly went back into the battle.
It would seem the Republic was pushing the Separatists back. The clones were winning. That is until Dooku finally had enough.
"I'll deal with this myself." Count Dooku said as he used the force to grab his lightsaber. He took off his cloak as it fell in the sand.
His lightsaber ignited.
His Magnum Guards followed behind him.
"Deal with the clones, I will deal with the padawan." Count Dooku said.
The battle continued between the Droids and the Clones. The first wave of Droids seemed to be falling. Ahsoka slashed a battle Droid in pieces.
The droids were retreating now. Or at least the first wave.
"Yeah, take that CLANKERS!" "We got 'em!" were just the few battle cries from the clones.
Ahsoka was beyond exhausted. Plus the lack of sleep was starting to get to her. Along with the soreness of the battle.
Her lightsaber turned off. She sat down in the sand with one knee sitting up, her right arm hanging on it.
"Well done, Commander. Reinforcements should be here soon." Cody said.
"That was just the first wave. Dooku's on his way. I'm no match for him. Not alone." Ahsoka said, she needed to keep fighting. Her exhaustion almost took her but Rex, Cody and the clones were depending on her.
"Take it easy, Commander. You're in worse shape than us, take a few minutes of rest to get your strength back. Or until The Generals get down here." Rex said as he helped Ahsoka up on her feet.
"Wonder how they're doing up there?" Cody asked.
Meanwhile in a Deep Ocean Cave….
The piece of the C-9979 had made it to the bottom, creating a small tremor under the water. That tremor however, had signaled something slumbering in a dark cave.
He had been resting for a few years now. But, the Planet was in danger. There was war between mortals on the surface of the planet.
The creature had white tip plates with a dark black skin. It's tail was long.
It growled. Just like the growl that Ahsoka had been hearing.
It's eyes opened, revealing an amber orange color. HE had awakened.
Back on the surface of the planet…
The droids had marched back on the beach. With Count Dooku leading them.
The remaining Clones looked on at the army that marched on the beach.
Ahsoka stood up. She grabbed her lightsaber, and ignited it. She held it in reverse grip.
She eyed Dooku. Who eyed her back.
The clones were ready for the Droids.
"FOR THE REPUBLIC!" The Clones shouted as they charged forward at the Droids.
Most of the droids were Commando Droids with swords on their backs. They were fast, and agile.
Dooku pointed his lightsaber at the Clones, giving the Droids the order to charge forward.
The droids charged forward, most of them ran faster than the others. Dooku casually walked into the battle as the droids ran past him.
Ahsoka was ahead of the charge of the Clones.
Many of the clone troopers had Shock Batons which were perfect for battling Clankers in close combat.
The droids and Clones clashed as they each traded blows. The Commando Droids sheathed their swords and swung at the Clones, whilst the Clones used their Shock Batons to attack the droids.
Rex shot at the Droids in the face causing their bodies to go limp. Cody punched one in the face then strangled another by wrapping his arms around his neck. He tore off the head and threw it at another droid.
Ahsoka slashed a few droids in pieces. She force pushed many more, creating a gust of wind and sending the droids flying back.
The battle grew more intense, as more clones fell in battle. Some of the Clones switched to their blasters and shot the droids in close quarters.
There seemed to be no end to the Battle droids. Dooku had made his way into the heart of the battle. Killing Clones as he advanced towards Ahsoka.
A clone shot his blaster rifle at him, only for Dooku to use the force to choke him, lifting him off the ground and throwing him into another clone.
Another Clone was brave enough to go into close combat with the Sith Lord, only for him to be cut down by Dooku.
Ahsoka continued to slice the droids in pieces, not stopping whatsoever. She threw her lightsaber at a Super Battle Droid. It pierced through its body. Ahsoka ran forward and grabbed her Lightsaber moving upwards, cutting the Super Battle Droid in half.
She landed on her feet. That was when she sensed him. He was coming up right behind her. She turned her head slightly to see Dooku slowly advancing towards her.
She turned her body fully. The piles of bodies were starting to form. Not very many clones were left. The Droids kept advancing.
Rex and Cody were holding their own, keeping the droids occupied. There were only 10 including Rex and Cody, Clones left in the battle. And they didn't even finish the second Wave of Droids.
Ahsoka stared at Dooku.
"Count Dooku," Ahsoka said as she readied herself for the worst.
"Skywalker's Padawan." Count Dooku said as he pointed his lightsaber at her.
There was silence between the two. Ahsoka spreaded out her feet. Her grasp on her lightsaber tightened. Her feet tensed.
A sweat dropped from her face. It slowly descended down her cheek. Then reaching her chin, stopping for a few seconds. Then falling down to the sand.
The direct moment it hit the sand, Ahsoka charged forward towards Count Dooku.
Her lightsaber was held in reverse grip, running as fast as she could, preparing for….who knows what'll happen. She leaped up just till she was the same level as Dooku and swung her lightsaber at his neck. Dooku parried the attack, causing Ahsoka to be forced back and stagger on her feet.
She went in for another swing, yet it was blocked easily by a Sith Lord such as Count Dooku. She tried to swing again this time on the opposite side of his waist. Only for her to be met with Force Lightning, sending her back and electricity coursing through her body. She was sent back a few yards.
She fell on her back, grunting at the pain. She attempted to get back on her feet, only for Dooku to Force Choke her, levitating her in the air. Ahsoka clenched her throat.
"Such a pity, I was expecting more from the apprentice of Skywalker." Count Dooku mocked Ahsoka. She didn't care about the insult, she just needed to release herself from Dooku's grip.
She quickly Force Pushed Dooku back, causing him to release his grip from throat. Ahsoka landed on her feet and wasted no time. She rushed at Dooku, then leaped towards him and swung her lightsaber at his neck again. Dooku blocked the attack, only to be met with yet another slash at his waist, Dooku blocked the attacks as best as he could. She may not be the strongest opponent he's faced, but she surely was the most persistent and quickest.
Dooku swung his lightsaber at her head but she ducked, dodging the attack. She twirled around and kicked him in the gut, causing him to stagger. Ahsoka then swung again. Dooku parried the attacks. Ahsoka didn't stop with her attacks. Ignoring her exhaustion and continuing to battle The Sith Lord.
Dooku wasn't going all out but his patience was running thin with this child. Ahsoka leaped over Dooku and landed behind him, then quickly Force Pushed sand in his face. Dooku covered his eyes from the sand. Dust screened the small area. Ahsoka powered off her lightsaber, hiding in the dust. Dooku looked around for his opponent.
A green lightsaber ignited and swung at him from behind only for it to be quickly parried.
"Not a bad fighting style. A strategic tactic." Dooku said, he was having a bit of trouble with the child. But he was far from going all out.
Her lightsaber activated again and swung at his neck, Dooku quickly parried the attack, only for the lightsaber to disappear.
Dooku finally finished messing about, and Force Pushed the entire area. Clearing the dust around him, and hitting Ahsoka forcing her back.
She was sent back at least forty yards. She hit the sand, skidding on the surface of it. Dooku casually walked towards her.
Ahsoka was pinned down, and the Clones were falling. Rex and Cody were still alive, thank the force. But so many other good soldiers had died because of her and more would because she failed to stop Dooku. Her master would be coming soon. And Dooku would get what's coming to him.
"Very well fought, Padawan, but not enough to match the level of a Sith Lord." Count Dooku said as he raised his lightsaber in the air ready to finish her off.
This was it….this is how she would die. Dooku was about to swing down until he felt something….It was powerful, massive, and unimaginably strong. And it was coming right for them.
Dooku hesitated. And Ahsoka felt it too. It was coming from the ocean. And closing in fast.
There was a quiet silence. Count Dooku's face went immediately from triumph to dread.
SSSSSPPPPLLLLLLAAAAASSSSHHHH
A huge burst of water erupted from the ocean. Dooku turned around to see the massive burst of water. The clones and even the droids stopped battling. Staring in awe at the massive geyser of water. But it wasn't a geyser….
As the water descended back into the ocean, a figure was seen. Standing at least ninety meters tall. It had dark black skin that looked rough but felt smooth. It had white tip plates that ran all the way down its back to its long tail.
Its eyes opened slowly, revealing a fiery amber orange glow.
It roared loudly.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
(Millennium Godzilla Roar)
This was the King of The Monsters. This was Godzilla.
Dooku starred in utter horror. This was the monstrosity that he had been feeling.
Godzilla looked down at the battle. The beach was decimated. But he would take care of the bringers of this destruction on his home.
Godzilla walked his way on the beach. It wasn't very quick but it was making the entire ground quake with each step he took. The clones rushed for safety whilst the Droids…
"OPEN FIRE!" The Droids shouted as the AATs and every droid in the area opened fire on the massive Monster. Yet the blaster fire layed not even a scratch on the beast. All Godzilla did was keep walking seemingly unfazed by the firepower of the droids and their weaponry.
All it did was start to irritate him. Godzilla swiped his tail down on the beach, creating a shockwave and sending Dooku into the forest line. Whilst Ahsoka was sent just a few yards and out of harm's way.
Godzilla roared again. (Millennium Roar). And stared down at the metallic droids that continuously and annoyingly fired their useless weapons at him. He thinks useless but he's pretty much impenetrable to the Blaster fire.
Godzilla kicked a few AATs across the beach and sent them into the forest, exploding after a short moment of silence.
The droids continued to fire everything their weapons could muster. Vulture Droids flew down to attack Godzilla. Firing at his face and head. Only to continue to irritate him.
There were at least five Vulture Droids and maybe twenty AATs firing at the massive Titan.
(A/N: Take note this is Heisei Godzilla, not Legendary Godzilla or Millennium Godzilla.)
A Vulture Droid swooped in to attack Godzilla head-on. Only for Godzilla to grab it midair and crush it in his massive hand.
The blaster fire never ceased to end. All it did was continue to annoy Godzilla.
"We need air support! I REPEAT WE NEED AIR SUPPORT!" A droid commanded on his comlink.
More Vulture Droids descended down into the battle. Godzilla continued to smash and thrash AATs and Droids about. The Vulture Droids fired their Torpedoes and hit Godzilla dead in the face. Whilst the droids and the AATs targeted his face as well. Godzilla's face was overtaken with a massive explosion and smoke covered his face.
The droids ceased fire. Thinking they had won and decapitated the monster.
How wrong they were.
A blue light blinked from Godzilla's back. It blinked once, then twice, then three times. The smoke disappeared from and showed a ticked-off Godzilla as his eyes were blue. And his mouth had a blue light emitting from it.
It all seemed slow.
BAAAAAAZZZZZZZAAARRAAAAAAAA
A massive blue beam of wavy energy fired from Godzilla's mouth. Consuming the Droids and the AATs. Lighting the entire Forest on fire and destroying everything in the line of fire.
Godzilla then fired it at the Vulture Droids, destroying them on impact. Godzilla continued to fire his Atomic Breath as it was a continuous stream of wavy energy. The forest was set ablaze with blue fire.
"RETREAT! RETREAT!" A Droid Commander shouted as the remaining droids retreated back to the C-9979 Dropships. The ships were taking off as all three of them were returning to the Dreadnoughts. Dooku was not on board. He had been left behind. Even though that was his greatest mistake. Because it saved his life.
Godzilla watched the three ships leave the area. He snarled slightly.
His back blinked a few times, then his mouth glowed blue.
Instead of a stream of energy, as you would expect, it was a single blue fireball as it hit the left wing of the top ship. An explosion was created as the left-wing fell off and the ship fell onto the middle ship, which created yet another explosion. Then fell onto the bottom ship creating another explosion. Then all three of them, on top of each other, descended to the ground. With fire all over the ships and droids being destroyed.
The three ships fell down on the ground and exploded after a short moment. The explosion was massive as it consumed the air.
Godzilla roared in victory as his enemy was defeated. He slowly made his way back to the ocean. Each step made the ground quake.
That was when he sensed something. It was calm, remote, and almost relieving. Godzilla stopped just as soon as he was about to place his foot onto the ocean. He looked behind him to see ten other humanoid beings.
There were ones with white armor, all their energies felt the same. However one of them stood out. And she was a female, the rest were male. And she looked to be a Togruta. She had a very calming green and white aura around her. It was calming and collected.
Ahsoka's POV
As soon as the monster looked in their direction, the remaining clones aimed their weapons at the monster.
"Hold your fire," Ahsoka said.
"Commander, you can't be serious?" Commander Cody asked.
"If we attack it we're dead. Just lower your weapons, please." Ahsoka said.
"Yes sir," Cody said reluctantly as the clones lowered their weapons. Ahsoka shifted her attention back to the monster. It almost felt as if he was looking directly at her. They seemed to lock each other with their eyes.
Her Hazel Blue eyes stared into his Fiery Amber eyes. The Monster seemed to tilt his head slightly, as in curiosity. He seemed interested in her.
After a short silence of locked eyes, the Monster took his gaze off her and continued to pursue back into the ocean.
Ahsoka let out a breath of relief. The monster had spared them. And they were lucky.
"Rex, please tell me you recorded that…" Ahsoka asked. Rex looked at her, he was half beaten up and his armor was cracked a bit. So was Cody's, but Rex had it more rough.
He then pressed a button on his visor.
"I got all of it, Commander," Rex said as the clones were left in the destroyed battlefield.
Dooku's POV
Count Dooku had witnessed the power of the monster. He was right to sense something this powerful. It was beyond any imagination. The creature was powerful, too powerful to exist. But he had a mission to complete.
Luckily there was a Viranium Crystal laying on a tree. Dooku ignited his lightsaber and cut a small piece of it off. It took about thirty seconds before the piece broke off. He grabbed it and headed to his Ship.
Once he was in, he powered it on and left the planet. But taking the Viranium off the planet was a tragedy that would never be made again. As soon as the Viranium Crystal left the atmosphere. An invisible shield was created. Keeping any form of Viranium to leave the planet. But it wasn't until after Dooku had left the planet's atmosphere.
The starfighter battle continued. One of the Dreadnoughts was destroyed. And a Republic cruiser was disabled.
"Master, what is the news on the Ground Assault?" Grievous asked on a Transmission.
"Prepare to jump to LightSpeed. We are retreating, now." Dooku said as he zoomed through the space battle.
"All ships prepare to jump to LightSpeed," Grievous said over the comms.
The Dreadnoughts started to repel the attacks of the Republic.
"General Skywalker, The Separatist Fleet is in full Retreat," Yularen said on the comms.
"Well, looks like Snips was able to pull it off after all," Anakin said to Obi-wan on the comms.
"Perhaps I shouldn't have doubted her," Obi-Wan said back on the comms. The Vulture Droids started to slowly drive off. Heading back to their ships and preparing for lightspeed.
Dooku managed to get back on the Dreadnought, just before it jumped to hyperspace. The Dreadnoughts disappeared. The Battle of Odyessia had been won.
"Alright, let's get the ground team out of there," Anakin said.
"That much we agree on," Obi-Wan said. They both returned to the hangar's and prepared for the dropships to pick up the Ground Team.
Down on the Planet's surface…
Ahsoka rested on the sand. She was beyond exhausted. Lack of sleep, battling an entire army of Droids, and then fighting a Sith Lord. She needed rest and sleep, badly.
But the monster that saved her life. Was it the creature she had been hearing? Was it the powerful disturbance in the force that Master Yoda, Master Windu, Master Kenobi, and Anakin had been sensing? If so, why couldn't she sense it? Only until that very moment when it revealed itself.
The rest of the Clones were Salvaging their equipment from the battlefield. Only so the Republic wouldn't have to lose all their weaponry. Even though Salvage teams would be recovering the equipment, soon enough.
LAATs started to descend onto the beach. Medical droids ran for the injured Clones. Anakin and Obi-Wan stepped down from the LAAT. Anakin was the first to get to Ahsoka, whilst a Medical Droid was behind him.
"Ahsoka, are you alright? What happened?" Anakin asked Ahsoka. Ahsoka didn't know where to start.
The Medical droid ran a quick scan on her body to check for any internal injuries. She had a minor concussion. It wasn't lethal nor would it have much effect on her body. She had a few bruises, and her muscles were sore. But nothing she hadn't had before.
"General Skywalker, She has a minor concussion, it is not lethal and will only need a quick vocal spray. And will heal within a matter of a few hours." The Medical Droid said. Anakin let out a sigh of relief.
Rex and Cody made their way to Anakin and Obi-Wan.
"Cody, you've seen better days." Obi Wan said as he came to assist Cody.
"General, remember that stuff you said you were sensing?" Cody asked.
"I recall, What do you mean? What exactly happened here?" Obi Wan asked as he put Cody's arm over his neck and helped him get to the medical Droid.
"It's easier showed than said, General." Rex said as he was helped by Anakin.
Anakin helped Rex sit down on a storage box. The Medical Droid removed his helmet. There were a few bruises on his face. His eye was black too, but not major.
The Medical droid ran a quick scan. No internal damage, apart from a few bruises and sore muscles. Very similar to Ahsoka.
"No internal damage, you will be back in fighting condition in just a few days." The Medical Droid said.
"Is this all that's left? From the entire battalion?" Anakin asked Rex.
"Like I said, General, You wouldn't believe it but….There was this creature that came out of the water. It burned all the clankers. None of them left the planet. But no sign of Count Dooku." Rex said with a bit of exhaustion in his tone.
"Creature from the water? It couldn't be a Sando Aqua Monster, they don't go on land. Could you describe the creature, Captain." Obi Wan asked.
Rex looked at him then placed down a recorder. Then it displayed the recording of the Monster that destroyed all the Droids. Obi Wan and Anakin looked in awe, then to each other.
"We must tell the council about this. This might be the disturbance we've been sensing." Obi-Wan said.
"Master, I'm not sure if this is true or if it was just my imagination, but it felt like it was looking right at me, into my eyes." Ahsoka said as she looked at Anakin.
"What? That creature looked at you...Where is it?" Anakin asked.
Cody pointed out to the ocean.
"It went back into the ocean, no activity from it since," Cody said as the Medical droid sprayed his head with Vocal Spray. To heal the minor concussion he also had.
Anakin let out a sigh. It was time they headed back to Coruscant and inform the Council and maybe the Senate about this creature along with its immense power.
"Come along, We'll speak of this to the Council, And perhaps the Senate." Obi-Wan Kenobi said as he helped Cody get to the LAAT Dropship.
The Medical Droid helped Rex and Anakin helped Ahsoka.
This was just the beginning. For that very moment, when Godzilla locked eyes with Ahsoka Tano, was merely the dawn of a brand new War.
