The scene plays out as a children's fairytale. Showing the art concept of A father and his daughter. They were searching for berries for their mother, who was hard at work. The narrator is a male voice as he narrates the story.

"Long ago, a young girl went with her Father to pick berries for her mother, who was hard at work." The Male voice narrates the story. The young girl looks at a dead bush, searching for berries, but none were seen in sight.

"But the forest greeted them with a dark, cold silence, the bushes empty." The young girl pointed out to the dark forest and broke free from her father's grasp, who was trying to protect her.

"Yet, determined to find the berries, the rascal broke free from Father's grasp and vanished into the trees." The girl ran into the deep woods as she ran on a vine that stretched out far and wide.

"Father's worried cries faded fast as the girl ran on; over vine, and under branch and into the forest deep". The narrator's voice continued.

"Feeling strange eyes upon her, the girl recalled Father's scary bedtime tales and her throat became bone dry." The girl stopped where she was. She was thirsty, her throat became dry, very dry. She looked around for something to drink. In the background three bats flutter around as they fly past the girl. One of them flew around the girl in a circle, surprising the young girl.

"Then the Bat Lord appeared! He greeted her warmly and bit his own wing." A large bat with calming features appeared. He bit his own wing and said.

""Come, child. Quench your thirst," he said." The yellow blood flowed down his wing as the young girl cupped her hands as the blood fell in her hands.

"So she drank the thick, dark blood and smiled with joy."

"Passing through a graveyard, menacing storm clouds loomed and the air turned bitingly cold."

"The girl was shivering in her thin clothes."

"Then a Dark Weaver appeared, and with a click of his fingers, crafted mist into a beautiful dress." The male narrator's voice continued.

""Come, child, warm yourself," he coaxed.

So she clothed herself and smiled with joy.

Across waters deep and ominous she went, hoping a boat she found would carry her home.

But hunger's grip tightened and her heart grew heavy.

Then the Fish King appeared and offered one of his many fins.

"Come, child. Eat your fill."

So the girl ate and smiled with joy once more.

"Continuing on, she soon entered the forest's, dark heart." The background shows what appears to be metallic structures as the scene plays out.

Then an Iron Steed appeared, bearing a beautiful, golden gear.

"The creature said nothing as the girl approached…." The girl petted the stead on the snout as she brushed her hand on its head.

"…and snatched what she thought was another gift" The young girl grabbed the gear as she held it with a smile. The gear formed a necklace around the girl's neck.

"The horse grew angry and summoned the other monsters." The Iron Stead snorted and kneaded as hair huffed out of its nostrils. The other monsters appeared with the Bat Lord, Dark Weaver, And The Fish King all circled the little girl.

"Terror filled the girl's heart as a wild wind rose about the beasts.

"Suddenly, a witch appeared – dark, yet regal." The witch appeared from the smoke. She was tall and had tentacles on her lower body.

The scene changes as the scene fades out. The screen is black for 2 seconds as it reappears with a Man holding a child while reading the book to her.

Sitting down on the floor next to the couch was a woman. She had white hair that went down the side of her neck and beautiful blue eyes. She wore a brownish jacket with a white tank top underneath. She had blue jeans and short boots.

The young man had brown hair. He had green eyes instead of blue. He had facial hair that went from his chin to the sides of his head. He wore a flannel shirt with jeans on too. His flannel shirt was rather clean.

He read the story to his daughter. Who's name was Rose. Rosemary Winters. She had pale skin with light brown hair and blue eyes from her mother. The brown hair was from her father.

"Gifts we gave, but more you took," she snarled." The father read to Rose.

"So more, in turn, is due," In a blink, the girl was trapped inside a mirror." The man said as Rose fell asleep.

"There….She's asleep." The man said as he looked at his daughter and stopped reading.

"What is with the story, Mason? She's only six months old." Ellie said with a bit of concern but calm. Their daughter had been born not long ago, the pregnancy almost failed, Rose could've died, and Ellie would have died in just a few months. But For some strange reason, that didn't happen. She was able to make it out alive and healthy. This confused the doctors, but they were glad that they both survived. Especially Mason. Who had been worried to death about his wife and newborn daughter.

"The woman at the store said it was traditional," Mason said as he handed her the book. The title showed "Village of Shadows." Ellie looked at it as she held it with both hands, examining it.

"A local tale," Mason continued.

She put it down on the couch as Mason continued to speak.

"Besides...Rose doesn't seem to mind," Mason said.

"Because she doesn't understand it, thank goodness," Ellie said. She was concerned for Rose more than anything. Especially because Ellie didn't want Rose to live through what happened in Louisiana. The Baker House. A nightmare that was. But it's been taken care of now. So there's no need to worry about it anymore. At least…..For the time being.

"We moved here so we wouldn't have to deal with any of that, remember?" Ellie said calmly.

"There's nothing wrong with my memory," Mason said a bit harshly, which surprised Ellie. But Mason's fury faded quickly as his face turned into a smile.

"You're just being paranoid," Mason said.

"It's not…..Nevermind, I'm sorry." Ellie said as she put it aside, Mason didn't want to remember.

"But I'm not paranoid; I'm just cautious," Ellie said.

"Well, go cautiously take your daughter to bed." Mason teased his wife. They both got up from sitting. Mason gently put Rose in Ellie's arms.

"I'll finish dinner," Mason said as he walked away into the kitchen. His wife stood there looking on as her husband walked into the kitchen.

"It's ok, Rose. Your Father doesn't want to remember." She whispered to Rose, who was sound asleep.

"I can't blame him." She continued as she looked back up towards the kitchen.

She then started to walk to the hallway where the stairs met.

"Did you say something?" Mason said from the kitchen.

"Nothing, I'll put her down," Ellie said as she continued her way back to the stairs. She got up the stairs a little further, until Rose started to whine a bit in her sleep.

Ellie stopped. She gently patted Rose's stomach.

"There, there. Like I said to your father. That book's too scary for you." She said as she continued on her way once Rose stopped whining.

She got up to the second floor and walked to the bedroom.

"Almost there, sweety," Ellie said as she continued to walk towards the bedroom. When she opened the door, there was her and Mason's bed. Then not far from there was Rose's crib. With many toys laying all over the floor.

"We gotta clean up after ourselves, don't we honey?" Ellie teased, but Rose was fast asleep and not waking up. Ellie didn't want her to wake up. Rose needed to sleep.

She walked over to a chair that had Rose's plush monkey. She picked up the plush monkey and made some monkey noises to Rose.

She put the monkey with Rose as she put her daughter in Rose's crib.

"There you go, sweetheart. Don't you worry, I'll be right downstairs. Mommy won't let those weird fairytale creatures get you." Ellie said to her daughter as she got comfy in her crib.

After that Ellie went back downstairs. She walked back down the stairs. But she suddenly had a Flashback.

Baker House…..3 years ago….

"Mason….Mason, Oh my God! Is that you!?" Ellie shouted as tried to wake Mason up. Who was laying in a bed. His skin was pale. Paler than usual.

She turned him over gently. He was tired.

"Mason...Mason. Are you alright?" Ellie asked Mason. Mason groaned a bit from the tiredness and exhaustion.

"Ellie….Ellie What are you doing here!?" Mason asked. He panicked a bit. His own wife is in terrible danger.

Before Mason could say anything else. Ellie pulled Mason in for a kiss. She gently brushed her lips against his but he didn't seem to do it back.

Ellie pulled back.

"I'm here to take you home." Ellie said. Mason started to panic a bit.

"Y- You shouldn't be here. Ho- How….How'd you find me?!" Mason asked, starting to panic more.

"You sent me an Email. About a few weeks ago." Ellie said. Trying to calm him down.

"I-I-I did? No that wasn't me, Ellie...Listen to me…." Mason stopped in the middle of his sentence. He clenched his hair with both of his hands.

"Ellie….You need to get as far away from here as you can!" Mason warned Ellie.

"Mason, what are you talking about? I came here to get you out, so that's what I'm going to do." Ellie said as she tried to help him up.

Mason didn't want her to help. She had no idea what he had become.

"Ellie...Follow me….I may know a way for you to get out." Mason said.

"What do you mean Mason?" Ellie asked. Mason wasn't acting like himself right now.

"Just follow me Ellie, I'll tell you everything I can remember." Mason said as he pushed through a wooden sheet. He had to squeeze through the small gap. Ellie followed not far behind him.

"Mason, you need to tell me what's going on. You've been missing for 3 years. What the hell have you been doing?" Ellie asked. It was true he had been missing for 3 years.

"Th-three years? H-h-has it really been that long?" Mason confessed. He must've lost track of time or something.

They got to a room that had a couch and a lamp that was on.

Mason started to panic.

"The door! It's Gone! It's GONE" Mason panicked. He limped over to the couch and sat down.

Ellie was worried for him. What the hell was happening?

"Mason, I'll look around. You stay here. I'll be right back." Ellie said to ease Mason's stress. He didn't say anything back. Ellie went to another room that connected to the small lounge. It had shelves stacked in neat rows. She looked around for a door so that they could get out.

"No LEAVE ME ALONE! AAAAGH!" Mason's voice shouted out as a loud noise was made. The sound of a wall being busted open. Ellie was startled by this. She jumped as she turned around very quickly.

Mason was gone. Where did he go?

"Mason?" Ellie said aloud. She walked back around the steel shelves and went into the lounge room. But Mason was gone and there was a massive hole on the wall which led to the stairs.

"Mason. Mason...Where are you?" Ellie said aloud trying to see if he would respond. But there was nothing.

Ellie walked through the massive hole and walked back up the stairs. No sign of Mason. She was on the second floor. But now she had to find a way back downstairs and get the hell out of here. She walked to the bathroom. There was a first aid bottle on the sink. Odd. She's never seen a first aid bottle like that. But she took it and carried it with her. She heard a loud thud noise downstairs. Ellie went to go and check it out.

"Mason?" Ellie said aloud as she looked down the stairs in pitch darkness. She could hear a hissing noise. She cautiously walked down the stairs. A barely visible man was on the stairs. He was on the floor. His face wasn't visible. The lights dimmed. They went out until Ellie couldn't see anything. Then the man was right in front of her face. It was pale and swollen with a discolored yellow. His face had an evil grimace. His breath labored heavily. He grabbed her by the throat and threw her effortlessly upstairs as she rammed into a wall. Ellie grunted as she tried to get up. She got on her feet only to see the man in front of her. What shocked her the most was that he resembled exactly like Mason. Was he Mason!?

He grabbed her by the arm as he held up a knife in his right hand. He tossed her aside as she fell to the ground. She struggled to get back on her feet but it was difficult.

"Mason. Wait. WAIT!" Ellie shouted but Mason just ran at her and tried to stab her. Ellie put her arms up to stop the knife from stabbing her in the face. They got into a struggle. Mason tried to take another stab at her but she kept her arms up and stopped the blade from skewering her in the face. But it made a small cut on her left hand.

Mason then grabbed her by the throat and threw her back a bit. He then tried to stab her again but Ellie put her left hand up. The blade stabbed straight through her hand. She bore the pain. She screamed loudly only for the man to laugh at her screaming.

He pulled the knife back out and tried to stab her again, she put both her arms up but instead of getting stabbed at once she was stabbed multiple times. He continuously stabbed her on the arms but the blade never seemed to go straight through her arms.

Mason reeled back his knife again and tried to stab Ellie again, this time at her shoulder. Ellie caught the knife with both of her hands but the blade cutted her hands.

Ellie used every ounce of her strength to hold the blade where it was. Mason was struggling himself as his face started to bleed as the blood streamed down his face.

After what felt like hours of struggling Mason gave out as the blade stabbed Ellie's shoulder but it didn't do it too bad.

It nicked her shoulder but it still hurt. She looked at her hands that were hurting immensely. She fell on her knees. But she knew that Mason was probably going to kill her.

But he stood there. Panicking. He had a scared face.

"I-I can feel him clawing his way back inside of me!" Mason said. He clenched his hair in stress.

He then banged his head on the wooden wall.

"GET OUT!" He shouted. He hit his head again this time harder.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Mason continued to shout.

"I've been bad…..I deserve this." Mason said as he hit his head on the wooden wall again this time knocking him out. He fell backwards on his back.

Ellie was so shocked by what just happened. First, she finds her husband locked up in a cell. Then he tries to kill her. Now he just knocked himself out babbling about someone inside of him.

What the hell was happening?

She got on her feet and used the first aid kit as she splashed it all over her left arm. Then her right arm. The pain was unimaginable. It stung and hurt. What the hell is in this stuff?! She then splashed it on her shoulder. It stung even more.

She looked back at Mason.

"What the fuck happened to you, Mason?" Ellie asked.

Flashback ends….

Ellie put her hand on her forehead. The damn flashbacks. They've been happening recently and becoming more frequent. Why were they coming to her now?

Ellie continued her way back down the stairs. She walked down the hallway about to enter the kitchen. She opened the door to see Mason making a type of soup. He brought the container of soup to the middle counter.

"How is she?" Mason asked.

"Sleeping well uhh….Well like a baby." Ellie said to Mason.

"Ooh, that smells good, what's that?" Ellie asked as she was about to dip her hand in the soup.

"Oh hands-off miss," Mason said as he used the spoon to put Ellie's hands back.

"It's ciorbe de legume, It's a local recipe," Mason said as he smelled it if it was done.

"Wow, you've gone full native haven't you," Ellie said. As she grabbed some wine cups.

"Local wine too," Mason said as he grabbed the wine bottle and brought it to the table.

"But if you're going to keep sulking all evening. Maybe you shouldn't have any." Mason teased Ellie.

Ellie sat down at a chair while Mason poured both the wine bottles with wine.

"You really have to stop worrying," Mason said.

"It's just, Finding you in Louisiana, The Pregnancy, Military training, it all happened so fast, you know." Ellie explained why she was in this mood.

"Well at least we're all together. You, Me, Rose. Now everything's going to be-" Mason was cut by Ellie.

"Do you really think we could just forget about what happened in Louisiana?" Ellie asked. They couldn't forget, it was merely impossible to forget. Jack Baker, his wife and his "son", even Eveline. All were twisted and evil. How could they forget about them, when Ellie was having nightmares and flashbacks of the events every few hours.

"It happened so long ago-I just don't understand why you are so-" Mason was cut off when a blood mark formed from his shoulder. It looked like he got shot. But he was still standing. He looked at his shoulder, a bit surprised and confused.

"Wha-" Ellie said. She looked to the Window where the shot came from. That was when she knew they were under attack.

"Mason get DOWN!" Ellie shouted. The lights went out. Mason looked up a bit confused. Just then he was getting shot at from blind spots.

"MASON" Ellie shouted as she got down behind the table. Her husband was continuously shot. He stood up for a few moments but he was knocked off his feet.

Ellie looked at Mason.

"Mason….Oh god." Ellie said. Just then she saw two pairs of feet.

The table was moved to the side revealing Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. Jill was wearing her blue tank top. She held an Assault Rifle with a silencer on it. Chris Redfield was in a black jacket. He held a suppressed pistol.

"Chris! Jill! What the HELL!?" Ellie yelled.

"Sorry, Ellie." Was all Chris Redfield said. He aimed his pistol at Mason who was on the ground barely conscious.

"NO!" Ellie shouted as she put her arm towards Mason. He was then shot repeatedly by Chris. Jill kept a straight face.

"What? Why?" Ellie asked. In the background, some of the windows broke. Then came two policemen in BSAA uniforms with black masks on their faces. They aimed their guns at Ellie.

She looked both ways as the Soldiers inched closer to her. She then looked back at Chris and Jill who stood motionless at Ellie.

The Screen Went black for a few seconds.

Ellie was pulled to the hallway entrance that went to the door. Which led to outside of the house. The door was open and a Truck was outside with its lights on. Jill and Chris seemed to be having a private conversation. Ellie couldn't hear them since a soldier behind her was barking orders at her.

"Go on, Move!" The soldier said as he put the assault rifle at her back which got her moving. She looked back in disgust but moved on.

Then she heard a baby cry. ROSE! NO!

A soldier came out from the living room door and said.

"All clear." The soldier said.

The other soldier that came from upstairs had Rose in his arms.

"ROSE! What the hell are you doing with my daughter!?" Ellie shouted as she tried to move to Chris and Jill. But she was stopped when the soldier behind her grabbed her shoulder to prevent her from going any further.

The soldier with Rose put her in Jill's arms. Jill held her kindly and rocked her a bit to calm her.

"Package secure, Ma'am." The soldier said.

Chris looked at Rose then to Ellie.

"Take her away," Chris said. Ellie was not having this.

"I SAID GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER!" Ellie shouted as she forcefully placed a hand on Chris's shoulder.

"Ellie no." Chris said.

Then Ellie was grabbed by the shoulder and pulled to the side. She was then hit in the head by an Assault Rifle's end. Ellie fell backwards.

The force pushed her back and hurt like hell. She fell on her back.

She looked at Rose in Jill's arms.

She held her hand out trying to grab her daughter but she was out of reach.

"Rose." Ellie said weakly. Her hand dropped on the floor. She could still see the scene but her vision was blurry.

"Get her out of here." Chris said to the soldier.

Two of them grabbed her by the legs and dragged her to a Van. Ellie lost her vision more. Her head fell to the side then she blacked out.

Flashback….Baker's House….3 years ago…..

Ellie ran down the stairs as she was being chased by Jack Baker. He had a shovel in his hands ready to use it to kill her. She didn't have a weapon, or anything to fight back with. Jack was slow but he was catching up to her.

"Where do ya think you're going, girl. We got some unfinished business." Jack yelled maniacally.

Ellie cutted around the corner catching her breath. She stayed where she was. She tried to hold her heavy breaths, but she was terrified.

She slowly turned her head over the corner seeing if Jack Baker was still following her. But he was gone. Where was he?

Just then an arm grabbed her in the back of the neck. It pulled her through the wall behind her in the dining room where she was held captive by the family. She was tossed to the dining table as it smashed to pieces. She grunted painfully.

"Found You!" Jack Baker shouted. He raised the shovel high and was about to swing down on her.

No way in hell was she dying to this asshole!

She grabbed the closest utensil, which was a fork. She threw it directly at Jack Baker's eye. It made direct contact with his eye.

"AAAAAAGGHHHH" He screamed. She wasn't done yet. She took his own shovel. She shoved him with the handle, then skewered Jack Baker with his own weapon. She pushed him back into a wall.

She pulled the shovel out of his gut and jabbed him in his jugular. Causing him to bleed immensely. Jack Baker fell on his knees as he clutched his throat.

Ellie kicked the shovel's handle which decapitated Jack Baker.

"Rest in hell you freak," Ellie said as the Corpse of Jack Baker went limp and fell on its chest. The body seemed to turn white. Once when it seemed like the white color had taken over the entire body, the body exploded. Leaving only the lower half of the corpse intact.

The girl then continued on her way back to find Mason or a way out of this hell hole.

Flashback Ends….Present day….unknown location…..

Ellie woke up from her nightmare.

"God Dammit...another one." Ellie thought to herself. But she felt cold. Her vision was coming back slowly. She saw a van flipped on its side, there were two dead soldier corpses. A phone was ringing. She was in the middle of a snowy forest. Where was she?

"What the hell happened?" Ellie said to herself. She got up on her knees and crawled to the ringing phone.

She picked up the phone and answered it.

"About damn time, what's your status, is the package safe?" The static male voice said. What was he talking about?!

"What are you talking about? Where's Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, and Rose?" Ellie asked. She would find Rose and get her back at any cost.

"Who is this?! This is a secure channel. You do not have authorization to use this-'' The phone died. Ellie looked at the phone with great discomfort.

"Dammit," Ellie said to herself. She dropped the phone. She looked for a flashlight. Luckily there was one on a soldier's corpse. It was a chest flashlight. It was meant to be put on your chest so you wouldn't have to hold a flashlight.

Ellie gently took it off. First, she checked if it still worked, which it did. Thank goodness. She took it off and attached it to her right side of her jacket.

Ellie got up on her feet which wasn't too difficult. She looked around for any clues of who or what did this. She saw a few files laying next to the van.

She bent down to pick them up. The outsider grabbed the files. She examined them. It read.

"Neutralize Target. Recover body. Secure RW and EW" Why would they kill Mason? What reason did he have to do with this?

Although now that she thought about it. Mason hadn't been acting like himself. In fact he was acting like a whole other person. But why? Every time she brought up the past with him, he flipped out. Which wasn't normal for him to act like that.

Whenever Ellie used to bring up the past with Mason, he wouldn't flip out or snap at her, like he started to do just about a week ago. So what does any of that mean? Was the Mason she knew really Mason? Or did someone mimic him? All that would have to be put aside for the time being.

First she needed to figure out where the hell she was.

Ellie sat down the files. She looked in the direction where the van lights were pointing. If that's the direction the van was heading, then Rose wouldn't be too far.

Ellie walked over to the direction which led her up to where the forest was getting denser. The trees were dead, as they usually are in the winter. Ellie continued her way through the trees.

She was hearing rustles in the trees and branches. She continued to walk ever more cautiously.

"What the hell is out there?" Ellie whispered to herself. Out of the oblivion a few rocks fell down in front of Ellie. She jumped back, startled by it. Ok, now there was definitely something out here.

Ellie walked around the rocks. One was decently larger than the others, there were a few but not very much. Ellie continued to walk up the path. She came across a wired fence. The gap below looked like she could fit through but she would have to move the wire enough so she could fit.

Ellie bent her knees as she put her left hand up against the wire and moved it up, out of the way. She crouched underneath the fence. Once she was through the fence she let go of the wire, but it scratched her hand, making it bleed minorly. She looked at her hand, it was a minor cut and wouldn't do much to her hand.

She was coming up in a small gap where the trees seemed separated from each other. She then saw dead crows all over the place. Blood stained in the snow.

She gagged a bit from the smell. It reeked. She stepped over the bird carcasses. There were hanging carcasses too.

"You gotta be kidding me." Ellie said to herself. She pushed past the hanging dead birds. She was just about out of it until a "dead" crow started to flail and scream.

CRO CRO CRO

Ellie jumped from it.

Ellie felt sorry for it. She would cut it down but she didn't have anything to cut with. She had to leave the poor animal.

There was a loud noise heard from on top of a hill. Like snow falling down. Ellie knew she had to get away from here. The bird was just drawing attention to itself.

She stepped down from a small rock. The growls and shuffling noises from whatever was out there grew more frequent. She pushed past a few branches and twigs but they easily broke in half and apart.

She continued her way through the forest. She could hear water flowing close by. It was a small ambience but it could be heard. She was close.

Ragghh

Ellie stopped dead in her tracks, she swore she just saw a humanoid creature run past in front of her. It wasn't her imagination that's for sure. She knew she saw something.

She heard more in the distance. And they were getting louder. Meaning whatever was making those noises, were getting closer.

Ellie didn't think twice before she walked at a faster pace. She saw a wooden bridge that went over a small creek. She crossed it without thinking about stopping. She saw a wooden cabin. But it wasn't that small, it was large for a wooden cabin. The growls and rustling got louder.

Ellie didn't want to barge into the cabin if people were in it. They would think she was an intruder. So instead of barging in, even though she felt like she really needed to. She pushed the door open with her left hand slowly. The door creaked a bit from being open. It was dark inside.

A rat startled Ellie as it ran outside of the door that she opened. She looked around to see if anyone was home.

"Hello. Anyone here?" Ellie said. It didn't seem anybody was home. But everything seemed like it was just left. They didn't bother to pack anything. Did they flee or something?

Ellie looked around for anything useful. Or any clues of where to find Rose. She walked over to a juror. She opened it only to find nothing of good use. There was rope, a few notes, some old pencils. But nothing that could help her.

She just left it open and continued to search for any other clues. She could hear water dripping from a faucet. She went to it. The drain was full, and the water looked dirty. She turned the handle off which stopped the water from dripping. Ellie walked away from the faucet. She wondered if...whatever made those noises were still out there.

She decided to go down to the basement. May not be the smartest idea, but she noticed stained blood on the floor that led to the basement. Someone could be down there and needed help.

Ellie cautiously approached the staircase. She couldn't hear anything down there. But she took a step down the stairs. It creaked loudly. She hesitated for a moment, but she continued to take steps down the stairs.

She got down to the basement, the walls were made of stone. There were many wooden shelves, carts, and even some pictures. But she saw a symbol that resembled that of a Flower with two swords going through it.

"Huh, nice artwork." Ellie gave a compliment to whoever created it or its origins. She continued to look around the basement. She saw a picture fallen on its face. She picked up the frame of it, it revealed a woman, almost the likes of a goddess. Though it was hard to tell since it was a bit foggy. She set down the photo standing upright. She heard some rustling inside the shelf at the end of the basement. It had blood on the doors. Ellie approached with caution.

She grabbed the handles. She took a deep breath. She opened it at a decent speed, only to find another rat as it scampered off of the shelf. It startled and surprised Ellie.

"So many rats in this house, all at the same time," Ellie said a bit teasingly. She left the shelf doors open. She was about to head back upstairs and leave until there was glass shattering and a lot of destruction happening up on the base floor. Ellie was yet again startled by the loud noise. Something was in the house. Whatever it was, it sure was looking for something. Or her. Ellie continued her way back to the stairs. She was careful to do so. Whatever was up there, could still be there.

Ellie could see the stairs. She could hear the shelves fall still.

"Dear God," Ellie said to herself. She walked up the stairs further. She caught in the corner of her eye, a shelf fell on it's side more, which blocked her way from getting out. However, she noticed a small gap under the shelf.

Just enough for her to fit through. She crouched down then crawled through the hole. There were a few cardboard boxes in the way including a plastic box as well. Ellie just pushed the cardboard box out of the way. She looked at her hand, it was all bloody. She looked around at the damage.

"What did all this?" Ellie asked herself yet again. It somehow eases her tension when she talks to herself. But to others, it may be weird. But if you're alone in the middle of nowhere, looking for your daughter or even trying to find her kidnappers, then maybe talking to yourself wouldn't be all that awkward.

Ellie also saw that daylight was starting to make its breaking point. She continued to crawl out from underneath the shelf. She pushed the plastic box out of the way since it was blocking her path.

Once she was out from underneath the shelf, she got back on her feet. There was a hole in the side of the cabin. Must have been whatever caused all this damage to burst through the wall. Ellie walked out through the wall. The snowy forest was cold. Her jacket helped a bit, but not very much.

She climbed over a wooden fence that seemed to be quite old. But it held surprisingly. She went through a revine. Once she got out of the revine, she saw a massive Castle. The biggest one she's ever seen. Down below that was a village. But many of the structures seemed destroyed. She could see a windmill off to the southwest side of the village. A factory outside of the north side of the village. But the castle was beautiful. Never had she seen such a marvel.

Whoever had built that castle, must have taken decades. She couldn't even imagine what the insides looked like. Or even if anyone lived there. But, Ellie heard a bell ringing coming from the castle. So there were definitely people in there.

But the village on the other hand looked completely abandoned. She didn't see any villagers or livestock. Where was everybody?

This must be where Rose is. Somewhere? Either in the Castle. Or somewhere in the village. But on the other side of the hand, she could be in neither.

All Ellie had to do was look. But she didn't want to trespass. That would cause some unwanted problems. But she had no other choice.

She took a few steps towards the village until she lost her footing. She slid down a rock hill. Some of the rocks hit her in the thigh. But they didn't hurt majorly.

She got to the bottom of the small rock hill. She may get a few bruises from that. But for now, they didn't hurt. She got back on her feet. It took a little effort to stand since her mind was telling her it wasn't hurting but her body was saying otherwise.

Once she got to her feet, she looked around. There were many houses. But they all seemed abandoned. She examined the house's structure. They seemed stable, despite being decades old. She saw many dead animal corpses. A poor horse was a meal to whatever caused its death.

She examined the bite marks and slashes. This beast was attacked by what seemed to be sharp human bite marks. But no human would leave these kinds of teeth. The jawline of the bite was too short to be a wolf or a bear. Besides, a regular human jaw force couldn't even break through a horse's hide. So whatever caused this animal's death, was surely human, but in a way that she didn't want to think about.

She stood up from crouching and continued to look around for any villagers. But there wasn't anyone. Where the hell is everybody?

She went into a house as she pushed open the door. She looked around for any signs of people. She did however find a pot of soup. Looking like the ciorbe de legume that Mason made back at her house. Before he was killed.

But where was his body at when the van crashed? It wasn't there. Did those things in the forest take his body? If that was the case then why was she and the other corpses left alone?

But she couldn't think about that now. She needed to find Rose or even what the hell is going on.

She looked around for anything else, but there was nothing.

She heard something outside. As in, something was being dragged. She took a peek out the window, she saw the horse being dragged but she could not see what was dragging it.

"Wha-" Ellie said. She was confused about what was out there. She made her way back to the door. She opened the door and saw the horse's corpse. It was laying next to the fence entrance that took it to the side of the village.

She saw it for a split second then it was dragged around the corner.

"Where'd it go?" Ellie asked herself. She followed the trail where the horse was dragged, but the horse or whatever dragged it vanished.

On her way down the trail, there were goat heads hanging from the tree branches.

"What the hell happened to you guys?" Ellie asked the heads of the Goats. But she knew they could not speak. She was just doing it to ease her tension and ask herself these questions.

She continued through the trail. She passed a tractor that seemed broken down and decades old. A destroyed wagon which seemed wild west style. She passed many things but none of which had people.

Where was everyone? She asked it in her head numerous times. She eventually made her way to a house that seemed to have lanterns all over it. She was about to walk through the door until she heard a tree branch snap.

She turned quickly in the direction of the snapped tree. It fell to the ground in the snow. Ellie was startled by it, but she brushed it off and pushed the door open.

"Hello. Anybody here?" Ellie said. No response. Where was everyone?

Ellie saw a knife lying on a small shelf. Probably better take it. It might be useful. Ellie took the knife off the shelf. She examined it. Strong handle, sharp blade, lightweight, but all in all. It was handy.

She saw a bottle over on the larger white shelf. She took it. You never know when you might need one of these. She put it in her pocket on her jacket. She walked around into what seemed to be the living room. It had a kitchen, a dining table, and what seemed to be a closet covered by a blanket. She looked around to see if anyone could still be here.

She looked at a pot of soup that sat on the kitchen shelf.

"Did they just leave?" Ellie asked herself.

She heard a can fall from the closet as it rolled out from the blanket that covered it. Ellie approached the closet. She grabbed the blanket by the end and pulled it aside…. "Shit!" BAAM! A gunshot was fired at her but miraculously missed.

"Woah, woah, Friendly….Friendly." Ellie put her hands up with the knife still in her right hand.

The man who shot the gun was an elder. He wore a brownish cap, with a leather brownish coat.

"Who are you? Who sent you?" The man asked her as he still kept his gun up but not in a threatening manner. More of a defensive manner.

"Sorry for barging in but my name is Ellie. And no one sent me, there was an accident down on the road and-" She was cut off by howls. But not wolf howls. They were very similar but more menacing, ominous, louder, starting at a low pitch then ending in a high pitch.

"Ssh ssh" The man said to Ellie as he stepped forward looking up around the ceiling of the house.

"What's going-" She was cut off when the elder put his hand over his mouth to stop her from talking. He didn't do it as in to hurt her, but it was so that whatever was outside wouldn't hear her. He continued to look up at the ceiling with a worried expression.

The howls continued as it sounded like a pack of creatures was outside.

When the howls stopped, the elder looked at Ellie with an even more worried expression. He took his hand off her mouth and went to look at a small window. He looked through it trying to look upwards.

"Oh no!" He gasped. He backed up to the table. He looked at Ellie who was confused.

"They're coming..." He said. What did he mean by "they"?

"Who is? What was that?" Ellie asked.

"Do you have a gun?" The elder asked.

"Huh?" Ellie expressed. Why would she?

"Please tell me you have a gun." The elder asked her again with more concern.

"No. Why would I?" Ellie asked. She started to hear wood breaking as it was coming from inside the attic. In the midst of that she could her shuffling of low growls.

The elder aimed his gun at the ceiling. He was walking over to the closet, still keeping the gun aimed at the ceiling. He grabbed something from the shelf.

He handed her a pistol. A LEMI.

"It's all I can spare." The Elder said as he tried to get her to take the gun. Ellie was hesitant at first. But she took the gun and checked if it had bullets in the clip. Which it did. At least ten bullets from what she could count. She put the clip back in the gun and cocked it back to load a bullet.

The Elder seemed to panic a bit. He constantly looked around for...whatever was out there.

"Could you please tell me what's out there." Ellie said to the man. She had her pistol ready incase whatever was out there would show itself. But when Ellie asked the Elder what was out there, he didn't respond. The man jumped as he shot the gun at something behind Ellie. But when she turned around nothing was there.

He put rifle bullets down on the table to reload. They scattered across the table. The elder man scrambled to grab at least two of them.

"Hey are you listening?" Ellie asked the elder as he continued to scramble for the bullets. Out of the oblivion, something grabbed the old man by his head pulling him up into the ceiling.

Ellie had little time to react to try and grab the elder by his leg but he was long gone. She touched his leg, but she wasn't able to grab it. When the man had disappeared into the ceiling, blood came down from the hole.

"What the hell?!" Ellie said to herself. In a blink she was just with a normal person, but now whoever that was, was now dead. By whatever is in this village.

She felt something grab her calve. It came from under the floor. She looked down immediately to see a dark white platinum arm wrapped around her leg.

"Shit!" Ellie exclaimed. She was dragged under the floor. She must've been underneath the house. She couldn't see because it was pitch black. She turned on her flashlight that was on her chest. When it turned on she saw a dead body with bloody marks all over his face.

She gasped and jumped a bit. She looked at the corpse with disbelief and some fear.

"A Dead body?" She said, But there was something else. There was more. The entire room from underneath the house was filled with corpses. Female and Male. Children and Elder. Young adults and babies. None of them were Rose, thank god.

"Holy shit." Ellie whispered to herself. She was crouched as she maneuvered away from the corpse that was in front of her. She needed to find a way out of this place. Before whatever was down here found her.

She stayed crouched, trying to hear or see any hostiles. She came across a body that was leaned up against the wall. It was slouched but all the same dead and motionless. She gently grabbed it's forehead and moved it back up to the wall. The mouth was drooling stained blood.

"Oh my God." Ellie said to herself. She looked around only to see more corpses. There were so many. Was this the entire village? No...No there had to be more people alive.

"What happened to all of you?" Ellie asked herself. Why did this happen? How did it happen?

A corpse fell in front of her. Startled, she jumped a bit from the corpse. Something had moved it. But what? She heard shuffling noises. Very similar noises that she heard when the house was attacked. Ellie turned off her flashlight. But when she did it was pitch black. She could only rely on her hearing and touch for this. She then got on her stomach and crawled around looking for an exit. She felt like she was being watched.

All the sudden she saw dark orange yellow eyes staring at her. Ellie didn't dare to move as she laid perfectly still. She couldn't see the full shape of the creature that emitted the orange eyes. After what felt like an eternity the orange eyes went back down and continued to make the shuffling noises. It sounded like it was eating something. Or someone. She stayed where she was for a little longer hoping that thing didn't see her.

She continued her way through the corpses, making as little noise as she possibly could. Which was extremely difficult. Given the fact that she had to crawl over corpses. She saw a brink of light coming from a railed hatch. She continued to crawl to it. Until she heard the creature stop eating. The light from the railed hatch was exposing her. She stopped moving. Her heart was beating fast. Very fast. Her legs felt warm and weak. She was breathing fast and heavily. She covered her mouth to prevent the creature to hear her.

She heard footsteps now. It was walking toward her. What is that thing? She couldn't just stay here and let the creature come to her. She had her pistol on her, however she wanted to use it as little as possible. Since she only had 10 bullets in the single clip she had.

But it wasn't her only weapon. She had a knife too. But what the hell was she gonna do with a knife?! She got up but only so that she was crouching. The creature's footsteps were still coming, they were getting louder and louder.

She grabbed the railed hatch. It wasn't very secure meaning she could break it off. She pulled it back, but it held strong. It only made a loud noise meaning that the creature would know that prey was nearby. Ellie had no time to waste now. She tried another useless attempt to pull the hatch off from the stone wall. It budged a little but it still wasn't enough. The creature was getting closer. She could hear it.

"Open you fucking piece of metal!" Ellie whispered loudly and angrily. She tried again pulling it with more force. This time she actually got somewhere. The top right corner was out of place now. It was pulled to the inside meaning that the left bottom corner was out of place too.

She reached to grab the other corner of the hatch. But she realized that she couldn't hear the creature anymore. She stopped. She looked behind her to see no orange eyes or ruffling sounds. It was like it disappeared. Where did it go?

She was about to brush it off and go back to getting the hell out, but then something grabbed her left hand and bit down on her pinkie and ring finger.

She fell on her back as she saw the creature on top of her. It was humanoid, it had grey skin coloring with orange eyes. It had a torn up shirt with black hair that was long on all sides.

"Get the Fuck off of me!" Ellie shouted at the creature, but it did not seem to care what its prey said. It was going to kill her. After that, the monster ripped half of Ellie's pinkie and ring finger. It jerked its head like a predator and tore off half of her fingers.

It roared loud, while Ellie was in pain and fear. She looked at her hand as it twitched and shook. It had a massive opening from the monster when it tore off her fingers, on her left hand. The creature however wasn't done. It grabbed Ellie by the throat and threw her through the wall.

She smashed out of the wooden wall and landed in the snow. She looked at her left hand which was bleeding out. It shaked and twitched.

"Shit! What the Fuck was that!?" Ellie said as she turned over on her back. There was a massive hole that was created when the monster threw Ellie out of the wall. The monster was walking out of the darkness. Growling and hissing in the making.

"Stay back!" Ellie said as she pulled out her LEMI. She aimed it at the creature. There was no way of talking sense into these things. The monster muffled growls at Ellie as it took no intimidation from guns.

Ellie learned from The Baker house to aim for the heads. It always gets them.

She aimed the LEMI at the monster. She tried to pull the trigger but it wouldn't budge. The safety was still turned on. Ellie turned off the safety but the monster was close enough to her it grabbed her by the legs, and did a short rodeo as it threw her into a locked gate that was chained up. She grunted in pain as her side hit the gate. She struggled to get back on her feet. But she managed it. Soon after she quickly aimed for the monster's head and pulled the trigger. BANG! The pistol fired as it hit the monster square in the face. It flinched as it fell backwards a bit but remained on its feet. It roared in anger but Ellie could tell that it worked. She fired another shot again but this time at it's right knee. Causing the monster to fall on its knees.

Ellie put her pistol back in her holster and pulled out the knife she got earlier. She rushed at the monster, which was trying to recover from being shot in the knee. Ellie kicked the creature in the face as it fell on it's back. Ellie was about to jump on it and stab it in the head but it got back up very quickly as it flanked her to the left.

Ellie got into a defensive position. Ready for the monster. The monster seemed to flank again, but this time towards her. It grabbed Ellie by her shoulders, it was about to clamp it's jaws on her shoulder. But Ellie stabbed the creature in the neck which stopped it dead in its tracks. Ellie pulled out the knife then kicked the monster in the gut forcing it back on the floor.

The monster seemed dead for a moment. There was blood on Ellie's right hand. But it wasn't hers. It was the monsters. The corpse of the monster was now turning white. Soon enough the body had been crystalized and had fallen apart.

Meaning it was actually dead. But that meant that these monsters were similar to the Mold in Louisiana. Was this Village plagued by the same Mold in Louisiana? She managed to kill one, but she only had 9 bullets left in her pistol and the whole village was probably full of them.

She needed to find Rose or any other survivors. She walked back over to the chained gate.

"Damn it. Chained up tight." Ellie said. She noticed that her left hand had stopped bleeding majorly but she needed to find something to wrap a bandage around. Before she got an infection.

She checked back in the house to see if there were any bolt cutters. And to her luck there happened to be a pair of red bolt cutters. She took them and headed back outside to the gate. She couldn't go back the way she came since it was blocked off from shelves and other furniture that had fallen in front of the doorway. She took it outside and went over to the gate. She opened the bolt cutters and clipped the chain. Ellie thought about just leaving the bolt cutters but they could be useful. She went back in the house and looked for a strap to put the bolt cutters on her back. She couldn't find one but she could definitely make one. All she needed was a strap, some rope, and a latch. The house provided all of that.

She took the strap and wrapped it around herself. She then took the rope and wrapped it around the bolt cutters. Not around the handle or the blade but it was just around the metal part where the handles and blade meet. She then put the latch on the rope and tied it tightly together. She tested it as she put the bolt cutters on her back.

And to her best of craftsmanship, the bolt cutter stayed where it was.

"Perfect." Ellie said with satisfaction. She then went back outside and opened the gate. She felt like she could take on a lot right now. But not everything.

She saw a body hanging outside a door but it was dragged off into the darkness of the house. Ellie pulled out her LEMI out of her holster. She aimed it at the door ready to fire. She could hear a static sound from inside. It sounded like a radio.

Perfect, maybe she could contact someone in this village and ask what the hell is happening. She pushed the door open cautiously and looked around the house to see for any monsters. There didn't seem to be any. She pushed the door open wider and walked through. She walked to the radio but as soon as she got close it died. The static was gone so it was useless now. Then blood leaked through the ceiling of the first floor. There was something upstairs. She put her LEMI up and pulled her bolt cutters out. The blade was short but it was sharp. She held it with her two hands ready to swing it at any monsters.

She walked up the stairs cautiously. She took a few more steps when all the sudden one of the steps snapped but the others held. It startled Ellie as she thought she was about to fall down the stairs but it was only one step so nothing to worry about.

When she cutted around the corner didn't see a corpse or a monster. There was definitely something here. She put her bolt cutters back on her back. She pulled out her LEMI, she saw some bullets over near a shelf at a barricaded window. They were handgun ammo so that would be very useful. She walked over to grab them.

RAAARGH

Ellie fell backwards as a hand tried to grab her. It was another monster. No, there wasn't just one. There were many. The monster gave up from trying to get through the barricaded window and climbed back up on the roof.

Ellie heard a splintered wood break. Was that the door? SHIT! The Door! Ellie scrambled to her feet and rushed downstairs. There was a shelf right next to the door. But there was a massive hole made by one of the monsters. They use weapons!? One monster had a scythe of some sort. But it was more of a pickaxe than a scythe. Ellie quickly grabbed the shelf and moved it to block the door. That should buy her some time.

She ran back upstairs only to see a corpse fall right through the roof. But none of the monsters went through the hole. Ellie ignored the corpse and grabbed the pack of ammo. There were at least 15 bullets inside the box. She took all of them and put them in her bag on her belt. The monsters were getting loud and trying to break through the windows and door.

"Surrounded. Damnit." Ellie said. One of the monsters bursted through a window and landed on the stairs. Ellie quickly got her LEMI ready. The monster was unarmed but still dangerous.

The monster leaped at Ellie but she flanked to the left as the creature crushed a barrel. Ellie shot at the creature in the back of the head. The monster got up however and tried to grab her. Ellie put her left hand up to stop the monster but the strength of it was more than what her one left hand could handle. The monster bit on Ellie's left shoulder. Ellie agonized in pain as the creature ripped off some flesh. But luckily not her, it wasn't a piece of her. Ellie then put the gun in the monster's mouth and said.

"Eat Shit, BITCH!"

After that she shot the gun in the monster's mouth as it's head exploded. Some of the blood flew on her jacket and face. The loud sound of destruction and wood splintering stopped as soon as the monster had been decapitated.

She had 8 bullets left in the clip but she could easily fill it back up with the spare bullets she has in her belt. She now had 23 total bullets in her inventory. Guess two shots to the head is enough to kill those fuckers.

Ellie went back downstairs and checked if it was truly over. Which it was but the Nightmare was just beginning. She looked around for any loot she could use but there wasn't anything else of use. The radio turned back on which caught Ellie's attention.

It was static for a few moments then a female voice said.

"If there are any survivors, come to MY- To Luiza's house, near the fields."

"Survivors."

Author's Note: Hello Everyone! Frostzilla 2002 is back! This took way longer than I expected. And As you can see it's not fully 10,000 words as promised. My apologies but Google Docs counted 10,007 words but I guess Fanfic isn't as accurate as Google Docs. Anyway, if you're wondering what Ellie Winters looks like, just picture it as Mia from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard but with white hair and Ethan's jacket over top of her white tank top. As for Mason Winters, He looks exactly like Ethan but with brown hair and just with a checkered style flannel shirt. And Yes I did add Jill Valentine because I feel that Capcom needs to add Jill into the newer Resident Evil Games. She would have made an epic appearance in Resident Evil: Village but Capcom didn't seem to do that.

Now I left it here because I thought it would be a good place to stop. The Next chapter will take just as long if not longer than the first. Since all the chapters will be at least over 8,000. I would also like to add I will be hosting polls for you fans to vote on the decisions of Ellie Winters, Chris Redfield, and Jill Valentine.

For Example: Should the story feature Jill in the Village siege at the end of the game or should the story stick with Chris Redfield?

That is just an example but if you want to vote for it in the Reviews then go ahead. And of course, there will be major flirting and romance scenes mostly involving Lady Dimitrescu and her Daughters with Ellie. And Since Ellie is a girl, Lady Dimitrescu doesn't hate her and wants to feed on her blood for a just reason.

Heisenburg will most likely be extremely flirting with Ellie. I'm not a Wintersburg shipper for many reasons but as long as if Ethan is female then sure but if it's male Heisenburg and male Ethan then I'm out. Don't get me wrong I support gay rights and black rights but I just don't ship a man with another man. Now a woman and another woman I would do, but I think it would be awkward to ship a man and another man together.

Donna Benivento will be very shy to her but still takes a liking to Ellie. I won't go too deep into Donna beneviento on how she thinks about Ellie since I'm not going to spoil any.

As for Moreau, He basically just sees Ellie as another mother figure. Even though he speaks quite highly of Mother Miranda, Ellie Winters actually cares for what he believes and doesn't think he's stupid. In fact Ellie felt so sorry for him that she wants to help him. (that is later on when she meets the four lords and Miranda)

I'm not quite sure if the next chapter will feature the meeting between Ellie and the lords of the Village, but it will introduce a whole new enemy. Not just to Ellie but the Lords of the Village.

The Varcolac Alfa. I'm making this thing deadly and dangerous. It cares not for the Lords or the other monsters. It only cares about it's only desire. To kill. Once it has tasted blood it doesn't stop until it's prey is dead.

Mother Miranda's still a bitch. She doesn't change one bit about the lords or the villagers.

That's enough of me babbling now. I have some questions for all of you if you would like to answer them in the Reviews.

1. Why did Jill Valentine Join Chris in killing Mason?

2. Why do you think Ellie likes art so much?

3. Would you rather have Ellie fight a Lycan with her hands tighed? Or have her run the Guantlet?

4. Who should win Ellie's fate? Lady Dimitrescu, Donna Beneviento, Moreau or Heisenburg?

5. What do you think the purpose of the Varcolac Alfa is in the village?

6. What do you think the Lords + Miranda's reaction be to the Varcolac Alfa hunting Ellie Winters?

7. Should Ellie have her hand wrapped up before she gets to Luiza's house? Or should Elena Tend to her wounds when they get to her House?

8. Should Ellie save everyone in Luiza's house and succeed? Or should she try and fail to save everyone in Luiza's house?

9. Should Elena Survive?

10. How should the remaining villagers treat Ellie at first sight?

11. Do you think Ellie could defeat Urias in the next chapter?

12. After Ellie's encounter with the Varcolac Alfa, should she be critically injured with scratches, bloody marks and scars all across her body? Or does she get away unscathed by the monster?

And that's all the questions I have for now. Once when everyone has put in there answers then the next chapter will begin.

God Bless You All The Way To The End! CHEERS!
