Emma woke up shivering, Regina was in her arms snuggling into her chest as much as she could to keep her body warm but the blankets weren't enough. Emma got up quietly and went over to the fireplace and started a fire, Emma sighed out as the wave of heat hit her body making her hum in contentment.
"Baby come get back in bed I'm cold..," her wife called tiredly from the bed making Emma laugh. She thought back on last night and how Regina passed out on top of her after that earth shattering orgasms' she gave her; it was a beautiful sight one Emma would never forget.
"Alright I had to light a fire to give us some warmth." Emma whispered as She pulled Regina back into her arms as she slid back under the thick blankets.
"Mmhm.." Regina hummed.
"So you still want to go through with that thing about controlling a portion of Snow's army?" Emma asked tracing patterns on Regina's back.
"Yes, if I could train myself to keep control long enough to wipe them out before I completely drain myself then it would not only catch them by surprise it would give us the upper hand fully." Regina explained now fully awake.
"Alright then today we get back to work, but we have a little extra time before everyone comes back from Mals place." Emma said, placing a passionate kiss on Regina's lips which the brunette returned without hesitation.
"Well lucky for us then." Regina said with a grin before rolling herself on top of Emma with ease. Regina grinned as she felt Emma's hard on pressing into her ass and being the tease she is, she started to grind against it making Emma groan in frustration.
"You don't like it when the tables turn do you?" Regina whispered in her ear before laughing softly.
"Dammit Gina," Emma growled, flipping them around, making the queen smirk in victory. Emma rubbed her dick against Regina's glistening and ready center making them both moan at the stimulation. Emma slipped inside, making Regina nails dig into her shoulders painfully.
"God it always feels good when you do that," Regina moaned out, making Emma grin in excitement.
"Well if you would like me to do it more stop provoking me to do otherwise, cause we both know I could leave you here high and dry without a care in the world." Emma whispered.
"You wouldn't dare…" Regina growled her eyes flashing purple. Emma wanted to prove Regina wrong, she didn't want to give Regina the satisfaction of being right so with a smirk Emma pulled out.
"What the hell are you doing!" Her pregnant and sexually frustrated wife yelled as she made her way out the bed.
"Leaving you high and dry of course." Emma said with a grin as she magically changed her clothes.
"You think this is a damn game Swan?! I am far from high and fucking dry I'm practically a got damn river. But if your going to play dirty then it's only fair I do the same." Regina said getting up a dark look casting in her eye. Emma knew she was in trouble the way Regina used her name and whatever the outcome maybe she knew she wouldn't like it but if it meant proving Regina wrong then she'll risk it. So she told herself.
"Have your men ready for my training. I'll be downstairs in a bit." Regina said drily walking towards their wardrobe.
"You don't want me to help you dress?" Emma asked, a bit more surprised.
"No, I'm sure I'll be just fine for a day," Regina said walking into the wardrobe not even sparing her husband a glance.
Coming out of her stupor Emma replied with a quiet alright before leaving the room to do what she was told and to get straight on with the day before their family got back. Emma magically made herself appear in the village and gathered up all her soldiers letting them know it was only practice for the pregnant queen. There were quite a lot who were worried about the queen's Health and how using her magic this much would affect the heirs but Emma reassured them if their queen was over doing herself she would step in immediately.
Regina sat patiently in the dining room waiting for Emma's return and just when she was about to get up to make her way back to their chambers her family appeared in a cloud of grey smoke,
"Mommy!" Sam yelled immediately getting into her lap happy to see her again even if it was only a few hours.
"Goodmorning my little prince, were you good for your aunty Mal?" Regina said softly a smile gracing her lips at the sight of her son.
"Yes it was so fun, aunty Mal even had a big cave at the bottom of the castle and it was filled with a lot of pretty diamonds but aunt Mal calls the jewels and treasures," Sam said proudly.
"Mm, yes it is a beautiful sight to see I'm glad you enjoyed your stay." Regina said with a smile before kissing his head full of hair. "God you need a haircut I'm tired of your father trying to avoid it and push it aside," Regina murmured to herself.
"Mommy where's daddy? I missed her." Sam said.
"She should be finishing up. She's just doing mommy a favor." Regina explained as everyone else took their seats at the table.
"It was your wedding night, why are your pheromones everywhere, there's so much sexual tension rolling off of you I could cut it with a knife." Granny said looking at Regina expectantly.
"Well how about you ask your son in law," Regina growled looking at Granny crossing her arms over her chest as her husband walked through the doors.
"They are outside waiting for us," Emma said as they're son came jumping in her arms.
"Well I guess I'll see all of you for lunch," Regina said before getting up to catch her mother Coras gaze. It was longing Regina almost felt bad for the position she put her in, but she had to remember she hurt her first.
"Mommy can I please go with you and daddy please!" Sam begged. With a sigh Regina looked up at her husband.
"Not right now buddy but as soon as we get finished you can come with us and we'll go to the village after lunch alright." Emma said with a small smile as she watched her son's eyes grow with excitement.
"You promise?" He asked sticking out his pinky making Emma laugh know it was something he usually did with his mother.
"Yeah kid I promise." Emma said locking their pinky's for a moment then letting go, letting him run over to Cora to talk her ear off.
"Ready?" Emma asked, but Regina disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke, making Emma huff irritation but she could only blame herself. Emma disappeared in a cloud of red smoke appearing on the bench of Regina's garden giving her a nice view of Regina and all the soldiers.
Emma watched Regina walk up to Soldier and whisper in his ear. Emma could see the soldier getting flustered as Regina trailed her finger from his jaw line down to his neck and then his chest resting her hands there for a moment before pulling away. Emma stood from the bench her feeling of anger and jealousy striking through her veins.
"What the fuck was that?" Emma growled storming over to her wife interrupting whatever she was explaining to the soldiers and pointing at the guard Regina was getting handsy with.
"Well you wanted to play dirty so I played dirty, you didn't give me what I wanted so I'm going to pluck someone out of here who will willingly give it to me." Regina whispered, Emma knew she was lying to get her riled up.
"You wouldn't fucking dare." Emma growled, pulling Regina's body to hers by her waist.
"Is that so.." Regina breathed out softly placing her hands on Emma's chest.
"Are you done denying me now?" Regina asked with a smirk.
"I'll sit on it while you finish up here but get handsy again, and well I'll let you find out what I'll do. We both know I'm not a patient one Regina so it's best if you wouldn't test it." Emma said whispering the last part in her wife's ear.
"Fine," Regina said ignorantly. With a smug smirk Emma turned back around and made her way back to the bench.
Regina looked at the amount of soldiers and took a breath before thinking of her command and when her magic spread out around her hitting every soldier in her range. Emma watched as the soldiers got on their knees in sync, Emma watched as Regina made them walk in liner formation for a couple minutes before Emma felt Regina's magic release around them uncontrollably Emma poofed to her wife's side before she collapsed.
"Hey I got you," Emma whispered as her wife slumped into her arms.
"I didn't even last 10 min," Regina murmured, her eyes drooping.
"Hey it's fine there's always next time Regina, you're pregnant remember you have to limit yourself." Emma said softly.
"I can't, I have to go all in, we need to win, I have to help," Regina said tiredly as Emma carried her up the stairs to their chambers.
"Take a nap and when me and Sam come back we can all have dinner." Emma said before sitting her exhausted wife on the bed and placing her under the blankets. Regina passed out immediately, Emma took off her cloak sitting it on Regina's chair in front of her vanity neatly. Emma placed a kiss on Regina's head before making her way downstairs running into her son.
"Daddy you and mommy done? So we can go to the village?"Sam asked, grabbing his father's hand.
"Yeah but it's just going to be me and you today your mother is resting." Emma said, taking her fingers through Sam's hair.
Regina looked around her. It was chaos. She could see Mal in the air breathing fire anywhere she saw the white kingdom's crest and she could see Ruby in her wolf form tearing snows soldiers to shreds.
"Your majesty we have been instructed by the king to get you out of here he said you exhausted your magic and you are an easy target," Graham said trying to lead Regina off the war field.
"You think I'm going to leave this late in the fight we're almost there Graham I'm not leaving her," Regina said walking past him through the path of dead soldiers. She needed to do something and quickly she didn't see Emma anywhere.
Regina sat up in bed and looked around. She remembers Emma saying something about taking Sam to the village before she fell asleep. She also remembered her failed attempt to keep control of her magic.
"Dammit!" Regina yelled quickly getting out of bed, but she nearly lost her footing as a wave of dizziness washed over her. Taking a deep breath Regina put on some flats and made her way downstairs meeting Granny and her mother in the dining room.
"Emma and Sam went to the village market," Granny said as she walked in.
"Yes I know Emma told me before she left, but I'm going to be outside to do some more training I'm sure the guards are out here working their asses off with Ruby, Mulan and Graham." Regina said before poofing on her red velvet cloak.
Emma and Sam walked around the different stands looking at the stuffed animals and other trinkets. Then something caught Sam's eyes.
It was a necklace with a small Ruby apple about the size of a centimeter. "Daddy look we could get it for mommy," Sam gasped pointing excitedly at the jewelry.
"Yes I think mommy would like that very much," Emma said walking up to the stand and getting out her bag of gold coins.
"Excuse me but how much would this necklace be?" Sam asked as the stand owner looked down at the child.
"It would be five gold coins," she said with a smile.
"Here you go," Emma said, handing her ten instead then taking the necklace placing carefully in a box she conjured out of magic.
"Daddy can we go home now I'm hungry," Sam whined.
"Alright kid ready?" Emma asked, gripping his hand.
"Yes!" He yelled in excitement knowing his father was about to teleport them. With a flick of her wrist they appeared in her and Regina's room with plans to wake the queen with a surprise, but she wasn't there.
"C'mon kid," Emma said, walking out the room making her way downstairs to find her wife. Emma walked into the kitchen to see Belle and granny making what looked like a loaf of bread while Ruby was sneaking meat out of the stew pot on the stove.
"Does anyone know where Regina is?" Emma asked her gaze, shifting in each of their directions.
"She said something about going to train," granny said.
"Shit!" Emma yelled, making herself disappear in a cloud of red smoke and appear behind her wife.
"Regina I told you, you need to rest." Emma said, trying not to sound pissed.
"I did and I'm well rested thank you," Regina said, getting a bit agitated with how Emma was acting.
"Alright guys you're done for the day, go ahead and go home!" Emma yelled at the soldiers to get a "yes your majesty!" In response.
"What the hell I wasn't finished, I don't know what the hell your problem is but we can talk about it later until then I'm going to continue to practice!" Regina yelled.
"You're done for today, actually no you're done until our children are born." Emma said, grabbing Regina's wrist and pulling her towards the castle.
"Bullshit!" Regina yelled, snatching her hand away from Emma's hold.
"Regina!" Emma yelled, Regina could tell she was getting pissed but she didn't care cause she was getting pissed to.
"I'm not going in there," Regina stated.
"We'll see about that," Emma said, grabbing Regina's hand and poofing them in the castle foyer.
"You're acting like a damn child Emma!" Regina yelled.
"Oh I'm acting like a child, is me being worried about your well-being such a crime Regina!" Emma yelled back.
"Coming in and ending my training when I wasn't finished isn't caring about my well being Emma it's being a dick!" Regina yelled back.
"You are not going into war with me," Emma said.
"That's funny Emma that's real fucking funny," Regina said laughing her magic sparking at her finger tips.
"I'm serious you're gonna stay here with Granny and Belle," Emma said, getting a hard slap across the face her face tingled and she had no doubt that there was a handprint there. Emma grabbed Regina's wrist and held her against the wall not allowing her to move no matter how hard she fought.
"You have to understand that I'm doing this for you and the babies Regina," Emma said pressing their foreheads together.
"No you're not and you know it you know it," Regina said, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Whether you believe me or not it isn't going to change my decision." Emma said, releasing her wife.
"Fuck you Emma, fuck you!, fuck you!, fuck you!," Regina screamed pounding and punching as hard as she could as the obscenities fell recklessly from her lips.
"I hate you!" Regina sobbed sinking to the ground.
"No you don't you're just angry because I won't let you have your way." Emma said before bending down and kissing Regina on the temple then leaving to go find their son.
Regina stood up and walked up the stairs and went into the library. Regina laid on the couch and fell asleep instantly while everyone got ready for dinner.
Emma walked into the library seeing her pregnant wife fast asleep. She felt guilty for making Regina cry. She hated the sight but she couldn't allow Regina to fight alongside her because there was too much at risk.
Emma picked her up with ease and carried her into their room using her magic to change her dress into a sleeping gown. She placed Regina under the blankets getting a slight groan of protest from the queen but just as quickly she settled into the comforter and was dead to the world.
Emma walked down stairs and sat at the table letting Sam climb into her lap. He looked at her straight in the eyes and she could tell he wanted to ask her something, but whatever it was he decided against it.
"Where's Regina?" Mal asked, taking her seat.
"She's asleep," Emma said, taking a bite out her food. Everyone was talkative at dinner, well everyone but Emma. She took small bites of her food and gave anyone who asked her a question a short response. Sam noticed and tried to cheer her up but he had no luck.
"Sam, are you ready to go to bed?" She asked him. He nodded his head with food still stuffed in his mouth. Emma and Sam said good night to everyone then left the table. "Daddy, can I sleep with you and mommy?" Sam asked.
Emma let out a long sigh. "You can sleep with mommy but she and I aren't sleeping together tonight." She said blankly. "Why not?" He asked with his hands on his head. Sam was confused about why his mommy and daddy weren't sleeping in the same bed. It's what they always did every night.
"Because mommy and I fought so I'm giving her time to cool down," Emma explained.
"Where are you going to sleep?" Sam asked. Emma honestly didn't know where she was going to sleep. She was probably just going to crash somewhere in the castle.
"I don't know yet." Said Emma.
"You can sleep with me." Sam offered.
"Thanks, buddy I'll take you up on that offer." Emma got ready for bed and assisted Sam with anything he needed. She read him a bedtime story and laid him on his bed. Emma grabbed a blanket and sat in Sam's bedtime story chair. As she was about to doze off Sam tapped her knee.
"Daddy, can you sleep in my bed with me?" He whimpered. Emma could see the tears in his glossy eyes. She didn't know why he was sad though.
"How come you want me to sleep in your bed?" Emma asked.
"Because when you go bye-bye I want to see you one last time." Sam cried. Emma picked up her crying son and held him close.
"Daddy's not going anywhere." She said.
"You promise?" Sam asked looking deep into her eyes. Emma wiped his eyes and kissed him on the forehead. "I promise now let's go to sleep."
Emma laid down on the small bed with Sam on her chest slowly breathing. He was holding onto her as tight as he could. Sam was asleep within a matter of minutes but Emma however was not.
The sky is red and there's black smoke everywhere. Mal was flying through the sky with arrows in her. Knights are screaming in pain as they're running on fire. Not just light kingdom knights but also dark kingdom knights. Emma hears Ruby's wolf whimpers from across the battlefield. Ruby's covered in her blood with her hind leg hanging on by a single tendon. She was bleeding out fast with her blood surrounding her. "Ruby stay with me alright I'm going to get you back to the castle!" Emma cried as she tried to cauterize the wound. It was already too late Ruby was in human form but now dead. Emma cried over Ruby's body. Then out of nowhere, a scream pierced her eardrums. She looked up to see it was Regina. Regina was holding her stomach as blood ran down her leg. She was screaming her heart out as she walked towards Emma. Emma ran to Regina but her body hit the floor before Emma could get there. "Regina talk to me, baby." Emma cried as she held a cold lifeless Regina in her arms. "Talk to me!"
"Daddy wake up," Sam said, shaking Emma. She opened her eyes that were filled with tears and hugged her son tight. "Why are you crying, daddy?" He asked. "I had a bad dream buddy. A really bad dream." Emma explained. Sam kissed her on the cheek. "Did that make you feel better?" He smiled hoping he'd get a smile back.
"A lot better thanks, kid. Hey, how about we go play in the snow before breakfast." Said Emma.
"Yay!" Sam cheered.
"Alright let's get dressed."
The two were playing in the snow having fun. Sam finally stopped throwing snowballs at Emma and Emma finally stopped body slamming Sam into the snow. They were building a snowman when Emma felt a hand on her shoulder. "What are you guys making?" Regina and Belle asked softly.
"We're making a snowman mommy and aunt Belle!" Sam said excitedly but Emma was silent. "Emma, can we talk?" Regina asks, putting some gentle pressure on Emma's shoulder.
"I don't want to talk," Emma said with no emotion. She was trying to contain herself. Even though she sounded emotionless on the outside Emma was dying on the inside.
"Emma please I'm sorry." Regina pleaded. Emma got up from the ground.
"Are you? Are you actually sorry Regina?" Emma asked.
"Yes Emma, listen I didn't mean what I said last night." Said Regina.
"No, you listen because you don't. What you said last night hurt me so much. When you said you hated me it hurt me. I know I just brushed it off but that shit hurt me. You know what I hate-"
"E-Emma." Regina stuttered.
"Don't fucking cut me off. I want you to truly listen to me. I hate that I'm stressed the fuck out every day. I hate that I'm angry every day. I hate that I'm in pain every day but you know what I don't hate is being with you and the kids every day! You and the kids are my only true happiness, Regina. How many times do I have to say it for you to finally get it? I know you're stressed, angry, and in pain but that's what I'm here for. When you said you hate me you destroyed my thought that I've ever helped you." Said Emma.
"Emma I'm sorry." Regina cries.
"I don't want your sorry. I want you to understand me because you never listen. You never truly listen, Regina. It's hard for me to tell you stuff because I never know if you're really listening! Ive been having nightmares since we found out you can control people with magic." Emma cried out.
"Why?" Regina asked, confused.
"Because of you, you're the reason why. When you fell because you're pushing yourself way too hard I see it in my nightmares. I see blood running down your leg, I hear your ear-piercing screams, I feel my heart crush when you fall dead to the ground, and I taste the saltiness of my tears when I cry over your body! Regina. When I see you out there falling outside my nightmare becomes my reality."
"Emma I had no idea," Regina said, going in to hug Emma but gets pushed away."
"Because you're too stubborn to see the bigger picture. Even if the picture is losing Henry and Elizabeth. It seems like everyone in the castle has told you to calm down or take a break. But no you just flick all of us off and keep going." Emma said, digging her nails in her palms.
"I want to win this war, Emma!" Regina yelled out in frustration.
"At what cost Regina, do our children's lives mean nothing to you!" Emma yelled back.
"Mommy daddy stop fighting!" Sam cried.
"Belle get him out of here." Said Emma. Belle tried to pick Sam up but he started kicking and screaming. "Daddy!" Sam screamed as he clawed at his aunt's arm making her put him down. "Belle I said get him the hell out of here!" Emma demanded.
"Of course they mean something to me. How could you say that?" Regina cried.
"Because I know deep down that my hatred for Snow will never outweigh my love for you or our kids. I don't give a damn about this war if it means losing you or them. I-I don't know if you feel the same at least I don't anymore." Emma turns her back to Regina and opens her hands revealing her bloody palms.
"Emma don't go please!" Regina pleaded.
"I think I need to go Regina." Said Emma turning her head back forward. Regina broke down into tears as Emma started to walk.
"Daddy! Daddy!" Sam screamed. Emma looked at her crying son as he tries wiggling away from his aunt. "Sam-"
"Daddy you said you wouldn't go bye-bye!" He cried as he kneeled in the snow. "Sam I-"
"You promised Daddy! You promised." Said Sam. Emma was speechless as her son was falling apart in front of her eyes. "Take him, Emma." Regina croaked out.
Emma picked up their son from the snow. Sam clung onto Emma with his wet snotty face in the crook of her neck. "When are you coming back?" Regina asked.
"I'll bring him back before dinner," Emma said blankly.
"That's not what I asked Emma," Regina said hoping she'd get the answer she wanted back.
"I don't know, bye Regina."
Emma gets to the front gate of the castle and she looks back at her crying wife being comforted by Belle. They lock eyes for a moment before Emma looks away. The gate opens and she and Sam leave the castle with Emma not knowing when she'll return or if she ever will.
Emma stops the horse at a big stone house. She hasn't been here in what feels like ages. The house was something from her past that is now in the present. "Where are we, daddy?" Sam asked.
He had never been here and he didn't like being in new places. "This is a house uncle Graham and I built together when we were teenagers," Emma explained as they walked into the house.
"What's a teenager?" Sam asked curiously.
"You'll find out later in your life Sam." Emma chuckled.
Emma got Sam herself settled in and cleaned up the house a bit. She could tell that it hadn't been lived in since it was her and Graham's hang out spot. After the feeling of nostalgia was over Emma remembered what she came for. She came to talk to someone that she would never in a million years open up to but she felt like she didn't have a choice. Emma didn't have anything else to lose.
"Sam we're going to go somewhere and I need you to be very quiet. If anything bad happens to me I'm going to teleport you back to mommy ok. I'll try my hardest to get back to you if that happens." Sam nodded his head understanding what Emma was saying. She took his hand and they both disappeared in a cloud of red smoke. They were in someone's den but not just anyone's den. "Hello, Father."
David turned around hearing the pain in Emma's voice. He was shocked to see her and a little boy who was clinging to her leg. "Father huh I haven't heard that name in a while. What are you doing here Emma, your mother could walk in any minute." Said, David.
"I don't care about Snow anymore if she comes. Right now I need to talk to someone and that someone just happens to be you. So I really need you to drop the King David that's Snow's bitch act and be my father right now. I need you to be my father for the first time in my life. Can you do that for me just this one?" Emma asked.
"Of course Emma put a spell on the door so that only you allow who comes in and out," David said, taking a seat. He patted the spot next to him hoping Emma would sit down. Emma looked down at Sam who was still holding her leg tightly. David could see what was going through Emma's mind. He walked to a walk and pushed a button to call a servant. "Who did you just call?" Emma asked, putting her hand on her dagger. "One of your old flames trust me I wouldn't have summoned her if I knew she was going to tell," David said, calming Emma down.
A knock came from the door as David called for the person to come in. Emma looked to see it was Mary, one of her old handmaids. "Hello, Mary." She said swallowing her spit. "Hello, Emma it's surprising seeing you here. Are you the one who called for me?" Mary asked.
"No, I did," David said, grabbing a box of toys. "Take the boy to the table over there and keep him company. Sam took notice that they were talking about him and looked up at Emma. "It's alright Sam she's one of my old friends. If you need me just come back over." Emma explained. Sam nodded and went with Mary to the other side of the room to let his father talk about grown-up things.
"So where'd you get the toys?" Emma asked, trying to make small talk. This is the first time she's really talked to David like he was actually her father. Emma thought she would be about to pour out all of her emotions to him since she had nothing to lose from him. But she couldn't because something was holding Emma back. "I bought them for you actually." He chuckled letting a single tear roll down his cheek. "I bought and made toys for you when you were little but your mother never let me give them to you. But I kept buying them and making them anyway. Every time I wanted to do something for you Snow always got in the way. She'd always say 'Emma's mine you already have your prince. I want to have my princess.' I just sat back and let her push me away from you." David said, putting his head down.
"Why how come you didn't fight for me?" Asked Emma. Her whole life she saw how her mother controlled him and she never knew why he didn't fight back. "I was weak and some part of me believed what she was saying. She wanted to be able to have you as her own because you were a girl. Snow wanted you to be her perfect little princess but I knew that wasn't what you were going to be. I could tell from the minute you were born." David explained.
"Why didn't you tell me all of this dad?" Emma asked, wiping some of her tears. "My whole life I hated you and you could've changed that by just telling me this."
"I didn't tell you because I was stupid. I did things for you from a distance. When your mother refused to get you riding pants I bought you some and put them in your dresses at night. I knew what you were doing all the time. I watched you a lot. Just in the shadows, I thought that would be enough but it wasn't." Said, David.
"You had no idea what I was doing," Emma said defensively.
"I knew about that little house you and Graham built and all of the girls that you all brought in there. All of your flames, failures, and successes I knew about them all. As I said, Emma, I was always there. Now that we have discussed my shitty parenting let's talk about why you're here." Said, David.
"Because I'm scared dad. I'm truly scared." Emma said looking him in the eyes.
"What are you scared of?" He asked.
"I'm scared that my marriage is falling apart, I'm scared I'm going to lose my twins and I'm scared that my wife's going to die." Emma cried. "Wow, that's a lot to be scared of." Said, David.
"Yeah, you think." Emma scoffed.
"Em look I know you love Regina and I can see by the way she fights for you that she feels the same. Your marriage is not like mine and your mother's yours can be repaired if it is falling apart." David explained.
"Dad, I feel like you in my marriage right now. I feel weak. It feels like everything is overpowering me and making me not want to be passive." Emma argues.
"Tell her Emma don't yell but tell her. Explain to her I can tell that she's stubborn but I feel like once she feels and knows what you're going through she'll change." David says putting his arm around Emma.
"You really think so?" She asked.
"I do, so what's up with the little one over there." He motions to Sam playing with Mary. "He's a little too old to be you and Regina's kid. Let me guess one of those girls tracked you down and told you about him?" David chuckled.
"No, actually Snow killed his mother and took away his father so Regina and I adopted him," Emma said bluntly, not taking kindly to David's joke.
"Oh, I'm sorry he just has your eyes and your personality when you were his size." Said, David.
"Yeah sometimes people at the castle point out our eyes but that's it," Emma said dismissing his comment.
"You were wild back then Emma it's just food for thought." Said, David.
"Whatever you say dad I think it's time for me and Sam to go now," Emma said getting up.
"Ok, are you going back to Regina?" He asked.
"No, I'm going to stay somewhere else for the rest of the day." Said Emma.
"I think I know where, take Mary with you just in case you need anything around the place done." David offered.
"Dad it's fine I can do it myself." Emma groaned.
"It's fine princess Emma I would love to serve you." Said Mary popping into the conversation.
"Fine and don't call me princess. Come on Sam we're leaving now bye dad." Emma said disappearing in a cloud of red smoke.
"Goodbye... Son."
When they got back to the little house Mary made Emma and Sam breakfast. As they were eating at the table Mary was making small advances at Emma. Emma honestly didn't notice because she was too focused on Sam. She made sure that he was settling in alright. Their staying was obviously not a permanent situation but Emma still wanted him to be comfortable. "Hey, Sam how about after we finish eating we'll have some hot cocoa and I'll teach you how to ice fish." She offered.
"Ok." He smiled as he was slowly letting his guard down.
The two of them went out and had a lot of fun. Sam even caught a couple of nice sized fish. A few times Emma had to hold his hips so that he wouldn't fall forward. He was extremely happy about how many fish he caught. He was even more excited about how big they were. Sam would flex his little muscles every time he got a big one. Emma wasn't the only one that observed his goofiness Mary did as well. "He's goofy just like his father," Mary smirked and placed her hands on Emma's shoulders.
"Yeah, I guess it rubbed off on him." Emma smiled, paying more attention to her son than Mary. "How about I make a nice hot bath for you and Sam. If I remember correctly there's a hot spring in this house." Mary said flirtatiously.
"No it's fine I'll do it. It's easier for me to do it with magic than for you to do it by yourself in this weather. It's a huge spring to fill up." Emma said walking over to Sam to get him. "Oh yes I remember," Mary said under her breath hiding her smirk.
Emma got everything ready and got Sam into the spring so that he could wash up. After a few minutes, he started calling for Emma. "Daddy! Daddy." He called out. Emma found him in the hallway covered up in a towel with his lip poking out. "What is it, little man?" Emme asked. He motioned to his towel-covered body in a sassy manner. "Oh shit you do need another pair of clothes," Emma said, snapping her finger and putting some clothes on him. "I saw that sassiness mister a little bit of your mother has definitely rubbed off on you." She smiled.
"Daddy, can I take a nap?" Sam asked.
"Sure you can sleep in my old room." Said Emma. She took him to the room and got him tucked in. Sam liked the big bed all to himself without his mom and dad putting him in the middle of them. After he quickly fell asleep Emma went to the hot spring to wash off. As she was soothing herself to the hot water the door opened causing her to open her eyes.
"You look like you're enjoying yourself, mind if I join," Mary said, getting into the spring. Emma just looked at her not giving Mary any signals. "Yeah I actually do mind," Emma said as she continued to wash herself. Mary got closer and grabbed the rag away from Emma putting her arms around Emma's neck. "Let me help you for old times sake," Mary said biting her lip.
"Old times should stay like old times Mary," Emma said coldly.
"What's stopping you Emma I know you've been dying to fuck me again. I can see it in your eyes." Mary whispered as she nibbled on Emma's ear. Emma looked at her pants and saw the ruby that Sam and her had gotten for Regina. Emma pushed Mary off of her and got out of the spring. "My wife that I love that's what's stopping me from making this idiotic decision. My love for my wife." Emma said as she puffed her clothes back on. She went and got some then teleported herself and Sam back to the castle. Leaving Mary naked and alone.
Emma appeared in her bedroom where her wife was sobbing in their bed. "Regina," Emma said softly. Regina looked up and began crying more.
"Are you just dropping him off?" Regina asked as her tears fell onto her baby bump. Emma put Sam on the bed and walked over to her wife getting on one knee. She pulled out the necklace that was in her pocket and placed it in Regina's hands.
"Regina I love you so much but I need you to understand your actions more. It was wrong for me to just walk away and to make you feel like I was taking away our son forever. Our love and marriage are strong and I don't want it to fall apart." Emma said, moving Regina's hair out of her face.
"I don't want it to fall apart either," Regina said cupping her hand on Emma's cheek.
"Promise me that if you fall trying to control the soldiers again you'll stop for good." Said Emma.
"Emma I don't-"
"Promise me please we can't risk losing Henry and Elizabeth. I'm not saying you can't do anything in the war, I'm just saying that you can't do anything that's going to put all three of you in danger." Emma explained.
"Ok, I promise my love." Regina leaned in connecting their lips together. Emma smiled and put the Ruby necklace on Regina. "Thank you for coming back to me and the necklace." Regina chuckled.
"Thank our son for both things, not just the necklace." Said Emma.
"I love you." Regina murmured.
" And I love you times a million." Emma whispered before pressing another kiss on her lips.
"You and mommy are back together now?" Sam asked, his bottom lip poking out.
"Me and mommy never separated. We were just giving each other space." Emma said, taking her fingers through their son's long locks.
"Ok," Sam said snuggling into his mother before quickly falling asleep.
"He needs a haircut," Regina stated her voice raspy from crying.
"You've told me," Emma said, laying down happy to be in their bed again.
"Yet you keep putting it at the bottom of your list, he can barely see with this curtain covering his face." Regina argued and all Emma could do was smile. She missed Regina even if it was for a couple of hours but it felt like days to Emma.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Regina asked, pausing her rant.
"Because you are the most beautiful specimen I've had the blessing of laying eyes on." Emma said with a smirk as she watched Regina's cheeks change into a rosy pink color.
"Stop it Em," Regina murmured looking away shyly.
"Never," Emma said scooting closer and spooning her wife.
Emma released a deep sigh at the feeling of her wife's body against hers she could feel Regina also relishing in the feeling.
"I love you Emma," Regina said quietly, turning around and placing her hands gently on her chest.
"I love you too Gina," Emma said, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"I was being selfish, I just wanted to win, for once I wanted us to be happy. I don't want to worry about Snow's knights climbing through our balconies and taking our son. They don't deserve this Emma none of them do, not Sam, Henry, Elizabeth, Ruby, Belle, granny, none of them deserve this." Regina said tears trickling down her cheeks.
"You let me worry about all that alright, I need you safe for them and Sam." Emma said, placing her hands softly on Regina's protruding belly.
"Ok," Regina murmured, gripping Emma's shirt as the babies started to kick her painfully.
Regina whimpered as the kicks were a bit painful, "calm your children please," Regina whimpered making her husband nod quickly.
Emma scooted down and laid her head on her wife's belly feeling the babies kick at the wall skin that surrounded them. "You have to be good for daddy, you're hurting your mommy out here and we don't want that. We want to keep her safe and when you grow all big and tall you'll be able to protect her all by yourselves." Emma said while rubbing Regina's belly soothingly.
"don't go filling their heads up with ideas yet dear, they haven't even left the womb yet," Regina said scolding her husband.
"What… just giving them some suggestions," Emma laughed once the kicking stopped then pecking her wife on the nose.
"I told you to stop kissing my nose," Regina said scrunching it up and wriggling it around.
"You know you love it when I do that," Emma said, making Regina laugh.
"Lying will get you nowhere in life," Regina said resting her head on Emma's chest.
"Go to sleep Gina I know you're tired." Emma said as she ran she fingers through her wife's dark silky locks which had grown longer since the start of her pregnancy.
"Mmm you don't have to tell me twice," Regina murmured, her eyes drooping close. Emma smiled down at her family watching them sleep before getting up and walking to the library to see their family sitting around chatting.
"She's been in her room crying for hours, I hope Emma comes back Regina didn't mean what she said we all know that but we all know how Regina gets when she's pissed." Ruby said leaning against one of the bookshelves.
"Yes we do she's very hot headed but I guess we can blame Cora and granny for that one," Emma said, making everyone jump at the sound of her voice while granny and Cora both laughed at the comment.
"You son of a bitch, where have you been all day? Does Regina know your back?" Ruby asked walking up to the blonde.
"Yeah rubes we talked everything out, everything is fine now." Emma reassured.
"Good, I hated seeing her like that it made my heart clench," Mal said appearing out of nowhere. Emma rolled her eyes at Mals words and sat down on the couch next to Granny while Cora, Belle and Mulan sat across from them.
"So I have a plan but for it to work we all have to be in this fully," Emma said looking around at everyone. She got a nod from everyone and continued.
"I made a promise with Regina, I said that if she passed out from overusing her magic or overworking herself that she had to let go and let me take full control meaning she would not be on the front lines with me, she would be here with granny and Sam. I know now that she would be very mindful of how hard she's pushing herself but I know that if she makes it to battle ground all of that leaves her mind completely. She would feel obligated to put everything she had because that's what everyone else around her was doing. And that is where the overworking herself would come in.
With that being said Mulan and Ruby, you two are going to be in charge of getting Regina back to the castle safely meaning while she's on the battlefield you do not leave her side unless I'm there. Cora you will also be on the battlefield and with how stubborn Regina is you will help get her out.
And granny you would be here with Belle waiting for her return." Emma explained while everyone nodded in agreement at her plan.
"Regina has no idea about any of this does she?" Cora asked.
"No she doesn't," Emma replied.
"It's for the best," Cora said standing up.
"I'm not finished," Emma said, stopping Cora in her tracks making her sit back down.
"Regina can control people with her magic, that's why she's been so persistent in training and pushing herself. But because she is pregnant and close to giving birth her magic and energy is draining faster but even then Regina continues to push herself over the edge endangering not only herself but the twins also, the most Regina can control is a thousand at best. I wanna say the bigger the number is the quicker her energy drains. So at best we will have 5 minutes to take the upper hand 5 minutes to slaughter as many of them as we can." Emma explained.
"2weeks, we will go to war in two weeks." Ruby said.
"What if we just set an attack on the kingdom?," Belle asked.
"As much as I want to get snow back for that attack she did on our kingdom there's kids there. They are innocent, that's why we will not attack the villages." Emma explained.
"And I need you and Mal to know that their weapons are going to have mermaids ink on it and I don't know how it will affect the two of you." Emma said looking at Ruby and Mal.
"The mermaid's ink doesn't affect me in my dragon form so I will be killing in the sky, but I will have to get the arrows about before I change back into my human form." Mal explained.
Emma looked at Ruby, "I don't know how it will affect me but I'll do my best to avoid them." Ruby said Emma could tell that granny still didn't like the idea of Ruby participating in the war but there was nothing she could do. Ruby wants to do it.
"Alright guys that's all for tonight let's all get some rest another long day tomorrow," Emma said before getting.
"Alright goodnight guys," Emma said.
"GoodNight," the family called as she walked out and went back to her room getting back in bed and spooning her wife.
"My back hurts," Regina mumbled quietly snuggling back into the warmth of her husband's chest. Emma slid her hands down to Regina's lower back and slowly massaged the tense muscles.
Regina whimpered again before letting out a sigh of relief. "Thank you," Regina mumbled before falling back asleep.
Emma smiled before closing her eyes letting sleep overcome her.
Three days later*
The last couple days Regina and Emma have been nothing but exhausted, day and night they've been making sure everything was prepared.
Sam burst through the doors of his parents room seeing them still asleep in the bed. It was late in the morning and they were usually up before that, but he was starving and he didn't eat his meals without them.
"Mommy, daddy I'm hungry" Sam whined, climbing into the bed and squeezing in between his mother and father. Regina mumbled something but he didn't understand a word she said partially because she was half asleep and also because her face was on a pillow.
"Alright kid we'll be down in a couple minutes," Emma mumbled her eyes still closed but she shifted on her back.
"ok, " Sam said running down the stairs to the dining room, Emma and Regina didn't even have the energy to scold him this time, Regina just grumbled and snuggled back into Emma's chest.
"Ginaaa," Emma groaned tiredly, dragging out her wife's name.
"Hmm.." Regina hummed not opening her eyes.
"Breakfast." Emma said, finally opening her eyes with a sigh.
"No I think I'll stay here you can go though, say Goodmorning for me," Regina said softly turning her back towards her husband.
"No you're coming downstairs with me, if I have to get up you have to get up." Emma said getting up and pulling the blankets off her wife.
"Well you children are telling me to lay down and sleep the day away." Regina argued snatching the blankets back with a deep scowl on her face.
Emma smirked making the blankets disappear with a snap of her fingers. "You didn't," Regina growled.
"Oh I did, so let's go." Emma said, making one of her wife's robes appear in her hand.
"Ughhh!" Regina groaned getting up and snatching the robe out of Emma's hand storming out of the room.
"Someone's definitely in a bad mood this morning," Ruby said watching her pregnant sister walk through the dining room with bed hair and bags under her eyes from the lack of sleep.
Emma walked in behind Regina obviously dreading her wife's emotional rollercoaster.
"Good Morning guys." Belle said, walking in as Emma and Regina took their seat and the head of the table.
"Good morning," Emma said sitting next to her grumpy wife.
"What's got your mood all sour girl?" Granny asked sitting at the table.
"She's just pissed because she wanted to sleep in," Emma said laughing but quickly shutting up when she saw the death glare Regina was giving her.
"We'll cheer up because today's schedule is all cleared, today is a family day except with the whole entire family, meaning everyone here and yes you too Mulan." Ruby said standing up looking at everybody.
"And what are we going to do this fine winter morning?" Regina asked looking up from her fruit bowl.
"That's for me to know and for you to find out, just make sure you're all bundled up. And Mal I better see your ass out there I mean it." Ruby said, glaring at the blonde who huffed in frustration and rolled her eyes in response.
"Alright," Regina said with a smile, her mood picking up.
Once everyone finished breakfast everyone was going to their rooms to get ready.
"Daddy I don't know which one to wear," Sam said running into their room holding up a velvet red cloak and a dark navy blue cloak.
"Here you can wear the blue that way you and mommy can match," Emma said while her son laughed in excitement.
"Ok," he said, rushing out the room so he could finish getting ready.
"Emma, I need your help!" Regina called out from the closet. Regina was wearing a white dress at the end of the dress about 1-2 inches there was sewed in fox fur going all the way around the dress. The dress was strapless instead of around her shoulders and back like the bottom with sewed in fur.
"I need you to put on my boots," Regina said, holding out her white heeled boots.
"Really Regina, do all of your boots have 5 inched heels," Emma grumbled.
"I don't see why it really matters, these are the ones I want to wear, they go with my dress and that's all that matters." Regina said, holding out her awaiting foot, Emma laughed before bending down and slipping the boots on her wife's feet before lacing them up.
"Thank you," Regina said with a smile before kissing Emma on the cheek. Emma smirked pulling Regina closer to her by her waist and kissing her on the lips passionately making the queen moan out.
"Mmm we have to go," Regina said, pulling away.
"I know," Emma sighed faking sadness, making Regina laugh as she grabbed her dark navy blue velvet cloak.
"What do you think Ruby has planned?" Regina asked as she brushed out her long dark curls.
"I don't have a clue your guess is as good as mine." Emma said looking at Regina through her vanity mirror.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Sam yelled making the brunette jump up with worry rushing towards him.
"What happened, did you hurt yourself? Did you fall? are you alright?" Regina asked rambling as she was looking him over for any bruises or scratches.
"Oh no I didn't hurt myself I'm just all ready to go outside, see!" He said spinning so his parents could see his outfit for the day with his cloak rising a bit.
"Yes dear that's wonderful, me and your father are finished also, so let's go meet up with everyone else." Regina said grabbing her cloak and putting it on.
Sam rushed ahead of them down the stairs while Regina and Emma walked their arms interlocked.
"How do you think they got a hold of so much mermaids ink?" Regina asked.
"More than likely magic no doubt," Emma said as the hit the last step seeing that everyone was already outside.
Emma and Regina stepped outside and were greeted with a ball of snow to the face making Regina shout out in surprise.
"Which one of you idiots threw that!" Regina yelled, wiping the snow off her face. She looked at both of her mothers, Ruby all the way to Graham.
"If I'm going to be out here you have to be miserable with me dear," Mal said with a grin while everyone burst out laughing making Reginas cheeks twinge pink with embarrassment.
"I'm going to get you back for that Regina growled using her magic, making a handful of magic made snowballs appear behind her floating waiting for command to attack.
"Remember baby I'm on your team," Emma said, trying not to be on the receiving end of her wife's wrath. Mals eyes widen at the fear of being covered in cold snow.
Regina smirked at her friends' fear and let the snowballs attack her, everyone was either laughing or preparing their own ammo.
"Daddy you gotta help me I can't do it by myself," Sam said while crouching trying to make as many snowballs as he could with his small hands.
"Alright I got you kid," Emma said, helping him make the snowballs.
Three snowmen and 2 snowball fights later everyone was freezing and ready to go inside. Regina and Sam were practically shaking from the cold while everybody else took it like a champ.
"I'm never doing that again," Regina said, her teeth chattering as they climbed the stairs, their son once again rushing ahead of them only this time he was rushing to get his clothes off.
"I'll have hot tea in the library once everyone is warmed up!" Granny yelled as everyone was scattering to their rooms to get warm.
"Spring?" Emma said, Regina nodded, poofing them in the spring completely naked.
"Your majesty would you like me to run a bath for prince Sam?" One of the maids asked walking into the spring averting her gaze as she saw the king and queen in the spring.
"Yes please and thank you," Regina said before the maid left to do what she was told.
"Seems to me we're all alone," Emma said moving in front of her wife, eyeing her hungrily."What's going through your mind?" Regina asked, biting her bottom lip. Emma moves closer to Regina pinning her on the wall of the spring. "Ways I'm going to make you scream my name," Emma whispered as she massaged Regina's clit. "Oh really?" Regina moaned out failing to keep her composure. It has been a while since she and Emma have had sex. She was ready for anything Emma could give her.
Emma connected their lips together starting a very passionate kiss. She moved her hands to Regina's very hard nipples. Emma moved her thumb in a circular motion using the water from her thumb to enhance Regina's pleasure. "Fuck Emma." Regina moaned out as Emma aggressively went after attacking her pulse point.
As Regina is a moaning mess Emma pulls away making Regina whimper from the loss of contact. "Why'd you stop?" Regina whined. Emma looked Regina up and down examining her body slowly, taking everything in. "I'm thinking of my next move." Said Emma. She moved back towards Regina and lowered herself. "And I think I've made my decision," Emma smirked before going under the water.
Regina was confused until Emma's tongue slid over her sensitive clit causing her breath to hitch. Emma started to speed up sending paralyzing pleasure shooting through her body. She desperately tried to grip onto something as her hips lifted up. Emma slid two fingers inside Regina's yearning pussy causing her to scream. "Fuck Emma!" She yelled. As Emma picked up her pace as she lifted herself out of the water looking deep into Regina's eyes, not blinking. "Fuck Papi I'm gonna cum." Regina moaned as her legs came together.
Emma roughly pulled Regina's legs apart, gripping her thighs more than likely leaving a mark. "Hold it," Emma said sternly as she fingered Regina faster. Regina tried to inch away but was cornered. "Don't run baby." Emma husked as she felt Regina's walls tighten around her fingers. "Baby I can't hold it," Regina whined as she was trying to hold back her climax as much as she could. "I said hold it," Emma said, going faster. She knew Regina couldn't hold it in. Emma wanted to punish Regina and she wanted to punish her hard. "Fuck!" Regina screamed as she came hard onto Emma's fingers.
Regina watched as her husband slid out her fingers and gave her an evil glare as she sucked the cum off them. "I told you to hold it," Emma growled. "I couldn't baby it was too strong, I'm sorry." Regina pleaded. Emma let out an evil chuckle and got up to sit on the ledge of the spring. "Come here," Emma commanded Regina as she beckoned her fingers. Regina moved slowly to Emma as she noticed Emma's dick was hard. 'Did it get bigger' Regina nervously asked herself. As Regina got to Emma's knees she was roughly grabbed by her throat. "What did I tell you to do?" Emma growled. Regina moaned at her husband's aggressiveness. Emma grabbed a handful of Regina's hair and pulled her head to Emma's chest. "I'm pretty sure that wasn't the right answer. So I'm going to ask you again. What did I tell you?" Said Emma into Regina's ear.
"Not to cum." Regina whined. Emma pulled Regina's face to hers. "You know I have to punish you right." Emma husked. Regina swallowed the lump in her throat. "Yes." She moaned. Emma gripped Regina's face with one hand. "I want you to suck my dick." Said Emma. Regina began to softly suck on her husband's dick to only be pulled off seconds later. "Look at me" Emma growled. Regina nodded her head only to get an evil look from Emma. "Speak," Emma commanded. "Yes, Papi." Said Regina.
Emma pushed Regina's head down making the tip of her nose touch Emma's groin. Regina's head bobbed up and down as her wet throat wrapped around Emma's huge dick. She gagged as she kept going down on Emma. Regina loved pushing herself to the limit as she tried to go deeper. "Fuck Gina!" Emma moaned out. She could feel her orgasm getting closer and closer.
She picked Regina up and laid her down on the stone floor. Emma slid her tip up and down Regina's glistening pussy getting her arousal all over Emma's tip. "Fuck me, Emma," Regina begged. Emma slid deep into her wife's pussy causing her to let out a loud groan. She slammed into Regina violently putting Regina's legs over her shoulders. Giving her a deeper angle. The combined sound of Regina's screams and the sound of their skin slapping together was pushing Emma to the edge.
Regina's walls tightened around Emma's dick hard. I'm gonna cum!" Regina screamed as she tried to claw at Emma's abs. "Cum for me, baby." Said Emma. After a few more hard thrusts Regina came everywhere. "Shit!" Regina moaned out. That was it to pull Emma over the edge.
They were both a panting mess "That's a good girl." Emma murmured.
"I love you," Regina says looking up at her husband.
"I love you too." Emma smiled down at her wife while Regina was staring at her like she was her whole world.
"We need to get cleaned up before our son gets finished," Regina said letting out a breath.
"You are right. As always," Emma said, adding the last part as an afterthought before picking them up off the floor and going back into the spring.
"I know," Regina said the look she always gave Emma when she was right. Emma started laughing but quickly stopped when granny burst through the doors of the spring.
"Granny!" Regina screamed covering her breast as she turned red in embarrassment.
"I only came to ask what you guys wanted for dinner we're not doing anything big tonight since Everyone's pretty tired." Granny said.
"You couldn't wait till we were finished to do that?" Regina gritted out.
"You wanna go there ok, you couldn't wait to have sex in your bedroom at that screaming like you were about to be slaughtered by a mad man," granny said and if possible making Regina turn a couple shades darker in embarrassment, pretty sure she matched a rose at this point.
"Let's have some chicken soup alright," Emma said, trying to keep in her laughter from granny scolding Regina like a child.
"Ok I'll let the chefs know," granny said, giving Regina another look before leaving. As soon as the door closed Emma bursted out laughing at her wife while she pouted.
"It's not funny Emma," Regina pouted.
"It is very funny," Emma said standing up and getting out of the spring.
"Help me up," Regina said, holding out her hands letting her husband help her out the spring. With a snap of her fingers Emma had Regina in a night gown and herself in an undershirt and sleeping pants.
"Mal is about to work my nerves," Regina mumbled as they walked out into the hallway.
"Oh I think Ruby will too," Emma said with a laugh, Regina stopped and glared at the blonde.
"What?! you know I'm right!" Emma said with a grin holding out her hand towards her wife.
"Now let's go have tea time," Emma said, kissing Regina on her forehead before they continued their journey towards the library.
"Hello dearie!" Rumple said, appearing in the vault filled with magical artifacts.
"What are you doing here?" Blue asked, turning around with a look of disgust.
"Well I'm here to make a deal of course," he said, doing his famous hand gesture with his nasty grin.
"I don't want to make a deal with you." She spit.
"Really. What if it was at the queens expense?" He asked with a grin already knowing he had her.
"What is your deal?" She asked with curiosity," she asked, giving him her full attention.
"While everyone is fighting I will enact a curse, but to do that I need a hair of the purest true love in the realms." Rumple explained.
"So snow and David are still each other's true loves?" Blue asked.
"Yes," rumple lied.
In reality they were no longer true loves but they were the last and current purest true love so with a strand of their hair the curse would still enact.
"Casting this curse would tear the queen and the king apart and the queen's memory would be wiped. She would have no recollection of her times of being the evil queen meaning there will be no more dark queen and the dark King." Rumple said watching the realization cross over the fairies face.
"That would save the whole realm from their Reign, wait but what is in it for you if I get this what do you want in return?" She asked.
"Doing this will allow me to see my son who I thought was dead, so I won't need anything but your signature here on the dotted line please." He said with a giggle as she grabbed the feathered pen and signed her name.
"Now I will like these as soon as possible if you don't mind," he said before disappearing in a cloud of black smoke.
Granny and Cora walked into the library with trays with bowls of soup, they started passing everyone a bowl. "Mommy can aunty Belle read me a bedtime story, '' Sam asked while his mother was looking for a book to read.
"Yes as soon as you finish your dinner that your grandmothers are handing out." Regina said scanning through the first page of a book she got off a shelf to see if it was any good.
"Ok," he said happily, skipping over to his family.
"What are you doing over here busy?" Emma asked walking over to her wife leaning against the wall watching Regina turn the page in a book.
"Just looking for a book to pass time," Regina said, sitting the book back in its correct spot on the shelf then grabbed another.
"Oh this one seems to be interesting," Regina said, flipping the page in curiosity.
"What's it about?" Emma asked.
"A wife killing her husband." Regina said as Emma's eyes widened in fear of her wife as Regina had a scowl on her face almost like she was actually considering doing it.
"I'm just kidding Emma calm down, it's about a little girl being kidnapped by a kingdom to be presented as a princess who would be groomed to be queen." Regina said closing the book while walking over to Emma before kissing her on the cheek.
Regina walked over to their family and joined them by sitting on the couch. Emma came and sat while Regina laid on her lap opening the book and starting to read it. Emma on the other hand grabbed a bowl of soup and dug in. She was famished she only had one meal today and that was breakfast and now that she thought about it Regina hadn't eaten since breakfast.
Emma looked down watching her wife's eyes take in the world on the pages then flip through the next pages. Emma then turned her attention to the last bowl of soup waiting patiently for Regina to dig into it. With a sigh Emma grabbed the book and replaced it with the bowl of soup.
"Hey!" Regina yelled, getting their families attention.
"You need to eat, you haven't eaten since breakfast," Emma said. Regina glared at Emma as she was about to say something when Cora jumped in.
"She's right you need to eat something Regina ," Cora said, making Regina sighed out in frustration as everyone watched Regina sit up so She could eat. Granny looked at Cora with a smile.
Two weeks later the day before the war*
The castle was bustling with knights and soldiers, in a few hours they were to leave to start riding towards the white kingdom. Regina burst through the doors of the war room where Emma was discussing fighting tactics.
"The archers will be waiting in the woods for my signal so you guys will need to worry about their blind spots, the groups they aren't able to touch. That means your eyes need to be open and your mind attentive, that is if you want to survive me and your queen would want nothing more than you to survive but losing is not an option understood!" Emma said.
"Yes your majesty!" the soldiers said before bowing then leaving the room.
"Hello your majesty," Emma said, turning around looking at Regina with an exhausted smile.
"Hey, I need to talk to you," Regina said Emma knew it couldn't be good by the look on her face.
"Did you have a vision?"
"Yes but I couldn't exactly tell what it was, something isn't right." Regina said pacing back and forth.
"Regina,"
"I wanna say it's a curse but I'm not sure, I wasn't paying enough attention," Regina rambled.
"Regina,"
"What if it was the black fairy," Regina said pacing past Emma.
"Regina!" Emma yelled, making her wife freeze.
"This is not the time to panic, alright whatever it is we'll figure it out, but we need to show a sense of calm because if we panic everyone will panic. They are relying on us Regina," Emma said pulling Regina to her chest.
"Your right I'm sorry, I-Emma i just feel it in my bones something isn't right, and me not knowing is driving me nuts and I should've seen it before I should've known something was off I just don't know why I'm just now realizing it." Regina said tears running down her cheeks as her hormones hit her with full force.
"Hey, calm down alright everything will be fine." Emma said, trying to reassure her wife.
"You and I both know that's a lie but I appreciate you trying to make me feel better," Regina said with a watery smile.
"Your majesty! We got word from group A and they said the white kingdom has made their move." A soldier said, rushing into the room.
"Then I guess we better start getting ready, go get Graham and tell him to have everything prepared before we get there." Emma demanded the guard nodded before leaving to fulfill his orders.
"We need to get ready," Regina said. Rushing out into the hallway running into their son.
"Mommy what's happening are you and daddy leaving, can I come?" Sam asked, gripping his mother's dress.
"Yes baby me and your father are leaving, but you can't come. You have to stay here with granny and aunty Belle ok. Me and your father will be back ok I promise," Regina said, giving their son a reassuring smile before holding out her pinky which he took with tears eyes.
"Can you be a good boy for me and daddy?" Regina asked, bending down to match Sam's height.
"Yes," he said looking up to his father who kissed him on his forehead.
"Alright Belle we'll tuck him in," Regina said looking at the brunette behind her.
"Ok I'll get your things ready," Belle said as Regina, Emma, and Sam made they're way to his bedroom. Emma put him in bed and tucked him under the blankets then Regina sat on the edge of the bed stroking his hair lightly.
"Mommy can you tell me a bedtime story?" Sam asked. Emma leaned against the wooden stick holding up the top of the bedpost looking down on her family with loving eyes.
"There once was a prince, his parents spoiled him with their riches while he treated everyone around him horribly. Then one day he went into town hoping to buy some new toys for himself but while he was walking to the market he bumped into a villager woman and knocked her over. He yelled and told her to watch where she was going and humiliated her in front of the whole village. But what he didn't know was that the woman was actually a witch and because of his rudeness she cursed him to live a cruel life of unfortunate events.
A couple days later his parents exiled him from the kingdom, and no other kingdom would allow him to live within their walls with that thought he was forced to live in what they call the forbidden forest, where he grew old and there's a rumor saying his spirit haunts those who dare travel through his forest." Regina finished.
"Why was the prince so mean to everyone?" Sam asked.
"I wanna say because he thought he could do whatever he wanted because he was of higher power. Sam, one thing I want you to know is that no matter how much gold or power you have doesn't mean You get to treat people like they are less human than you are. Sam it's rude and inconsiderate and you were raised much better than that right?" Regina asked, looking down at they're son.
"Yes." He said nodding his head with so much conviction. Regina smiled a tear strolling down her cheek as her hormones got the best of her once again.
"Mommy why are you crying?'' Sam asked worriedly, sitting up and wiping his mother's tears.
"Because you're such a smart and kind prince, my little prince." Regina said with a sigh placing a kiss on his temple. "Get some rest my little prince," Regina said before getting up.
"Goodnight kid," Emma said, placing a kiss in the same place Regina did before following her wife.
"Goodnight mommy and daddy!" Sam said before they closed the door.
"Right on time you two, me and granny will take it from her, both of your armors are waiting in your chambers and Graham said everything is set to get moving," Belle explained as the married couple turned around.
"Thanks Belle you're a lifesaver," Emma said before making the disappearance in a cloud of red smoke.
"I don't think this will fit me," Regina said looking at what was supposed to be her armor for war.
"Regina the seamstress measured you, so it should fit you perfectly," Emma said, striping down to her t-shirt and underwear then proceeded to put her armor on.
"I guess so," Regina said softly before doing the same her husband was doing though hers wasn't metal plated like Emmas.
Regina let her hair fall in loose curls down her back. "See perfectly I told you," Emma said with a smirk.
"Yes now let's go we've kept everyone waiting," Regina said looking into the green orbs that belonged to her husband, she couldn't help but get lost in them. She didn't even realize Emma was moving closer and closer to her until their lips were millimeters apart.
"I love you," Emma said before capturing her lips in a soft but passionate kiss.
"I love you too," Regina whispered softly, pulling away.
"Alright let's go," Emma said, her face turning serious before making them appear in front of the thousands of soldiers that were willing to give their life for this kingdom.
"Thank you graham for holding down everything, is everyone here?" Regina asked as all the soldiers stood at attention waiting for further instructions from their king and queen.
"Yes Mal left a bit early to see how much time we had, and Mulan and Ruby are already positioned." Graham explained.
"Alright then let's get going," Emma said, getting Regina on the horse and hopping in front of her.
Emma waited until every soldier was on their horse before beginning at full speed ahead being highly aware of her wife that was holding on tightly to her waist.
"Here this is it," Blue said handing Rumple a small potion bottle with the two hairs.
"Ahh yes, how kind of you, you are actually right on time but I suggest you hurry and leave because it's about to start." Rumple said with a smirk.
Blue looked at him with a judgement in her eyes, though she didn't have any room to judge she just made a deal with one of the darkest magic Wielders alive for what she thought was for the sake of good. Oh how wrong she was.
Once blue left rumple looked at the large body mirror on the other side of the room knowing his ex lover was there hiding.
"C'mon out dearie you know me better than that," rumple said flashing his nasty grin as Cora walked out of the body mirror.
"What the hell are you brewing? I thought you were trying to have a relationship with her," Cora spat.
"Oh I do intend to have a relationship with my daughter, one that would never perish." He said with a smile adding the hairs into the boiling cauldron.
"Is that-"
"Yes it is dearie and I plan to make us a family no one but us would have the memories of what actually happened but with this I can find my son and still have the family I've always wished for," he said looking at Cora.
Emma stopped her horse and she thought they were close enough. She threw her hand up, halting the soldiers, "this is close enough," Emma whispered, getting off her horse and holding out her hands for Regina.
"Where's Mal she should be back by now?" Regina asked. As soon as the words left her lips the dragon appeared in her human form.
"Sorry I took a rest, but they haven't been sitting there long. They haven't made any move to attack but I can sense the murderous intent rolling off of snow so no talking would get past her." Mal explained looking at the king and queen watching them take in the information.
"And do you have any messages from Ruby and Mulan?" Emma questioned.
"Yes they are making their move here and should
be here shortly, but she also said that the archers are ready to strike on your command and Mulan said that the bombs have been planted." Mal explained.
"Bombs?" Regina questioned looking at Emma.
"Yes once your control of their soldiers is released they will go off if need be" Emma explained.
"What the hell is wrong with you!" Regina yelled.
"With those they could kill a large group of our men also, remember it will be close combat killing them with bombs could kill them with the bombs also Emma," Regina said not letting Emma get a word in.
"I know Regina that's why I said if needed, you need to calm down your stressing." Emma said looking down at her wife.
"They wish to speak," Mal said, shocked.
"How do you know?" Emma asked, looking at the dragon.
"I have very sharp hearing," mal said. Emma looked at Regina who gave her a silent nod of agreement. Regina grabbed Emma's hand and then disappeared in a cloud of red and purple smoke. They appeared in front of Snow and David and Regina was having a bit trouble controlling the urge to wring Snow's neck. Emma squeezed her hand, calming her somewhat.
"So what did you want to discuss, if it isn't surrendering then we don't want to hear it," Emma said coldly looking at her mother, while Regina stood silently beside her husband.
"you married her!" Snow yelled, turning pale at the sight of the joined hands.
"Sometimes snow I wonder if you were just born ignorant." Regina sighed in irritation. "But if that's all you've called us here to discuss I'm afraid we must begin because this is pointless. With that being said-"
"No that's not why we wanted to talk," David said, cutting Regina off while putting an emphasis on the WE.
"Emma we don't want to go to war I-"
"Oh we're going to war I can't believe it, but I will not allow my daughter to marry such filth, at that father a basta-"
"and this is where the conversation ends. You will not speak about my wife or children in such a dehumanizing manner. So as my WIFE was saying let the war begin," Emma said, making them disappear in a cloud of red smoke this time Mal was gone while Ruby and Mulan seemed to take her place.
Emma could feel Regina's anger. It was almost fueling her she was just as pissed but there was no going back now.
"Remember boys when we walk off the battlegrounds we will be the victors!" Emma yelled, throwing her fist in the air as the soldiers cheered for their king.
"On my mark!" Emma yelled. Emma looked at Regina giving her the go. Emma shot her hand forward sending the army of soldiers into battle.
"Now Gina do it now!" Emma yelled over the screams and cries of death and war.
Regina nodded, relaxing her limbs she lifted her hands in the air letting her magic flow and attached to every white kingdom crest she could get her hands on. Emma could see some of snow and David's soldiers turning on each other and killing each other.
"Now!" Emma screamed, and the archers released their arrows from the trees. Five minutes all we have is five minutes, Emma thought as she dug her sword in a knight's chest.
Cora then appeared beside Regina using her magic to blast away any of the white kingdoms soldiers that had gotten too close to her daughter.
"Something isn't right!" Regina yelled her magic faltering. Regina gritted her teeth pushing for what little energy she could grasp on. "Some type of magic is approaching," Regina yelled as a vision threatens to take over her sight.
It's been longer than five minutes yet I still feel Regina's magic,
At that thought Emma looked over to see Regina still controlling as many of the enemy soldiers as she could, then she saw the blood but instead of her leg it was coming out of her nose.
"Regina that's enough!" Cora yelled but her daughter was far gone, her eyes were no longer brown, they were silver.
Emma released her magic around her killing a handful of white kingdom soldiers before making her way to Regina.
"Regina stop!" Emma yelled, releasing her magic letting it surround Regina. Emma could feel her magic collide with the queen, whatever was happening regina's magic was acting as a defense.
"She's too late," rumple said, appearing beside her snapping a soldier's neck as he charged at them.
"What the hell did you do?!" Emma growled.
"I've done nothing but speed up our journey to a new realm of course, but to finish I do need the last ingredient," he said, pulling out a viel and collecting her magic but only a small portion.
Then he disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.
Emma stood in front of her wife shaking her and yelling her name until the brown orbs replaced the silver.
"Emma?" Regina asked her ears ringing as an arrow flew past her hitting a white kingdom soldier right in the chest.
"Are you alright?" Emma asked, looking Regina over with worried eyes.
"I'm fine," Regina lied as a wave of dizziness passed over her, she released a breath licking her lips tasting blood. She immediately moved, touching the blood.
"Emma it's a curse, we need to leave, that's why he needed me. He needed me to cast the curse but for that to happen I was supposed to be heartless, so the only other way was to use my magic to basically fuel it." Regina explained.
"Can we stop it?" Emma asked as Cora stepped in front of the casting a protection spell.
"No, you can't leave Emma" Regina said with tears in her eyes.
"I have to stay here and fight, you need to go back to Sam," Emma whispered, kissing Regina on her temple.
"I'm fine let me help you!" Regina yelled as Ruby shifted into her wolf form and stood beside her.
"You and I both know you're not fine, and I'll be damned watching you die out here along with our children now go Regina go back to our son please," Emma said.
"I'm in labor," Regina said, tears fallin upon her cheeks. "I can't do it without you," Regina cried.
"You have to, you have to make sure they are safe, I'll come back I promise Regina." Emma whispered looking at Mulan and Ruby giving them the look that said nothing better not happen to her.
"She'll be fine," Mulan said after Emma helped Regina on her horse.
"Please make sure it stays that way." Emma whispered as Mulan rode away with Regina clinging to her waist while Ruby led the way ahead.
Emma turned around forcing herself to push down the feeling to go after them but she had to fight, this was their kingdom.
Mulan got off the horse but Regina could barely hold herself up. She was in pain and emotionally unstable, it was too much. She couldn't deliver their children without Emma by her side. She needed Emma.
"I can't," Regina whimpered as her legs gave out, Ruby caught her with a worried look over her shoulder to Mulan.
"We need to get her inside. I can smell blood somewhere on her," Ruby said while trying to quickly carry her sister inside the castle without hurting her more.
"What happened?!" Belle asked as soon as they walked through the doors with Regina in her arms barely conscious.
"She overdid it but not on purpose, she had a vision, something about a curse approaching then she said she went into labor and Emma told us to bring her here as planned." Ruby explained as they climbed the stairs to Regina's bedroom.
When they walked in, Granny was in the room yelling at the maids who were preparing the bed and the handmaiden who was setting up her station.
"How did Granny know she was-"
"Granny told me as soon as they left, she said she could smell something was off with her, and as soon as she went in their room she said she smelled their scent and knew it was time." Belle explained cutting her off.
Ruby hurried and placed her sister on the bed and as soon as she moved away the maids went to work removing Regina's fitted dress and replacing it with a gown.
"Alright every one step back!" Granny said as she started cleaning the blood from Regina's leg.
"Mother!" Regina cried out as a contraction shot through her body making her fingers grasp at the sheets.
"Shh. I'm right here," granny said, taking a cold towel and placing it on her forehead.
"Emma, I can't-" Regina sobbed.
"Yes you can, you understand me she's counting on you," Granny said, placing a strand of Regina's hair behind her ear.
"It's almost time for her to push," the midwife said looking up at granny.
"Alright," granny nodded, grabbing Regina's hand as the queen started to panic. "Belle, get Sam please," granny said.
David and snow watched Emma and Reginas soldiers charge toward their army. David sent their army forth and held back with snow watching.
"Somethings wrong," Snow said standing beside him.
"What's wrong?" David asked, confused.
"Look at Regina," she said, watching David take a look at the queen. They watched as a large group of their soldiers, what looked like a couple hundred turned on eachother killing one another.
"What the hell is she doing?"
"Yes, I think she is controlling them," snow said, shocked. Snow turned to blue who appeared minutes before but she didn't look shocked; she looked amused.
"I have a group heading towards their castle as we speak." Blue said.
"What why?" David said, looking at the fairy.
"We're going to make sure Emma doesn't get to her." Blue said with a smirk.
Regina cried out squeezing her mother's hand as the contractions ripped through her body.
"She needs to push," the midwife instructed.
"I c-can't," Regina said between pants of breath as a layer of sweat covered her skin.
"You can and you will," Granny said looking at Regina while Sam watched his mother worriedly.
"Mommy, the babies coming?" Sam asked, looking in his mother's eyes.
"..yes, are you ready to be a big brother?" Regina asked her son to keep her mind from wandering to her husband.
"You can do it mommy, daddy said you can do anything you wanted if you weren't so stubborn, whatever that means." Sam explained making Regina laugh for the first time in the last couple days.
"You really think so?" Regina asked, looking at their son.
"Mmhm." He said with a smile.
Regina turned towards her mother's gripping her hand as a contraction struck through her body.
"Push!" The midwife yelled.
Regina gripped granny's hand releasing a scream of pain as she pushed as hard as she could. "Alright stop!" She yelled letting Regina collapse against the pillows.
"He's crowning!" She yelled as a maid stood behind her. "Just try to relax," the midwife said, looking up at granny. "Alright, Regina give me one push." Regina tried to but she couldn't gain the strength to do it. "Come on Regina, just one more push and you get to see your baby boy." The midwife said, trying to encourage her. "I-I can't." Regina cried. She wanted to see her son but even with Granny, her midwife, and Sam she still felt alone. Without Emma there to comfort her she felt alone. "Ready I need you to push now we might lose him." The midwife urged. Regina felt her energy slipping away from her until she felt someone grab her hand.
"Baby look at me." Regina looked up to see Emma with tears in her eyes. "Emma you're here but why? Our men need you." Emma gave Regina a kiss and moved her hair out of her face. "I told you my love for you and our family is stronger than my hate for Snow. There's no way in hell I'm going to let her get in the way of me seeing my wife give birth to my kids. Now baby I need you to push please push." Emma pleaded. Regina took a deep breath and began to push. "Ahhh!" Regina screamed as she could feel the baby come out. After a few more minutes a cry filled the room stopping Regina's screams. The cry of a baby, their baby.
The midwife wrapped Henry in a little blanket that Granny had made. She put him on Regina's chest stopping his cries as the sound of her heartbeat calmed him down. "He has your cute little nose, Gina. Look at our beautiful little boy." Emma said admiring their newborn son. "That's my little brother?" Sam asked with a smile on his face. "Of course buddy," Emma says, giving Sam a closer look at Henry.
"He's small," Sam said looking at Henry. "That's why he's your little bro-ahh!" Regina groaned. Emma gave Henry to Granny to hold so she could go back to her wife. "Now it's time for your little sister to come." Emma Told Sam as she held Regina's hand. It only took two pushes for their baby girl to come into the world. "Hey sweetheart you couldn't wait to come out," Emma said, rocking Elizabeth.
"They both have your eyes, Emma." Emma looks at the babies and then her wife. "They sure do." Emma said with a proud grin. Emma could see the color slowly returning to her wife's skin which meant her magic was healing her no doubt.
"The border," Regina said looking at Emma.
"What?-" but then Emma felt it. Multiple beings entering through the border no doubt using the mermaids ink. "Shit!" Emma said.
"Ruby, come with me Mulan, stay here. Tink!" Emma yelled as the fairy appeared.
"Yes," she said, appearing before her.
"Need you to stay here with Regina, and the babies once Regina is healed enough to where teleporting her wouldn't hurt her get them out of here do you understand!" Emma said as the fairy nodded her head vigorously. "Ok," Emma sighed, kissing the twins on their heads then doing the same to her wife and oldest son.
"I love you," Emma whispered, kissing Regina on the lips before bending down before her son. "Sam something bad is about to happen ok, and I need you to take care of your mommy and your siblings for me ok." Regina said, looking into her son's watery eyes. "Hey, don't cry, big boys don't cry, especially not knights." Emma said, watching as their son quickly wiped his tears. "Now, be a big boy for daddy?" Emma said standing up.
"ok," Sam said, hugging her tightly.
"Alright kid I gotta go," Emma said, breaking away from her son.
"Emma!" Regina called tears spilling down her cheeks. "I love you," Regina sobbed. Emma smiled softly before leaving the room with Ruby who changed into her wolf form. Emma could see the big black clouds eating away quickly at any and everything.
"There's no stopping the curse, we just have to make sure they don't get to our family!" Emma yelled.
Regina held the twins as they slept in her arms and Sam sat next to her not taking his eyes off of them nor her. "Tink, go help Emma and Ruby." Regina said.
"She wants me to stay here with you so that is what I'll do," tink said, her hand gripping her wand. Granny looked at the tired queen Infront of her then looked out to the balcony where the dark clouds were quickly approaching.
"Where's Emma!" Mal yelled as she appeared in a cloud of purple smoke, parts of her dress in shreds.
"Snow sent a group here for Regina and Emma along with Ruby are currently trying to hold them off." Granny said, looking back at the dark clouds that were getting closer and closer.
"It's a trap, that bitch is going to tear them apart!" Mal roared.
"We know but Emma is confident she will be able to find us," Regina said tiredly from the bed, Mal turned towards her at the sound of her voice.
"Oh my- they're beautiful," Mal said softly looking down at the green eyed twins.
"How much time?" Regina asked, looking up at the dragon.
"5 minutes at the most." Mal estimated.
Emma swung her sword beheading a Knight of snow army then turned pointing the sword at the blue fairies neck.
"What the hell did you do?" Emma growled.
"Oh I didn't do anything, it was all the dark ones idea I just provided a little help." Blue said with a smirk.
"Yeah well I hope that help was worth your death wish," Emma growled but before she could do anything more blue dust was blown into her face. "What the hell was that!" Emma screamed. Just a little something that should keep your heart bleeding for a longtime,``Blue said and at That Emma swung her sword cutting the fairies head clean off and damn it felt good.
But it was too late the curse was here.
