A/N: Here's the next chapter, I hope you all enjoyed the last one. Must've been a good teaser for Galactus, huh? Yes, it's confirmed, Galactus will be the endgame (and final) villain for this series. I have to warn you, this series will be pretty long, it'll be a while before I get to Galactus. Don't worry! I have many interesting villains for the other stories in this series. Enough talk! Let's begin!
Response to reviews:
Chloe (Guest): Thanks, glad you liked the Galactus teaser.
Bankai777: Bruh, are you so obsessed with Barry meeting Black Panther? You literally asked me the exact same thing on my other story Heroes of The Multiverse: The Scarlet Speedster. No, Barry will not be meeting Black Panther, not in this story at least.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Base (The Playground)
Night
"...hey guys." a familiar voice said.
Daisy, Coulson and the rest of the team turned around to see Barry, standing at the doorway to the previous ceremony room. He had removed his blazer as he held it in his hand and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows.
"Barry, where've you been?" Simmons asked.
"Oh," Barry said lazily. "Just had to check something back at the Flashcave."
"The Flashcave?" Hunter said, confused.
"It's what he calls his base of operations." Daisy explained.
"Huh," Coulson said. "Flashcave, could be better."
"It's what I came up with at the time," Barry said. "So, any orders from the director?"
"Oh, he's everyone to rest." Bobbi said. "We have to be up by 0400 hours tomorrow."
Mack attempted to explain. "That means-"
"4 am in the morning," Barry interrupted. "I got it."
"Alright, well, everyone," Coulson said. "I guess we'll see you in the morning."
Everyone then dispersed from the room except for Barry and Daisy, both of whom were still in the room. The two simply stood together, in silence, looking at each other.
"So..." Daisy said, trying to break the rather awkward tension between her and Barry. "...congrats on being S.H.I.E.L.D. agent."
"Yeah, you too," Barry said. "Just not so sure we're gonna be working so well with all the rules and regulations."
"That makes two of us."
"Yeah."
Barry and Daisy then remained in silence once more as they awkwardly stood in the room, unsure of what to say to each other.
"Well, uh..." Barry began. "Good night."
"Good night." Daisy replied.
The two then turned around, facing opposite directions and left the ceremony room. Barry reached the doorway as he stood beside and sighed deeply in relief, taking in a deep breath. On her side of the doorway, Daisy did the same. They both knew that their previous moment was rather awkward and it was best not to think about it. Daisy headed to her room where she went straight to bed. Barry, on the other hand, was headed towards the Zephyr One. He walked down the halls of the Playground, before heading into the large, massive hangar room. Barry was a little taken back by what he was seeing, the multiple planes in the hangar were rather impressive. There were very few people in the hangar room, some were still working late even after the Director's announcement. Barry walked up the Zephyr One, entering the large plane as he walked through the rooms of it. He eventually found the lab, walking in as he stopped in by the table.
Then, Barry pulled out one of the computers as he plugged in a hard drive. The hard drive went in, perfectly fitting into the slot.
"Gideon," Barry said, tapping his ear.
"Yes, Barry Allen?" Gideon's voice echoed through his ear.
"Run every single search through every security camera in the country," Barry said. "Find Alchemy, we have to find him before Savitar comes to this earth."
"Understood," Gideon replied. "Running search algorithm."
"Good, don't stop 'til you find him and when you do, let me know."
"Will you not be sleeping, Barry Allen?"
"No, I won't be."
"Are you sure? You have been awake for eighty four hours, you could rest. I'll wake you when I get results if you like."
"Appreciate the offer, Gideon but no thanks. I have to be awake."
"Of course, Barry Allen."
Gideon started the search algorithm for Alchemy, Barry eventually programmed Gideon to search for the Philosopher's Stone. If they couldn't find Alchemy, they could at least track him with the Stone, it would've been sending out powerful energy waves that could've easily been tracked. However, by the looks of it, Alchemy had probably prepared for that, seeing as how Barry went the entire night without a result. As Gideon was running the search algorithm, Barry was running tests with some of the old V-9 (Velocity Nine) speed drugs that he brought from Earth 1. Barry had a theory that Savitar's speed came from the V-9 drugs and so, Barry decided to run some tests and try to determine a result. He did, however, end up having to work through the night but it was fine with him. It wasn't like he hadn't done it before.
Midnight
3:47 am
Elsewhere
In an abandoned warehouse, Alchemy and many members of the Cult of Savitar stood in a room, circling themselves around some device. The Cult members were curious as to what the device was. The device was shaped like a sort of weapon, like some bazooka weapon from Star Wars. The Cult members weren't sure what this device was or even why they cared about it in the first place. Alchemy had insisted that the device was important but that didn't stop the Cult from asking certain questions, regarding the device.
"What is this?" one Cult member asked.
"This..." Alchemy said, raising his hands as he walked in circles, around the machinery. "...is the instrument of Savitar's liberation. With this, we will liberate him from the prison that he has been forced to be trapped and silenced in."
The Cult members cheered with joy before their cheers eventually died down.
"Now," Alchemy said. "We free the God of Speed and we will punish this world with his wrath!"
The Cult members cheered once more, raising their fists in the air. Soon, Savitar would be free and this world would have never been the same.
The Playground (S.H.I.E.L.D. Base)
"You're up early."
Barry turned away from the lab desk to see Jeffrey Mace at the doorway to the lab. Mace had already freshened up and gotten dressed into another business suit, he did say he wanted the team up by 0400 hours but he was fifteen minutes early. It made sense to Barry, the leader always had to be early to a meeting. Barry was never one to be early, or to be one time, he was one to be late. That was something that Barry wanted to change, he swore he would never be late again. Even with all his power and speed, Barry had a problem being on time. It was weird and it disgusted him but Barry managed not to have that problem as much anymore. Barry gave Mace his undivided attention as he spoke.
"Actually," Barry said. "I've always been up, didn't sleep. Couldn't sleep."
"Nightmares?" Mace guessed.
"Work," Barry replied. "I've been trying to get a location on Alchemy with Gideon but for the past few hours I've gotten nothing."
"Who's Gideon?"
"My personal A.I. from well over a century into the future."
Mace's eyes grew large in shock. "An A.I.? Barry, you're an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and you're violating the Sokovia Accords by using an advanced A.I. Haven't you heard of Ultron."
"For the record," Barry explained. "One: Gideon wouldn't betray me, she's been working for me for three years in my eyes but in hers, she's been working for me for as long as a century."
"I don't understand." Mace said as Barry shook his head.
"She's not Ultron and she never will be."
"Well, let's hope so."
"What's going on here?" a female voice said.
Barry and Mace turned to see Simmons, Daisy, Bobbi, Fitz, Mack, May, Hunter and Coulson by the entrance of the Zephyr One. The group appeared to have just arrived, meaning that they couldn't have heard any part of Barry and Mace's conversation.
"Agent Allen and I were just having a friendly conversation." Mace assured.
"Yeah, that's all." Barry agreed.
"Barry Allen." Gideon called out as all the agents looked around the Zephyr One in shock.
"What was that?" Fitz asked.
Barry held a small sort of chip in his hand as he clicked a small button on it. Then, out of nowhere, a blue, three-dimensional, holographic head emerged from the chip. The agents reeled back in shock.
"What the hell is that?" May demanded.
"Guys, meet Gideon." Barry said.
"Is that...A.I.?" Simmons asked.
"Yes, it is." Fitz said in awe as he walked up to the A.I.
"Good evening, Dr. Fitz." Gideon said.
Fitz' eyes grew large. "You know who I am?"
"Of course," Gideon said. "Leopold Fitz, Head of Science and Technology Division, former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D."
"Director?" Daisy asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Gideon's an A.I. from the future," Barry explained. "Her knowledge is updated as far as a century into the future."
"So at some point in the future..." Mace began. "...Agent Fitz replaces me as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"Guess so." Mack said.
"Don't Sokovia Accords outlaw A.I., even this kind?" Bobbi asked.
"I've had Gideon with me since long before those Accords were even an idea," Barry pointed out. "It stays with me, no exceptions."
"Barry," Simmons said. "It was problems like this that led to Ultron."
"Gideon's been working for me for more than a century," Barry argued as everyone raised their eyebrows in surprise. "I'd know if she'd end up becoming Lady Ultron."
"I'm sure we can find a way to work this out." Mace said. "As I said-"
"A team that trusts is a team that triumphs, we got it the first million times, Director." Hunter said.
Mace nodded as the agents separated, walking all over the Zephyr One. Fitz and Simmons decided to help Barry try and gain a location on Alchemy and the Cult of Savitar. Daisy was just watching Barry work with FitzSimmons, staring at him in awe. She was so absorbed into what Barry was doing that she barely noticed Mack coming behind her.
"Watching someone?" Mack asked as Daisy turned around and faced him.
"No, why?" Daisy said quickly. "I'm not watching anyone? Why would I be watching someone?"
"Maybe someone you like." Mack grinned.
"Lose the grin, Mack, I don't know what you're talking about."
"I'm talking about you, Tremors and a certain speedster you've got feelings for."
Daisy blushed. "I don't have any feelings for Barry, he's just my friend."
"Hmm." Mack hummed.
Then, Daisy's face dropped to a serious look. All jokes and any humor in the conversation was put aside.
"Is it really that obvious?" Daisy asked.
"Honestly, the way you look at him," Mack said. "The way you act around him, the way you talk about him...yeah, it is pretty obvious."
Daisy nodded her head.
"Why don't you tell him how you feel?" Mack asked.
"I can't, Mack." Daisy replied.
"Why not?" Mack shot back.
"Because he loves Iris," Daisy said. "Not me. He doesn't have any sort of feelings for me."
"You're never gonna know if you never find out."
"Should I really tell him?"
"Yeah," Mack said. "because even if he doesn't feel the same way. It's better than living out the rest of your life in regret."
Daisy nodded as she turned her head to face Barry, watching him carefully. She did love Barry, she had feelings for him that couldn't have been matched by Miles, Ward or even Lincoln. Those feelings couldn't have been matched by anyone she ever loved...but Barry didn't feel the same way. Daisy knew it and she saw it, Barry only thought of Daisy as a friend, not anything less or anything more. Then, Barry suddenly received a notification.
"Barry Allen," Gideon said, her holographic, blue, three-dimensional head emerging from the chip in Barry's hand. "I've detected a location on Alchemy."
"Where is he?" Barry asked.
"An abandoned warehouse outside the city."
Barry looked up at the team.
"I'll assemble a team," Mace said. "I'm coming too."
"Why?" Barry asked.
"He's an Inhuman, super strength." May explained.
"That really seems to be a common theme, huh?" Barry asked rhetorically.
"Suit up, we get to this location in five." Mace ordered. "Barry, Daisy, you two are with us as well."
"Got it." Barry and Daisy said simultaneously.
"Let's move out." Mace said.
The team separated as they all went ahead to suit up, getting ready for their battle with Alchemy and the Cult of Savitar. Barry couldn't help but have a not-very-good feeling about this, something felt wrong, this felt like it was going to be too easy. There had to be something more, a missing variable, something that didn't fit in. Barry tried his best to ignore this feeling as he got into his Flash suit and snuck out of the base, getting to the location first before the S.H.I.E.L.D. team would.
Elsewhere in New York City
A S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjet flew through the air before slowing down as it began it's descent onto the road right outside the warehouse. The Quinjet landed with the gears and wheels intact it's hangar door swung open. Behind the hangar door, Jeffrey Mace (otherwise known as The Patriot), Daisy Johnson (aka Quake), Melinda May, Phil Coulson, Alphonso Mackenzie, Bobbi Morse, Lance Hunter and thirteen other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who joined them. The agents exited the hangar door as they immediately spotted the warehouse near them. It seemed abandoned, though, clearly, it wasn't, seeing as how Alchemy and the Cult of Savitar were hiding there. The agents closed in on the warehouse.
"So," Daisy said. "This is where Barry tracked Alchemy and the Cult?"
"Yeah it is." Fitz said on a communications link to Daisy and the agents.
"Allen really pulled some miracle, huh?" James Davis said.
"For a new guy, he's pretty impressive." Piper added.
"Where's our speedy friend?" Mack asked, loading his 'shotgun axe'.
"Behind you." a dark, modulated voice said.
Every one of the agents except for May jumped back, startled in shock as they noticed the black, metal armored speedster behind them.
"God!" Hunter cried out. "Don't do that!"
"Flash," Mace greeted. "Glad you could join us."
"Is he with us?" Piper asked.
"Pretty sure he is." Coulson replied.
"Thought he was a lawless vigilante." one S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
"Boy, shut up, this guy's the most badass superhero I've ever seen." another agent argued.
"Enough talk," Flash ordered. "I've circled the entire area within a fifty mile radius. Nothing else."
"How'd you do that so quickly?" Davis asked. "It took us like a few minutes to get here, not even five."
"I'm The Flash." Flash said simply.
"And that explains how you can do these kinds of things?" May asked.
"It should." Flash replied.
"Well," Bobbi said. "I say we stop beating around the bush and just do this."
"Everyone," Mace called out. "On-"
"On my lead." Flash interrupted as he slowly walked forward, all the thirteen agents immediately followed him.
Daisy, Coulson, May, Bobbi, Hunter, Mack and Mace (especially Mace) all stared at Flash in surprise. The agents followed him without any hesitation whatsoever and they didn't even think of questioning him.
"They're really just following him like that?" Mace asked, a hint of jealousy in the Director's voice.
"It's like he said," Daisy replied. "He's The Flash."
"That can't be the reason, Daisy." Simmons said from the other side of the communications link.
"It can be." Hunter said.
"Because he's The Flash." Bobbi added.
"Alright, let's go in." Mace ordered as he and the remaining agents.
Mace, Coulson, May, Daisy, Bobbi, Hunter and Mack followed the rest of the agents as they all came up to the door of the warehouse. The agents split themselves evenly on the left and right side of the door, against the warehouse wall as Flash and Daisy stood behind the agents, ready to attack anything that was behind the doors. Daisy held her hand up, ready to quake if necessary as Flash simply stood alert, scanning the door with his full focus. Then, one of the agents kicked the door as it fell open. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents rained through the door as Flash and Daisy followed behind them. They all entered the door and on their right they spotted Alchemy, some members of the Cult and even certain men in military clothing armed with machine guns.
"The Watchdogs." Daisy breathed in shock.
"They're working with Alchemy and the Cult," Flash explained. "It's how Ivanov knows who I am."
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and the Watchdogs remained at a standstill, neither one firing on the other as neither side wanted to start a fight, not yet at least. From the crowd of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Flash walked forward, standing in front of the agents as Daisy stood behind him. He eyed Alchemy suspiciously, the cloaked man was on knees, bowing but not to him. To Savitar, or so, that's what Alchemy thought and believed.
"Alchemy." Flash gritted his teeth.
"Flash," Alchemy said. "I'm so glad you received my invitation."
"You knew I was coming?"
"Indeed. We knew that all of you were coming."
"How's that?" Mace asked.
"Savitar," Alchemy answered. "He sees all, knows all and is all. He is our guide, our master, our God."
"Conspiracy theories, nice." Coulson said.
"Watch your tone, carefully, Phil Coulson," Alchemy demanded, raising his voice. "The God of Speed will punish you for your arrogance. He will punish all of you, mark my words. He knows everything about you, your greatest regrets..." Alchemy faced May. "Bahrain."
May had a saddened and guilty look on her face as Alchemy continued, turning his head to Daisy.
"The death of Lincoln Campbell." Alchemy stated.
Daisy looked down in guilt, memories of Lincoln flashing through her mind as she tightly clenched her fists, the entire warehouse shaking lightly with a 2.4 earthquake on the Richter scale. Flash noticed this as he extended his hand and placed it on top of Daisy's, giving it a good squeeze. Daisy immediately calmed down at Flash's touch. Alchemy continued with his words as he turned to Coulson.
"Joining S.H.I.E.L.D." Alchemy said before turning to Mack. "Hope."
Mack's eyes grew large as his jaw dropped in shock. How did Alchemy know that name? How did he know about her? How did he know about Hope? Alchemy turned to Mace.
"Not being a real hero." Alchemy said as Mace had a dark look on his face. Alchemy then turned his head to Flash. "And then there's you. You, Flash. Your regret is defined by the very thing that makes you incorruptible, the very thing that separates you from us: your code, the code of no killing. The people you've murdered by letting murderous psychopaths like Eobard Thawne live."
"The only regret I'm going to have is not killing you right here, on the spot." Flash gritted.
"If you ever had the strength to end my life," Alchemy began. "you would've already done so, but The Flash doesn't kill. He has a rule. the rule of no killing, a line he will never cross. So, go on, arrest us only for all of us to break out and continue killing more innocents. More blood on your hands, more deaths on your conscience, al because you don't want blood on your hands-"
"Shut up!" Flash yelled, throwing a right hook at Alchemy as the cloaked man went down to his side.
Flash growled like an animal as he restrained himself, standing over Alchemy, who beneath his mask was grinning.
"What?" Flash demanded. "What's so funny?"
"You don't understand, do you?" Alchemy said as Flash's eyes grew large under his helmet, the realization striking him.
"It's a trap." He muttered under his breath.
Suddenly, from the corner of the warehouse, a blue portal opened as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and the Watchdogs all stared at it in shock and horror. Alchemy and the Cult, however, were smiling with pride. From the portal, a pair of metal-armored, hulk-sized arms stretched out, grabbing the ends of the portal and pulling on them. A metal head emerged from it, it's eyes glowing blue as Flash stared at it in horror. Savitar. He realized. And everyone else can see him too. Savitar then pushed himself out of the portal, revealing half of his metal-armored, hulk-armored body. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents then turned their guns to Savitar, who was easily escaping the portal he appeared to be trapped in. Savitar then pulled his legs out of the portal, fully revealing his hulk-like, metal armored body as the portal behind him closed. Everyone in the room stared in shock. Savitar's grey, metal armor glowed blue as well as his eyes. He got onto his knees, raising his arms in the air victoriously.
"I'm free!" Savitar declared in his raspy, metallic voice.
"Is that-" Daisy tried to ask.
"Savitar," Flash answered. "Everyone get Alchemy and the Watchdogs! Savitar's mine."
Flash then charged at Savitar with super speed, jumping in the air as he tried to throw a punch at him. However, Savitar rose to his feet to meet Flash's punch as he grabbed him by the neck as he held him in the air.
"We never finished our run, did we?" Savitar growled.
He then raced out the room in a flash of white lightning, running much faster than Flash could, as he ran out of the warehouse with The Flash.
"Flash!" Daisy cried.
Suddenly, a knife hit Daisy in the shoulder as she fell to the ground, crying out in pain. The S.H.I.E.L.D. then turned to see the Watchdogs armed with machine guns and the Cult members armed with two knives each. Save for one of the members, seemingly the one who had hit Daisy with the knife. Daisy then raised her hand and quaked away half the entire force, thanks to the Quake gauntlets Fitz had made for her, her arms no longer broke whenever she did so. Daisy pulled the knife out of her shoulder, the fight beginning as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents all charged at the rest of the remaining Watchdogs and Cult members. Daisy charged into a fist fight, single handedly taking out multiple Cult members, disarming them and knocking them out without using her powers. May, Bobbi, Coulson, Mack and all the other agents began taking out the other Cult members and Watchdogs.
"Where's Flash?" May said, doing a turning hook kick at a Watchdog's jaw.
"I don't know," Bobbi said, disarming another Watchdog before knocking them out with her two batons. "Savitar has him."
Then, Daisy sent quakes throughout the entire warehouse, knocking out the Watchdogs and the Cult members. Mace and the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. all stared at Daisy in surprise.
"Then, let's go get him back." Daisy said, blowing a strand of her hair off her face.
Far from the warehouse, Savitar abruptly stopped running near another warehouse as he threw Flash far from him like a toy. Flash crashed into a wooden crate, breaking it into pieces as he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Flash angrily got onto his feet as he threw himself at Savitar, rushing at him with everything he could. Savitar skidded to the right before shoving Flash off his feet as the Scarlet Speedster fell onto his side. Savitar then kneeled over Flash as he threw his strongest punch at the speedster's head. Flash's head was jerked to the right as the right side of his helmet broke. Savitar picked Flash up by his leg as he threw him at a wall of the warehouse, sending the speedster flying. Flash crashed through the wall as he fell onto the ground inside the warehouse. Dazed by the hit, Flash crawled onto his elbows and knees as he slowly rose to his feet. He limped, having still been dazed by Savitar's attack.
Then, a flash of white lightning hit him flat in the stomach as he was once again sent flying, landing on and skidding across the ground. Savitar then sped in, walking towards the injured speedster. Savitar then grabbed Flash by the throat before chucking him up to the ceiling like a plaything. Flash hit the ceiling as he was forced back down, falling towards the ground. Before he could fall to the ground, Savitar charged at the falling speedster with super speed, hitting him in the side. Flash was sent crashing through another wall in the warehouse as he fell into another room, laying on the ground face-flat. Flash tried to get up but Savitar grabbed the back of his head and pinned him to the ground. The God of Speed then forced Flash onto his feet before throwing a punch at Flash, breaking his helmet completely as it flew off his head, revealing the face of Barry Allen.
"All your training," Savitar taunted. "All your skill, all your power, your speed and you're still too weak to stop me. Though, in your defence, I am the God of Speed."
"You're not a god." Barry said, using his arm to wipe the blood from his mouth before simply spitting it out.
"Oh yes I am," Savitar said, raising his arms to shoulder level. "I am Judge, Jury and Executioner. I am Death. I am Hell. I am the God of Speed. I. Am Savitar!"
Barry angrily charged at Savitar, roaring with rage as he vibrated his body, shoving Savitar with all his force. Savitar stumbled back a few steps, eyeing Barry as he nodded his head.
"Not bad," Savitar admitted. "but not good enough."
"Shut the hell up and fight." Barry gritted, holding up his fists in sparring position.
Savitar and Barry charged at each other in two streaks of orange and white lightning. Barry then stopped in his tracks, keeping a stance as he threw a forward kick at Savitar. The God of Speed caught the kick, holding Barry's foot tightly as he swung him one eighty degrees before throwing Barry into a box of wooden crates. Barry crashed through the crates, breaking them to pieces as he fell to the ground face-flat, groaning in pain. He was heavily bruised, cut and bleeding. He could even feel some of his broken bones. Then, Savitar kneeled over Barry, turning the bruised and injured speedster onto his back as he began punching him. Savitar punched Barry with super speed, causing the Scarlet Speedster to spit out blood with each punch. After five punches, Savitar finally stopped, eyeing his work, noticing the beaten and bleeding Barry. Savitar rose to his feet as Barry rolled over to his stomach, weakened due to having been beaten to a pulp by an evil speed god. Barry got onto his elbows and knees as Savitar laughed.
"All those criminals that you beat to a pulp," Savitar said. "Now look at you. The tables have been turned, haven't they?"
Barry got into a kneeling position as he turned his head to Savitar, he spat blood out of his mouth as it landed in the ground. He slowly tried to get to his feet, when he finally did, he fell over as he leaned on one of the crates for support. Barry then forcefully pushed himself off the crate as he held his fists in the air, feeling sweat, bruises and cuts all over his face and the rest of his injuries all over his body.
"That's all you got?" Barry asked.
Then, white lightning coursed throughout Savitar's hulk-like, metal-armored body. The lightning completely covered his body as Barry starred in both awe and shock. Savitar roared as he unleashed all the white lightning at Barry, sending him crashing through the wall as he was sent flying out of the warehouse. Barry landed on the road-like ground twenty feet away from the warehouse, falling onto the road with his back to the road. Barry tried to get up but his injuries forced him to stay down as he let out a breath of surrender. His energy and his strength had been easily diminished by Savitar, he'd used up all his energy in his fight with Savitar and what was left wasn't even close to enough.
Barry wanted to die, not because of the physical pain from his injuries but the emotional and mental pain of sixteen years forced into him. His mother's death, Eddie's, Ronnie's, his father's, Flashpoint, Cisco and Caitlin turning on him. All of it together was too much for Barry, too much unbearable pain. Part of Barry was hoping he would fail, he kept holding back so that he would, he wanted to die. And here Savitar, the God of Speed, was ready to grant him his death wish. Savitar stood over Barry's as he forced the defeated speedster onto his back. Savitar then got onto his knees as he grabbed the collar of Barry's suit with his left hand and pulled Barry's head forward, getting a close-up look at Barry's bruised, cut and reddish face.
"I am Savitar," Savitar stated. "I could kill you in a second and if I wanted to, I would...but no, death would only silence your sins in the dusty winds of time. I must make you face your weakness...and in a dark, cold, cruel world…"
Savitar then drew a blade from his right hand before plunging it into Barry's stomach. Barry cried out in pain as Savitar released his collar, letting his head fall to the ground. Barry laid on the ground powerlessly, groaning in pain.
"...there is no room for weakness. Only the strongest, the most powerful and the best warriors can survive. Others will fail and die. Like you, but you need to live...long enough for me to make you suffer."
Barry groaned in pain as he tried to push Savitar's blade out of his body but his attempts were pointless against the God of Speed's practical super strength. Savitar then plunged the blade even further into Barry's stomach, almost impaling him to the ground, earning more cries of pain from the Scarlet Speedster. Savitar grabbed Barry by the collar once more with his left hand as he pulled his face close to his.
"Scream my name!" Savitar demanded. "Say it! Beg me for death! Beg for mercy! Say my name!"
"Never." Barry said weakly.
"Very well." Savitar replied.
Savitar released Barry's collar as he drew out his left blade. He lifted his blade in the air, ready to end this once and for all when suddenly, something stopped him.
"No!" a female voice cried.
Suddenly, a wave of vibrations flew through the air as they hit Savitar, breaking his right arm blade from the rest of his suit as he was sent tumbling across the ground. Barry turned his head to see Daisy and the rest of the agents standing near him. Daisy quickly ran over to Barry, kneeling beside him.
"Barry," Daisy called out, cupping his cheeks with her hands. "Barry, c'mon, stay with me. Barry."
Barry could feel himself losing consciousness as all the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stared at the unmasked and defeated Flash.
"Is that Allen?" Piper asked in shock.
"My god." Davis gasped.
May, Mack, Coulson, Hunter, Bobbi and Mace all circled around Barry.
"Simmons," Mace said, tapping the comm link in his ear. "Barry's injured. He needs immediate medical assistance, we're coming to you."
"Is he...unmasked?" Simmons asked through the comm link.
"It doesn't matter," Mace said. "He needs help. We're bringing him to you."
"Barry, hold on," Daisy begged, tears pouring from her eyes as she tightly held Barry's hand. "Just stay with me, okay. Stay with me."
Then, a few feet away, Savitar roared with anger, noticing his blade was cut off. He roared before running off into the night in a flash of white lightning at super speed. That was the last thing Barry remembered. He saw Daisy, Mace, Mack, Coulson, May, Bobbi and Hunter all circled around him, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents looking at him in shock. It was the last thing he remembered before the world around faded to black as he fell down, down and down from the ladder of consciousness.
