A/N: Let's get down to business. Also, I forgot to mention this. S.H.I.E.L.D. has already been reintroduced to the public, let's just say it happened during the two week time gap where Daisy and Barry were together in the mansion.

Response to reviews:

Chloe (Guest): Thank you. Glad you liked the last chapter.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Base

Night

"...so they're together?" a random S.H.I.E.L.D. asked, referring to Barry and Daisy.

"Yep," Piper said to the large crowd of S.H.I.E.L.D. "Saw 'em making out together."

"I never saw that coming." Davis sighed as he leaned against the side of the doorway to the living room.

"Those two were together the moment they came here." a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent said.

"They had chemistry then." another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent confirmed.

From the corner of the living room, Simmons and Fitz watched as Piper and Davis chatted with the large crowd of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, 'celebrating' Barry and Daisy's new relationship. The two scientists sighed with annoyance, they were happy for Barry and Daisy, of course they'd be happy for their friends. It was the hyper reaction from the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. that they were annoyed by.

"Honestly, they're like little children every time this happens." Simmons sighed.

"Yeah, tell me about it," Fitz agreed. "Do you know where they are?"

"I thought you knew." Simmons shot back.

Then, from the doorway-shaped entrance from the room, Barry and Daisy walked through, holding hands together. They had both changed from their clothes, Barry was wearing a grey, short-sleeved t-shirt and black pants, Daisy was wearing a black, long-sleeve t-shirt and black pants. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents all turned their attention to the couple as they all began exclaiming and yelling when Simmons stood between the crowd of agents and Barry and Daisy.

"Alright," Simmons ordered. "Give the couple their privacy."

The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents all groaned in disappointment as they slowly left the living room, group by group, leaving Simmons and Fitz alone with Barry and Daisy. The pair of scientists then turned to the couple.

"Congratulations." Simmons said, hugging Daisy as Barry shook hands with Fitz.

"Take care of her." Fitz said.

"I will." Barry promised.

"Also, Barry," Simmons said in a warning voice. "If you hurt her in any way, I'll kidnap you, experiment on your body and burn you alive in that order."

"I wouldn't hurt Daisy," Barry said with a small smile, holding his girlfriend's hand. "Ever."

"Good," Simmons said. "Then, you have nothing to worry about."

Then, the sounds of beeping interrupted the conversation between the two couples as Fitz pulled out a sort of pager from his pocket. There was a small light on the pager that was beeping red over and over again, Fitz knew what that meant as he turned to Simmons.

"They're back." Fitz said.

"The team?" Barry asked.

"Yeah, they just landed in the hangar room." Fitz said.

"We'll go check on it," Simmons insisted. "You two stay here, we'll take care of it."

Fitz and Simmons then left the room, their footsteps echoing through the hallways with light thumps before they could barely be heard. Daisy then grabbed Barry's hand and pulled him to the couch as they both sat next to each other. Daisy then rested her head on Barry's chest, wrapping her arms around his body. Barry took Daisy in his arms as the two rested together on the couch. Daisy was particularly clingy and cuddly whenever it came to Barry but he knew why, it wasn't just because of the fact that Barry had just been nearly beaten to death by Savitar but because of the fact that Daisy had lost so many people she cared about: her mother, her father, Tripp, Lincoln. After all that pain, all that suffering, Barry was all that Daisy had. Then, that's when the horrible thought struck him, Barry remembered what the Speed Force had said to him. Savitar had murdered Yo-yo and Barry hadn't told Daisy yet, he had to, he had to tell her the truth even if it killed him to hurt her like that. Daisy then noticed the dark, grim look on Barry's face as she sat up straight, holding both his hands with hers.

"Barry," Daisy said. "What is it?"

"Daisy," Barry began. "There's something I need to tell you."

"Okay, what is it?"

Barry cleared his throat as he spoke, "When I was in my subconscious, the Speed Force told me something. Something about Savitar."

"Did they tell you something about who he is or what?"

"No, not like that, more like something he did. Just now."

"What did he do?"

"He...Savitar, he...he killed Yo-yo."

Daisy's eyes widened in shock and horror. "What?"

"The Speed Force told me that Savitar killed Yo-yo."

"No." Daisy said, shaking her head in denial.

"Daisy." Barry breathed.

"Barry, no," Daisy said sternly, her voice trembling. "No, Savitar didn't do that. Yo-yo's alive, she and the team are going to be fine."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner."

"The Speed Force lied to you," Daisy said frantically, getting up on her feet and pacing around the room in panic. "They lied about something, anything."

Barry knew what was going on, Daisy was in denial. She was going through shock, she knew it was true but she didn't want to accept it, she couldn't. Barry got off the couch and onto his feet as he walked over to Daisy and held her shoulders.

"Daisy," Barry said. "The Speed Force didn't lie to me. They didn't lie about anything."

"There has to be something." Daisy said.

"Daisy-"

"I'm not losing anyone else!" Daisy yelled to the top of her lungs before calming down and speaking in a bare whisper. "I can't, I - I just can't."

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the hallways as Daisy and Barry turned to see Mack, Coulson, May, Mace, Hunter, Bobbi and Jay all came from the door. Barry stared at the sight of Jay in shock as his eyes widened, his jaw dropping to the point where he could've swallowed anything.

"Jay?" Barry asked.

"Barry," Jay said, walking up to the young speedster as the two shook hands. "Glad to see you on your feet, son."

"Yeah, what're you doing here?"

"Came to see you and help out your friends with Savitar." Jay said shakily.

"Hey guys," Daisy said. "Where's Yo-yo? Where's Joey? They running recon or something?"

Then, Mace and the other agents had saddened and guilty looks on their faces, Mack was on the verge of bursting into tears. Bobbi and Hunter exchanged uneasy looks at one another as Jay looked over to Barry and nodded negatively. Barry reeled back in shock, the Speed Force was right, Savitar had murdered Yo-yo. Daisy noticed the looks of everyone else in the room as she shakily asked them again.

"Guys," Daisy breathed shakily. "Where...is Yo-yo?"

Coulson was the first to do something as he walked up to Daisy and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm so sorry." he said in a bare whisper.

Tears began to form in Daisy's eyes as she whispered, "No. No, no, no, no. Please tell me Yo-yo's okay."

"Savitar…" Mace began. "...stabbed Yo-yo. He killed her...and then, he shattered Joey's spine. We tried to save him but..."

Mace trailed off, not wanting to go into details about the situation. At that point, Mack couldn't take it anymore as he left the room, walking out the doorway. Mace trailed after him, hoping to talk to Mack. Daisy had already burst into tears, her hand over her mouth as the tears poured out of her eyes. Barry reached his hand out to his girlfriend, placing his hand on her shoulder. Daisy threw herself onto Barry, wrapping her arms around and burying her head in his chest as she started bawling and sobbing. Barry glanced towards Coulson and May as he nodded to the both of them, the two left the room. Jay placed a hand on Barry's shoulder, giving it a tight grip before he left the room as well. Everyone else had already left the room, leaving Barry and Daisy alone with another as Daisy continued sobbing while Barry did his best to comfort her.

In the hospital wing, Simmons covered the rest of Yo-yo's body with the white wrap on it, next to Yo-yo's body was Joey's. Simmons then stepped back, tears rolling down her cheeks as she sniffed, the loss of her two friends hitting her harder than when Lincoln died. How many? How many of her friends had to die? How many good, loyal S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had to die in order to ensure that Savitar would be stopped? Why? Why did all the heroes, all the good people die? Simmons then felt a hand rest itself on her shoulder, she turned around and saw Fitz standing behind her. Simmons then broke as she swung herself towards him, wrapping her arms around him as she rested her head on his shoulder. Fitz rubbed Simmons' back as he whispered to her that it was okay, comforting her to the best of his ability.

In his shared room, Mack held a picture of Yo-yo as he looked down at it with a saddened look on his face. The picture slipped his hands as it fell to the floor, the glass breaking with ease. Mack dropped to his knees and slammed his fist onto the ground, hoping to shatter every single bone in his body as he let out a scream that echoed through the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. base. Mack then angrily got onto his feet as he went over to the bed, picking it up by the edge and flipping it over as it hit the wall, putting a sort of hole in it. Mack angrily went over to a desk and swept everything off of it, letting it all fall to ground and shatter as he picked the desk and chucked to the other side of the room. Mack then screamed as loud as he could, hoping to lose his voice as he fell to his knees, sobbing to himself, mourning the loss of the woman he loved.

In a different room, Bobbi was sitting next to Hunter, her head resting on his shoulder. She wasn't sleeping neither was Hunter, they were both awake, they couldn't sleep, not after what had happened. Hunter brushed his hand on Bobbi's arm softly and slowly, comforting her as much as he could. Usually, Bobbi wouldn't have always been leaning on Hunter so much (literally or emotionally) but with what was going on, she needed a shoulder to rest on. At that moment, Jay walked through the door, wearing normal clothes as he held a bottle of whiskey in one hand and three glasses in another. Jay didn't say anything, he simply walked over and sat across from the couple, placing the glasses on the table between them as he filled all of them halfway with the bottle of whiskey. Jay then placed the bottle of whiskey away as he took his glass, Hunter took his and even, Bobbi took one. The trio clanged glasses as they all drank from their glasses, they needed it, they needed something to distract them. Hunter and Bobbi took a sip from their glasses whereas Jay completely chugged up the half glass he gave himself before letting out a sigh, granted he was old but he was a speedster, his metabolism could handle it and right now, he really didn't care if it could or couldn't.

In a separate room within the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, Coulson was standing near a window, the same window he had been looking out through two months after Barry arrived on this earth as The Flash. He placed his hand on the side of the window, gazing out at the night, seeing all the cars and infrastructure's lights lighting up the nighttime city. With his other hand, Coulson tightly clenched his fist, anger flooding his body, rage burning inside him. Usually, Coulson could always control his emotion, no matter what they were but now, they were showing on him clear as day. The only time it was like that was when Rosalind died and even then, he had at least some form of control. From behind him, May slowly walked up towards Coulson and noticed his tightly clenched fist. May slowly reached her hand towards Coulson's fist, he un-balled his hand as May grabbed hold of it, she and Coulson holding hands tightly. May then placed her chin on Coulson's shoulder, resting her head on him. Coulson took the gesture of friendship, he needed it, she needed it, they both did. Coulson turned around to face May as the two gazed into one another's eyes, May moved her face closer to Coulson's, pressing her lips against his. Coulson took a small breath of shock but eased towards the kiss, placing his hand on May's cheek, feeling her soft skin against his warm one. They stood there in the room, kissing, hoping to heal one another while doing so.

In their new shared room, Barry and Daisy were currently laying in bed together, blankets rolled over their bodies. Daisy had her head buried in Barry's chest, her eyes red and bloodshot and her cheeks completely wet from crying, which she still was. Barry simply kept hugging Daisy, his arms wrapped around her body as he slowly rubbed her back. He wanted to be there for her, to always be the person she deserved, the one she needed and the one she wanted. Barry's thoughts were cut off as Daisy suddenly spoke.

"Why does everyone close to me die?" Daisy whispered as Barry turned his head, looking down at his girlfriend.

"What?" Barry asked.

"Barry," Daisy whispered. "Everything and everyone I touch dies: my mom, my dad, Tripp, Lincoln and now, Yo-yo. They all died because of me, I killed them. Their blood's on my hands."

"Stop," Barry said sternly. "Don't do that, don't you dare blame yourself for this. This isn't your fault and you'd be an idiot to think that it is."

"What if it's true, Barry? What if I do destroy everyone I get close to? What happens to you? What if you die? Wh-what I lose you too?"

"Hey, you won't lose me. I'm gonna be here, with you, no matter what happens. I will always be here by your side."

"Promise," Daisy begged. "Promise me you'll never leave me. Promise me, Barry."

Barry looked down at Daisy with a small smile, the way he loved this woman was beyond anything he ever knew. He thought he knew love when he was with Iris but that was nothing more than a façade, an infatuation he could never get over. This, what he had with Daisy, was love, true and real. Barry wouldn't let anything take Daisy away from him, not the universe, the Multiverse, anything. Hell, Barry didn't care if it was God or Death Themselves, he wouldn't even let them drag him away from Daisy. Nothing could keep her from him or him from her, so he could promise Daisy that he wouldn't leave her.

"Trust me," Barry whispered. "You're stuck with me forever. I don't care if Death itself is trying to drag me away from you. I will always come running back to you. I love you, Daisy Johnson, first kiss to the last."

Daisy sniffed. "I love you too, Barry Allen. And god, you are so freaking romantic."

Barry snickered as Daisy lightly smiled but her smile died down when remembering Yo-yo.

"Stay with me." Daisy whispered, looking up at Barry.

"Always." Barry breathed.

With that, Daisy slept off, the last thing she remembered was being in Barry's arms as Barry turned off the light, the room going dark, allowing for him and Daisy to sleep peacefully in the night.

Later

In the middle of some deserted flatlands, a masked man walked through the sandy, dusty winds. The man wore a black t-shirt, black pants, a dark blue coat that stretched down to his ankles. He had a sort of bag that he wore with a strap that hung from his shoulder and he had a bandana mask which was pulled up to his nose and he had a hood covering his face. The man continued walking very slowly before stopping in his tracks. He spotted a deserted, destroyed and abandoned city about a half a mile away. The man looked around his surroundings carefully, scanning them for any threats. He then took off at superhuman speed, orange lightning flashing behind him. The man ran around the city in a ten mile radius, running around the area, scanning and searching for any threats. Thankfully, there were none. The man then returned to his previous location, going back to his original spot. The man then took off his hood and pulled off his bandana mask, revealing the face of Barry Allen. Barry then took in a breath as he called out.

"Clear!" Barry yelled out.

Then, from behind Barry, Daisy Johnson, Leopold Fitz, Phil Coulson and Hal Jordan all slowly walked forward. Daisy was dressed in her usual Quake suit, the full on black leather suit lined with small lines of yellow. Fitz was wearing dark blue jeans, a brown leather jacket that was zipped up and a red bandana, Coulson was in black pants and a black zipped jacket. Hal was in his Green Lantern suit except for his glowing green domino mask, thanks to his ring which rested on the ring finger of his right hand. The group were all in silence when Daisy finally spoke.

"How much further?" Daisy heaved, breathing in deeply from exhaustion.

"We're almost there." Barry promised.

"When we get there," Fitz gritted. "We kill him. Hell, why not kill him now?"

"Fitz-" Coulson tried to say.

"Why not!" Fitz demanded, yelling as loud as he could. "He killed Simmons! He deserves to die! We should just kill him already!"

"Fitz," Barry said, stepping towards the young engineer. "I know how you feel. Believe me, I do."

"No you don't," Fitz gritted. "What pain have you ever had to go through? When or how have you ever suffered?"

Barry stared at Fitz with an empty look, he knew that Fitz was angry. The poor man had just lost the love of his life for almost no reason at all. If it had been Daisy, Barry would've already snapped and killed the man responsible. Barry opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by the sound of laughter, a man's laughter. Barry's face immediately had a dark, grim look at the sound of the man's voice. Barry turned around to see a man in deserted clothes and a straitjacket, it was the man who was laughing, the man who had murdered Simmons, the man that Barry, Hal and the remainder of the team had to bring as their prisoner.

"Oh trust me, Scotty boy," the man said. "Barry here knows exactly what it's like to suffer. You know...to lose a mother, a father, to lose some of his friends…"

The man then stopped his words with a teasing tone Barry angrily eyed the man, watching him carefully, glaring at him with complete rage.

"Be very careful with the next thing you say." Barry warned.

"To be betrayed by his two best friends..." the man continued. "..isn't that right, Flash?"

Eobard Thawne turned to face Barry as the two enemies had a standoff, glaring at each other. Barry then slowly walked forward towards Thawne until he was a few feet to the left of the evil speedster. Barry glared at Thawne with rage and hatred, gritting his teeth as he spoke.

"That's not very careful," Barry said, taking a step towards Thawne. "There's a line to the things you do and the things you can say, a lot of them actually. Cross one of those lines one more time and I swear to god I'll-"

"Do what?" Thawne boomed, his arms slightly contracting in the straitjacket as he laughed. "Kill me? No, Barry. You won't kill me because you need me. You. Need. Me. To undo this nightmare world that was born when he came here."

Barry breathed deeply, trying to control his anger. Should he have chosen not to do so, he would've strangled Thawne to death already. He wanted to kill Thawne, to just break his neck and end his life then and there, no one got under his skin the way Thawne could. Barry did want to kill him, for Simmons at the very least, but if he did that, he would stare down that dark abyss, that dark path he would go down...and he would never come back. Barry kept his fists balled in anger as Thawne continued his speech.

"You need me, Barry," Thawne said. "You know it, I know it..." Thawne then aimed his restrained arms at Coulson, Daisy, Fitz and Hal. "...and they know it. Think of all the people you could save if I helped you, think of all the people that would die if I didn't. How many more times are you gonna try and beat him, Barry? How many dead bodies are you gonna carry? How much more blood on your hands? How many more people are gonna die in your arms?"

"Not many more," Barry replied. "I spoke to the Speed Force. They told me that they've found you guilty of your crimes and they're gonna give their version of the gas chamber. When they kill you, and believe me, they will kill you, I'll be there, watching and when I see them kill you...I'm gonna enjoy it very, very much."

Thawne stared at Barry for a few moments with all seriousness from what Barry had said. Then, a smile crept up on Thawne's lips as he began chuckling to himself. The chuckles grew louder and louder and louder up until the point where his chuckles became laughter, Thawne's laugh continued as he laughed hysterically. Barry stared at him in disgust, the man truly was insane. Barry turned around and walked away from Thawne and towards Hal, approaching him.

"Where're we holding up?" Hal asked.

"Somewhere they'll never suspect." Barry replied.

"You still think it was a good idea bringing him along?" Hal asked, jerking his head towards Thawne.

Barry heard Thawne's hysterical laughter as he spoke, "What do you think?"

Suddenly, a device in Fitz' hand began beeping virally. The young engineer looked down at the device and stared at it in horror, his eyes growing wide with shock.

"Fitz, what is it?" Coulson asked.

"He's found us." Fitz replied in horror.

Suddenly, a loud sonic boom was heard in the sky as a large hulk-like figure fell through the air before landing on the ground, plunging his fist onto it as the ground beneath cracked like glass. Barry, Hal, Fitz, Daisy and Coulson all stared in shock. Fitz immediately bent his knees, double tapping a device on his chest, immediately, nanotech swarmed all over his body, the nanites completely covering it as an Iron Man-like suit was formed. Fitz then formed two cannons on the suits arms with the nanotech, two more, long guns were formed from the back of his suit as Fitz aimed all four guns at the figure. Daisy raised her hand at the figure, ready to quake it with all her power like never before. Coulson used his prosthetic hand to form an energy cannon as he aimed at the figure, Hal used his Green Lantern ring to create an arsenal of weapons out of midair as he aimed all of them in front of him. However, the team was outnumbered and overpowered, multiple alien ships flew through the skies as they aimed their arsenal of weapons down at Barry and the team. On the ground and not too far away, an army of Godspeed clones and Parademons followed behind the dark figure as the team looked in horror. Barry cast a look to each of his shocked teammates before turning to Thawne, who was still laughing, angrily glaring at him. Barry then looked over to see the figure standing, dust hiding them from the sunlight and keeping them concealed. Thawne's maniacal laughs were still heard as the figure stepped forward, walking past the dust and into the light, revealing the standing figure of the New God Darkseid. Darkseid's eyes glowed red with the Anti-Life Equation as he aimed it towards Barry and the team, ready to fire on them at any moment before everything went black.

Barry shot up from bed, breathing heavily and gasping as he woke up with a start from his dream. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, wondering to himself: what was that dream? Why did Fitz keep saying that Simmons was dead? Why (and how) was Thawne there? Who was the man in green with Barry? Where was Barry in the dream? Barry's mind raced with several questions as he laid back, sweat trickling down his body. Barry turned to his left where he saw Daisy sleeping peacefully, dressed in nothing but a black tank top and small shorts. Barry couldn't help but just think of how beautiful Daisy was, especially when she was sleeping, it took his mind off his dream as he was finally able to calm down. Barry then rolled off the bed, his feet landing flat on the floor as he sat up, his back hunched over. He sat up straight and practiced a simple breathing technique that Nyssa Al Ghul taught him back in the League of Shadows on Earth 1. Barry looked over to the alarm clock on the side-table nearby, noticing the time that it read: 2:03 am. Barry let his head fall into his hands as he sighed, he couldn't sleep, he just couldn't. He always had some nightmare or the other, something in his mind that made him the insomniac of a person that he was.

Barry turned his head and cast a look to his sleeping girlfriend, the woman he loved more than anything. The woman that Savitar would go after just to make Barry suffer. Barry felt his body tremble in fear as he suddenly had the mental image of Daisy, laying on the ground after being stabbed by Savitar and bleeding to her death, her last words being nothing but simply calling her boyfriend for help despite knowing that he couldn't save her. The thought sickened Barry and it was because of this that he considered leaving Earth 616. He didn't want to but he knew that he had to, he had to take the fight elsewhere, to an earth where no one would get hurt, where no one would suffer because of him. But what about Daisy? a small voice inside Barry's head said to him. Barry immediately felt guilty, he had just promised Daisy that he wouldn't leave her and yet, here he was, ready to break his promise to his girlfriend. Barry wouldn't have just done that, he didn't plan on leaving Daisy forever. He couldn't have done that even if he wanted to, he loved Daisy far too much to even think of such a thing. Besides, the pain Daisy would go through if she lost Barry would be unbearable, she would've completely broken down and she would've lost it.

Barry planned on making his leaving-Earth-616 plan temporary; he had written a letter, explaining everything to Daisy. Explaining that he would come back to her after defeating Savitar, that he was doing this for her. She would understand, at least, Barry hoped she would. Eventually, Barry got dressed into a dark, blue t-shirt, a dark brown multi-pocketed jacket and dark blue jeans. He took a backpack with him to hold his gear and his Flash suit. After getting ready, Barry took one last look at Daisy, he got down on his knees and keeled beside the edge of the bed, he bent over and pressed his lips on Daisy's cheeks.

"I'll come back for you." Barry whispered to Daisy's ear, knowing that she was still asleep.

Barry then got up onto his feet as he slowly walked out of the room, slowly and quietly closing the door behind him, making sure Daisy wouldn't wake up. Barry walked down the halls of the S.H.I.E.L.D. base as he stopped at a doorway, one that was opened by hand scan. It wasn't just any doorway, it was the exit to the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. base, Barry walked forward, reaching his hand towards the hand scan print when a voice stopped him in his tracks.

"Going somewhere?" a female voice echoed through the halls of the base.

Barry turned around to see Melinda May standing not too far away from him. She was in S.H.I.E.L.D. clothes and she didn't even look sleepy, she had the same stoic expression worn on her face, the kind she always had.

"You're up early." Barry noted.

"Could say the same for you," May replied. "Wanna tell me where you're planning on going?"

Barry sighed. "No one else is going to die because of me, I'm going to end this, once and for all."

"And how do you plan on doing that?"

"By leaving this earth. If I go to a different earth, I can draw Savitar away from here and towards me. It'll keep you guys and Daisy safe. Once I've defeated Savitar, I'll come back to her."

"If you can," May said, making Barry frown. "You really expect to do this alone, Barry?"

"I have to," Barry said. "I won't let anyone else die because of me."

May scoffed. "Daisy was right, you do blame yourself for every bad thing that happens."

"Except this is my fault."

"No, it's not."

"Yes it is!" Barry snapped. "I've been here for what? Three months? Look at everything that's happened because of me. Daisy was almost kidnapped, if not killed by Alchemy. Yo-yo is dead, she was stabbed and killed right in front of Mack. Joey had his spine shattered and he's dead. The rest of the team got beaten to near-death. I'm done letting people suffer for my mistakes, I have to take the fight to Savitar and I have to do it alone."

"The last time you did that," May began. "you were almost beaten to death. Your bones were broken and you were stabbed."

"That was because I wanted to fail," Barry explained. "because I didn't have anything to live or fight for but now I do. I have Daisy."

"That may be true but it doesn't guarantee that you won't fail. What happens if you do? If your grand plan doesn't work? Have you considered what it would be like for Daisy? What would that kind of pain do to her?"

Barry looked down in guilt, coming to a realization. What if he did fail? What would it have been like for Daisy? That kind of pain would've completely broken her and Daisy would've been completely destroyed and heartbroken, she would've never recovered from that kind of pain.

"Daisy needs you," May continued. "and you need her. You don't have to do this alone, Barry and you shouldn't have to. You're a part of this team, you're an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. we're your friends, your family now. Stop trying to do everything alone and stop pushing people away for their own good. I've done the whole 'lone wolf' thing, it doesn't work. Because not only does it make you worse but the people around you, the people who love you...they won't give up on you. For me, it was Coulson. For you, it's Daisy."

Barry nodded, giving in to May's words. "You're right."

"About this?" May asked as she scoffed. "Of course I am, you're the one being a goddamn idiot."

"But clearly I'm not the only one who doesn't have a certain someone in my life." Barry pointed out.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Please…" Barry sassed. "The look on your face says it all."

"We kissed." May confessed.

"I figured," Barry said. "Are you serious about it?"

"It was just a kiss, it wasn't anything more."

"Do you want it to be more?"

"I guess so...but Coulson isn't like that, especially not after Rosalind."

"Want my advice? Talk to Coulson, tell him how you feel, tell him everything."

May nodded. "Good advice. Now take my advice and go back to bed or Daisy's gonna be wondering where you are and why you look like you're ready to leave."

Barry nodded back as May turned around and walked down the halls of the base, leaving Barry to think to himself. May was right, he no longer had to do this alone, he had friends and family here at S.H.I.E.L.D. He had Daisy, Fitz, Simmons, Coulson, Mace, Bobbi, Hunter and now May. He wasn't sure if he had Mack as a friend but he didn't blame him, the man had just lost the love of his life to an enemy that Barry had brought to this earth. Either way, Barry didn't have to leave and now, he wasn't going to. He sure was glad that May was there to give him a motherly talk and talk some sense into him. Barry made his way through the halls of the S.H.I.E.L.D. base as he set his packed items back to where he had kept, he didn't go back to bed with Daisy. Instead, he simply went to the lab and began working on the blade from Savitar, the one that the God of Speed had stabbed him with. Barry decided to try and run some tests on the blade and see if he could get anything on it. He stayed up throughout the night, working, doing something to keep himself busy, to keep himself going. One thing was for sure and certain, Barry was never leaving Daisy again, he had found his home, his place with her and with S.H.I.E.L.D.

Elsewhere

Inside a submarine that was underwater, Anton Ivanov and Shockley were currently sitting on opposite sides of a table in a room. They remained in silence when suddenly, white lightning flashed throughout the room as the two Watchdogs suddenly saw Savitar standing a few feet away from them, his suit glowed blue, lighting up the room.

"Did it work?" Savitar asked.

"It did," Anton said. "S.H.I.E.L.D. took the bait."

"Now we can begin Phase 2." Shockley said.

"Not so quickly," Savitar said. "We have a slight problem with our plan."

"What problem?" Anton asked.

"Barry Allen is awake," Savitar said grimly. "The Flash has returned."

"So he is awake…" Anton sassed. "...do what you did last time. You defeated him once, no? Do it again."

"Hmm," Savitar said, walking around the table Anton and Shockley were seated at. "It will not be so simple. He has grown much more powerful, the Speed Force has increased his power."

"So what do we do?" Shockley asked.

"We move forward with the plan," Savitar explained. "Only now, I will play a part as well. I will distract The Flash. Shockley, you and your team will play your part. The Cult will play theirs, as will Edward Clariss. And you, Anton, will join them."

"And together," Anton said, standing up as he got onto his feet. "We will destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. Once and for all."

A/N: I'll end that chapter right here. I know not a lot happened in this chapter, it was mainly meant to deal with the aftermath of Yo-yo and Joey's deaths, hence the chapter's name.

Well, things are not looking so well for our heroes, are they? Ivanov, Savitar, the Watchdogs and the Cult are clearly planning something. Radcliffe is Alchemy and he's been apprehended by S.H.I.E.L.D., how will Fitz react? How will the team react? What will happen next? Stay tuned and follow this story to find out! Please send a review and let me know what you think of this chapter, The Batman II out.
