A/N: Hey guys, it's me The Batman II. I know that right now I am doing my 'The Avenging Scarlet Speedster' story but this is just a one-shot and I really needed to do it. As I said in the plot, Jesse Quick taking down the hop by running around and throwing one punch. A C-grade character/rookie speedster like Jesse being able to take down a powerful villain like The Top? Yeah, no, not happening. This is basically a Jesse getting beaten up fic, so Jesse Quick fans, you've been warned.

Jesse Quick ran through the circus, searching for her enemy: The Top. Her first fight with her did result in Jesse falling off the rooftop of a building and Barry being trapped in a mirror with Caitlin having to go as far as using her uncontrollable Killer Frost powers to free him. This time, however, things would be different. I'm gonna get her this time. Jesse thought to herself. All she had to do was concentrate, besides, it wasn't like this Top Metahuman could've been that much of a threat. Jesse skidded to halt, stopping in her tracks as she saw the top, dressed in her same outfit while playing with some random circus spinner. Top immediately turned her attention to the young speedster as she slowly walked forward.

"Jesse Quick." Top said in a tone that sent a chill done Jesse's spine. "Quick to run, quick to fail, quick to fall."

"More like quick to learn." Jesse said, standing straight with her arms crossed. "I'm taking you down, Top."

"We'll see about that, won't we?" Top asked.

Before Jesse could reply, Top's eyes glowed green as Jesse suddenly felt uneasy. She struggled to keep her balance as everything around her acted funny, Jesse tried to stay on her feet but she simply couldn't. She felt weak as she immediately fell to her knees, feeling the wet road on her red leather. Top walked forward to Jesse, who still weak and struggling before Top stopped right in front of Jesse.

"You are so pathetic, no wonder The Flash is better off without you." Top sassed.

At that point, Jesse lost it as she tried to throw a punch at Top, however, Top's Metahuman effects on her caused her to miss as the criminal easily dodged Jesse's punch. Top then kicked Jesse in the stomach as the young speedster stumbled backwards before falling on the ground. Jesse laid on her back, which was on the ground, groaning in pain from the hit. She tried to get up but the pain in her stomach and Top's effects were too much for her.

"Poor Jesse Quick." Top said in a fake sad voice. "Too slow, not good enough. Might wanna consider changing the name to Jesse Slow."

At that point, Top immediately began kicking Jesse in the stomach over and over again. Jesse moaned and groaned in pain as she felt the pain of each kick over and over again. Jesse tried to move, to escape, to do anything but she still struggled and so she could only stay in place as Top beat her down. Top then kicked Jesse with one last powerful kick as Jesse was sent rolling across the ground before landing face-flat on the ground. Top stood still as if she were waiting for Jesse to get up. Slowly, Jesse crawled onto her elbows and knees. She got onto her legs as she managed to stand but she kept her arms stretched outward for support.

"Thirsty for more, I see." Top said. "Okay, I'll give you more."

Top walked up to Jesse, who threw a normal human punch (not a super speed one) at the criminal. Once again, Top easily dodged the strike as she merely stepped to the left to avoid it. Jesse, having still been affected by Top's powers, stumbled downward but Top grabbed the back of her collar and her waist, holding her in a somewhat uncomfortable position. Top threw Jesse onto her feet as the young speedster struggled to keep herself standing. Out of the blue, Top clenched her fist and threw it at Jesse's face, punching her instantly. Jesse fell off of her feet and onto her back as she groaned in pain. Top pulled out some Metahuman cuffs from her pocket.

"You know I only have one of these actually." Top said. "But once I'm done with you, I'll help my buddy stop that other speedy friend of yours. Get it, 'stopping the speedy friend'. No? Okay.

Top then placed the cuffs on Jesse's ankles, dampening the young speedster's powers and restricting her movement. Top then grabbed Jesse by the collar as she dragged her across the ground before stopping a few feet away from her current position. Jesse immediately noticed a box filled with water when suddenly, Top grabbed the back of Jesse's head as she pushed her into the water. Jesse was immediately welcomed by the low temperature of the water and how she couldn't breathe as Top continued to waterboard her. Jesse raised her hands to try and stop Top but it was useless. Then, after nearly a minute underwater, Top threw Jesse on the ground. Jesse gasped for air as she coughed out the water inside, laying weakly on the ground.

"Sorry about the tough act, trust me, nothing personal." Top assured the young speedster. "It's all business."

Top then proceeded to kick Jesse once again, in the stomach as Jesse felt her ribs cracking at the strength of Top's kick. Top then grabbed Jesse by the back of her collar and the back of her waist before throwing her into one of the smaller circus stores. Jesse crashed through the space as she landed painfully on the ground. She tried to move but the Metahuman cuffs on her ankles not only dampened her powers but restricted her legs' movement. Top then walked into the store as she saw Jesse on the ground, powerless and defeated. Top walked forward as she stood above Jesse before kneeling in front of her, meeting her gaze. Top then pulled off Jesse's mask and took Jesse's emblem. She then stood onto her feet as she lightly placed her foot on Jesse's chest. Jesse groaned in pain as she felt the heel of Top's shoe on her chest while Top spoke.

"I won't kill you, no, you're too much fun for that." Top said, giving an evil smile. "But I want you to remember this moment for the rest of your little superhero career, your life, I want you to remember the one woman you couldn't beat. The woman who beat you."

Suddenly, a flash of orange lightning entered the store as Top was knocked off her feet and away from Jesse as she skid on the floor unconscious. Jesse looked up and saw Barry standing over her.

"Hey." Barry said in a soft voice. "You okay?"

"I think my ribs are broken and I've got a bruise or two." Jesse said. "But other than that I'm fine."

Barry noticed the Metahuman cuffs on Jesse's ankles as he vibrated his hand and phased them apart. Jesse felt her inner speed force charging up but she decided to lay down, she was tired and exhausted.

"Stay here, I'm getting Mirror Master." Barry ordered. "And maybe try to actually listen to me."

Barry then sped off in a flash of orange lightning as Jesse laid on the ground, a defeated and failed hero. She thought about what Barry said and he was right. If Jesse had simply listened to him and stayed put, maybe he wouldn't have been trapped in that mirror and maybe Top wouldn't have nearly beaten or waterboarded Jesse to death. Jesse laid back on the ground, her face drenched with the water from the box, her suit wet from laying on the ground outside. Jesse then rolled over, face-flat onto the ground as she crawled and crawled, trying to crawl out of the store. Jesse then stopped crawling as she laid on the ground, her red leather suit drenched and wet. Jesse blinked a few times, Top's effects were finally getting lighter. She saw her mask and emblem on the floor as she reached for it before everything went black as Jesse went unconscious a defeated hero.

A/N: There we go, now I feel so much better. Honestly, I don't ever see a rookie speedster like Jesse (that too all the way back in season three) taking down a powerful villain like The Top, especially not the way she did in the show. I really feel that the show didn't have too much respect towards Top back then and as a Flash comic book fan (who also loves all of The Rogues' Gallery) that's a big no-no for me. Honestly, the way Jesse just defied Barry's orders and kinda forced herself onto Wally into a relationship (when it was clear he wasn't ready at the time) drove me insane and it totally drained my respect for her. Anyways, this is it for this one-shot, thank you for reading and I'll see you next time. Bye!
