As a young child Naruto was abused by his village, after an accident he has the opportunity to train and join the ANBU black ops. Follow the young Naruto as he shapes himself into a fine shinobi and enters the ANBU in the Unit 0, who is the first line of defense and the first line of attack for threat from outside and inside of the village.

2. Chapter 2

Heya! I'm back, for chapter two but before that let me say thank you for your reviews, I hope you will continue to help me get better at writing stories ;)

KingRK: No the purple eye is not a rinnegan, I actually never really liked Naruto with sharingan and rinnegan, so yeah just a purple eye, and about the pairing, I don't know yet who I will put with Naruto, and even then for now Naruto's a kid so it'll be weird if I put him in romantic situation this soon.

TheSevenCodex: First of all thanks for your review, first for Naruto's trainer you will discover it in this chapter, I hope you'll like it, I'm trying to get a bit creative with this, second, for Kakashi's development, yeah you're right I need to work on it, I would like to do a kind of brother like relationship between Naruto and Kakashi, I've always enjoyed this particular interaction, thirdly yeah I know sometimes I get really mixed up, see my first language is French so it's a bit complicated sometimes ahaha, but I hope it is still good enough to be readable.

Oh and I am truly sorry for the delay, work has been crazy, and I had a leak in my sink, so I had to go buy new parts and change it so yeah, been busy.

Chapter 2: Training

Naruto could not handle all the excitement that was going through his body, he was about to meet his teacher, and by the sound of how the third Hokage had described him, he was a total badass, it was now 6:30 in the morning, in 30 minutes his teacher was supposed to knock on his door and then his training would start.

"Man I wonder if he's old like Jiji" mused Naruto as he put a spoonful of cereal into his mouth "I hope he's nice though, well if Jiji chose him he must be nice"

Naruto finished his bowl in cereal in no time and then proceeded to take a shower to make sure he would be at his best when he would meet his teacher.

Stepping out of the shower, Naruto stopped to look at himself in the mirror, he looked at his blond hair who now had a streak of red across it and his eye that now had turned purple, Naruto didn't really know how to react to his change of appearance, well on one side he was happy because it made him look so cool, but on the other side each time he looked at those changes he couldn't help but think about his aggressors and what would've happened had Kakashi not been able to stop them in time.

Walking out of the bathroom Naruto made his way towards his wardrobe where he kept the small amount of clothes that he possessed, he took out a white t-shirt with the symbol of fire on the front, and some black trousers with orange lining on the sides.

It was now 6:55, Naruto had taken a shower, brushed his teeth, put on some of the best clothes he had, and put on the only pair of sandals he owned, and waited with bated breath.

The minutes were passing slowly, Naruto was starting to second guess everything, what if the person hated him like all the others, what if he was going to try to hurt him, what if I can't become a shinobi?

The questions were rushing inside Naruto's head, and he pushed the last question on the far back of his head, he would become a great shinobi, Hokage-jiji and Kakashi were counting on him to be a great ninja.

When all of a sudden.

Knock-knock

He was there, Naruto got up from the chair slowly and approached the front door, his hand extended to turn the doorknob, he stopped for a bit, swallowed hard and opened the door in one movement.

A man was just outside his door, the man was tall around 190 centimetres, he looked like he was in his mid-fifties, with short black hair that had greyish strands of hair and a rugged beard of the same color, he had a scar going from his right lip to his temple, his eyes were the color of a deep green, he was clothed with cargo pants, combat black boots, a white t-shirt and a leather jacket, he was also smoking a cigarette.

"Are you Naruto Uzumaki" he asked in a deep voice

"Yeah that's me" answered Naruto meekly

"Good, follow me" said the man and then turned and started to walk away without even watching if Naruto was following him

"H-hey wait a minute" exclaimed Naruto, but the man paid him no mind and continued walking

Naruto quickly shut his door and locked it, and started to run after the man, arriving at the bottom of the building, the 5 year old quickly looked around to see where the man went.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw him just as he turned into an alley, Naruto decided to follow him quickly and turned into the same alley, but he saw it was a dead-end alley with the man nowhere to be found.

"What the-"started Naruto

"If it was that easy to get out of your sight I guess you aren't even a genin, you're basically a kid civilian am I right?" asked a deep voice just behind him

Turning around in fright Naruto saw that the man was just standing behind him, still smoking his cigarette.

"Wait how did you do that?" asked Naruto

"You'll learn to do that to don't worry, anyway, tell me kid, do you have any experience in fighting, tracking, trapping, surviving, or sneaking?"

"Huh I mean, I had to run from people who wanted to kill me, oh and I have to sneak when I do pranks so yeah" answered Naruto confidently

"Okay so based on what you just told me we'll start from 0" said the man as he turned around and walked out of the alley "come on don't stand there we gotta go kid"

"Huh yeah alright" said Naruto as he hurried to follow the strange man that was his teacher

The man was walking in silence, not even looking at Naruto, more concerned in his cigarette that anything else, he didn't even bother to move out of the way for the people coming the opposite way, it was people who moved out of his way, Naruto didn't really what to think of him, he seemed like a badass but he was weird, he wasn't saying anything.

"So huh where are we going?" asked Naruto trying to start the conversation

"You'll see"

"What a dry answer" thought Naruto

After 10 minutes of walking in silence they finally arrived at the great gate of Konoha, where almost everybody passed through to get inside the village, loyal at their post was Izumo and Kotetsu, seeming really bored and almost sleeping, Naruto's teacher approached them and gave them a letter, just as they finished reading it they allowed Naruto and the man to leave Konoha.

"Wait are we going to train outside the village?" asked Naruto awestruck, after all it was his first time outside the walls of the village

"Yup" responded the man curtly

"So where are we going?" pressed Naruto

"My house, now shut it, we'll talk there"

They walked through the woods for two long hours of Naruto trying desperately to start a conversation and his teacher completely ignoring him, the silence was driving Naruto mad, he needed some stimulation, when Jiji told him he would be trained he didn't think it would be by walking through the forest for hours on end.

"We're nearly there" said the man

"Oh nice where is it?" asked Naruto excited at the prospect to finally have some of his questions answered

Just as he said that they arrived at the foot of a cliffside, it was a good fifty meters high and it almost a 90 degrees angle from the ground

"My house, is just above this cliffside" answered the man as he pointed at the top of the wall of earth with his finger

"WHAT?"

"You heard me"

"Is there any other way" asked Naruto hopefully

"Nope" said the man with a sadistic grin "Right now it's five minutes past eleven, if you cannot climb this before noon, you won't have anything to eat at lunch"

"What but how am I supposed to climb this I don't know how to walk on walls like shinobi" exclaimed Naruto

"That's your problem, I'll be waiting at the top" said the man as he started walking upwards while whistling a small tune "The clock's ticking kid" he called after a moment

"You must be kidding me" said Naruto with wide eyes as he looked at what he had to climb "I should really have eaten more than a bowl of cereal this morning"

It was now 11:59, Naruto had not yet arrived at the top, the man was smoking a cigarette looking at the edge of the cliff, hoping to see Naruto.

"Well I guess that was a bit much for the first day" said the man as he faced the other way, but just as he was about to walk away he started to hear some heavy breathing, he turned around and saw that Naruto's right hand was at the top, he watched as the five year old boy pushed himself at the top and promptly collapsed on the ground

"Huff Huff Huff Did I huff make it?" asked Naruto completely out of breath

Looking at his pocket watch the man chuckled

"Yeah you did kiddo with three seconds to spare good job" said the man with a grin

"huff nice" sighed Naruto

"Come on let's eat" said the man as he turned around to enter the small traditional Japanese home that was just a few meters from the edge of the cliff.

When Naruto arrived inside he saw that inside the house, were two rooms, on living room with table, chairs and a couch, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower and toilets, the man was already seated at the table and serving himself a plate of the food that was on the table.

Without a word Naruto went and sat down at the table and started to eat as fast as possible, who knew climbing was so tiring was what went through Naruto's head.

"So, Hiruzen told you why you're here?" asked the man looking straight at Naruto

"Yeah, Jiji said you would train me until I was ready to join the ANBU or something" answered Naruto with his mouth full

"That's right" said the man as he lit a cigarette "now tell me kid, what do you know about ANBU"

Naruto put down his chopsticks and thought for a second "Well I know that they are the masked shinobi around the village, apparently they are stronger than normal shinobi, and they do the hardest missions"

"Well that's partially correct, yes they are masked to conceal their identities so that they don't end up on bounties on their end like some famous shinobis"

"Ah so that's why" mused Naruto

"More or less but anyway, ANBU's are not necessarily stronger than standard shinobi, you have to be minimum a chunin to become an ANBU, of course you will be an exception since you won't even go through the academy, you can enter the ANBU if you have a special skill of set that might prove useful for let's say assassination, spying or a lot of different things so they aren't all stronger than standard shinobi, but it is true that most ANBU are as strong as jonin's"

"That makes sense" agreed Naruto

"Doesn't it" smiled the man "anyway, maybe you knew this or maybe not but ANBU operates in team of four, in each team there is a captain, and the captains themselves report to the ANBU commander who himself or herself reports directly to the hokage" explained the man

"Wow so the ANBU commander must be crazy strong" said Naruto starstrucked

"You could say that, now let's continue, ANBU's mask are in forms of animals so are their nicknames, someone with a dog's mask will be called Dog and accordingly for each animal, any questions?"

"Yeah what's the animal of the ANBU Commander?"

"Ah good question kid, the ANBU Commander is always called Dragon"

"Wow so cool"

"Yup, so now that you know this, it's time that I introduce myself, my name is Koryu Fukuyama, I am 54 years old and I retired 7 years ago from active duty, I started as a genin when I was 10 years old, so I worked as a shinobi for 37 years, and during 22 years of those 37, I was the ANBU Commander Dragon" said the man with an air of pride

"Wait so you were Dragon?!" exclaimed Naruto with his eyes wide as saucers

"That's right ahahahahhah" laughed the old ANBU Commander

"Man that's soooooo cool"

"Oh kiddo you are so much like your mom it's almost like a copied version" laughed Koryu

"WAIT! You knew my mom?!" asked Naruto with a surprised expression

"Knew her? Kid she was one of my ANBU captains, and one of the best ANBU I ever met, she was funny and always laughing but on the battlefield she was a force to be reckoned with, she could take on Kage's for fuck sake!" said the man with his arm wide open

"My mom was in ANBU, wow that's so cool and she was super strong too? Can you tell me who she was? Jiji never told me anything" pleaded anything

"Ah sorry little one, Hiruzen told me not to reveal who your parents are yet" said Koryu with a sad expression

"Oh I see" said Naruto as his smile subsided and his eyes went back to his plate

"But you know what? Let's make a deal, when you finish your training, I will tell you who your parents are alright?"

Naruto's head shot up so fast he could have broken his own neck "Alright I'll finish this training in no time you'll see!"

"Ahahahah that's the spirit kid, anyway talking about training, today was just a test, your training will start tomorrow, in the morning I will lecture you on subject you need to know to become a shinobi, be it geography, politics, maths, calligraphy, and anything you might need"

"Oh but that's super boring!" pouted Naruto "I want to learn so cool techniques!"

"Well wait I haven't finished" said Koryu "so the afternoons, first we will be unlocking your chakra, then you will learn chakra control, after that I will teach you the tree walking and water walking exercise, once you have mastered those we will start on all the basic jutsu you will need, I will also train you in genjutsu and taijutsu you will also be learning fuinjutsu"

"That's a lot of things" said Naruto while making a face

"Well this training will be on several years so the faster you learn the faster we get to more advanced jutsu"

"Oh and what's fuinjutsu why do you want me to learn that?"

"Good question, fuinjutsu is the arth of sealing, and you might not know it but you are a part of the Uzumaki Clan and they were masters in the art of sealing, I have recovered the books that your mom had in the hope that it might serve useful, it seems I have found those books a purpose"

"So I have a clan that's so cool, but where are they I've never met another Uzumaki" asked the young boy curiously

"Unfortunately as far as I know, you are the last surviving member Naruto, the Uzumaki's were wiped out" admitted Koryu

"Oh I see"

"We'll start the training tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock be ready" said Koryu as he left the living room

The next day

Naruto woke up at 5:30, took a shower and got dressed with the clothes that Koryu had prepared for him, it was just some simple sandal, a black t-shirt, and some shorts, this morning would be only lectures about the shinobi world and anything he would need to know to be a knowledgeable shinobi, the morning passed fairly quickly in the end, Koryu was a great teacher, he took his time explaining everything to Naruto and used examples so that Naruto could visualise everything so it would be easier for him, around noon they ate together and then it was finally the afternoon, the moment Naruto had waited impatiently since this morning.

The two of them were in the clearing just in front of the house, Naruto was sat crossed legged on the ground while Koryu was sitting on the stump of a tree.

"Alright kid, first thing first, to be able to be a ninja you need to be able to access to your chakra, so you will close your eyes and concentrate your senses on your belly alright? Once you start sensing a tug in your senses I want you to pull at it as strong as you can okay?" asked the teacher to his student

"Alright Koryu-sensei!" said Naruto with a determined expression

Naruto closed his eyes and started to concentrate his senses on his belly, 1 minutes passed, then 2, then 5 and still nothing

"Koryu-sensei, it doesn't work" whined Naruto

"Come on kid it's only been five minutes, some people try for days just continue"

"Okay" Naruto fell silent, and tried again, he completely emptied his mind except for one thing: Chakra

For the next 30 minutes nothing happened, by now Koryu had laid down on the ground and was simply cloud gazing, then all of a sudden he felt a change in the wind, he looked at Naruto and saw that the grass was moving differently than the wind around them.

"Come on kid you're on the right track just pull harder" thought Koryu

The moment continued for several seconds when suddenly a ginormous pulse of chakra exited Naruto, making Koryu move a little further back, then Naruto opened his eyes, they stared at each other for a moment, two green eyes looking into a pair of blue and purple eyes.

"Damn kid you did it in less than an hour I'm impressed, and that was a whole lot of chakra good job" praised Koryu

"Yay I did it" huffed Naruto while lying down on his back

"That you did, but this was only the first step, now you need to learn how to control it" the former ANBU Commander stood up and took a leaf on of the nearby trees "Now I want you to try to get this leave to stick to your forehead only using your chakra"

"How can I do that?" asked Naruto sceptically

"Like that" Koryu took the leaf and put it on his forehead, and it just stuck there "now you need to be careful, if you use not enough chakra the leaf will fall, but if you use too much it will be shred to pieces" explained the teacher to his student

"Okay I'll do it"

The rest of the afternoon Naruto tried to make a leaf stuck to his forehead, he had even took a pile of leaves so that he didn't have to go pick a new one each time it got shred, because of course for Naruto Uzumaki the problem was putting way too much chakra, he tried for several hours without success and he was becoming really frustrated without being able to make it stick.

Koryu himself had resorted to taking a nap, after all, it wasn't really fun watching a kid trying to make a leaf stuck to his forehead, he had now been asleep for 3 hours and was only starting now to wake up, he slowly got up and saw that the sun was setting, he looked around in search of Naruto and found him seated with his back against the trunk of a tree.

He started to walk in the direction of the kid "Hey kiddo how's it goi-" started Koryu

"YES I FINALLY DID IT!" Yelled Naruto in exhilaration, Naruto stood up quickly and ran to his teacher with a leaf stuck to his forehead

"That's good kid now let's get inside it's starting to get dark"

The next day

Once again the morning was filled with lectures about the shinobi world, boring if you asked Naruto, but vital if you asked Koryu, once they had finished their lunch they headed out to train.

"So what am I doing today" asked Naruto impatiently

"Well what you're going to do is way more complicated and you won't really need me for that" explained Koryu

"Okay so what is it?"

"I want you to balance leaves on each of your ten fingers and be able to make them rotate clockwise and counterwise"

"WHAT?! But I took one complete afternoon just to get it to stick on my forehead, this will take forever" exclaimed Naruto

"Yeah I think it'll take you approximately a week, good luck now" said Koryu as he turned and went back to the house.

"A week of this are you serious, I thought I was going to train not doing tricks" grumbled Naruto as he walked to the same tree he was seated against yesterday and started collecting some more leaves

At first he tried with one leaf, and he couldn't even make it balance on his finger let alone rotate it

"Hugh, this is going to take some time"

Two weeks had now passed since Naruto started this exercise, each morning he would get tutoring from Koryu and each afternoon he would continue to try and balance all the leaves onto his fingers, and then make them rotate, and today was finally the day, he had nine leaves that were rotating on his fingers, he just needed to add the last one and he would be done with this damnable exercise, but he had to admit that while it was very frustrating and boring, this method had their results, his chakra control was way more advanced now.

"OI Koryu-sensei I need your help for a second" called Naruto

Koryu came out of the house a few seconds later "Yeah what is it kid?"

"I need you to put that last leaf on my last finger" explained Naruto without breaking his concentration as he rotated nine leaves on his fingers

"Hah so it's the last one heh, okay don't move I'll do it" said Koryu as he approached Naruto, and slowly took a leaf and put it gently on Naruto's right pinky which was the only finger without a leaf at the moment.

The moment the leaf made contact with his pinky it started rotating in sync with the others, Naruto had a million watt smile on his face while looking at all the leaves on his fingers.

"Hold your horses kid, do it for one minute straight and you pass, otherwise you have to continue" said Koryu

Naruto lost his smile and refocused on the task at hand, after 60 seconds of pure concentration Koryu finally ended his suffering.

"Okay you can stop"

"Oh finally!"

"You did good kid, tomorrow we'll start tree walking"

The next day

"Okay kid so that's how it works you need to concentrate chakra in your feet, just the right amount and you'll stick, not enough and you'll fall, too much and you'll get shot up from the branch alright ?" explained Koryu

"Okay let's go!" said Naruto as he started running toward the tree, he made 3 steps on the bark when gravity pulled him back to the ground, he landed with a loud sound.

Meanwhile Koryu had trouble no laughing at Naruto " Yeah kid that's the spirit, you need to stick the the tree though you know that?"

"Of course I know" yelled Naruto

"Alright kid good luck, oh and take this to mark your progress" said Koryu as he threw a kunai at the tree and it embedded itself on the trunk.

After a few hours of trying and utterly failing Naruto really started to get frustrated, but then he thought back at the first day he tried to make leaves balance on his fingers, he was frustrated too back then and he didn't manage to do anything, but when he calmed himself he realised that his chakra answered way more easily.

"I need to calm myself, I'll get to nothing like that" said Naruto to himself as he let himself fall back on the grass

Koryu watched from afar as Naruto took a break lying on the grass

"Man you really gave me a firebrand here eh Hiruzen? Just like his mother, he'll be a great shinobi and an even greater ANBU, he just needs to use his head a bit more and he'll get stronger" thought the former Dragon

Two days later, Naruto was still training on the the tree walking exercise, he was almost at the top, and just before he made it, he was pulled back to the earth like a cannon ball.

"OH COME ON" yelled Naruto while falling, he turned around during his short flight and landed on his feet

"Why can't I do it, I have the theory right but for some reason I can't do it" huffed Naruto as he walked away from the tree and went to the edge of the cliff to look at the horizon.

Koryu came out of the house looking for Naruto, he had heard a yell and then nothing, he was a bit worried, he found Naruto seated on the edge of the cliff

"Hey kid don't stay on the edge or you'll fall it's dangerous" called out Naruto's teacher

"Yeah yeah whateverd" answered the five year old boy as he lazily got up, but the earth under his feet robbed away and before he knew it he was freefalling along the cliff face

"OH SHIT" yelled Koryu as he immediately started running on the cliffside trying to get Naruto before he impacted the ground but unfortunately Naruto was already too far

Naruto was now 20 meters above the ground, he was only realising now what was going on, and out of instinct quickly put his feet against the wall and concentrated his chakra there, and before he knew it his fall was slowed down to a stop until he wasn't moving anymore.

Naruto was standing on the cliffside, he had managed to get tree walking right at a moment's notice.

A few moments later Koryu joined him and promptly hit him on the top of the head "You stupid kid can't you just be careful" scolded Koryu

"Yeah I know I know but look where we are standing" said Naruto excitedly

"wha- OH! You did it!" exclaimed his teacher

"Yeah I did, it's so awesome!"

"Come one let's get back up"

The teacher student duo then proceeded to get back up the cliff and into the house, Naruto was thoroughly spent after a day of lectures, training and almost dying, and so he went to bed immediately

The next day

Naruto and Koryu were outside of the house, a bit further from the house than usual, they were in the thick of the woods where there was a pond, Naruto would today train on the water walking exercise.

"Okay now this exercise is a lot like the tree walking but there will be a huge difference, you will walk on water" explained Koryu

"So it's the same thing?" asked Naruto

"Well yes and no, for the tree walking you had to concentrate the right amount of chakra into your feet so that you'd stuck to the bark, for the water walking exercise you have to release the correct amount of chakra to be able to stay afloat, like this see?" said Naruto's teacher as he started walking on water"

"Okay okay I get it let's do it" said Naruto as he rushed to the water, the moment up his foot on the water was the moment he fell face first into said water

"Yeah that's gonna take a bit of time too" sighed Koryu "Well it's alright after all he's only 5"

Naruto came out of the water, completely wet and annoyed that he ridiculed himself like that, and so he tried again, and one again found himself in the water.

"Wow this is really hard" grumbled Naruto as he got out of the water

"Well I'm only going to say that you should take your time" said Koryu wisely "anyway I'm going back to the house, later" Koryu then turned and walked back to the house.

"Okay see you later"

It was 1 week later when Naruto finally succeeded at water walking he could now walk, run and jump on water without any problem.

"Look I can do it!" shouted Naruto at Koryu while running around on the pond

"Look like you've got the hang of it kid" answered Koryu as he lit a cigarette

"Yeah so what's next"

"Well all these exercise were only the beginning, and I was very soft on you these past weeks because of that, but now that you know the basic of chakra control it's time to make you learn for real" said Koryu seriously

"Oh hell yeah" exclaimed Naruto

"I wouldn't say that if I was you" chuckled his teacher

"So what am I learning?"

"Well I will teach you how to create your own form of taijutsu, the basic jutsu a shinobi will need in his career, genjutsu, you will start reading the books of fuinjutsu so that you might learn it, unfortunately I cannot help with that but you're an Uzumaki you'll be alright, then afterwards, there's the basics, sign language, ANBU codes, infiltration, assassination" Said Koryu as he listed everything"

"Man that's gonna take forever" whined Naruto

"Well yeah of course, don't forget we're trying to teach like a decade worth of experience the fastest way possible" chided his teacher

"Yeah yeah I get it" grumbled Naruto

Time skip: two years later

There was a house on a cliff, and a man standing in the clearing in front of the house, the man was standing unmovingly watching the trees with great caution, the man was Koryu, but Naruto was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly Koryu turned around and spinned a kunai into his hand and began deflecting a hail of kunais that were thrown at him, all the kunais were at his feet and he noticed that attached to one of them was a paper bomb.

Koryu jumped at safe distance but the moment his feet touched the ground a pair of hand came out of the ground and gripped his ankles hard, rooting him in place, looking in front of him, at his side and behind him, he saw there was 4 Naruto's coming to attack him.

Naruto had grown well, he was 7 years old now, and after 2 years of rigorous training he was taller than most of children his age, more intelligent and had already muscle showing.

Koryu quickly broke free from the hands that were rooting him in place and just turned around to deflect a punch from one of the Naruto, the 3 others quickly jumped into the fray.

Naruto's taijutsu style was wild, ruthless but more importantly, deadly.

His punches and kicks were fasts and aimed directly to cripple bones or vital points, and the moves were unpredictable, Naruto used all of his members to strike.

"Well he got the taijutsu, shadow clones and the Hiding like a mole jutsu down that's good" thought Koryu as he deflected the fury of attacks that the clones and Naruto were sending his way.

Koryu then suddenly with speed that outmatched Naruto struck three Naruto's on the chest hard enough to make them disappear in a puff of smoke, but just before he could strike the fourth and real Naruto, his student disappeared in a body flicker.

"Well your sealess body flicker is mastered kid" said Koryu with a cocky grin

Naruto reappeared 20 meters away from his teacher "Yeah but if you really wanted to you would've won already" said Naruto

"Well of course, but that wouldn't be fun now" chided his teacher

The two of them started circling each other, Naruto took a kunai from his pouch and threw it to his teacher, Koryu just moved a step to the left and let it fly by him but the moment it passed by him the kunai transformed back into one of Naruto's clone and just touched the right arm of Koryu and then puffed away.

"Well what was that?" asked Koryu confused

"You'll see" grinned Naruto as he made 3 clones and they charged towards the ancient ANBU commander

Koryu was using his kunais to fend off his student and his copies when he noticed he was getting slower and slower, but he wasn't tired, and it clicked in his head, quickly Koryu watched his arm and a seal was there, a movement restricting seal.

Seeing that his teacher wasn't paying attention to him anymore Naruto and his copies attacked immediately, but their teacher was just too good and turned immediately and dispatched the clones in one strike and threw his kunai to his student.

The kunai hit Naruto in the chest hard, but only half a second later Naruto puffed into smoke and a log was in his place.

Koryu looked around and couldn't see his student, but he could sense him somewhere within the trees in front of him.

"Okay Naruto I have seen everything you can come out" called Koryu as he sent a surge of chakra to his arm breaking the seal Naruto put on him, just as he did that Naruto walked out of behind the tree he was hiding and ran to his teacher.

"So? Did I pass" asked Naruto with a blank face

"Yeah you did kid, right now you are better than most genin, so yeah basic training his over, now we'll get to the real deal, with elemental affinities and all but first of all I gotta talk to you kid" said Koryu with a serious face

Naruto started smiling hearing he passed the first phase of training but his smile subsided after hearing that Koryu had something to talk to him about.

"Okay kid now let's sit, I've had a discussion with Hiruzen and we both think you can handle the truth so there it goes" said Koryu as he took a seat on the grass with Naruto doing the same

"The truth? You mean my parents?" asked Naruto hopefully

"No, remember our deal, I'll tell you about your parents when you'll have finished your training, but anyway, now do you remember what I taught you about Bijus?" asked Koryu

"Yeah they are chakra constructs with immense power and chakra yeah?"

"That's right, now what do you know about the kyubii?" asked Koryu

"Well it attacked the village 7 years ago, on my birthday, and the fourth Hokage killed it, sacrificing his life in the process" said Naruto confused as to why his teacher would ask him all these questions

"Well the thing is, Bijus cannot be killed, since they are chakra constructs they can be destroyed but after a few years they are brought back to the land of living, but one way to defeat one of these monster is to seal them" explained Koryu looking a bit anxious at the idea of Naruto's reaction

"Okay so I guess the fourth Hokage sealed the kyubii away but why are you telling me this?" asked Naruto now really confused about what was going on

"Okay here goes, the truth his Naruto, the fourth Hokage, to save the village, sealed the nine tails inside of you"

Naruto was silent, he looked directly into the eyes of his teacher, he didn't even make a sound.

After a few minutes of pure silence Naruto opened his mouth.

"So that is why the people always persecuted me isn't it?" asked Naruto with a cold voice

"Yeah I'm sorry kiddo, everybody was forbidden from telling you" said Koryu sadly

"Why me?" asked Naruto

"I can't tell you"

"So you know why?"

"Yeah but that will also have to wait for the end of your training"

"I see, can I have a minute alone?" asked Naruto

"Of course kid" said Koryu as he got up and walked back into his house.

For several hours and well into the night Naruto was up training, he needed to clear his head after the revelation he was just hit with.

Now everything made sense, why everyone looked at him with distaste, why they would beat him, try to kill him even though he was just a small child, while having those thoughts tears got into his eyes and fell freely on his cheeks, he just sat on the grass and cried of all his force for another several hours.

It was maybe 11PM when Naruto finally walked back into the house.

"Ah there you are, I was starting to get worried" said Koryu

Naruto didn't say anything but walked up to Koryu and hugged him with all his strength

"Thank you for treating me normally" said Naruto with a small voice

"Sometimes I forget he's a child" thought Koryu as he hugged Naruto back

"It's no problem kid"

Naruto walked back from the hug and wiped his tears away.

"So what's next for training?" asked Naruto with a new resolve

"That's the spirit kid! Tomorrow we'll try to get you in touch with the fox, one of our goals is to teach you how to control his power" said Koryu

"All right bring it on!" said Naruto more to himself than anything else.

And that's the end of chapter two, in the next chapter there will be the first encounter between Naruto and kurama, and the second part of his training
