I am sorry for the delay, on top of that, this chapter Is easily my worst.
I honestly don't even like this chapter, thats why It took so long besides my other fics, I simply couldn't find motivation for this chapter, don't worry though the next chapter will Definitely be better
So if you don't want to read this chapter let me give you a quick summary
Luffy gives them all positions, but not their ranks.
They're all working out now
luffy saved Nami and offered her money to show him around.
They defeated the pirates, and coby defeated his first enemy.
Namis ship broke so she's traveling with them.
I also explained the marine ranking system, and the estimated bounties.
" so here we go, I have official positions for everybody " luffy announced
" obviously I'm the Captain, Zora your the first mate "
Tashigi frowned and asked why
" while she's the first one besides coby I recruited, and she's the strongest person here beside me " tashigi pouted
" tashigi your the quartermaster, ann your the Veterinarian and beast master * she cheered * balloon is the lookout and coby your the choreboy "
He sighed ' still a choreboy ... '
Off screen tashigi asked to spar Zora and lost. She was a bit disheartened but respected her allies more.
Later
3 pirates were arguing In the middle of the ocean when they saw a marine ship head towards them, they panicked and swam away as fast as they could, luffy sensed them but ignored them.
Luffy wore his cannon post-time skip clothes whenever he works out ( unless I say otherwise assume he's wearing this )
It was early morning and luffy was lifting weights that were 1'000 pounds each with relative ease, I mean hell he was on number 9'001
Zora was using 100 pounds and looked over and smiled, no blush whatsoever she thought, she went up to 200 pounds, sets of 3'000
Luffy held his laugh at that.
Coby also entered the room and luffy ordered him to join them, he smiled.
He could only use 10 pounds per arm, and so far a set of 7 was his limit.
Zora asked " Where are we heading? " and tashigi awnsered " orange town. "
Luffy asked " speaking of that, can you check If there's any information? "
She did so and informed them that pirate captain buggy was spotted there
A few minutes later and tashigi joined In, she could only lift 40 pounds for a set of 1'000
Ann would join sometimes too, she'll could do 30 pounds for sets of 100.
She didn't want to be the weak one.
Balloon squaked and got everybody to run up to deck.
Luffy used observation haki and sensed 3 thugs attacking a girl and told everybody he was going ahead
Zora and coby were about to ask what he meant but luffy used both soru and geppo and disappeared
Luffy was in the sky and landed right infront of 3 pirates, he had his hat on his back but you couldn't tell he was a marine
I'm lazy, so I'm just gonna summarize what happened.
An orange haired girl called him boss and the 3 attacked him aiming for his hat, he one shotted them and Nami asked him to team up with him
She said she stole from pirates and asked if his hat was valuable which he said was personal
Luffy asked Nami about the situation on the island, she was confused but had him follow her as she explained that the villagers ran away
she brought him to a room when his tummy growled, He blushed and said that he hasn't had time to eat this morning
She asked why as she made cereal
He said he preferred to eat after his early morning routine instead of before
She gave it to him and he asked her if this was her home and she said no
He gave her a glare and asked her if the cereal was even hers or if that's something she stole.
She denied it and he lightened up
He ate his cereal
she offered him to team up and offered 50-50 and he said no since he was a marine
She was shocked and asked for proof so he pulled out a marine den den mushi to call his ship and tell them to meet him at the dock
He asked why she stole and she said that she's gonna collect 100 million to buy a village
He asked from who and she wouldn't mention it
He had a feeling he knew
Luffy asked if she had a dream or a specialty
She said she was a navigator and liked making maps
He smiled and said that his crew could use a professional navigator
She declined
He told her that she could have half the money if she shows them where to go and she agreed
Luffy didn't say that he could just use observation, since he was being nice
He meets up with the crew but Zora is gone
He introduces them to Nami, the person who will show them to buggy
He quickly went in and changed into his marine outfit and kept his hat on his back
He asked where Zora is and they said he just wandered off
He tells coby to stay with Balloon and watch the ship
Luffy, tashigi, Ann and Nami go to buggy
A few minutes Later and they saw a dog sitting in the middle of nowhere
They go up to it and ann pet it only to be bitten
The mayor talked to them
Luffy sensed a lion come up to them and he asked Ann if it was fine to kill it or if she wanted to tame it
Ann was interested in it but it was snotty and already tamed so she declined
Luffy defeated It and the rider
The mayor wanted to help but luffy chopped him and set him down next to the dog.
He and his crew got up close to buggy and heard a commotion so luffy uses observation hski and sensed Zora bleeding
Luffy used soru and got her back to them
Ann started using a basic med kit and asked what happened
Zora said that buggy was a chop chop human and snuck a blade In her.
She asked why she was here and she blushed and muttered the words lost
Luffy kicked the door down and told the others to stay put
Buggy was shocked and mad and had his minions shoot a buggy ball
Luffy caught it and threw it back beating most of them
There were 6 pirates left
Buggy who used 2 pirates as shields, started talking
Cabaji
And 4 unamed pirates
Luffy ordered " Tashigi fight the swordsman, Ann take the cannonfodder, Nami please shield Zora "
Nami nodded since she didn't want to get in trouble with the marines
Ann pulled out a hunting rifle and shot one of the pirates who freaked out
Ann said " don't worry it's non lethal " she shot another one before she used her gun as a bat to beat the other 2 up.
So I want to explain themarine rank system
They aren't exact but are In my universe these are the estimated bounties for marine ranks, we'll be going by new world standards
In the east blue, captain is only at new world, petty officer level
And in the beginning of the grand line and east blue captain Is only lieutenant level
s stands for seaman
S recruits are the most basic unit as strong as 1 man.
S apprentices are as strong as 3 men
S first class are as strong as 5 men.
Petty officer = 3 million estimated bounty
Chief po = 5 million
Master cpo = 15 million
Warrant officer = 20 million
Ensign = 30 million
Lieutenant junior grade = 40 million or luffy pre-time skip, pre-gears
Lieutenant = 50 million or lower cp9
Lieutenant commander = 100 million or luffy gear second and third pre-time skip, or higher cp9
Commander = 200 million = luffy no haki or gears post time skip
Captain = 300'000'000 = luffy gear three no haki
Commodore = 400'000'000 luffy haki and gear third

Tashigi fights and defeats cabaji as luffy defeats buggy
He looked and saw the lion and mohgi running away and swiftly recaptured them and went to check on Zora before He looked to see buggy gone and he used observation and saw that buggy was on a small boat and luffy decided just to let him go instead of wasting his time on a clown.
The villagers all got there with the mayor and thanks them so they gave them half the loot making them tear up in appreciation
luffy gave them Cabaji And Mohgi saying that a prison ship will be on its way.
Meanwhile
Coby was cleaning the gym and heard a crash, he saw that the room to the closet was open, and realized they were looking for some kind of goods
He yelled at them " GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE! "
The 3 pirates come up to him, they were super wet and they threatened coby
Balloon swung by and threw two of them into a building
The man had attacked coby so he ran to a small boat belonging to buggy to grab a sword
He defended himself and barely won Bbt saw that the man cut through the bottom of the boat and grabbed the treasure before it could sink
Luffy, tashigi, Ann, Zora and Nami got back to the ship
Nami saw the ship she hijacked, sink and screamed but coby gave her some treasure and she thanks him
Luffy asked what happened and coby said that 4 pirates attacked him and that Balloon defeated two of them And he beat 1 but the man sunk his own ship
Luffy congratulated him on his first win
And said he'll get a small reward later
Coby smiles
Tashigi and Zora noticed he won with a sword and wondered if he had any potential
Nami realized she didn't have a ship and pales.
Luffy noticed and offered to let her hitch a ride with them, She asked where they were headed and they said towards the grand line but they would stop on every island on the way.
He said that the next village was syrup village but the next island is an uninhabited island that may hold pirates so he wanted to clear it just incase besides he likes exploring
She agreed since she didn't have anything else to do
