Author's Notes.
Good day. I realized after writing this that if I go according to the "Creation of the Akatsuki" cutscenes in the Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution game, the Akatsuki's creation didn't happen for a while longer. I don't really feel like changing it and the games aren't exactly (completely) canon (I think). If you guys have a problem with it then I don't mind changing it though, so let me know.
That aside, Tenseigan telekinesis! The first REAL ability of the Tenseigan that isn't just the Byakugan but better. I hope you guys like how it went. This is how I'm planning on introducing the abilities for the most part, rather than all at once, I'm planning on having them appear gradually over time.
That's all for now. Feedback is, as usual, always welcome.
I don't own Naruto.
Please enjoy.
Chapter 6
Kekkei Genkai. An anomaly in the DNA that allows a shinobi to wield powerful techniques that are unique to them.
Oftentimes, kekkei genkai belong to specific clans, like the Uchiha and the Hyuga, with the kekkei genkai being inherited by the members.
Due to the rarity of some kekkei genkai, there are no existing techniques to use them, such as, the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju's Wood Style. And that's not even including kekkei genkai with abilities unique to each wielder, such as the Mangekyo Sharingan.
So how did the individuals who possessed these kekkei genkai figure out their abilities? How did they learn to use them when there are no instructions on how to? The answer is simple. Instinct.
As I watched Jūzō fall towards Kakashi, time seemed to slow down. I could hear my instincts telling me something, so I listened.
I reached out and grabbed something. Not with my hand, but with my eyes. I grabbed the first thing that I saw and hurled it at Jūzō, and time returned to its natural state.
Something in front of me, the clone I was fighting, suddenly flew off the ground towards the Jūzō attacking Kakashi.
Despite everything that was happening, I could see the surprise on both Jūzōs' faces, and I couldn't help but laugh. Ow, shouldn't laugh, laughing hurts.
The Jūzō I threw hit its target and dissolved into water, but the other Jūzō was simply knocked away as he disappeared back into the mist.
It was quiet for a moment. I quickly checked up on Kakashi. He's snapped out of whatever had him frozen before, and besides some minor wounds he's looking fine. Better than me at least.
"It's not worth it to continue this fight, so I guess I'll let you two go," Jūzō's voice echoed through the area, "Hyuga boy, what's your name?"
He's retreating? Why? Currently the fight is pretty even, he could still win this if he kept going. Ah, that's what it is. If he gets more injured then it'll be easier for any hunter-nin to catch him. But my name? Is it some 'out of respect' thing? As a member of Root my identity was strictly classified. Ah well.
"Kei." Cause screw Root and everything about them
"Kei huh? Well then, Kakashi, Kei, till next time." He responded, and when the mist cleared, he was gone.
Once I was certain he was gone, the strength that had been keeping me up gave way and I collapsed onto my back.
Kakashi appeared above me with a vaguely concerned look in his eyes, but the rest of him looked as relaxed as usual, any seriousness from battle had faded back into his usual nonchalant attitude. Although his concern turned to confusion when I started laughing.
I just fought an S-rank shinobi, and survived. We didn't win but he definitely didn't lose either. I almost died and I'm in immense pain but I have to admit, that was exciting.
"You do realize you're bleeding right?" Kakashi spoke from above me. Still laughing, I started to pick myself up off the ground.
"Yeah I do," my face became serious again, "How about you? You alright?"
That wasn't exactly what I meant. That's what my words said, but my face said something different.
'You froze. You almost died.' He still had his sharingan out so I knew he understood what my face was saying.
"A few scratches here and there, but other than that I'm fine."
I looked at him for a while longer, his face was unreadable. I eventually broke eye contact and sighed.
"Fine." I said, "and don't worry, I heal fast, I'll be fine as long as I get some first aid."
"Ahem."
Me and Kakashi looked to the side to see our client standing just outside of her carriage giving us both a glare.
I looked around. Riko's carriage had multiple holes in it, the ground had been torn apart (the carriages will probably get stuck in that), and a few trees had been knocked over. wait… are those my sunglasses? I checked my face, yes they are, must have fallen off during the fight.
My side of the battle was surprisingly clean due to me using mostly the Gentle Fist, but Kakashi's side was littered with throwing weapons and signs of various jutsu's being used, it had even managed to damage some of the other carriages.
With the shape the caravan was in we wouldn't be able to resume traveling for a while, she probably wanted us to help repair, and to that I had one thing to say.
"Don't look at me, I'm injured."
Jūzō had finally found a nice cave to camp out in. He knew he shouldn't have tried taking missions in the shape he was in. Might Dai really did a number on him. But he never expected to come across monsters like those two.
To be able to fight against an S-rank shinobi at their age was more than just impressive, it was downright crazy, and thanks to them he was now carrying several more injuries.
Kakashi was to be expected to some extent, you don't get a title like 'Kakashi of the Sharingan' without having something to show for it, but the other kid, Kei, was unexpected. He didn't look any older than 11 and yet he was able to take one water clone after another, and what's up with his eyes? Jūzō had never seen a Byakugan like that before, and he's been around.
Jūzō was part way through applying first aid to himself when he felt another presence just outside of his cave. The presence came closer at a walking pace. When Jūzō could finally see the person he couldn't help but release a deep sigh. He's seen enough weird eyes for one day.
The new arrival had orange hair, and purple eyes with a ripple like pattern. He wore black cloak with red clouds on it.
"Who are you? What do you want? I've had enough of ninja with weird eyes for one day." Jūzō said while standing up.
"Wielder of the Kubikiribocho, and member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist," the purple eyed man spoke, "I'd like to invite you to join the Akatsuki."
