Chapter 41: Dimension of Miracle - Black Magician: Summon
"Dice roll." Yami Yuugi took his turn. "I move 'Knight of Twin Swords' closer to enemy territory."
"Then, it's my turn." Otogi took his turn. "You won't make it in time, Yuugi, because I'll make it before you. Dice roll. 'Orgoth the Relentless' advances."
'Orgoth the Relentless' is moving closer to the 'Warp Vortex'. Yami Yuugi realized 'Orgoth the Relentless' was two squares away from the 'Warp Vortex'.
"That's right." Otogi grinned. "I'm taking the Warp Route right into your home turf. I'm charging right in." he had 'Orgoth the Relentless' entered the 'Warp Vortex', instantly transporting the Monster right into Yami Yuugi's territory.
"He's here." Yami Yuugi hissed. "If I don't do something, 'Orgoth the Relentless' will get to my Life. My turn." he took his turn. "Dice roll. All my Monsters stand guard in front of me. 'Thunder Ball', move forward. 'Mighty Mage', move forward. 'Knight of Twin Swords', move forward."
"No wall of Monsters can block 'Orgoth the Relentless'." Otogi bragged. "Now's my turn. 'Orgoth the Relentless', move forward. 'Orgoth the Relentless' Special Ability: using a Magic Crest, I can raise its Attack by 10. His Attack goes up to 40. 'Orgoth the Relentless', attack 'Thunder Ball'. Diamond Blade. At least you made it this far, Yuugi." he praised, taking out 'Thunder Ball'. "Yuugi, you have only two Monsters left now. And you can no longer Summon. You've sure tried hard since the game started. I praise you for that much. However, a cheap Duelist who cheated against Pegasus stands no chance against me."
"I did not cheat him." Yami Yuugi retorted. "And this isn't over yet. My turn. Dice roll. Did you forget 'Mighty Mage's power already? 'Mighty Mage', it can attack Monsters from two spaces away. 'Mighty Mage', Lightning Rod."
"I use a Defense Crest to increase his Defense against Magic Attacks." Otogi countered. "'Orgoth the Relentless', activate your Defense."
"'Mighty Mage's attack was deflected." Yami Yuugi gaped.
"'Orgoth the Relentless' takes 10 points of damage." Otogi related. "So his Hit Points drop to 20."
"But 'Orgoth the Relentless' Attack is 40." Yami Yuugi recalled. "'Mighty Mage' takes 20 points of damage. But he still have 20 Hit Points left. He can still fight."
"How naive." Otogi tsked. "And it's my turn again. Dice roll. 'Orgoth the Relentless' advances forward. 'Orgoth the Relentless' has 40 Attack Points. And with his Special Ability, using Magic Crests, his Attack will increase by 30 points."
"'Orgoth the Relentless' Attack Points went from 40 to 70." Yami Yuugi was shocked. "And if he uses his Defense Crests, I can't touch him."
"'Orgoth the Relentless' attacks 'Mighty Mage'." Otogi went for the full-out assault. "Super Diamond Blade.'"
I only have one Monster left. Yami Yuugi mused, after 'Mighty Mage' was destroyed. I have no way of stopping the enemy's attacks.
"You no longer have any way to turn the tables." Otogi chuckled.
What should I do? Yami Yuugi grasped the next set of dice. If this keeps up, the game will be completely in his control. And the Duel Monsters title me and my other self won will be taken away as well.
"Wanna surrender, Yuugi?" Otogi mocked.
Other self, Yuugi piped in from their shared Soul Room. We're aren't fighting for Jonouchi anymore. We're also fighting for the other Duelists out there: for everyone else who fought against us, with everything they had and them putting their strong feelings on the line. Isn't the same same with Pegasus as well? He gave it his all when he fought against us and he lost. Even if this game is different, we have a responsibility to give it our all and fight on until the very end.
You're right, other self. Yami Yuugi agreed. I came pretty close to losing my sight as a Duelist. Even if the cards and dice are different from each other, a game is still a game. Let's do this, partner. "Dice roll. I use a Movement Crest to move 'Knight of Twin Swords' ahead. And also, with the two Attack Crests I just rolled, I can attack your Monster with his Renzoku attack." Otogi just used a Defense Crest. If I use up all my saved Crests, I can beat it. '"Knight of Twin Swords', using the remainder of my Attack Crests as the cost, I'll use his Renzoku attack. He's attack 'Orgoth the Relentless' six times. Twin Swords: Six Renzoku Giri."
"Don't underestimate me." Otogi snarled. "I activate '"Yaranzo's Special Ability. I change my two Trap Crests into Defense Crests."
"What?" Yami Yuugi gaped when 'Orgoth the Relentless' fended off 'Knight of Twin Swords' attack. "He stopped all six of 'Knight of Twin Swords' Six Renzoku Giri attacks?"
"See that?" Otogi bragged. "'Yaranzo' can change any Crest in my Crest Pool into any Crest I want them to be. I didn't even need the unstoppable 'Orgoth the Relentless' to put you in your place. My turn. Dice roll. 'Orgoth the Relentless', attack 'Knight of Twin Swords'."
"'Orgoth the Relentless' Attack Points are too high." Yami Yuugi hissed. "Even if I raise his Defense, it won't help."
"Diamond Blade!" Otogi took out 'Knight of Twin Swords'. "I've wiped out 'Knight of Twin Swords'. Your Monsters are all wiped out. Now, what'll you do?"
"I may not have any Monsters, but I still have two of my Life left." Yami Yuugi reminded. "I won't give this game up until the very end."
He doesn't even have any room left to Dimension his dice. Otogi pondered. His chances of Summoning a Monster are slim to none. Even so, his heart hasn't shaken. Why? I can't believe he has such a strong heart.
"There's got to..." Yami Yuugi tossed his next set of dice. "There's got to be a way out of this."
"There isn't any way." Otogi taunted. "Just give up hope and fall to my feet. I move 'Orgoth the Relentless' forward yet again. Towards the Dungeon Master. 'Orgoth the Relentless', attack Dungeon Master Yuugi. If you don't beat 'Orgoth the Relentless' next turn, you're gonna lose." he smirked, his Monster taking out another of Yuugi's Heart Point. "But I'll compliment you for getting 'Orgoth the Relentless' Attack Points down to 20."
"The fight's not over yet." Yami Yuugi snapped. "I just have to Summon a Monster strong enough to beat 'Orgoth the Relentless'."
"You still won't give up?" Otogi tsked. "And just where do you think you're gonna Summon that Monster? Millions of fans around the world are watching this on the internet. How about you stop with the tough guy act and accept your loss as a man?"
"Dice roll." Yami Yuugi ignored the taunting and continued to play.
"You have no place to Dimension the dice on this field." Otogi jeered.
"Don't be so sure about that." Yami Yuugi smirked. "Otogi, there are various places left to Dimension the dice. Then allow me to show you. Dimension dice." he slotted in his die, making it appear in a zigzag pattern. "Here goes. I Summon 'Dark Magician'. I then move 'Dark Magician' forward. I attack 'Orgoth the Relentless' with 'Dark Magician'." he took out 'Orgoth the Relentless'.
In that case, I'll use my remaining Crests to finish this. Otogi decided. I left my trump for that sole purpose. "Dice roll. 'Dark Assailant' move forward. And now, it's time to open the eagerly-awaited treasure chest." he had 'Dark Assailant' jump on top of the closed chest. "The Rare Item: Monster Cannon'. The 'Monster Cannon' is one of the Rare Items that uses Monsters as ammo to destroy the enemy's Monsters. And its target is 'Dark Magician'. 'Monster Cannon', activate."
"'Dark Magician', activate your Special Ability." Yami Yuugi countered. "Magical Hats!" he hid 'Dark Magician' in one of three top hats.
"'Monster Cannon', aim for the hat to the far left." Otogi ordered. "Fire."
'Dark Magician' emerged from the right hat, unscathed.
"By activating the one time use 'Magical Hats' using a Trap Crest, he can evade the enemy's attack." Yami Yuugi explained.
"'Yaranzo', pull back." Otogi recalled his Monster.
"You can't get away." Yami Yuugi continued his attack. "Dice roll. I use two Magic Crests to activate 'Dark Magician's second Special Ability: Mystic Box."
"Yaranzo'!" Otogi was stunned to see his Monster was taken out by the 'Mystic Box'. "My Monsters were wiped out." he looked at 'Dark Magician' that was teleported right in front of him.
"Go, 'Black Magician'!" Yami Yuugi ended the dice game.
