Chapter 48: The Black Magician User - Pandora

Meanwhile, in his yacht...

"You found the owner of 'Obelisk'?" Marik asked.

"Yes." Rishid nodded. "Domino City, North C Block. The owner of 'Obelisk' is Kaiba Seto."

"I should have known." Marik snorted.

"But how did Kaiba get a hold of it?" Rishid was confused.

"I can imagine." Marik remarked. "He hosted this tournament because he got his hands on it. His purpose is to unify the Gods." as I thought, it was you, wasn't it? He realized it had been Ishizu who had given Kaiba the 'Obelisk the Tormentor' God Card. Nee-san, it was you who had the last card, wasn't it? You must have foreseen the future with your Millennium Tauk. You gave Kaiba Seto the 'Obelisk' Card, then he held this event. You know that, by the God's guidance, my fate and his would eventually intersect in Domino City. But in the end, the final God Card will fall into my hands, along with the title of 'Pharaoh'.

"Kaiba is still in the North Block." Rishid pointed out." Shall I assemble a team to attack him?"

"No, let Kaiba be for the time being." Marik replied. I finally found the Pharaoh after all this time. "Assemble Pandora the Conjurer for a duel." he ordered.

Elsewhere...

"Yuugi, we have company." Ami informed, the two cousins turned to the harlequin underneath a tree in the playground.

"Rare Hunter?" Yami Yuugi frowned and saw the harlequin gesture to the distance. "You're telling us to go there?"

"It just had to be 'The Big Top', didn't it?" Ami winced at the large circus tent situated on the other side of the road.

"That's Yuugi and Ami, isn't it?" Anzu spotted the two cousins walking towards the tent.

In the tent...

Yami Yuugi saw the opened Mystic Box on stage, as if prompting him to enter the magical box.

"Yuugi, wait." Ami called out. "This could be a..." she sighed when the Mystic Box shut after Yami Yuugi entered it and the magical box vanished in a cloud of smoke. "Trap."

"Where'd you go, Yuugi?" both Anzu and Sugoroku had also ran in.

"Anzu, Grandpa." Ami turned to the other two.

In the basement of a trading card shop...

Yami Yuugi found himself transported to the basement.

"I've been waiting for you Yuugi." Pandora's dark-skinned 'Dark Magician' greeted Yami Yuugi. "My master, the great Pandora-sama, will duel you. I'll show you there is only one true user of the 'Magician Spell-caster type' Monsters: Pandora-sama, the Conjurer."

"Stop the petty tricks and come out, Rare Hunter." Yami Yuugi snorted.

"Welcome." Pandora chuckled, appearing. "I am the second Rare Hunter, Pandora, also known as the Conjurer and user of the 'Dark Magician'. Yuugi, I am aware you often use the 'Dark Magician' to defeat your enemies. But I am the master of Magicians. There's no one who can beat my 'Dark Magician'."

"We'll see about that." Yami Yuugi retorted. "Duelists build their deck by choosing the cards they trust the most out of the thousands of cards available. But sometimes, the cards choose the duelist. When the hearts of both the cards and duelist become one, the cards' true power can be unleashed. Rare Hunters don't have the duelists' heart. I'll take you on, Pandora." he flashed his 'Dark Magician' card. "My 'Dark Magician' will defeat your."

"As I expected." Pandora accepted. "You're said to accept any duel. It seems no different from me, either. Now then, this room is a little crowded. I've prepared a special duel ring for us; if you please. It's down here." he led Yami Yuugi lower down the basement. "The truth is, Marik-sama informed me you would be in this very area. Now then, please enter. This is our duel ring: Pandora's Room. This is the perfect stage for the new 'Dark Magician's duel. The solid vision system can be used, but Kaiba Corporation can't locate us here. Now then." he started, both duelists placing their decks on the table in the middle of the ring. "Let us get started. We'll each shuffle our own decks. There's an old saying among gamblers. 'Trust your friends, but always cut the cards.' The Nightmare Show will now begin." he had the system pull both duelists to the edge of the ring before a pair of ankle shackles locked both duelists in place. A pair of rotating saws then appeared, the marks on the circle indicating each player's Life Points. "It's a nightmare game where the loser's body will be sawn apart. Furthermore, please look at your feet. "This contains the final hope of both you and I." he pointed to the locked box that had emerged from the ground. "Within this box lies the key that will open the shackles at our feet. It can only be opened when the opposite player's Life Points reaches 0. In other words, only the winner can escape from here alive. Pandora's Box: the Greek God, Zeus, created a box containing all the misfortune in the world. But the same moment a woman of the same name opened it, all the evil escaped, bringing about evil, suffering and pain. However, a tiny bit of hope was left at the bottom of the box. The very key at the bottom of this box is our last hope."

"I go first." Yami Yuugi took his turn.

'Dark Magician' is already within my hand, as I planned. Pandora grinned, having drawn his 'Dark Magician'.

"Here I go." Yami Yuugi drew a card. "I set a card on the field. Also 'Alpha The Magnet Warrior' in Defense Mode. Turn over."

"My turn." Pandora drew a card. "'"Legion the Fiend Jester' in Defense Mode."

"My turn." Yami Yuugi played his turn. "Pandora, I'm going to play a Magic Card this turn. And that Card is 'Card Destruction'. Now both players' hands a destroyed. That includes you, Pandora. As I thought, you have 'Dark Magician' in your hand already. Of course, I'd not drop my guard around a trickster like you. My turn's not over yet. Set card open. 'Brain Control'. I sacrifice 'Alpha The Magnet Warrior' and 'Legion the Fiend Jester'. I Summon 'Dark Magician'. Dark Magician', direct attack on the player."
