Here we go with chapter six! Okay, trying to do this less than a monthly update, but had to take care of stuff outside of the internet. That includes ensuring my house survives the rains that are coming. Don't worry though.
My house is fine but need to make sure my land is elevated. So, the water goes to the streets instead of my front and backyard. Luckily, I don't have any neighbors behind me. So, no one is going to come over and cry about it like my previous asshole neighbors.
Now then, enough ranting from me. Time for a recap.
Last time, Ahsoka went one-on-one with the demon, Jyun. The fight went well for Ahsoka near the end, until the demon surprised her. After she surprised him. But in the end, he didn't kill her and escaped.
How will things go this time? Think Ahsoka's luck will run out? Of course not, she is loved by everyone. But tune in today to find out what happens today.
I don't own anything from this story. Its owned by Disney (which owns the AVP & SW franchise). Also, the story originally came from my friend AVP5, who owns his OCs involved in the story. This is just a new version, that I have been given permission to work on.
Time to begin and enjoy the chapter my lovely friends!
Chapter VI
Kamino
After the fighting had ended, the Republic forces had begun sending their troops down to help with the cleanup. They had suffered casualties, but not to the same numbers as their first battle for the planet. There was also minimal damage to the Cloning facilities, which was a good thing. However, some of the Kaminoan scientists were killed during the fighting.
Not at the hands of the Separatist forces or the bounty hunters, who somehow found a way through their defenses. But rather at the hands of the invisible demon. It not only found a way to get past their soldiers but managed to kill the scientists and destroy the equipment that were made to find the demon.
There was a survivor, but she became traumatized with what had happened to tell them anything.
Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's Padawan though had engaged against the demon. The two fought away from the Clones, but Ahsoka was found unconscious once her soldiers got to her. The demon though, managed to get away and take off off-world. To their relief, their commander was still alive.
Anakin had made his way down to the planet and stood outside of the infirmary, while the doctor looked after his Padawan. Obi-Wan had joined him and was finding out about Master Shaak Ti's condition.
Anakin was pacing outside of the door, waiting for the doctor to inform him about how Ahsoka is doing. All the while, he was angrily blaming himself for not being here to help Ahsoka. For her almost getting killed because he wasn't there. And vowing to find this demon to make it pay for what it did.
Obi-Wan finished with his discussing with the doctor for Shaak Ti and sees his friend pacing around. "Anakin are you, all right?" a dumb question, but he still wanted to ask it. "I take it still nothing?"
Anakin stops pacing and turns to his friend, before he lets out a frustrated sigh. "Nothing yet. If its nothing serious, it shouldn't take this long. I should have gone in to make sure everything is okay. Just like I should have been down here to help her."
"Anakin, you couldn't have known this was going to happen. None of us could have known, but the important thing is she's alive," said Obi-Wan as he tries to help calm his friend down. "You can't blame yourself for what happened. You just need to try to calm down and not let this get to you. I also know you want to find out how she's doing, but remember, there were a lot of injured Clones during the fighting. So, please give them time."
Anakin knows his friend is right. He's happy that Ahsoka is alive and wasn't killed like the others were. He just…he didn't want to lose more people he cared about. Like with his mother.
If he had been there, maybe he could have saved her. He was worried that he almost lost Ahsoka, the same way he did with his mother. He hates that he couldn't do anything to help her. But he will make sure not to make that same mistake, when he finds the demon and make it pay.
Obi-Wan decides to try helping distracting Anakin, until the doctor comes out to tell them how Ahsoka is doing. "Master Shaak Ti suffered a few minor injuries. Nothing too serious, but she'll be resting here for the time being. Until then, the Council has decided to send Master Kit Fisto to keep an eye on things."
Anakin was happy to hear that Master Shaak Ti is okay. He knew she had gotten hurt during the fight with the bounty hunters, which he was still surprised got passed their defenses.
"I'm glad to know she's okay, but did they find out how the bounty hunters got through our security?" Anakin was aware since the first time Kamino got attacked, the Republic had sent funds to help better secure the Cloning facilities better.
Obi-Wan wasn't sure himself, especially since their security systems should have alerted them of any sort of ship entering the planet's atmosphere. "It's possible they might be using the same kind of tech as the demon. Perhaps a special jammer that can even keep it from being detected. I'm not sure, but I do know is this is a problem. Without the equipment the Kaminoan made for us, we won't be able to see this demon when its invisible."
Anakin knew this was a problem. Those inventions the Kaminoan made for them were supposed to help them see through the cloaking of the demon to catch it. The other problem is the scientists who made the equipment are dead. And all their data on the equipment was destroyed.
"So, what do we do?" Anakin asked knowing they don't really have a lot of options.
Obi-Wan isn't sure exactly what they can do. He knows the Council will have to find another way to track the demon down. Maybe if they can track its pattern, they'll be ready for it. And even stop the demon for good.
Before Obi-Wan can say anything, the doctor for Ahsoka came out of the room. "Master Skywalker? Master Kenobi? I am pleased to inform you that Padawan Tano is recovering well. She suffered some bruises and a possible sprain ankle."
"But nothing serious?" Anakin asked as he got a small no nod from the doctor. Anakin sighed in relief when he received the news and is glad his Padawan is safe. "Thank you."
Obi-Wan was too pleased and relief to hear this. He was worried for Ahsoka's safety but tried to keep his feelings under control.
"Doctor, when can we go see her?" Obi-Wan asked.
"You can go in now if you want. Just please don't be long," the doctor explains she plans to give the Padawan something to help sleep, so she can rest up.
Anakin and Obi-Wan both understood before they follow the doctor inside. There they see Ahsoka awake in her bed. Looking out through the window. Appearing to be unaware of the presence of the other two Jedi, until she sees them through the reflection.
Ahsoka gave a weak small smile before speaking up. "Hey master."
Anakin sighed in relief when he saw his Padawan in one piece. He walks over to her with Obi-Wan by his side as they begin speaking to her.
"How are you feeling, snips?" Anakin asked while keeping his responses short.
Ahsoka groaned softly as she tries to sit up but was clearly hurting. So, both Anakin and Obi-Wan stopped her from moving.
"Easy there, Ahsoka. The doctor told us you got injured, so you shouldn't try moving a lot," said Anakin as he tries to help keep Ahsoka from further injuring herself.
Ahsoka stopped and leans back against the bed. She then let's out a small sigh, before she spoke softly. "Master…I'm sorry. I failed to keep the scientists safe, I failed to stop the demon, and I failed to keep it from escaping. I'm sorry for failing the mission."
Anakin was surprised to see Ahsoka apologizing for failing to do what she was asked to do. He never did ask her to fight the demon, but he knew she meant to protect the scientists and keep the enemy from getting to them.
Obi-Wan steps in and tries to help reassure Ahsoka she didn't need to apologize. "Ahsoka, you can't blame yourself for what happened. None of us thought the demon would show up to attack the facility. Just like we didn't know the Separatist would attack Kamino as well. We know you did the best you could and we're just glad you're alive."
Before Ahsoka could respond, Anakin joins in to help. "Obi-Wan is right. Ahsoka, no one is blaming you for what happened, and neither are we. We know you did all you could to keep the scientists safe. We were more worried though that you had gotten killed against the demon."
Anakin placed his right hand on Ahsoka's shoulder and continues. "I'm relief to know you are safe and we didn't lose you. You just have to promise me you won't do anything like that again. I know you wanted to keep the demon from escaping, but you shouldn't try doing it on your own. Okay?"
Ahsoka wanted to speak up since she felt so much guilt for failing in her mission. Like she did when she got most of her team killed during her mission over Ryloth. However, her both masters try reassuring her everything is all right. That they don't blame her for what happened and are both glad to see she's alive.
She knows she messed up and was expecting to be lectured for what happened. Even be punished for almost getting killed. Yet, they didn't and are just glad she's still here with them. It felt like a huge weight lifted from her shoulders, since she was afraid of letting them down.
"You don't blame me for failing in my mission?"
Anakin shook his head and sits down on the bed. "Just as long as you're okay, that's all that matters."
Ahsoka couldn't help but let out a small sigh of relief. She was worried what the Council would say when she woke up. What her master would say about her being reckless and almost getting killed. She didn't mean to do what she did, but she had to do something, since she knew her master would have done the same thing.
Obi-Wan wanted to give Ahsoka time to recover from her injuries, but he knew they needed to find out some information about what happened as soon as possible. "Ahsoka, I was going to wait to ask you this, but if you are up to it…can you tell us about the demon?"
Ahsoka had a feeling she'd be asked this question and knows her master will want her to get some rest. However, she knows she must give the Council what she knows now before she forgets anything.
She begins giving them all she remembers. From the description of the demon. Its height, armor, its weapons, and how strong it was. She could sense throughout their fight that the demon is strong.
Even felt like it was holding back against her. Maybe it didn't take her seriously as a threat, until she managed to get the better of it. The next thing she knows is the demon fired some sort of plasma weapon at her. The force of the attack knocked her out and after that, she doesn't remember anything else.
"After that, I woke up here and I was told Rex had come in to scare the demon away. I guess he didn't want to risk fighting after our fight," said Ahsoka who is just glad Rex came in time to save her before the demon could kill her.
Anakin and Obi-Wan turn to each other, with a look that showed they knew something. Ahsoka took notice of this and seems confused.
"What?" Ahsoka asked.
Obi-Wan sighed softly before he tells Ahsoka what they know. "We spoke to Captain Rex about what happened, and he told us that they heard a loud explosion inside the hanger. It took them though another few minutes before they could break through. By the time they came in, Rex said he saw the demon standing over you before it took off. If we take into what you told us to what Rex told us, then the demon should have had plenty of time to kill you."
Ahsoka sat there shocked with what Master Kenobi told her. If what he's saying is true, then…she shouldn't be here. The demon should have killed her, like it did to the others. Yet, it didn't kill her. It spared her life…why?
"I-I don't understand. It knows I saw it and that I would pass on this information to you, why spare my life then?" Ahsoka asked while confused by what she is told.
"Maybe it was injured during the fighting," said Anakin who figures that might be the case after he remembers Ahsoka mention she injured him.
"Even then, it still had time to try killing her. If it didn't despite what she knows, then something must have happened," said Master Kenobi believing there is something else they're unaware. "For now? We'll pass this information to the Council and try to figure out what this thing is. Ahsoka, I'll inform the Council to give you some time off to rest. Will you be all right with this, Anakin?"
Anakin nods in agreement with his friend, knowing his Padawan should get some rest. "I think that would be best. Once your well enough, we'll take you back to Coruscant, Ahsoka."
Ahsoka didn't bother arguing with her master about taking time to rest. After what happened, she needs some time to heal from her injuries. "I understand and thank you, master."
Anakin and Obi-Wan soon begin to leave Ahsoka to get some rest. They're both pleased that the young Padawan is doing all right, but something was bothering them both. They knew the demon had no problems killing their Clones and even Jedi. Yet, it spared Ahsoka?
Was it because she was young? No. It was clear from what Ahsoka told them that the demon was determined to kill her. Yet, it didn't go through with it, despite the opening it had.
They knew something clearly prevented the demon from killing her. Perhaps its injuries were too severe? Maybe it didn't have time to kill her the same way it killed their comrades? Or was it something else?
It's a damn shame the cameras in the hanger were all destroyed.
One thing is for certain though. The demon was still out there. Healing from its injuries and getting ready to return to the hunt. If they have any hope of taking it down, then they need to find a way to track it and kill it for good.

Meanwhile, news of the attack had spread across the galaxy. Many Republic systems now fear the demon will be able to pass through their security to kill them. If this demon could get through Kamino's defenses, then there's a chance it could sneak onto any world without being detected. Even the Senate itself.
This caused the Republic to begin finding ways to upgrade their security. To help reassure the senators they will remain safe. All the while, the chancellor blamed the Jedi for failing to capture the demon and reassures the public he will make sure to keep his citizens safe. The demon will be captured and will make sure to end its reign of terror.
For Roland Kane, watching all of this through the holo-net was entertaining. It was about time he got to see these rich political hypocrites living now in fear. Now they know what it is like for their people to live in constant fear every single day. All while they live in the life of luxury and wealth, which they got feeding off the innocent.
Kane wanted to make them all pay for what they did and now they are terrified of his creation.
Sherri enters the room to find the doctor admiring his work and lets out a cough sound to get his attention. "Doctor, I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I wanted to let you know that I have tended to Jyun's injuries. And found all of his equipment is accounted for."
Kane was pleased to hear this, especially after he found out his creation was injured during his fight on Kamino. "I'm still surprised one of those Jedi actually managed to hurt him. With his own weapon no less. It seems they aren't as incompetent than I originally thought. We'll need to make sure that doesn't happen again."
Sherri nods in agreement as she walks over and hands him the report, she filed with Jyun. "He was successful with his mission though. The Kaminoan scientists involved in the project have been killed and their creations have been destroyed."
Kane looks over the report and chuckled softly. "Even if they could see him, I doubt their weapons would be able to take him down. Still, it does concern me how one of the Jedi managed to get the better of him. I highly doubt he got overconfident in his fight. The Jedi must have gotten lucky."
"If this is true, then do you plan to send Jyun after the Jedi?" Sherri asked who figures Kane will want to kill this Jedi to avoid the Republic from finding out more about Jyun.
Kane had thought of that already, but he knew it was pointless. "No point in doing that. Its likely the Jedi have already been told whatever their own told them. Its unlikely it is anything valuable. Just his appearance and some of his weapons."
If they got their hands on any of the equipment, then he would have reasons to be concerned. But since Jyun escaped with his weapons, then the information the Jedi tells them will be useless.
"I also need Jyun to be fully healed before the old man contacts me for a new mission," said Kane who needs his creation healthy, to avoid another mistake.
Sherri nods her head and prepares to walk out. But Kane then calls on her to say one more thing. "And Sherri, I noticed the Bio-Mask was missing a few minutes of footage, before it shows him escaping. Do you know why?"
Sherri froze for a moment after hearing what Kane said and got worried.
Sherri knew that the mask that Jyun used, records everything. This is done to show what happened during the missions, to learn from the fights, and improve. So, if there's footage missing, then it will raise some eyebrows. Considering Kane put in a program to ensure that doesn't happen.
"Um I-I don't know. Maybe the during the fighting, the mask got damaged?" Sherri suggested.
Kane knew that was a possibility, but he knew he would need to take a closer look at the mask to see if it did get damaged enough to lose those minutes of footage.
"Carry on then," said Kane as he motions for Sherri to leave.
Sherri nods and begins to take off, while sighing in relief that Kane believed what she said. She still needs to let Jyun know what happened, so he is aware of this. She knew he found a way to hack into his Bio-Mask and erased any footage. So, she'll need to help him make the mask look damaged enough for him to believe the lie.
Sherri makes it to the infirmary, where she has Jyun healing. She walks in to find him not in bed, but rather near a table. Watching his fight with the young Padawan through the backup drive he had implanted in his Bio-Mask. He did this to download anything he didn't want Kane to see and watch them again.
Sherri had known this for a year, which is when Jyun began to do this. She didn't say anything, since she saw he had recorded himself after his missions somewhere peaceful. Whether it was in the forest, or in a meadow, or even around other animals. Those that weren't afraid of him and had approached him.
This made Sherri realize that Jyun, wasn't a cold-blooded killer like Kane told her he was. But was someone who had a gentle soul. Deep down under that rough exterior. But this time, his recordings showed what happened after he fired his weapon at the Jedi Padawan.
Jyun had her beaten. He found that despite being a Padawan, she wasn't weak. She was cunning. She used that against him and was able to hurt him.
Something the other Jedi he fought couldn't do. She didn't lose her temper, used anything she could find to hurt him, and made his fight more of a challenge. The hunter side of him saw her as a worthy prey to kill and take her as a trophy. Yet he didn't.
Something else inside of him told him he couldn't do this. He couldn't go through with killing he, like he did with the others. He couldn't understand why he didn't do it. What was it about her that made this time different?
Sherri clears her throat, getting Jyun's attention who turns off the hologram video. "Sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt you, but I came to check on you."
Jyun didn't say anything and simply puts the backup drive away in a secret compartment. He turns to her and moves his shirt to the side to show where he got injured. Sherri had given him some medicine to help heal from the injury, but it was different from the others she had treated. Normally he would get gash wounds from predators, but only from those that can find a gap in his armor.
Before she became his physician though, he had many scars around his body. Turns out Kane didn't give him better armor until she joined him. So, the injuries he suffered were constantly occurring. Luckily, with the new armor, his wounds have been kept to a minimal.
This wound however, caused when the Jedi Padawan used his own weapon against him. She had to admit, the Padawan impressed her, but this did leave with this wound that she had to deal with.
"Well, the good news is the medicine I gave is helping heal your injury. You're lucky it didn't do any serious damage that would be permanent," said Sherri as she sees the wound is slowly healing. "Still, you should be more careful. I know your armor can handle blasters and even a Jedi lightsaber. But your own weapons like your spear can still hurt you. Considering the material used is similar to the armor."
Sherri will need to inform Kane to help upgrade the armor. To prevent this from happening again. Otherwise, if an enemy gets their hands on one of his weapons, they can use it against him. She'll also need to make sure the armor remains light enough for him to still be mobile.
Jyun again didn't say anything. He just remains in his chair, while Sherri checks on him. Sherri noticed this and knew something is on his mind. He didn't talk a lot whenever Kane is around. With her though, he would.
She knew its because he trusts her, but something was bothering him, and she can guess what it is. "You're wondering why you couldn't kill her?" she didn't get a response from Jyun but knew that was it when he looked away from her.
"I'm not going to ask why you couldn't do it. But I get the feeling you either saw her as a worthy foe and you spared her to fight again another day. Or there's something else. Hence the reason why you keep re-watching that footage so many times," said Sherri figuring out some reasons for Jyun not doing what he usually does to his foes.
Jyun knew it was true. That when he does fight a strong worthy foe, he would usually spare their lives. But this is mostly with creatures he has fought when he's off training. When Kane isn't monitoring him, but Sherri does.
Is that why he spared this Padawan? Because she was a worthy foe? She did prove herself to a better fighter than the Jedi Knight he fought, and with enough training she could become a better Knight. But this was different.
There was something else in his mind that made it feel like he knew her. That wasn't possible, but he did see these images. Images of her when she was younger and how she seems to know him. He knows something is going on here but didn't know what to do.
"Jyun, you know if you ever want to talk to me about anything, you can let me know. Kane doesn't have to find out, but he is getting suspicious about the Bio-Mask. So, let's first work on making it look damaged enough to believe what I told him and if you ever want to talk me about what is going on, we can do that later. Okay?" Sherri asked as she placed her right hand on his shoulder to help reassure him.
Jyun looks up at Sherri and knows she really is the closest person he can really trust. He didn't want her to get in trouble if Kane found out what happened, but he knows she'd still risk it to help him.
Jyun turns to his Bio-Mask and then back to Sherri. "Mind handing me my wrist gauntlet. I've got an idea."
In the meantime, Kane pours himself a drink and continue watching the holo-net. He wanted to bask in this moment a little bit more. That was, until he begins receiving a call from Count Dooku. Kane sighed in annoyance before he shuts off the holo-net and begins answering the call.
"Hello there, Count Dooku. I presume you and your master enjoyed the show?" Kane asked with a confident smile.
"We were indeed impressed with your demon's work and that the mission was a success. Now, any Kaminoan that had ideas of crossing us, are now falling in line," said Count Dooku who knows now they have nothing to worry about any of the Kaminoan trying to betray them. "However, I was disappointed to hear your creation did not kill the Jedi, he encountered."
Kane should have known this bit of information would leak out but didn't seem concerned. "From what I was told, it was a mere Padawan. Likely he saw her as unworthy to kill or the Clones broke in to stop him. In any case, we knew eventually this would happen. But its nothing to be concerned about."
"Unfortunately for you, it is something my master and I are concerned about. Now that the Republic knows what your reaction looks like and what weapons he possesses—" Count Dooku though is interrupted by Kane, who raised his voice a bit.
"It doesn't matter if they know what he looks like or what weapons he possesses. The ones he's used is only a small taste of the arsenal we still haven't had him used yet," said Kane as he tries to lower his tone. "And besides, its not like anyone knows how to find him. The Jedi will likely believe him to be some sort of Mandalorian due to his armor or some sort of bounty hunter."
"Be that as it may, your creation needs to ensure there are no survivors left alive. That includes the Jedi, whether they are Padawans or even Younglings," said Count Dooku, who could sense some anger in Kane with what he said. "Is there a problem, doctor?"
Kane clenched his drink tightly in his hand, before he forced himself to give a small smile before turning to Dooku. "Nothing at all, Count Dooku. Although, I get the sense that if you want my creation to kill even a Youngling, that you have something in mind?"
Count Dooku could sense Kane's restraint and control in his tone. He was indeed angered by what was said, but he was trying to hide it. The Sith Lord decided he'll need to look into this some other time. For now?
He begins passing on some information to Kane's holo-pad. "One of my master's spies has informed him that Senator Amidala and a small group of senators are going to meet in Naboo. It seems some of these senators are plotting something against him and he wants them eliminated."
Kane takes a look at the information that he received and recognized some of the names. Bail Organa of Alderaan, Mon Mothma of Chandrila, Nee Alavar of the Kanz sector, Garm Bel Iblis from Corellia, and Fang Zar of Sern Prime.
"I know some of these senators. I met them before," said Kane who knew these senators, unlike the ones he despises, actually has some respect for these senators. Well, not much for Mon Mothma, but the others more than her. "I presume these are my creation's next target?"
Count Dooku nods in response. "My master believes they're plotting against him and wants to make an example out of them. I want the demon to kill all, but Senator Amidala."
"Not the young senator?" Kane asked as he puts his holo-pad down and chuckled. "What? Does he have a thing for her or something?"
"That does not concern you. Just ensure that your creation kills all, but the senator. Do we have an understanding?" Count Dooku asked.
Kane found it a bit hypocritical that he would demand that his creation kills all witnesses. Even young children. Yet, here he is telling him that his creation should kill all but Senator Amidala. It seems she is of great importance to Dooku's master.
What that is, he doesn't know yet. However, he will need to find out, so he can keep this information as an insurance policy. Just in case the two old men try anything with him. He gives a small nod to Dooku, understanding what he wants.
"Very good. The event will happen a week from today. Make sure your creation is ready by then. And do not disappoint us," said Count Dooku before he ends the transmission.
Kane took a sip of his drink before he sets it down on his table. All while chuckling softly with what the old man told him. "Don't disappoint us? Then I better make sure my creation makes this night a night the galaxy will never forget."
That's the end of the chapter and looks like Jyun has got some issues. He was unable to kill Ahsoka, who let's be honest. When she started in the Clone Wars, her skills were fine, but not on the level she'd be in later in the series. Hell, in her fight with Maul, she was able to beat him.
The guy killed a skilled Jedi Knight like Qui-Gon Jinn, and Obi-Wan Kenobi had trouble against him in their fights. Now yes, some might argue if he had his old legs he could have won. Fuck, those mechanical legs are very useful, especially if they help crush the bones of his foes or even help him jump a little higher. With or without his legs, Ahsoka still defeated him.
Find out next time to find out what is going to happen…because well it's a secret. I'm not going to spoil the secret to you all. So, as Captain America says…patience. Also, please do not send me requests to do a story of yours, like I said I don't have any time.
Now then if you enjoyed this chapter then please leave some reviews. Just remember, don't be A-holes and leave flame reviews. Those are forbidden around here. Now, if you do have some issues, but you keep the criticism proper then that I will be okay with.
Just, don't go out hating something because you hate it. Now, I will see you all next time then, be safe everyone, and love you all.
