Chapter 86: Noah vs. Seto - The Duel of Heaven and Earth's Creation

The group was then led to a train station where they boarded a train shaped like the 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' to their destination.

"Welcome, everyone." Noah greeted via the intercom. "I invite all of you to my world."

Eventually, the train made a stop on a boulder in a sea of lava, where Noah was awaiting on the opposite side.

"Welcome, Seto." Noah renewed his greeting, the train having deposited the others on a nearby cliff.

"Bastard." Kaiba glared. "Where is Mokuba?"

"Don't fret over it." Noah chided. "Regardless of how our destiny pulls us into fray, this doesn't involve Mokuba. He will be released. That aside, Seto, isn't this place beautiful? We stand atop the Earth before it was born. You can create any world you want using Kaiba Corporation's advanced simulator, whether it be the universe or a pit of magma. Using this, even be it a war contrived by a society on the verge of revolution, it's possible to greatly change the history of mankind."

"If there's something you want to say to me, how about you just come out and say it?" Kaiba demanded.

"I am appalled by you." Noah sighed. "You only use this outstanding technology on worthless games. Seto, isn't it about time we settle things? And for us to decide who is most suitable to run Kaiba Corporation."

"It's meaningless." Kaiba scoffed. "Because. Noah, you're already dead. We saw it with our very own eyes."

"You all saw those old records?" Noah realized. "Then that will make this go much faster. You're right; it's true that my body is made up of virtual imagery. But I'm much different up here." he tapped his temple. "Behold, Seto. That is the container holding my true brain." he summoned a large digital sphere from the sky. "My conscious lies dormant inside it. Just like you said, my body is certainly dead. But everything started the moment of my death. Born the only son of Kaiba Corporation, I was spoiled more than anyone, as if I was born superior to all other children. Because I have already been selected to take over Kaiba Corporation someday, my lifestyle had been decided. My father invested in the most elite teachers to ensure I received a top-tier education. Not just studying, music, sports; because he wanted me to grow up to be a person at the top of all fields this world had to offer, someone on par with a King. And I tried my best to answer my father by doing the best I could all the time. Had things gone on that way, you and Mokuba would never have had anything to do with Kaiba Corporation. You said before that life is a game. If that's the case, you could almost say I was cheated. They say the human brain is made up of faint electronic-like signals. My father took an AI computer created by Kaiba Corporation for military combat and had all my memories transferred into it and I was granted a new life. And afterwards, Seto, you and Mokuba were taken in by the Kaibas. Father took you in as my rival and my motivation. You were intended to push me further in my studies, all the way to the top. Seto, you were never meant to inherit Kaiba Corporation. I'm going to view this from your point of view. That's why we are going to use the method you are most comfortable with, Duel Monsters, to decide my victory. I'm positive losing like that would be better for you. Relax. I'll inherit your body. You will be used for the benefit of Kaiba Corporation."

"So basically, you're saying that all of my troubles, all of the effort I've put into my life was for you?" Kaiba laughed at the incredulity.

"That about sums it up." Noah smirked. "And if you do what I want now, it'll save you a humiliating loss later on."

"Cut the nonsense." Kaiba snarled. "Listen well, Noah. I have never lived for anyone but myself since the day I was born. My future is decided on the road of glory. And if someone dares to dirty that road, no matter who it may be, I'll eliminate them with my own two hands."

"Seto, you're quite the persistent one." Noah admitted.

"Stop running your mouth, Noah." Kaiba snapped. "My deck has already been decided. As for my Deck Master, come forth, 'Kaiser Sea Horse'."

"I've been dreaming of this moment for a long time." Noah admitted. "Now, let's have our match, Seto."

"My turn." Kaiba took the first turn. "I Summon 'Giant Germ' in Attack Mode. I then set a Card face-down. Turn end."

"My turn." Noah took his turn. "I Summon 'Chiron the Mage'. Now I get to show you the power of my 'Creation of Heaven and Earth' deck. I activate the special ability of 'Chiron the Mage'. 'Chiron the Mage's 'Mirror of Truth' allows me to see the face-down Card on my opponent's field and destroy it. Seto, that set Card you've got is the 'Crush Card'. I saw through your entire plan." he took out the 'Crush Card' and had 'Chiron the Mage' destroy 'Giant Germ'.

"I activate 'Giant Germ's special ability." Kaiba countered.

"A Regenerative ability, huh?" Noah mused, a second 'Giant Germ' was Summoned onto Kaiba's field, while he himself went down 500 Life Points.

"Even if you got rid of the 'Crush Card', my victory hasn't changed." Kaiba retorted. "My turn. I sacrifice 'Giant Germ' to Summon 'Vampire Lord'. And now for 'Vampire Lord's Vampiral Effect." he activated 'Vampire Lord's special ability after destroying 'Chiron the Mage'." "Each time I damage you, I must declare one type of Card in which you must send to the graveyard. Noah, toss away a Monster Card."

"Not too shabby, Seto." Noah discarded 'Giant Soldier of Stone'. "But such an evil Monster doesn't fit in well with the Holy Land I've created. My turn. Demons shall be sent back to the darkness they came from. Magic Card: 'Fissure'. I then Summon '"Aeris'." he had 'Aeris' direct attack Kaiba. "I then place one set Card. Turn end. What's wrong, Seto? Is this all the strength your prestigious power deck cam muster? If you don't take me seriously, this match will be over before you even realize it. Or perhaps, you have been taking me seriously all along?"

"My turn." Kaiba took this turn. "Revive, 'Vampire Lord'. 'Vampire Lord' holds two abilities. The first is a Vampiral Ability designed to assault your enemy and when he is destroyed by one of your Effect Cards, his Immortality Ability lets me revive him on the turn after you do so. I will also Summon 'Slate Warrior', Attack Mode."

"You've got some nerve dirtying my Hold Land with evil Demon-type." Noah sneered.

"Noah, if you want to keep on pretending you're the creator of this world, then allow me to descend to that world alongside you." Kaiba declared. "Attack, 'Vampire Lord'."

"You're long-winded, Seto." Noah chided. "I will return those evil souls to where they came from. Trap Card activate. 'Earthshaker'. 'Earthshaker' allows me to pick two Attributes. You then must choose one of the two. Following, all Monsters on the field holding that Attribute are destroyed. I have chosen the Wind and Darkness Attributes. So choose whichever you like, Seto."

"I choose 'Vampire Lord'." Kaiba answered. "Don't forget that I still have 'Slate Warrior' on my field." he had 'Slate Warrior' take out 'Aeris'.

"My turn." Noah took his turn. "'Long ago, when evil beings roamed the earth, God washed them all away.' and that time is now. Magic Card activate. 'Giant Flood'."

The giant wave of water washed away 'Slate Warrior' and all the Monsters taken to the graveyard.

"This just means that my Deck Master Ability has just been activated." Noah laughed. "Come forth, my Deck Master, 'Shinato's Ark'. Seto, this is where the duel of the Creation of Heaven and Earth really begins."
