Chapter 88: Save Mokuba! The Fated Seventh Turn
"Looks like Mokuba has forgotten all about you after I took the liberty of sealing his painful memories away." Noah mocked.
"Any enemy of my nii-sama is an enemy of mine." Mokuba declared.
"What's the matter, Seto?" Noah taunted. "You're not going to attack? If you attack me using the effects of 'Dragon's Rage; my Life will be ancient history. But can you do that at the risk of harming Mokuba through the battle damage in the process? It's time for you to get on with the attack already, Seto."
"My turn is over." Kaiba hissed.
"It sure is, isn't it?" Noah laughed. "There's not a thing you can do to oppose me now. All that awaits you is a cruel and painful future where I take your body and all you stand for. You did well, Mokuba. Get back over here now. My dear otouto, watch carefully as I dispose of him. It's my turn. And the fourth turn of the creation of Heaven and Earth. I will now be activating the third power of my Deck Master, 'Shinato's Ark', and that is Life Restoration." he Summoned all the Monsters within the 'Shinato's Ark'. "If I remove all the Monsters in the 'Shinato's Ark' from the game, I can increase my Life Points by 500 for each one. I had 12 Monsters on board the Ark, as such my Life Points will recover by 6000 points. And then, a Magic Card, I activate 'Dark Hole'. This Magic Card destroys all Monsters on the field. I think my turn's over. What's wrong, Seto? It's your turn now."
"Kaiba, you have to believe in Mokuba." Yuugi called out. "I had to fight against Jonouchi when Marik set that trap for us. It was my bond with Jonouchi that saved us in that pinch. You have to keep fighting to bring back the bond with Mokuba."
"Your friend sure gave you one hell of a tip." Noah chuckled.
"Don't misinterpret it." Kaiba retorted. "I take no orders from anyone but myself. I fight everything on my own. My turn. Return to our dimension, 'Different Dimension Dragon'." he Summoned 'Different Dimension Dragon' back to the field. "I switch 'Different Dimension Dragon' into Defense Mode. I end my turn."
"It's the fifth turn of creation." Noah voiced. "Eventually, all living creatures on the planet began to undergo rapid evolution cycles. Modern civilization was born as a result." he changed to field into an urban surrounding. "And that is the castle I should be reigning in: Kaiba Corporation." he added as the main building of Kaiba Corporation came into view. "Time has reached its present. Seto, I'm going to teach you the true terror of the weapons created by Kaiba Corporation. 'Gradius', prepare for launch. And now for the Magic Card, 'Cyclon Laser'. I then equip 'Matter Leveler'. If the Monster equipped with 'Matter Leveler' attacks an opponent's Defense Position Monster, the Card's Attack Power automatically rises to 100 points more than the Monster's Defense Points. And 'Cyclon Laser' is a Card that inflicts damage to my opponent when I attack a Monster with Defense Power lower than its Attack Power. The target is 'Different Dimension Dragon'. Fire the 'Cyclon Laser'. 'Different Dimension Dragon' is a Monster that can't be destroyed by magic or battle, isn't that right? It's the perfect Monster to torture you with."
"My turn." Kaiba growled. "I'll leave 'Different Dimension Dragon' in Defense Position and end my turn."
"Of course you will." Noah shrugged. "There's not a thing you need to do, other than to thoroughly accept the suffering I'm going to hand you, Seto. I'm going to enjoy the look of agony on your face."
"I can't believe you have the gall to call yourself a creator when you get sick pleasure from watching people suffer." Kaiba scoffed. "I can't really blame Gozaburo for not loving a twerp like you."
"Shut up, Seto." Noah snarled. "Father had faith in me all the way to his death. I worked so hard for my father. There's not a time in my life that I betrayed his expectations. I will be reborn as a human being with superior knowledge. I'll complete the Kaiba empire my father failed to establish. Father happily cheer me on. And he'll say, 'I knew it all along, Noah. You're my one and only son.' It's the sixth turn of creation. I Summon 'Gradius' Option'. 'Gradius Option' is a Card that mimics the powers of a 'Gradius' on the field. 'Gradius Option', transform into a 'Gradius'. Fire the 'Cyclon Laser'. Now watch carefully, Mokuba as we reveal our enemy for who he truly is. Doesn't it hurt, Seto? It really does hurts, doesn't it? Being betrayed by the one you love. I still have a Monster that is yet to attack you. Go, 'Gradius', fire the 'Cyclon Laser'. That's a nice expression, Seto." he mocked, seeing Kaiba's glare. "Seto, I think I'll put you out of your misery and finish you off."
"Mokuba, are you alright with this?" Yuugi yelled. "Doing all this to Kaiba? Haven't you and Kaiba always helped each other out, no matter what happens? Isn't your bond with him absolute?"
"He couldn't have crack the seal of his memories..." Noah frowned, seeing Mokuba wince.
"Mokuba," Kaiba voiced. "This turn might very well be my last. There's no way I can fight you. As long as you're by my side, I can continue to fight. And that won't change, neither now nor in the future. Mokuba, bring them back. Surface your memories. All that awaited us at the Kaiba home was a living hell. I thought of giving up countless times. But then, you gave me your Cards. That was what saved me; while staring at the paper Card you made for me, I swore to myself that I would get the real one someday."
"Nii-sama..." Mokuba teared.
"If you hadn't made that Card for me, I would have been done for." Kaiba continued. "My turn. I place one set Card. I'll then activate 'Kaiser Sea Horse's Deck Master Ability. "My 'Different Dimension Dragon' counts as two tributes. Come forth, 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'."
"Blue-Eyes!" Mokuba called out, his memory now fully returned. "Why am I... Noah, you..." he made a break for it.
"Take this, Noah." with Mokuba out of harm's way, Kaiba made his move and had Blue-Eyes take out both 'Gradius'.
"Seto, I praise you for being able to injure me this much." Noah admitted. "But I'm invincible. 'Shinato's Ark', Life Restoration. And here comes your end, Seto. My turn."
"I've been waiting for this moment, Noah." Kaiba burst out laughing. "This is where we truly settle things between the two of us. This is the final round. Trap Card activate, 'Last Turn'. 'Last Turn's effect; I select a Monster on my side of the field, I then send every Card albeit the one I chose to the graveyard. You are then to Summon a Monster from your deck that will engage in battle with mine. Naturally, I'm be choosing 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'."
"I'll choose my Deck Master, 'Shinato's Ark'." Noah made his decision.
"Go, Blue-Eyes." Kaiba ordered his Monster to attack.
"Just kidding." Noah grinned, the 'Shinato's Ark' was destroyed and revealing 'Shinato, King of a Higher Plane'. "That's hardly enough to beat me. Be gone, Seto."
'Shinato, King of a Higher Plane' then took out ''Blue-Eyes White Dragon' with an energy beam.
"Have you forgotten, Seto?" Noah bragged. "That this is the seventh turn of the creation of Heaven and Earth? It's the turn that my Deck Master, 'Shinato's Ark' activates it's final Special Ability. My Deck Master has revealed to you its true form: 'Shinato, King of a Higher Plane'. And as creator, I rise to the throne of God. This is my true form." he merged with 'Shinato, King of a Higher Plane'. "'Last Turn' automatically disregards our Life scores. That battle just now determined the outcome of our duel. Seto, the result is here."
"Nii-sama!" Mokuba ran back to Kaiba. "I'm so sorry. It's all my fault.
"Seto, Mokuba, I hereby deliver onto thee Heaven's Judgment." Noah sneered and turned both brothers into stone.
"You bastard." Yami Yuugi took over, the others running towards the petrified brothers. "You toyed with Kaiba's feelings and went so far as to use Mokuba as a shield. Doesn't your heart hurt, even just a little?"
"It was all part o my plan." Noah shrugged. "All for my complete victory."
"'Complete victory'?" Yami Yuugi snapped. "You're the one who lost this duel. If Kaiba had played 'Different Dimension Dragon' in his turn just now, the Monster wouldn't have been able to be destroyed in battle. If Kaiba hadn't Summoned Blue-Eyes, he would've prevailed by the effects of 'Last Turn'. Kaiba threw away his desire to win and Summoned Blue-Eyes out of love. So he could get Mokuba's heart back. A sad child like you who can't even comprehend the basics of human nature, wants to run Kaiba Corporation? Don't make me laugh. Kaiba still has some of his Life remaining." he picked up the fallen Cards on the ground. "If you want to be the true victor, battle with me now."
"Very well then." Noah accepted.
