Chapter 92: Exodia Necross

That was a reproduction of one of the fights from Battle City. Kaiba mused, stalking off on his own. Without even realizing it, I was lost in a sea of memories. You got me, Noah. Just you wait, Gozaburo. He stopped in front of the main building of Kaiba Corporation. I'll make you open an exit, even if I have to get rough. "My road of battle won't end in a place like this."

In the park...

"So, Noah tricked us in the end." Jonouchi cursed. "He got the best of us."

"Jonouchi, we really don't know that yet." Yuugi reminded, having switched places with Yami Yuugi earlier on.

"But Mokuba's gone, too." Jonouchi pointed out. "He probably got kidnapped by that jerk again."

"Maybe Noah stole Mokuba' body and escaped to the Real World." Otogi suggested.

"Isn't Kaiba missing, as well?" Ami looked around.

"Then Mokuba may be with him." Yuugi added. "Anyway, let's just search for Noah. Otherwise, we wont' get out of this Virtual World."

"Don't look now." Marik warned, as a group of 'Skull Knights' appeared. "We've got company."

Another group of 'Command Knights' manifested, followed by an army of 'Rock Ogre Grotto #1'.

"What the hell's going on here?" Anzu stammered, the group finding themselves surrounded by a group of 'Lizard Soldiers'.

"'Curse of Dragon'!" Yuugi reacted first, sending 'Curse of Dragon' after the 'Lizard Soldier' threatening Shizuka.

"'Axe Raider'!" Jonouchi also went on the offensive.

"Lekunga'." Marik had also sent out a Monster.

In the mobile fortress...

"Switching to Program File M2A5." the computer droned, as Noah, in Mokuba's body, activated the program in the control room. "Changing missile target to floating mobile fortress.

"Seto, I'll use a missile to blow you from this world." Noah promised. "Along with Yuugi and Father. Seto, I'll have the last laugh, not you."

In Kaiba Corporation...

"Good of you to come, Seto." Gozaburo greeted his waylaid son. "I've been waiting to have a nice, long chat with you."

"Don't make me laugh." Kaiba snorted.

"Don't be like that." Gozaburo chided. "We've got plenty of time."

"Even if we had a hundred years to sit and chat, I would only say one thing to you." Kaiba retorted. "Let us return to the Real World at once."

"You know, it's been a while since we used a game to settle one of our disputes." Gozaburo proposed. Just like the time I took you in as my adopted son."

"That would be a waste of time." Kaiba smirked. "If you lost to me as a child, what makes you think you can beat me in chess now? Mizuno gave me more of a challenge than you did."

"Yo really think I would go all out on a child?" Gozaburo mocked.

"It's a little berating to try and deny your loss." Kaiba mocked.

"But we won't be playing chess this time." Gozaburo remarked. "It'll be a duel."

In the duel ring...

"My turn." Gozaburo took the first turn. "The Magic Card, 'Painful Choice'. 'Painful Choice' has me draw five Cards from my deck and show them to my opponent."

"I don't need you to explain the Card to me." Kaiba cut in. "I choose one out of five Cards and you send the rest to the graveyard. And the Card I choose is added to your hand. Show me your Cards already."

"These are the five Cards I have chosen." Gozaburo showed Kaiba the five pieces of 'Exodia the Forbidden One'. "Don't tell me you thought I would challenge you to a duel without doing my research? I have thoroughly analyzed your deck, and the duel you lost miserably as well. "

"Do you think I'm the kind of man that would lost to the same thing more than once?" Kaiba snapped.

"Just choose already." Gozaburo shrugged.

"That one." Kaiba picked 'Right Arm of the Forbidden One'.

"I'll then place one Card in Defense Mode." Gozaburo continued. "Turn end."

"My turn." Kaiba took his turn.

In the mobile fortress...

"Missile target, locked on." the computer sounded as Noah re-positioned the satellite missiles.

"It's game over for everyone." Noah declared, starting the countdown, the program automatically locking itself.

"30 minutes until missile launched." the computer stated as Noah made his getaway.

Midway in the elevator, Noah had a change of heart and hurried back to the control room.

"Damnit!" Noah cursed, as he tried to unlock the program. "Now the missile can't be stopped." left with no choice, he ran off to the control panel located in the capsule room.

In the duel ring...

"I set one Card face-down." Kaiba made his play. "I Summon 'Vorse Raider'. 'Vorse Raider', attack his face-down Defense Monster. Turn over." he growled, seeing 'Vorse Raider' take out 'Right Arm of the Forbidden One'.

"I've been awaiting this moment." Gozaburo grinned. "My turn. I play a Ritual Card from my hand. I activate 'Contract with Exodia'. This Ritual Magic can only be activated when all five Sealed Cards are collected in the graveyard. At the cost of 1000 of my Life Points, I am able to initiate the advert of 'Exodia Necross'. Now Seto, you can see it with your own eyes. The Exodia that beat you once before is about to be resurrected to the field."

"Quit the jokes." Kaiba snapped. "There's no way a weak Monster with only 1800 Attack Points will be able to beat me."

"A weak Monster, you say?" Gozaburo echoed. "It looks like you know absolutely nothing about Exodia to me. 'Exodia Necross' attacks. 'Exodia Necross' is immortal." he mocked. "And it's Attack Power goes up by 1000 points each time it engages in battle. 'Exodia Necross' continues to increase its Attack Power without end until it destroyed everything. Turn over."

"My turn." Kaiba took his turn. "I Summon 'Spirit Ryu'. Also, reverse Card open. I activate Trap Card 'Burst Breath'. I tribute 'Spirit Ryu'. All Monsters on the field with Defense Points less than its Attack Power are automatically destroyed. Why isn't the zero Defense Power Exodia destroyed?" he gaped when 'Exodia Necross' remained in the field.

"Allow me to explained." Gozaburo chuckled. "Each of the Exodia parts in the graveyard hide a unique effect within them. The 'Left Leg of the Forbidden One' gives it the effect to be unaffected by any Magic abilities. The 'Right Leg of the Forbidden One' gives it the effect to be unaffected by Trap Cards. The Left Arm of the Forbidden One' gives it the ability not to be destroyed by Monster effects. The Right Arm of the Forbidden One's effect increases its Attack Power by 1000 points every time it does battle. And finally, 'Exodia the Forbidden One' protects it from being destroyed in battle. It grants the effect of Immortality. 'Exodia Necross' is invincible. There's no way to beat it."

"I set one reverse Card." Kaiba continued his turn. "I switch 'Vorse Raider' into Defense Mode and end my turn."

On the streets of Virtual Domino City...

"Can everyone in Virtual Domino City hear me?" Noah voiced over the speakers. "Seto, and you as well, Father. I have taken Mokuba's body and am currently in the Real World. I have hardly any time here, but I have something to tell all of you. A missile is targeting this floating mobile fortress as we speak. And once it hits, both the Virtual World and the fortress will vanish without a trace."
