Chapter 102: The Three God-Summoning Knights

"Yuugi, it's your turn." Kaiba reminded.

"My turn." Yami Yuugi took his turn. "I Summon 'Big Shield Gardna' in Defense Mode. I then set a reverse Card. Turn over."

"Looks like defending is all you can do." Kaiba mocked. "I can crush you even with my God sealed. My turn. I set a reverse Card. You no longer have a chance at winning. I hope you are prepared to lose, Yuugi. And now, I Summon 'Z-Metal Tank' in Attack Mode. The moment the Magnet Monsters X, Y and Z are present on the field, their Special Ability is activated. Merge: 'XYZ-Dragon Cannon'. 'XYZ-Dragon Cannon' attacks. I'll destroy 'Big Shield Gardna' with this attack. I've destroyed all your Monsters on the field." he took out 'Big Shield Gardna'. "Now, I'll smash your soul without a trace."

"Kaiba, I knew from the start that you'd destroy my lower Defense 'Big Shield Gardna'." Yami Yuugi snorted. "Now you've given me a chance to win. Reverse Card, open. Trap, activate. 'Soul Rope'. The moment my Monster is defeated, this Card let me pay 1000 of my Life Points and call one Four-Star Monster out onto the field. And the Card I pick... I Summon 'King's Knight'. And that's not all. When the King and Queen are both on the field, I can Special Summon the 'Jack' Card from my deck. Like your Magnet Warriors, my deck, too, contains Monsters to help me Summon God. Come forth, 'Jack's Knight'. And now, I have three sacrifices on my field."

"Even in this situation where I was completely on top of this game, you somehow managed to Summon God first?" Kaiba was shocked.

"My turn." Yami Yuugi took his turn. "I offer three tributes to the Heavens. I Summon 'Slifer the Sky Dragon'. Kaiba, it looks like the tables just turned when I invoked Slifer."

"We'll see about that." Kaiba scoffed. "Take a look at your hand. 'Slifer the Sky Dragon's Attack Points are determined by the number of Cards in the player's hand. And this turn, your hand only holds three. 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' has only 3000 Attack Points."

"But your 'XYZ-Dragon Cannon' has only 2800 Attack Points." Yami Yuugi pointed out. "I can easily destroy it with my attack this turn. And if I do, you'll lose you sacrifice. Thus, you wouldn't be able to Summon Obelisk next turn."

"Then, go ahead and try attacking." Kaiba challenged. "What's the matter, Yuugi? Go ahead and attack me. Whether you attack or not, you won't be able to stop me from achieving victory."

"'Slifer the Sky Dragon', attack." Yami Yuugi ordered.

"Reverse Card, open." Kaiba countered. "'Interdimensional Matter Transporter'. I transfer 'XYZ-Dragon Cannon'. Thanks to this Magic Effect, Slifer loses its attack target. It's attack is wasted. It looks like your turn was just wasted, Yuugi." 'XYZ-Dragon Cannon' reappearing on Kaiba's field.

"So I see." Yami Yuugi noted. "A reverse to protect your tributes for God. But my turn isn't over yet. I'll place a reverse Card as well. Turn end. Come on, Kaiba. It's your turn. 'XYZ-Dragon Cannon' might even be strong enough to destroy Slifer without Summoning God. This turn, it's my turn to test your will, Kaiba."

"Say whatever you like, but my next move is already decided." Kaiba declared. "Since it's now my turn, Obelisk will return to my hand, now that 'Lightforce Sword's effect has finally disappeared. I will show you God; I offer 'XYZ-Dragon Cannon' as a sacrifice. 'Obelisk the Tormentor', bend to my absolute will and descend to my domain. Shake Heaven and Earth with your unsurpassed power and bring my victory. I Summon 'Obelisk the Tormentor'. Yuugi, the clash of these titans, the Gods, have finally come. I will defeat your Slifer, I will gather all of the Gods in my very hands. The title of 'Duel King' will be mine."
