For the next few days after the incident, Millie would visit Moxxie's home to see if he was alright. She would knock, ring, and wait for a reply of any kind but nothing ever happened. No one answered the door. There was no sound to be heard. There was just no sign that Moxxie was ok.

A month has passed and she still has yet to see him. She was beginning to get really worried. What if the injury was more severe than she thought? What if he was dead? Millie couldn't wait anymore and went straight to Moxxie's house and pounded on the door. She did this for a while, getting more desperate and panicked as she did. Suddenly there was a sound and Millie stopped her pounding. The door opened to reveal the women again.

The women looked at Millie with a stone-cold glare and said nothing. Millie took a breath and said, "is Moxxie ok?" The woman for a split second got an annoyed look but it instantly went back to her stone face. She then began to close the door again without saying a single word. Millie didn't let her though.

"Please tell me! I am so worried about him! He got hurt protecting me! I have to know if he is alright!" She was so desperate that tears formed in her eyes from worry but the woman showed no sign of caring. She continued to try and close the door but Millie continued to fight to keep it open. "Please tell me!"

"Mother! Please stop!" said Moxxie who was coming down the stairs. The sight of Millie sent a wave of relief to Millie. She lost her strength and fell to the ground. The woman then closed the door on her.

Millie was stunned but then she heard, "Mother!" and the door opened again by Moxxie this time.

Millie was so happy to see him she jumped up and hugged him. Meanwhile, the women glared at her. Millie slowly let go of Moxxie and said, "umm….Moxxie?"

Moxxie instantly knew what she was about to say. "Would you like to come in? I think we all need to talk." He looked at the woman who relaxed her gaze.

Millie was nervous but followed him inside. He led her to the living room which was filled with trophies, awards, and random valuable stuff. Moxxie sat down on a sofa and motioned Millie to sit down next to him which she did. Meanwhile, the women sat in a single chair in front of them.

They all sat in uncomfortable silence until Moxxie spoke. "First Millie…" he looked at her and gestured to the women. "...This is my mother."

"Nice to meet you," Millie said as calmly as she could. The women did not say anything.

"Mother, this is the girl I mentioned. Her name is Millie and…" he took a deep breath. "...I love her." his mother went wide-eyed and finally spoke.

"Do you really love her?" She said trying her hardest to not sound angry.

"Yes."

"Even with all the trouble she has caused you?" she said this with some annoyance in her voice.

"Yes. If anything I caused her more trouble but even so, she still helps me and makes me happy." Moxxie confessed.

His mother then looked at Millie, "and can you honestly say you love my son?"

"Absolutely. There is no guy I love more than him."

The mother stared at them and though it was obvious she was annoyed she said, "fine."

"Does that mean…" Moxxie began.

"Yes. I trust your judgment and will accept your relationship," she said in a monotone voice.

Both Moxxie and Millie gained a wide smile and hugged each other in excitement but then Moxxie's mother said while staring at Millie, "But if I find out my son got hurt because of you again…" she get a very dark evil expression on her face, "...I will personally make sure you regret it."

"Mother!" Moxxie yelled. His mother went back to being stone-faced, got up, and walked away.

"So…does she accept me or not?" Millie asked in confusion.

"She does. I think. She is just a little overprotective of me." Moxxie said blushing in embarrassment.

"A little?" Millie said in doubt.

"It will be fine." Moxxie said but in his head, he was thinking, 'I hope.'

"Ok. so…" Millie looked around as they both sat in silence for a moment. "...how you feelin'?"

"Better." Moxxie unbuttoned his shirt and showed her his shoulder. It is almost completely healed but a scar will definitely remain." Millie leaned in and touched the wound and said, "I am sorry you got hurt."

Moxxie gently embraced her and said, "no matter what happens I will always protect you."

Millie returned the embrace and said, "Me too."

They stayed that way for a while until finally Millie jumped back and said, "OH right! Where did you learn to shoot like that?"

"Oh. After Bruno's threat, I told myself I should get stronger but I knew I could never get strong enough to fight him so I took a skill I already had and continued to practice it."

"You know how to use guns?" Millie said in surprise.

"Actually…" Moxxie then took Millie to a room in the back of the house and revealed that the room was filled with more weapons than she could count. It was not just guns either. Spears, bows, swords, cannons, and anything else you could think of were there too.

Millie could not hide her amazement. "Though my mother hates this stuff, my father loves them and collects them. He was the one who taught me how to use the gun."

"That is amazin'! Where is your father?" Millie asked.

"Out. He is always out. I rarely see him." Moxxie said, showing a bit of sadness.

"Oh sorry," Millie said.

"I'm used to it. Maybe someday you will meet him." Moxxie said.

"I hope so. He sounds amazing." she leaned into Moxxie. "Just like you."

Moxxie blushed and didn't say anything. Just then Millie leaned in for another kiss which Moxxie returned and in no time they were making out. Then whatever they did in that room was only known to them. After that their days continued to be blissful and both hoped that happiness would never end.
