Chapter 115: Barrier of Orichalcos
"Even if ye have 'Valkyrion the Magna Warrior', ye shall be unable to beat a God Card." Gurimo bragged. "Dark Obelisk, attack. Now your key Card is gone. I'll end my turn."
"My turn." Yami Yuugi took his turn. "I'll activate a Magic Card, 'Graceful Charity', with the effect of this Card, I can draw three more Cards and discard two Cards to the graveyard. I'll Summon a Monster in Defense Mode." he Summoned 'Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts' to the field. "Then, set one Card. My turn ends."
"It's my turn." irregardless of the mental strain, Gurimo continued. "I set one Card on the field. Dark Obelisk, attack. It shall happen very soon, it shall happen very soon, Yuugi-dono. Your soul shall be offered up to our God. The soul of the loser shall be offered up to God as a sacrifice. Says he, this world shall be guided down the path of destruction. Be it food to a new, pure world."
"Don't tell me." Yami Yuugi realized. "Did you do anything to Ryuzaki and Haga?"
"Exactly that." Rafael confirmed. "Their souls are in our hands at the moment. They are the offerings for the Ancient God's revival."
"You sealed their souls in Cards?" Yami Yuugi was horrified.
"Go on." Gurimo prompted. "Be it thine turn, Yuugi-dono. If thy does not play a Monster Card this turn, thine soul shall forever perish from this world."
"My turn." Yami Yuugi drew a Card. "Before you worry about my end, you'd better worry about yourself. I activate the Magic Card, 'Monster Reborn'. The Monster I'll revive is 'Valkyrion the Magna Warrior'."
"It's hopeless." Gurimo taunted. "'Valkyrion the Magna Warrior' does not hold enough Attack Power to defeat Dark Obelisk."
"It's true that Dark Obelisk has absolute power." Yami Yuugi concurred. "But if you hold a strength that surpasses that power... the ultimate power of courage. I deactivate combination of''Valkyrion the Magna Warrior'. Next I activate a Magic Card from my hand, 'Brave Attack'."
"What an utterly foolish move." Gurimo mocked. "Art thou maniacal?"
"Let's find out, shall we?" Yami Yuugi fired back. "Look carefully at Dark Obelisk's body."
"Madness." Gurimo was shocked to see a crack in Dark Obelisk's body. "The Magnet Warriors' Attack Points should be inferior to Dark Obelisk's."
"I activated 'Brave Attack', which throws aside all fer and doubt, combining the strength of my Monsters in order to fight against the opposing Monster." Yami Yuugi explained. "And Dark Obelisk's Attack Power is 4500. when it takes, lastly, "Gamma The Magnet Warrior's 1500 Attack Points, what do you think will happen?"
"It's my turn." Gurimo continued. "True it be that Dark Obelisk has disappeared, however, the 'The Seal of Orichalcos' power has only just shown itself. Magic Card, 'Card of Sanctity'."
"How lucky." Yami Yuugi Summoned 'Watapon' to the field. "When this guy is added to my hand by way other than a regular draw, at the moment I get the Card, I can Summon the Monster to the field."
"What can you do with a weakling like that?" Gurimo snorted. "I'll Summon 'Warrior Dai Grepher'."
"Reverse Card, open." Yami Yuugi countered. "'Dark Renewal'. When the opponent Summons a Monster, this Card is able to revive a Magician-Type Monster in the graveyard after sacrificing Monsters from both sides. And the one I'm going to bring back is 'Dark Magician'."
"I'll set a Card and end my turn." Gurimo ended his turn.
"My turn." Yami Yuugi wasted no time in ordering 'Dark Magician' to attack Gurimo directly.
"Quick Play Magic: 'Shield Wall'." Gurimo countered. "You think too little. 'Shield Wall' is able to Summon four 1000 Defense Point Wall Monsters. Thee attack won't even touch me. Yuugi-dono, the real power of 'The Seal of Orichalcos' has just been used. Magic Card, 'Bronze Knights', activate. This Card Summons Bronze Knight Tokens for each Card I discard from my hand. If the fore-running Monsters are not destroyed, you can't attack the Monsters in the back. Use the power of Orichalcos and power up."
"I set two Cards face-down." Yami Yuugi continued. "I'll then Summon 'Queen's Knight' in Defense Mode. My turn is over."
"It's my turn." Gurimo played his turn.
"Trap Card, activate." Yami Yuugi countered. "'Dust Tornado'. This Card is able to destroy one of the opponent's Magic or Trap Cards. I destroy 'The Seal of Orichalcos'."
"Futile effort." Gurimo remarked, 'The Seal of Orichalcos' was still intact. "'The Seal of Orichalcos' is protected by the great power of the Orichalcos. You won't be able to destroy it like that. I'll use the Magic Card, 'The Warrior Returning Alive'. I'll return 'Warrior Dai Grepher' from the graveyard to my hand. Then, Summon it to my field. Absorb the power of Orichalcos. I'll activate Continuous Magic, 'Allied Forces'. This Card is able to enhance the Attack Power of every Warrior by 200 points for every Warrior and Spellcaster face-up on the field. There are four Warriors on the field. Thus, my Monster will gain 800 points. Be gone, 'Dark Magician'. My attack is over." he had a 'Bronze Knight Token' attack 'Queen's Knight'. "Now, your other Monster will be killed as well."
"'Sacrifice Escape'." Yami Yuugi had 'Queen's Knight' dodge the attack. "'Quick Play Magic: 'Magical Academy'."
"'Dark Magician Girl'." Gurimo gaped when 'Dark Magician Girl' appeared on the field.
"After the player discards two Cards from their hand, this Card will Summon a Monster of your choice, while adding two levels and 500 Attack Points to that Monster." Yami Yuugi explained.
"To think you'd offer your Monsters to add Attack Points to another." Gurimo growled.
"And depending on the number of 'Dark Magicians' resting in the graveyard, she can gain 300 Attack Points. It's my turn. Magic Card, 'Diffusion Wave-Motion', activate. By paying 1000 if my Life Points, 'Diffusion Wave-Motion' allows me to attack every Monster on the field."
"Impossible..." Gurimo gaped when every Monster on his field was destroyed. "Rafael-sama, the God Card..." he tossed 'Obelisk the Tormentor' to Rafael before the Orichalcos Stone sealed away his soul.
"Wait." Yami Yuugi glared up at the Three Musketeers. "Give the God Cards back to me."
"You have to defeat all three of us first." Rafael remarked. "Someday, I'll come back to claim your soul. I'll leave these weaklings to you." he freed Ryuzaki and Haga. "Until we meet again, Nameless Pharaoh."
"You wanna run away, you cowards." Jonouchi barked. "Come down and fight us."
"No rush, Katsuya Jonouchi." Valon chuckled. "Well fight you guys soon enough. My name is Valon. Remember it."
"Is he dead?" Honda asked after the three Musketeers retreated.
"No, but his soul is gone." Yami Yuugi replied. "His soul is sealed in the Seal's Card." he picked up the Card prison that held Gurimo's soul.
This feeling... Ami picked up the Orichalcos stone had had fallen from Gurimo's neck. This energy pulse... could it be...
The next day...
"Hi, darling!" Rebecca called out after Jonouchi and Honda thoroughly interrogated Ryuzaki and Haga. "I wanted to see you."
"Who are you?" Yuugi gaped.
"Come on." Rebecca pouted. "Did you forget about our sweet promise? This is the Card I got from my darling." she took out the 'The Ties of Friendship' Card. "It's me."
"Rebecca?" the group chorused.
"You've got a whole different look now." Jonouchi remarked.
"What happened to that bear, Teddy-chan?" Honda asked.
"I outgrew stuff like that." Rebecca snorted. "Because I have a real boyfriend now."
"So, did you come to Japan just to meet Yuugi?" Ami inquired.
"It's actually my grandfather who wants to talk to him." Rebecca replied, hanging onto Yuugi's arm.
At the museum...
"Yuugi." Professor Hopkins greeted the teens. "I have something important to tell you. Yuugi, no, Nameless Pharaoh."
