Chapter 117: Invitation from Pegasus

Later in the morning...

"So what happened last night wasn't just a dream." Anzu noted, the group was watching the news in Yuugi's room.

"Because we still have the Card you got from the Duel Monsters World." Jonouchi looked at the 'The Eye of Timaeus' Card.

"I got something unbelievable." Yuugi nodded.

"So, what are we gonna do now?" Anzu spoke.

"We don't have any clues about the enemies, after all." Ami pointed out.

"We also don't know where the ones who stole Yuugi's God Cards, those 'Musketeers of Doma' guys have gone." Honda reminded.

"Is there anything we can use as clues?" Jonouchi pressed.

"What the hell?" Grandpa Sugoroku entered the room. "It's so loud up here. Yuugi, a parcel came for you today from America." he handed a wrapped package to his grandson.

"Let's see..." Ami peered at the address. "Industrial Illusions... don't tell me..."

"What did you say?" Jonouchi, Honda and Anzu exclaimed.

"Industrial Illusions is the company Pegasus owns, right?" Honda asked, the package was opened to reveal a video tape and a Card.

"Besides this Card..." Anzu added.

"There's a video letter along with it." Jonouchi blinked. "Didn't the same thing happen before Duelist Kingdom? Wouldn't be better off throwing this out?"

"But didn't Pegasus lose the Millennium Eye after Duelist Kingdom?" Ami pointed out. "I think it should be alright."

"Why don't we check it out." Yuugi popped the tape into the recorder.

"Long time no see, Yuugi-boy." Pegasus appeared on screen. "I know this is abrupt, but you should know what's happening around the world right now. Duel Monsters is the game I created. And now these Monsters are being substantiated and have caused a lot of panic around the world. Just what had happened? I've done some research. And I realized one thing: about this thing, I have to talk to Yuugi-boy personally. However, I cannot leave this building. I am being watched by someone. To be completely honest, I am taking a gamble on whether or not this letter even reaches you. But if you safely get it, please take the Card with you and come to America. I will arrange for a plane to pick you up. So please make haste. I will wait for you."

"What's going on here?" Jonouchi wondered after the tape fizzled out.

"We're going to America." Yuugi informed the others.

In 'The Great Leviathan' Temple...

"By capturing the souls of countless duelists and obtaining the power of the three God Cards, the door has been opened." Dartz stated. "However, I cannot believe not only has the nameless Pharaoh obtained the power of that dragon, our great God's greatest nemesis has appeared. Our God has only just been awoken from the long slumber his greatest nemesis has put him in. A great deal of offering shall be required if we wish to keep his strength alive. Nameless Pharaoh, Horae Kheimon, the two of you shall not get in our way any longer. Rafael."

"As you command." Rafael knelt before Dartz. "I'll present the souls of the nameless Pharaoh to our God this time for sure."

"That alone shall not be suffice." Dartz fired back. "If we desire to fully revive our God, we require the souls of as many talented duelists as we can possibly obtain."

"Please let me handle taking the soul of Kaiba Seto." Amelda stepped forward.

"And I'll be taking Katsuya Jonouchi." Valon added. "I'll beat him to a bloody pulp and then I'll steal his soul."

"All for the sake of that woman?" Amelda mocked.

"That's none of your business." Valon retorted. "But why do you insist on sticking with Kaiba so much?"

"And that would be none of your business." Amelda returned Valon's words back at him.

"Will you two get it a rest?" Rafael cut in. "We stand before Dartz-sama."

"Leaving the nameless Pharaoh aside, we desire the soul of another powerful duelist." Dartz informed. "I want you to head towards where Pegasus J Crawford resides. I have already made arrangements for another person to take care of it. All you three need is to pick her up."
