Chapter 1: A Stressful Day

Blitzo was ranting, ranting because he had just had to pay 5000 Devil Dollars to pay for the damage to the IMP headquarter walls; curtesy of Lyle Lipton, Loopty Goopty, and Wally Wackford. "5000! 5000 those damages cost me! All because you were too lazy to fix up those walls! You talentless, baby dicked troll! Do you know how many jobs we'll have to pull off to get that money back Moxxie! All because you couldn't be arsed to fix that shit!"

"I was in the hospital sir!" Moxxie scolded back from the other end of the lengthy table.

"What sort of excuse is that?!"

"A bloody, damn good one! I was in there for back injuries because of those lunatics who have never heard of a fucking front door!"

"And that is a reason not to fix my walls! Give me one good reason I shouldn't hand you a pink slip right now?!"

"Because I was severely injured and in need of surgery you inconsiderate…" Suddenly a hand gently, but firmly, rested on his shoulder. "Moxxie honey, calm down." A worried voice whispered in his ears.

Moxxie wisped around and faced his wife with full fury. "No! I will not calm down! I will not! I was injured Millie! I have just spent twelve weeks in the hospital and I come back to work to this! I can't take it no more! I work hard here! He bullies me! You are my wife and you do nothing! You stand by and do nothing!" Tears were now flooding Moxxie's face. Loona put her phone down, slamming it against the table, in shock that Moxxie was scolding his beloved wife.

"Moxxie…" Millie started.

"No! Don't you dare! You left me helpless under that metal when those idiots crash landed in here! I was frothing at the mouth! You weren't even phased. You don't fucking care about me at all!"

"Moxxie I…"

Moxxie's chest then gripped him like an eagle seizing its helpless prey. He let out one long, loud and struggling gasp. His insides rattling. He then sped out of the office and into the elevator and hit the ground floor. He spent his whole time floating down to floor one with his hand pressed tightly over his chest as he gasped for air, tears streaming down his face and screams escaping his mouth through the struggle. Screams of both fear and frustration. He was not only fearing for his job, but his relationship with his wife too.

He ran to his car. He was dizzy due to his panic attack and on the verge of passing out. Helplessly, he slid against the cars hot metal and allowed his consciousness to slip away. Meanwhile in the office Loona looked up at Blitzo. "What happened to being nice to him after you know, the time with Stolas?" Inquired Loona, stunned at Blitzo's hypocrisy.

Millie's face was drenched with tears. Blitzo looked down at her. "It's hard to be nice to him Looney after the stunt he has just pulled. Look at his wife, she's in tears for Damien's sake!"

"Oh gee I wonder why?" Loona responded sarcastically, rolling her eyes at Blitzo's ignorance.

"Loona is right Blitzo. He has just had major back surgery from what happened that day. He was in no fit state to fix those walls. He's right. He was getting crushed by tons of metal and I didn't bat an eye. He was a right to angry, upset and hurt." Millie then sped towards the office door herself. "I'm going to find my husband." She said.

Moxxie awoke to smooth blows stroking his soft skin. He felt a tame hand stroke his face. He felt dizzy and weak, his eyes remained shut. "My poor sweetie." A voice cooed from above him. Struggling, Moxxie tried to open his eyes. "Mi…Mi…" He tried to speak, but his body was too weak from passing out. "Shhh…" A plush finger pressed softly but firmly against his unsteady lips. "There, there, hush now."

A floppy Moxxie was then carried on to his wife's knees. "I'm so sorry Moxxie. You're right. I shouldn't have left you that day. I should've helped you. I'm so sorry." Millie cuddled her husband like a teddy bear in her arms.

"I'm…sorry…too." Moxxie struggled, all docile in his wife's arms.

"No Moxxie, you have a right to be angry, hurt and upset. What I did was terrible. Come on now, let's get you home. You need rest." Millie put Moxxie back down on the back seat of the car and strapped him in. She then got into the front and drove him home. The engines hummed Moxxie back to sleep.

Millie intended to drive Moxxie home in order to take him to bed and let him rest, but she had to make a stop first. Millie pulled to the front of a store called "Mary Corey's Cures". It was ran by a cat demon called Mary Corey who had been put to death for witchcraft in 1570. Ironically, Mary was a real witch and used her skills in the Pride Ring of Hell to make substances to cure ailments and to help with relaxation and sleep problems. Millie often visited the establishment for Moxxie. She brought him a bottle of Mary's strongest relaxant which she would mix in Moxxie's food. The potion would make her husband sleepy and accommodating, and would often put him in a drunk and sleepy state until he succumbed to sleep. He would always wake up the next day relaxed, happy, calm and romantic. It worked a treat for when her husband had a stressful day and when his anxiety and his temper were out of the roof.

Millie picked up her "usual" bottle of "Relax nice 'n' EZ" from the shelf. But, what Millie did not notice was the small orange band around the label which read in white letters "regression formula". Millie placed the bottle on the counter. "Millie, how nice to see you again." Smiled Mary, scanning the item and placing it into a paper bag. "How's the hubby?"

"He's having a rough day." Millie sighed.

"Oh dear. Well, I hope this will make him feel better, all nice and relaxed."

"It always does the trick, and he needs it, the poor guy."

"Yes, I heard there was a nasty work place accident. How did his surgery go?"

"Fine. He recovered well. He's had a clash with our boss. Blitzo was being a jerk and I didn't do much to stop it. He's had one of his episodes. I'm taking him home."

"The best place for him if Blitzo is being an arse. I hope everything is ok Millie."

"It'll be fine Mary. I'll have him sorted. Between you and me, he loves my nurture."

"I'm sure he does."

"By the way, before I head out, thank you for those pain killers and massage oils you sent me when my husband was hospitalised. They really did him the world of good. Made things far more pleasant for him."

"Always happy to help. That'll be $9.95."

"Here, keep the change." Millie smiled, handing Mary $10 note before taking her purchase back to the car and driving back to the Wrath Ring to get Moxxie settled in at home.
