It is time...
"May I come in?"
Helia couldn't lie and say that he wasn't shocked to see Flora in front of him at his bedroom door. She was still dressed in her white gown from the ball and he wanted nothing more than to grab her and pull her into his room. To kiss her senseless and tell her how absolutely sorry he was. He would tell her that he would do anything for her not to hate him because there was no way that she could love him after what he had done. He had held onto a secret plan that had involved her and he had kept her in the dark. The betrayal she must have felt, still feels, made Helia's heart ache for the woman that stood in front of him. He wanted to pull her in but all he could do was nod his head.
Flora walked past Helia, the smell of chocolate and something sickly familiar and unlike Flora. The scent of peaches had left her body and the remaining smell of cinnamon from the cake had been long gone. Even the look on her face was something that he had never seen before. Was this the same Flora? She had sounded like Flora and she looked like Flora but there was something off about her. Though Helia supposed that the somber look on her face was his own doing.
Entering the room, Flora stood at the foot of Helia's bed, her hand running up her arm as a way of comforting herself. Her eyes were locked to the stone ground as Helia softly shut the door behind him.
It was silent. Too silent as Flora looked at the ground and Helia looked at Flora. Neither wanted to say anything but Helia said that he didn't want to talk and Flora replied that they didn't need to. But Helia wanted to talk to her and tell her how sorry he was for what he did. He just knew that whatever he said, it wouldn't be enough, but he had to say something.
"Flora I-"
"I won't do it."
Helia looked ahead to Flora, her eyes still focused on the ground as she spoke.
"What?" Helia asked, his voice softer than what Flora had ever heard before.
"I won't do it. I won't marry him. I can't...I don't...I will not marry Duncan." Flora replied as she brought her eyes up to look at Helia. Once somber now filled with angry determination. Even when she had yelled at him Helia had never seen this look in Flora. Flora had told him that she was dangerous and at this moment, Helia was inclined to believe her.
"I don't want you to marry him either."
That was all Helia could say. He knew that it wasn't enough but he figured that at this moment something was better than nothing.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Flora took a step towards Helia, "Why didn't you tell me that your father and Duncan had come to an agreement? I know that you wouldn't have agreed to this arrangement." Flora brought her gaze up to look sheepishly up at Helia through her eyelashes, afraid of the answer that he might give her, "Or did you? Did you agree?"
"Of course not!" Helia exclaimed as his eyes shot open in shock that she would even think that he would agree that she be married off to someone as terrible as Duncan. "I would never agree to something like that. Never."
Flora took a deep breath and her voice and eyes softened back to the Flora that Helia knew.
"You should have told me, Helia."
"I know. I wanted to tell you." Helia took a tentative step towards Flora, "I knew I should have told you the first night that I knew. But every time I saw you smile at me, I just couldn't do it. I didn't want to ruin the moments that we had together with the news of my father's plan. I thought that keeping it from you would have allowed you to be happy in the small reality that we had created together. Where we weren't bound by duty, and we could just be ourselves. But I have quickly realized that the only person I was trying to keep happy was myself. It was selfish and I know that you hate me-"
"Hate you?" Flora interjected, "I don't hate you, Helia but I should. I should want nothing to do with you. I want to shoot thorns into your eyeballs, but I love you so much that I can't be mad at you which makes me even angrier. I thought that you loved me too! How could you keep something like that from me? How long have you known? How long have you known that I would be married to a man who makes my skin crawl? I had to come to the realization that I would be spending the rest of my life with that man in the middle of a crowded ballroom where the only reaction I could have was to smile and nod politely like a good and dutiful handmaiden. I wanted to scream. I wanted to run away. I wanted the floors to cave in and take me down with it. Helia, I can't bear to think of what we will have to do as husband and wife."
Helia's jaw clenched as he took in what Flora was saying about her and Duncan. He didn't want to think of it either.
"What's worse is that I am angry at myself." Flora brought a hand up and put it to her chest, "I thought that I could really be happy here, that we would find a way to be happy together. I had forgotten about Her Highness and the fact that you are to marry her in a few months' time. I feel stupid for allowing myself to dream of a world where we would be happy, Helia. I'm just some stupid farm girl who should have learned a long time ago to just give up. I hate myself for thinking that anything could get better. I should have believed what you told me about dreams, they are useless." Flora's face began to turn a bright pink and her eyes became glassy as tears threatened to fall from her eyes. She didn't want to cry in front of Helia, she wanted to stay strong.
"Please don't say that, Flora." Helia closed the gap between himself and Flora. He raised his hands and wiped away the tears that fell onto her cheeks, willing the ones that were returning to his eyes not to fall. "I am the one who messed up. I was a fool back then and I am a fool now. I should have told you the minute I knew what my father and Duncan had planned but I just couldn't. So please, hate me. I am the only one who has done anything wrong. I am the one who begged you to be with me and told you that everything would be okay. And now, I have made you cry and...Flora, I love you so much and you deserve someone better than me."
Flora raised a hand to Helia's cheek, feeling the smooth skin of his freshly shaven face.
"No, I don't. You are perfect for me and that is the problem. I can't imagine my life without you in it and if I marry Duncan, I will be his. I want you or no one. I could never hate you, Helia. I don't want anyone else. Please, just promise me that there will be no more secrets between the two of us, that we will tell each other everything important before you are married to the princess. I want to know the good and the bad. Please, Helia."
"Anything, Flora. Anything you want. Ask me for the moon and I will find a way to give it to you. No more secrets."
Helia stepped away from Flora's touch and ran his hand up and down his neck. He let out a small chuckle as he felt a wave of relief cover him.
"What's wrong?" Flora asked.
Helia spun around on his heels and smiled at Flora, "When I left the ball I thought that I had lost you. I thought that you hated me and that you would want nothing to do with me. I have disappointed you and it made me realize that if I lost you, if you ever stopped loving me, I...Flora I..."
Helia stammered as he looked at Flora and tried to find the words to say. He had just been on the floor crying moments ago because he thought that he had lost the one thing, the one person, in his life that had given him any happiness. He never wanted to do anything to jeopardize the relationship that they had. Even if Helia had to marry Krystal, he would always love Flora and would make sure that she knew that. Krystal was his duty, but Flora was his heart, life, and soul. But things were now complicated now that Flora was aware that she would be married to someone else. Flora wasn't like him. She was good and would stay loyal to any man who was her husband. Helia couldn't care less about the people he hurt to make Flora happy, but Flora's heart was too big for this world, and she would cast Helia aside in order to be the perfect wife and mother. Flora would be Duncan's the minute he covered her in the marriage shroud.
Flora would have her own home to take care of. She would no longer care for Krystal but instead, the children that she would have with Duncan. He didn't want to think about that. The only time that he would see her would be for formal events held for the entire court. He couldn't call for her to the palace for his pleasure, the scandal would be too much for Flora to handle. And she said that she would not be his mistress. As much as she hated Duncan, Helia knew that she would be the picture of a model wife.
But that doesn't mean that he wouldn't spend his time making sure that she knew his feelings for her until the moment he drew his final breath.
"...Flora, I don't know what I would do if you ever told me that you didn't love me. I don't want to think about it because when I do I feel like my world is ending and I feel so empty."
"I don't want you to think about that." Flora reached forward and grabbed Helia's hand, "I love you so much, Helia. I hate that you kept something like this from me, but I still love you more than words can say and I always will. Even when you mess up and I am angry with you. Being with you has made me the happiest I have been since the day I lost Miele and my parents. That's why I can't marry him, Helia. I won't. He's vile and nothing like you. You make me happy, and he makes me want to retreat into myself. He makes me feel small. He looks at me the way the guards at the prison looked at me when they were trying to determine where I would go. I never want to feel like that again."
Flora stepped forward and placed Helia's hands on her hips, "The only one I ever want to touch me is you, Helia. I don't care if I have 7 months or 70 years left with you Helia, I want to enjoy every moment I have with you. And if I must marry Duncan, I will not let his hands be the first to touch me and," Flora's voice trembled as she looked up at Helia, "he won't be the only person I will share a bed with."
Helia sucked in a sharp breath through his teeth as he looked down at Flora's both nervous and serious expression. She couldn't possibly mean what she was implying, could she?
"Flora..." Helia exhaled, "are you sure? You have always been so...I thought that..."
"I can't let Duncan be the first. Duncan made me dance with him and all I could smell was the alcohol on his breath and his hands felt so foreign on me. Your hands feel like they were meant to be on me. I don't want his hands to be the first to touch me. I can't have him be the first man to..." Flora took a deep breath, "I was taught it was meant to be shared with the person that you love and trust most in this world. I love you, Helia. More than anything else in this world. And I couldn't imagine being with anyone other than you. I want you, Helia. Unless you don't want me."
"Not want you?" Helia chuckled, "I was a mess thinking of the possibility of you never wanting me again. I could never not want you. I just don't want you to look back and realize that you made a mistake-"
Helia was silenced when Flora placed a slender finger on his lips. She gave him a soft smile before she rose onto her toes and placed a kiss on Helia's lips. Helia gladly gave in to the kiss, knowing how fucking lucky he was that she still wanted anything to do with him. His hands on her hips tightened as he pulled her closer to him, wanting to be as close to her as he could. His fingertips touched the exposed skin on her sides and Helia's mind began to spin. He didn't dare imagine what it would be like if Flora were serious about her request.
Flora slowly broke the kiss, the feeling of her lips lingering on Helia's as he missed the warmth and pressure. She backed away out of his arms and took a deep breath.
"I love you, Helia. I don't think I can ever say it enough. I will not have Duncan ruin something special. Please Helia..."
Flora's voice drifted away as she reached up behind her neck and under her hair. Grabbing the end of cloth that had been tied around her neck, holding her dress in place, she pulled on one and let the cloth fall.
Time stopped and Helia felt the air leave his lungs as the white cloth floated down from her chest. The rest of the fabric followed suit before Flora stood naked in front of him with a pile of soft, white, fabric at her feet. Helia knew that Flora was beautiful, anyone with working eyes and any sense could see that but as Flora stood in front of him completely bare, Helia truly understood what beauty was.
Tan legs connected smoothly to the curve of rounded hips. His eyes stayed on her hips, desperate to touch every inch. The marks on her pelvis from years of growth stretched up to the smooth skin of her stomach where her arms unconsciously wrapped around herself in a poor effort to cover herself up. Helia's eyes finally moved up to her breasts, the same breasts that had been clothed by a pink gown and covered by his pale palms the night before. He was desperate to touch them again, he wanted to hold and explore every part of her body.
"I have been too forward again." Flora blushed as she held herself tighter, "My mother always told me that I had been too eager and outspoken for my own good and now I have really made a mess of things."
Flora made an effort to bend down and grab the white fabric at her feet but before her hands could connect with the dress, she felt her feet suddenly lifted off of the ground. She let out a small yelp as Helia cradled her body in his arms and placed her gently on his bed. The furs on the soft mattress tickling her bare back and the flowers from her hair mixing in with the dark materials of Helia's bedding.
Helia looked down at Flora, taking in the sight of her on his bed. Naked and wanting him. He had fantasized about the moment for what felt like a lifetime, and he needed to make sure that he wasn't dreaming. When her hands reached up and softly rested against his leg, Helia realized that he wasn't dreaming. Perhaps he was dead. His father and Duncan finally got what they had always wanted and Helia now had what he had wanted. Honestly, it was an ideal situation for all involved. But he couldn't be dead, there was no way that he would have been granted an afterlife of such happiness. He and Flora would definitely be in different places when their time came to an end in the world of the living.
"Is there something wrong?" Flora asked, her arms once again threatening to cover her body as Helia gazed down at her.
"Don't." Helia grabbed Flora's wrists in his hands and held them at her sides, "Nothing is wrong. Please don't cover yourself. You are just...Flora you are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined or hoped for. I am lost in thought as to if any of this is real."
"Of course it is real," Flora smiled, "why would it not be?"
"I never thought that I would ever be blessed with someone as kind and loving as you. Someone like you shouldn't exist, you cannot be real. I am just in disbelief and question everyday why someone as beautiful as you, both inside and out, could ever claim to love someone like me. I constantly have to make sure that every time that you smile at me or kiss me that any of it is a dream."
Flora blushed and averted her eyes away from Helia's loving and awestruck gaze. She was not used to people looking at her like that. Ha, nobody had ever looked at her like that. People usually looked at her like something to be feared, protected, or conquered. His eyes were gentle and without the usual discerning characteristic. Helia looked at her as if she were meant to be adored and that she was someone precious to him. She had to look away of she feared that she would melt right into his bed.
"Please don't look away from me," Helia removed a hand from around Flora's wrist and brought it to her chin before turning her head so that her eyes met his, "you have the most striking eyes."
Flora's lips parted as Helia bent down and placed his lips gently on Flora's. The bed moved under her as Helia crawled on top of her, hovering over her as he moved his lips over hers. His hands now released Flora's wrist and she was free to touch Helia anywhere and anyway that she wanted. Her hands immediately went to his face. Helia always talked about how much he hated his face, that his features had been passed down from his father. However, Flora didn't see the cruelness of Azrael in Helia's face but instead the strong features of a man who while stubborn and a little standoffish was thoughtful and caring. Flora thought that Helia's face was gorgeous, and she loved holding it in her hands.
Helia was desperate to touch Flora, but he didn't know where to start, sure that anywhere would be perfect, but he wanted his touch to be perfect for her. His left hand found its place on her hip, his favorite place to touch her, and his right hands was busy holding his body up so that he would not crush her under his weight.
Her skin was warm under his touch, and he moved his hand softly up and down her hip and to the bottom of her ribs. His fingertips were light on her skin and sent shivers up her spine. Flora arched her back off the bed as a jolt went through her body. Her hands left his face as her arms wrapped around his neck, holding herself up, desperate to deepen the kiss.
Helia needed to feel more and with much more than his hands.
Removing his hand from Flora's side, Helia lifted himself up and straddled himself above Flora, his thighs caging her in beneath him. He reached down to the buttons of his official jacket and made quick work of the silver buttons on the black fabric. He hated black and was always more than ready to strip out of his official royal clothes but as Flora lay naked under him, Helia wanted nothing more than to burn them right off of his body. With the buttons fully undone, Helia shrugged out of the black jacket and threw it against the wall, the jacket landing on the floor with a clumsy thud and clang of the silver buttons and rank medals. He didn't care about any of that. No amount of titles or prestige mattered when he was with Flora.
Helia lowered his lips back down to Flora's, their soft warmth creating a fire deep in the pit of his stomach. The emptiness that he once felt inside at the thought of losing Flora was filled with an overwhelming heat. Comfortable, like sitting with her in front of the fire in the kitchen but he was desperate for the flames to consume him. He broke their kiss again if only for a few moments to remove the off-white shirt from his body. When he pulled off his shirt, it snagged on the forgotten crown on top of his head.
Flora reached up and grabbed the silver crown on top of his head and gave it to Helia.
"I believe this is yours." Flora whispered.
Helia looked down at the silver crown in Flora's hand and gently took it from her. Without a second thought, Helia threw the crown and it landed with a loud clang on the stone floor.
"Helia!" Flora exclaimed as her head turned towards the discarded crown on the floor of his bedroom.
"It's just a scrap of metal."
"Helia..." Flora turned her head back to face Helia, "You are the Crown Prince of Hademort and your crown is priceless. You should be more careful with it."
"No crown will ever be worth what you are to me. I told you, if I need to, I will tell my father he can take all the crowns in the gallery tower and shove them all up his-"
Flora once again brought a finger to Helia's lips before leaning up and placing a soft kiss on them. Her hands moved down from his shoulders to his chest, feeling the smooth skin that stretched across his pectorals. He looked like the statues in the royal gardens of Linphea, but he was warm, and her hands rose and fell with every breath he took.
Helia's lips moved from Flora's and made their way down to her jaw and then her neck. Flora took in a deep breath as she felt her breath seize in her chest. His lips under her ear felt amazing and she let out a soft moan. Music to Helia's ears as he placed light kisses up and down the tan column of Flora's neck, feeling her pulse under his lips. She really was real. Another moan rumbled through her throat and Helia needed to hear more.
From her neck, he moved down until he reached the peaks and valleys of her collar bone, placing a kiss in the small divots. She swallowed and Helia brough his lips to the top of her chest where he placed a kiss on the soft skin. He placed another kiss lower to where the flat skin across her chest began to pull away under the weight of her breasts.
"Is this alright?" Helia asked. Flora silently nodded her head as she struggled to find the strength to do anything other than moan. She was desperate for Helia's lips to be back on her skin.
"Lower." Flora managed to say through a scratchy voice. Her hands began to card through Helia's long hair, now free from the low ponytail that he had worn before. Helia loved it when Flora's fingers ran through his hair and in addition to his heart, Helia supposed that Flora now owned his hair. His father hated his long hair, Saladin liked the connection that he and Helia had with their long hair, but their opinions meant nothing compared to Flora's opinion. Flora's opinion meant everything to him and so did her commands. He might be the prince and he had told her time and time again when they had first met but he would gladly do whatever Flora would tell him.
So he lowered his lips and placed a tentative kiss on the top of Flora's right breast. Her back arched and her hands stilled in his hair, pulling at the dark strands, and begging for more. The kiss became more confident against her body, and his mouth opened to taste more of her sweet skin. Helia's tongue was hot on the tan skin of her breast and the fleshy mound was smooth and curved against the flat plane of his tongue. Another moan escaped Flora's parted lips and Helia looked up to see Flora's eyes closed and her cheeks a bright pink. Helia moved his lips and captured a dusky nipple in his mouth.
Flora's moans became louder and the grip on Helia's hair tightened. His mouth felt so good, and never would she think that she would be in this situation. After everything that happened all those years ago, she never imagined that she would be underneath the man of her dreams or any man for that matter. Even more, she would have never imagined that a prince from a distant land would willingly have his mouth and hands all over her. It was like the stories that her father would tell her when she was a child and the stories that Helia would read to her at night. Magic existed, she knew that, but so did true love and she had found that with Helia. She was like a proper Cinderella. A prince falling in love with a servant girl. Helia had made her feel so much less alone in the world. She never thought that she would feel that way.
Helia removed his mouth from Flora's breast and placed a fast kiss on her left breast. His lips pressed another kiss on Flora's sternum and then on the top of her stomach. He wanted to go lower, to press his mouth against Flora's hips, her legs, and the space between. He could smell the musky scent that mixed with peaches that reminded him of the warm summer nights on Solaria. It brought him peace and the fact that the smell came from Flora made him excited in the midst of the placid calm. He was so excited to dive in to capture the full smell and taste of Flora, but his desires were thwarted when Flora pulled him back up to her lips and she clung to him as her tongue shot into his mouth, tasting her skin on his tongue.
Flora's hands moved from his hair to his face, down his jaw and neck back down to his chest. She didn't know where to place her hands, she wanted to place them everywhere. She couldn't get enough, and she felt as though that she always needed to have her hands on him to make sure that he was real and still with her. Flora couldn't dare think about doing any of this with Duncan. His hands felt nothing like Helia's, and he didn't want to imagine his lips on her.
"Flora are you alright?" Helia asked as he felt Flora's hands tremble on him.
Flora nodded, "Yes, I just," she swallowed, "I just want this so much and I can't imagine being with anyone other than you. I'm ready, Helia."
All Helia could do was nod and nod rapidly. He was ready too, more than he thought that he would ever be. He had spent his whole life trying to please his father that he had never thought much about any of the women that came into his life. Women on the court would throw themselves at him, trying to curry favor with the young prince. But nobody had ever captured his attention in the way that Flora had. She was the first woman that he had in his bed, and he was going to do his best to make sure that she was happy by the end and want to be with him again. If he had it his way, whether there was any form of further intimacy or not, he would never have Flora leave his side again.
Running a hand along the side of her face, Helia locked eyes with Flora. He wasn't lying when he said that her eyes were his favorite features. There was very little green in Hademort save for the dull green of the snow-covered pines in the mountains, but Flora's eyes made up for it. They gleamed and were always so full of life, even when she was tired or cross at him or someone else.
Helia reached down to the waistband of his black pants and silently pulled them down. It was so silent as he just looked down at Flora. As he threw the rest of his clothing to the corner of his bedroom, it all became so real that he was in his bed, naked, with Flora. It was like a fucking dream.
Gripping his cock, Helia took a deep breath to stop the anticipation of being inside of Flora overwhelming his senses. Just thinking about it was going to send him to an early grave. His head was spinning, and he needed to get a fucking grip.
With his free hand, Helia placed it on one of Flora's knees, slowly pushing it to the side and spreading her legs apart. Helia took another deep breath and bent down to press a kiss to Flora's forehead.
"Are you sure, Flora? I don't want you to regret doing this with me. I don't want you to hate me after. I don't want you to feel like you made a mistake and you should have waited until you were married. I know that-"
"Nothing that I have done with you has ever been a mistake." Flora stroked the pale hand that was on her knee, "I want you to be the first. And if I had it my way, you would be the only one."
"I love you so much, Flora."
"I love you too."
Helia placed another kiss on Flora's forehead as he rose up and inhaled, the smell of peaches hitting his nose. The familiar scent of his Flora once again returning to his senses. His eyes never left Flora's as he lined himself up with Flora, feeling the wet heat between her legs cover the tip of his cock.
This was it.
Flora held his gaze as she gave him a final nod and relaxed her body with a low exhale. Helia's grip tightened on her knee as he slowly moved his hips forward. Flora shut her eyes and let out a soft gasp as Helia entered her. It was painful but nothing that she couldn't handle. The love she had for Helia outweighed any temporary pain she was experiencing.
She was so warm and so, so tight. It was better than he had ever imagined and much better than the mornings that he would spend thinking about what this moment would be like with his cock in his hand. He was finally in Flora, something that he never thought would happen. She wanted him the same way that he wanted her. She felt perfect and Helia was finding it hard to come back to his senses, that was until Flora wiggled underneath him, adjusting herself to the uncomfortable pressure between her legs.
Helia returned to reality and when he did, the first thing he did was kiss Flora. He didn't know if it was out of love for the woman beneath and around him or out of gratitude. Being so close to Flora, knowing that they had chosen each other for this moment was more than Helia could have ever hoped for. He would forever be grateful for this moment. Even when his day was absolute shit because of his father, the court, or Duncan, Helia would look back on this moment with Flora.
Flora let out a soft and breathy moan as Helia began to move his hips, rocking slowly in and out of her. The pain and uncomfortable pressure had subsided, and Flora was welcomed with a wash of pleasurable relief. Her face relaxed and she opened her eyes to see Helia above her, his blue eyes hooded as his hips moved. She placed one hand on his forearm and the other made a move to grab his hand at the side of her head. Flora locked her fingers with his and turned her head to kiss his knuckles.
"Helia..."
His name left her lips and Helia had to do everything within his power not to finish right then. He had to make sure she had been satisfied as well; he certainly was. He was more than satisfied just knowing that she had any kinds of positive feelings for him. He began to move his hips faster and Flora's grip on his arm and hand tightened. She bit down on her lip and shut her eyes. Helia thought she looked amazing just like that.
Helia took the hand that was connected to Flora's and raised it above her head and took his other hand to place on the dark wood headboard behind his bed. His lips found hers in a sloppy and heated kiss. He wished that he was more graceful, but it was so hard to be coordinated and graceful in this moment. Nobody would judge a starving man for devouring a feast fit for a king. He was a man starved and Flora was more than enough to sate him.
He was about to explode with his love for Flora and he had to get it out as quickly as he could. His hips began to snap against Flora's at a maddening pace as he struggled to control himself. She just felt so fucking good.
His lips moved on Flora's as the bed underneath them shook with his movements. As Flora's nails dug into his arm, Helia was brought back to his fantasies and once again, reality had been much better than what his mind could have ever imagined. Helia released Flora's lips as he groaned out her name, not knowing what else to say as the pleasure had overtaken his senses.
Moans turned into vocalized pants as Flora's breath became shallow and the now pleasurable pressure grew inside of her with every thrust. She didn't know a lot about sex, but nobody told her it would feel like this. Nobody told her how absolutely amazing she would feel as she was intimately connected with the person she loved most. She could never feel this way about anyone else. Everything about being with Helia felt right, however, as Helia continued to move inside of her, she began to glow green. But neither she nor Helia paid it no mind. Flora was too lost in the new pleasure and Helia had accepted whatever fate he might ever meet as a result of Flora's magic.
"Mmmmm...Helia..." she called out his name again.
Helia removed his hand from the headboard and to Flora's thigh, his other hand still in Flora's, never wanting to let go. His head dropped and he was immediately welcomed to the sight of his cock glistening as it moved in and out of Flora. It was the most erotic thing that he had ever seen. Granted he had never seen anything remotely close to what he was viewing before. As Flora huffed and moaned beneath him, Helia's grip on Flora's thigh tightened, surely to leave bruises the size of his fingertips on her soft flesh.
The pressure was building inside of Flora, turning into a low-burning heat in her abdomen. It threatened to explode from within her like the volcanoes that she had heard about in the wild lands of Pyros. She wrapped her legs around Helia, silently begging him to go harder, deeper, and faster. She needed more and Helia was more than happy to oblige. As Helia moved, the glow around her grew brighter and soon from the small cracks in the stone wall against the bed, green ivy began to sprout and small, white petals began to rain down above them.
"Fuck...Flora..." Helia groaned as he moved in and out of Flora, completely oblivious to the foliage growing and falling around them. He knew that she didn't like it when he cursed but what else was he supposed to say? She felt amazing and he was close to reaching completion, he was a little lost for words. "I fucking love you."
"Helia..." Flora moaned, "...ohhhh..."
It exploded. The pressure inside of her had built up and Flora threw her head back and with a loud yell, she arched her back and came under Helia. The ivy shot out from the wall and covered the grey stone in a blanket of green and the fur that covered Helia's bed had been buried under white petals.
With a final snap of his hips, Helia removed his hand from Flora's thigh and from her hand to pull Flora close to his chest. He let out a loud grunt as he stilled inside of Flora with a thrust and spilled inside of her. Feeling Flora climax around him and reaching an orgasm of his own was more pleasing than finishing inside of his hand in the morning. As he held her, Helia felt Flora's burning body shake in his arms. The green glow began to fade but the trembling remained causing his arms to quiver around her. The soft sound of sniffling filled Helia's ears, and he slowly put Flora back down on the bed to find tears falling from her eyes.
Shit.
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.
"Flora, I...I'm so sorry...I..."
Flora shook her head, "No, no, Helia. I'm sorry for crying I just-"
Helia immediately withdrew out of Flora, hating the way it felt being disconnected from her, but he hated seeing her cry even more. He messed up...again...
"Did I hurt you? Did I make a mistake? I'm sorry that I didn't withdr-"
Flora reached up with tired arms and grabbed Helia's face, "You have done nothing wrong, Helia. I just love you so much. I don't want..." Flora sniffled as she wiped her eyes, "I don't want to marry him. Please, don't make me marry him. I can't be this way with him, only you. I want to be with you. I only want your hands on me, and I never want to share a bed with anyone else. I can't do this. Please, Helia. I can't marry him. I can't. I can't. I can't."
Helia slowly fell to Flora's side and pulled her naked body into his arms as she cried into his bare chest. She trembled and her body was so warm in his arms. His fingertips grazed Flora's back, the sweat on her body disappearing from her skin as the wetness of her tears stained his chest. Helia wanted to tell Flora not to worry, that he would sort it all out. But he couldn't.
Helia had been trying to think of a way to tell his father that he wanted to be with Flora, but he couldn't. He had to make sure that she was safe but now Duncan had become an even stronger barrier in their dream towards being together. If Helia's father was dangerous, Duncan was downright volatile. Helia couldn't promise her something that he was uncertain of whether he would be able to give it to her. She had been heartbroken and betrayed by people that she thought loved her, Helia did not want to be added to that list. Helia would never put her through that again.
So he didn't say anything. He just continued to rub Flora's back and hold her close, hoping that she would find some sort of comfort in the touch. It was all he could do though he was dying to do more. Soon Flora's breathing began to calm down and quiet moments passed until she fell asleep in his arms. He looked down at her face, so tranquil and her lips were parted as she breathed in and out. She was even beautiful when she slept.
Helia finally looked around and took in the state of his bedroom, ivy hanging from the wall and petals covering his bed. He let out a soft chuckle, he supposed that it was better than thorns in his face or anywhere else on his body. She said that she had been working on trying to control her magic around him, he quite liked this form though. Helia brushed away the flower petals from the bed and grabbed the thick bedding and pulling it over him and Flora. She snuggled into Helia's chest as she settled under the warmth of the blankets and Helia's arms. Helia continued to absentmindedly stroke Flora's hair, the small white flowers falling out, as Helia thought about what to do.
While he and Flora had accepted the very strong possibility of him being married to Krystal, there was no way that Helia would see Flora married to someone like Duncan. At first it was because he was being selfish, he had wanted Flora all to himself. But when Flora broke down after coming down from her orgasm and begged Helia to stop the marriage, Helia was more determined to do anything to stop Flora's marriage to Duncan. He had to get thinking but that was a problem for a time when he wasn't naked with Flora in his arms. And to avoid a situation like tonight, they would think of something together. He wouldn't make any kind of decision without Flora's input.
So planning would wait for another time.
Placing a kiss on the top of Flora's head, Helia pulled Flora as close to him as he comfortably could and closed his eyes. She was really his and in his arms. He hadn't lost her. She loved him and they had shared such an intimate experience with one another. Flora decided to share that with him and she was still here, still real, sleeping in his arms.
With Flora sleeping peacefully at his side and the feeling of her breath of his chest, for the first time in what felt like forever, Helia gently drifted off to sleep and excited for what the next day would bring.
