Castiel couldn't help thinking about what Anna said. Super Soldiers for Heaven. As horrifying as it sounded, was it so bad? There was a War coming. War against their Father. Castiel stared blankly at the television. It was his day off, a student was working now. Since Hannah was out, he was just sitting around doing nothing.

He was just sitting there when he heard wings.

"Phew. It sure smells in here." An angel with a slight French accent quips.

"Balthazar." Castiel didn't look up.

"Really? I come here to pick you up, and you look like a bum."

"You came here to pick me up? What's the occasion?" Castiel couldn't remember anything. Maybe because he drank himself to sleep. He was worried Jack's grace was used for Michael's army.

"My grandson's birthday is today. Go, take your shower! Go! I will drive you there.''

A while later they were driving down the road.

"Balthazar, why didn't you fly? It is much quicker." Castiel was all showered and cleaned, he was even wearing his old trench coat.

"Because I'm undercover. Remember? Everyone thinks I'm dead."

"Right." Everyone, including Castiel believed he was killed during the First War. "You have a grandson? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I didn't know what to say. You'll like him, he is a very smart first grader." Balthazar already had his gifts in his trunk, including a autographed bat from Babe Ruth himself.

"What's his name?" Castiel was too hung over to keep up a proper conversation.

"Xavier."

"Is he human?" Balthazar told Castiel about Jane. Her heart was taken, so far no one knew who did it.

"Of course he's human. He has no angelic blood in him. Jane, my sweet daughter was afraid of her biological offspring would be hunted." Balthazar teared up thinking about his daughter. He tried, but he knew Jane was gone. The Empty, It won't release Its property. "He is mortal, however he is a male witch. Already he knows how to perform magic."

Castiel nodded. Fatherhood. Balthazar was the last one he expected.

"So, Xavier. What's he like?"

"He is shy, but once he opens up, he likes to talk. Especially about sports. His adoptive parents are very nice." Balthazar, he made sure of it. Luckily they were kind hearted.

Castiel looks out the window. He prayed Jack was okay. Plus Claire.

"Here we are."

Castiel looked up. Typical suburban home, two cars and a yard. Reminds him of home.

A while later, Castiel was singing Happy Birthday to Xavier. Once he blew out the candles, Castiel applauded with everyone else.

Castiel was talking to the party hosts, talking about random things, when he saw Balthazar showing his grandson how to hold a bat. He couldn't help but smile. His old friend was smiling hard. Clearly he loved his grandson.

"So Jimmy, any children?" Brenda, Xavier's adoptive mom asked.

"I have two. A son and a daughter."

"How old are they?" Godfrey, Xavier's father asked.

"They are now grown. Both already live on their own."

"You must have been quite young."

"They were both adopted. Excuse me." His phone rang. "Hello?" Once he was out of earshot.

"Agent Beyoncé! How long has it been?" A British man asked.

"Hello. Crowley." Castiel wanted to roll his eyes. He disliked that demon.

"Agent Jay-Z to you." He joked.

"What do you want?"

"Not over the phone. Come meet me at the Brown Minx Lounge in St. Paul, Minnesota. I'll buy you a drink." Crowley hangs up. Castiel sighs. He went to tell Balthazar he had to leave.

Two days later Castiel walks in the bar looking for Crowley. It was so easy to take time off, Paige knew he was worried about Jack and allowed Castiel to take as much time off as he needed. At least his flight here was uneventful, he slept the entire way. He turned his head towards the bar, knowing Crowley's habits well. Sure enough. there he was enjoying a piña colada. Crowley looked up hearing Castiel's footsteps.

"Cas. Ahem! Barkeep, a drink for my friend!" He points to a picture on the wall.

A few minutes later, both men were in a random booth in a dark corner enjoying their drinks.

"Enjoying your drink?" Crowley smirked at the empty glass. Castiel was tipping the martini glass getting every last drop.

"It is adequate." He flags down a waitress for another. A few minutes later was sipping his Cosmo.

"Take it easy there angel. I need you sober." Crowley opens up a newspaper.

"What is it?" A obituary? "What's this for?"

"A hunter died."

"That's too bad." Cas was hungry. He put down the paper to look over the menu. He was debating on what to order.

"Fine then. I am pretty famished myself. We'll eat first, then discuss the latest case."

"What's this about Crowley? You bring me across the country, and for what?" Castiel tells him while cutting up his Salisbury steak.

"His name is Asa Fox. Such a shame. I liked that kid. Best hunter I know. Hell, I wasn't even mad when he exorcised my demons, or ruined my plans." He smiles as the picture. "Rest in Peace."

Castiel puts down his fork.

"You have five minutes to tell me what's going on." Castiel was willing to return to his motel and get some well deserved rest. Then fly home to California.

"You worried about Jack?" Crowley smiled at Cas' expression.

"What are you not telling me?"

"I may have a lead on Jack's whereabouts. But first. You do carry a passport. Don't you?"

Emerson, Manitoba

*Aren't you coming in?" Castiel asked. They drove all the way from Minnesota, it only took them a few hours to get there.

"In a while. Go say hello to everyone."

"I don't know anyone there." Castiel knew every hunter on Earth, but never personally met any of them in person. Not counting the Winchesters and their acquaintances.

"But your friends may be inside. Say hello to Dean."

Once Crowley drove away, Castiel walks inside.

"Thank you." Lorraine Fox, Asa's mother shakes the hunter's hand. So many mourners. She wished they were here for Asa's wedding reception or even his children's birthday party, not his funeral. "Come in!" Hearing a knock.

Castiel shyly walks in. Seeing Lorraine he introduces himself.

"Hello Mrs Fox."

"Hi. Were you friends with Asa?" He was dressed very formally, nothing like any of the hunters inside. "Pretty dressed up for Asa. Nothing like the others." Pointing at the hunters, who were dressed very casually. She did appreciate it though.

"We never met. But I heard stories. He was a good man." Asa Fox. His name was whispered in many hunters circles. Even Heaven.

"Yes he was. What's your name?"

"His name is Castiel. But all his friends call him Cas." Castiel turns around to the female voice.

"Jenna!" He smiles when she hugs him.

"Hey angel. Looking sharp." She teased. She turns to Lorraine.

"This guy is awesome. A great friend, and a amazing guy." She squeezes his arm.

"Pleased to meet you Castiel. If you excuse me." She goes to greet Asa's friends who just walked in.

"You knew Asa?" Jenna asked drinking a beer.

"I know of him. Never met him personally. Yourself?"

"Nope. But, my mom? She and Asa? Yeah. Neither one was ever bothered about the age difference. They were hot and heavy back in the day. That Asa. He was even more of a ladies man than my husband."

Castiel looks around. So many hunters. Even two witches.

"So where's..."

"He and Sam are giving Jody a ride. They'll be here later tonight. And before you ask, Piper is coming along as well. I came here with my mom. She needed company. Come say hi."

Castiel was listening politely to Bucky Sims' story. He was nursing a beer, he didn't feel like drinking. He needed to be sober. Especially when he finds out what Crowley was up to.

"So there we were. High above the ravine, when Asa jumps down and attacks that werewolf. The werewolf was dead in less than ten seconds!" He starts laughing. "Poor bastard never stood a chance! To Asa!"

Castiel takes a sip. He was avoiding Elvis Katz, he kept asking about Sam. Luckily he had no idea Castiel was a ex-angel, Castiel didn't feel like talking about himself. Seeing Jenna, he walks across the room.

"Enjoying the, um, party?" Strange. No one was crying. This was a funeral after all.

"I guess." She was drinking a beer. "My mom, she is in the other room saying goodbye to her boy toy."

"Your mom never cheated on your dad." Castiel knew that for sure.

"I know. I just wish she told me about this part of her life. She dated a hunter! And never told me!" Jenna says in annoyance. "I mean, she and dad drill Dean, and all along she knew." She puts down her beer. "I hate parents sometimes." She was angry to hear that. Dana just told her that she just wanted her children to have a normal life.

"Sorry to hear that." Castiel didn't know what to say.

"Yea. Come on. I want to see Asa's room."

Castiel picks up Asa's angel blade. He smiles when he sees the name etched on it.

"He wasn't just human females he dated."

"He had a angel girlfriend? I thought only you and Hannah were the only ones?"

"Gadreel, Balthazar, Anna, Gabriel, plus a few others. This was Lailah's. I heard rumors. She must be overjoyed to see him in Heaven. Now she doesn't have to sneak down to visit." He carefully puts back the knife.

Jenna nods. She reads the articles on the wall.

"Wow. He sure got around."

"Yes he did." Elvis Katz walks in. Ignoring Cas, he introduces himself to Jenna. "Hi, I'm Elvis."

"She is married to Dean Winchester." Castiel interrupts before Jenna could answer. Weird. He felt irritated when he saw Elvis trying to flirt with Jenna.

"DEAN? The Dean Winchester? Holy shit. I never thought he'll be tied down. I mean, hunting isn't the only thing he is known for. The ladies he left behind..."

"Jenna, let's get some air." Castiel takes her arm and leads her away.

"Thanks Cas. I was getting ready to punch him." Jenna disliked that guy already. He kept staring at her.

"No problem." Suddenly Cas felt shy. Why? He knew her for a few years now. She was just a friend. Heaven, she was married to his best friend! He mentally slapped himself when he realized he never thought about Hannah once.

"Cas! Cas?" He blinked when she was clicking her fingers at his face.

"Huh? Oh I mean, sorry." Castiel's face felt hot.

"Like I was saying. Dean and I, we are thinking about having kids."

Castiel stops in his tracks. Kids? Children?

"Armageddon is coming. Is that a good idea?" He blurts out. He saw her hurt face, and immediately apologized. "Sorry. Dean scolds me when I say the wrong thing. Forgive me." Why did he say that? What was wrong with him? He was confused when he felt jealous.

"Yeah. I know. But. People we know are starting families. I have cousins with young kids. Piper, she and Sam are seriously considering it. I know about what's coming. But, what if that doesn't happen? Heck, will it happen in our lifetime? Or even our world? I know it's selfish, but I kinda want to carry that part of Dean, you know?"

"You and Dean will make excellent parents." Cas meant it. Both were responsible and good people. But he felt hurt. "Excuse me." He needed to get away from her.

He goes back inside. Where were those beers?

Crowley smiles at his reflection. He was glamored as a businesswoman named Marnie. He wanted to pay his respects to the famous Asa. He nods at Dana walking out. Guess Jenna found out about her and Asa. He/She walks inside.

Alice in Chain's "Man in a Box" was blasting. Crowley smiled flirtatiously at the men checking her out. He nods towards Mrs Fox. Hmm. Maybe he can ask her for dinner. It's been a while since he been with a woman or a man. He wasn't picky. Seeing Jenna, he almost waved, but remembered he was undercover. He decided to look for Castiel. He spots him a few minutes later downing whiskey shots. He was drunk, Crowley could see that.

"Alright. I think you had enough." He takes the bottle away. "I need you sober."

"Who are you? Give me that." He slurs.

Whoops. Crowley forgot he was glamoured.

"Your friend, the lovely Jenna is looking for you."

"You mean Mrs Winchester? Dean's wife? She's a big girl. She can handle herself." Castiel said in a bitter voice.

Crowley's eyebrows raised.

"Sounds like someone's jealous."

Castiel turns around and stares at "Marnie."

"Yes. It's me. Come on. I have water in my car."

Castiel was holding a cloth to his head.

"Why do I have a hangover? I thought Eden's Springs cures anything."

"Within reason. You didn't eat anything all day. You were wasted. It's only the afternoon. Why are you drinking so early?" Crowley had a feeling he knew why.

"Everyone else is." Castiel was too embarrassed to say the real reason.

"Anyways, I came here to tell you. I may have a lead on the one that knows where Jack is."

Castiel looks over. Forgetting his hangover, he demands who.

"You heard of Jael? He was my crossroads demon. Asshole shirked his duties for over twenty years." Crowley been looking for him for years. He should have known he would want to kill Asa. Asa ruined every deal he ever made. He would be here. Since Asa was dead, he would want to destroy his family to enact his revenge instead.

"Why would your crossroads demon want with Jack? He doesn't have any pull down in Hell." With the exception of Crowley, no demon did.

"That's what I'm here to find out. But first, let's get some food in you. I bought caviar and containers of soup."

Jenna was laughing at the stories. Five wendigos? Bullshit. She heard of that hunter in Nova Scotia, his background sounded more believable. Besides, he was older. Too bad he passed away. At least he went out in old age. Jenna was going to tell Dean that some hunters went out peacefully in their sleep. He was worried about dying young like most hunters.

Jenna took a sip when "wendigo" was mentioned. Where was Cas? Last time she seen him is in the room where the bar was at. He kept drinking whiskey shots. She wondered what was bothering him. Probably Jack. He was still missing. She turned around when she felt eyes. If that Elvis was behind her... She hoped he liked beer on his shirt.

Weird. There was no one there. She didn't know anyone here, except her mom and Cas. Seeing young people, she goes to say hello.

Max and Alicia say hello to Jenna when she introduces herself. Soon all three were talking. Alicia seeing Randy Bull getting up to get a beer, excuses herself.

"So did you know Asa?" Max Banes asked in a polite voice.

"My mom did. She and Asa, they met in Boston years ago. She was just one of many notches, not that she didn't mind, she met my dad after Asa left town."

"Our mom too. You said you're married to Dean. So your sister in law, she's a witch?" When Jenna nodded, he gave a small smile. "Wonder if her mom knew my mom. She is a witch herself."

"Did she fight demons?"

"Yeah, but she was mostly a wiccan witch. Crystals, Enya, it was the 90s. Plus she was a hunter. She thought Alicia and I everything she knows. Especially how to seduce men." They were interrupted by Elvis.

"Sorry to interrupt." Elvis sits on the couch side rest. "I couldn't help but overhear. Sam Winchester? He married to what's her name? Philippa? Patsy?"

"Piper." Jenna and Max say in unison.

"Right. So is it true. Ahem. Is it true he went to Hell, and made a deal with Lucifer himself?" He asked excitedly.

"Whoa." Max's jaw dropped.

"I'm gonna get a beer. Max?" No way was Jenna answering that. She knew Sam's back story, but that wasn't her place to tell. She quickly gets up to fetch a beer.

"OK then. So, Max. What's your deal?" Elvis asked moving closer.

"Can you like, go away?" No wonder the other hunters ignored Elvis.

Randy was walking down the hallway when he felt his throat getting slit.

Lorraine was thanking the guests as they leave. The wake was a success, this house hasn't seen that many guests in years. She just wished Asa had that many guests when he was still alive. It was getting dark, only a few of Asa's close friends remained. Most were exchanging stories about Asa.

"And there were were, right after hunting ghouls. Then he decides to go rollerskating! He obviously didn't care about appearances, he said this was prime hunting. For chicks." Bucky was laughing hard with everyone else.

"Asa was always a ladies man." Lorraine said in a peasant tone. She and her husband went broke buying condoms. She lost count of the women he was with. But remembered all the underwear they left behind. She saw that young hunter walking in the room, something about her rubbed Lorraine the wrong way. She seemed different.

Jenna looked at her phone. Dean, he was late. She went to use her phone in another room for privacy. She saw the dead body of Asa Fox laying on a pool table.

As weird as she felt, she was curious. She never seen a dead body in person that wasn't in a slab, or a monster. She went to check.

"Damn." Jenna immediately crossed her chest.

"He was a good soldier." Castiel says walking in the room. He looks at Jenna's expression. "Dean. He is always careful."

"I know." Jenna, this part of hunting scared her. Dean was good, but so was Asa. He was found hanging in the woods. She knew about Dean's 'deaths.' But she also knew it wasn't forever. Someday, Dean won't come home. She sniffles. Cas immediately goes to hold her. "Sorry." She felt stupid. "This is for Asa, but I can't help worrying about Dean." She was glad Castiel was here. She cried in Cas' arms.

"Shhh. It's okay. Alright. It's okay." Castiel holds her as she sobbed. He worried about Dean and Sam on a constant basis, especially Claire. He was just holding her when he saw blood forming on Asa's corpse.

"That jeep. Asa. I have no idea why he kept that thing. It gave him constant headaches. Breaking down, running out of gas, but he insisted it was his lucky jeep."

Lorraine smiled politely at Bucky's story. When she saw that trenched coat man walking in quickly with that young woman, she immediately went on guard.

"We have to leave here; now.'' Castiel, he knew that demon was here. Once he looked up and saw the dead body of Randy, he quickly ushers Jenna out of the room.

"What is it?" Lorraine, she never will get used to hunting.

"I smell sulfur." Jenna sniffed the air.

"Demon." Max and Alicia say in unison.

"The waters been shut off." Elvis tells everyone as he rushes in the room.

Cas, he looks around for Crowley. He/she wasn't here. He wasn't an angel anymore. No way can he take a demon by himself. He wasn't trained the way these hunters were. He had to get everyone out of there.

"Black, it looks wonderful on you." Crowley tells Billie.

"I took a soul, he is at his final rest." Billie, She went through this before. She couldn't take Asa's soul in time in the other world, the Valkyries took him almost immediately. Here, She made sure he was taken away. The one called Mist, was not happy with Her. But rules are rules. What is dead should stay dead.

"Then why are You still here?"

"I have My reasons."

Castiel knew immediately they were trapped. He wasn't sure if he could get possessed, so he kept his charm. He watched helplessly as everyone argued. He kept Jenna close to him, he didn't want her hurt.

"You were away for quite some time." Elvis was arguing with Alicia.

"I was getting a drink." She argued back.

Jenna watched helplessly as everyone argued. Jael? Wonder who he was? She tried to get up, but was grabbed back down by Castiel.

"Stay close to me." No way was she getting hurt. Dean, he will be devastated if anything happened to his wife.

"Cas?" She looked down at her wrist, Cas was squeezing her pretty hard. "My arm. You're hurting me."

"Sorry." He lets her go, but still stood close to her. He wished he was still an angel. He could have took care of Jael. But as a human, he had no idea what he was doing. Once Alicia's eyes go red, he waited.

"Oh what's with the long faces?" Jael/Alicia taunted. "Everyone dies sometime." He looks at Castiel. "Wow. I hadn't seen you since 1492. Your vessel, it suits you better than that nun." He looks at everyone's stunned faces. "Oh, he's not a demon. He's an angel." He whistles at Jenna. "Wow. Sure wished I took you as a vessel. I lost Asa, but bringing you as my trophy? Dean Winchester would be my bitch."

Castiel glared at Jael. He knew he was right. Dean, he will never chance hurting his wife, he would pray directly to Michael or Crowley to keep her safe. He wanted to say something, but he had to keep Crowley hidden till it was time.

Alicia gasps when Jael smoked out of her body. She thanked Max for helping her up.

"Everyone pair off. The demon, he's still here." Everyone split up.

"Cas, that demon? Who was he?" Jenna asked curiously. She didn't see demons as just monsters anymore, not since that tape she watched with Sam and Dean.

"A nasty soul. Even as a former human, he was bad news. He worked directly under Caligula as his loyal advisor. He used to personally oversee executions of innocent people for their amusement."

"Ugh. Okay, how to we kill him?"

"We can't. I mean we can, but we need him." Castiel takes her to the kitchen. "Where's the salt." He asks Jenna to help him make a Devil's Trap.

Lorraine was watching Castiel and Jenna. An angel?

"Where were you when Asa was killed? You could have brought him back!" Lorraine was drunk, but was sober enough to say what was on her mind.

"I no longer have my wings. If you excuse me."

"Of course you don't. You fell." Jael taunts. Elvis' eyes were now red.

Cas glares at the demon. He pulls out his blade he always carried underneath his coat.

"Ooooh. Nasty angel." He giggled. "Not surprised to see you down here. We downstairs heard about the new sheriff." Mentioning Michael. He looks at Jenna who was saying an exorcism. "Uh uh. Sorry, but Elvis just left the building. Lorraine screamed when Elvis' neck was snapped. She wanted to comfort her, but Cas stood in front of her.

"Stay in the circle." He walks up to Lorraine. "Come here." He takes her inside as well. "Both of you will stay safe, just as long as you don't move out." He waits till the other hunters come in. "Is that everyone?" When everyone nodded, he chants a spell. Sure enough Max stood frozen in the living room. His eyes glowed.

"You son of an angel. Well done." He claps. "Who was it? The Queen? Or what's his name." Mentioning the so called 'leader.' When he saw a middle aged woman walking in, he swore. "Crowley."

"Look. I'm here for my demon. That's it." He nods at Castiel. "My debt to you is paid." He looks at Lorraine. "My apologies." Lorraine fainted when 'Asa' strolls in. "Don't worry, I'll bring Asa back. I just need to ask him some questions."

It was morning when Dean finally showed up. Dean was about to apologize for being late when he saw everyone standing around looking numb.

"What did we miss?"

Jenna was outside getting some air when she was approached by a dark skinned woman.

"Jenna Winchester."

"Yes?"

"Get ready."

"For what?" Jenna was confused.

"You know when it happens. No human ever gets used to losing the ones they love."

Jenna looked away when she heard her name getting called. When she turned around, the Woman was gone.

"Hello?" That was weird. The way She vanished. But that wasn't what worried Jenna, it was Her message. Losing the one she loved? Dean. Oh no. She hurries towards him.

"Babe. What is it?" Seeing Jenna's tears.

"Like I said! I don't know!" Jael screams when Cas threw the holy water at him.

"Where is Jack!" He grabs his blade. "I know you know where he is!"

"Like I told the archangel, I have no idea!" He coughs. "All I know, he and the girl are no longer there. I just discovered that place by accident. It was empty. Archangel Michael. He was pissed. Really pissed. His daughter, she is gone with the nephilim."

"Two nephilims?" Crowley's eyebrows raised. "Michael's offspring, no less. What's she like?"

"Not now Crowley." Michael's daughter? Cas decided not to worry about it at the moment. "That place, where was it." He cuts a line on his neck. The demon shuddered.

"It exists out of time and space. The witch, she showed me." Jael, he heard about the upcoming War. He was in charge of keeping an eye on Rowena. He was scared. That place, it was stronger than the hardest walls in Heaven or Hell. He heard the screams and wanted to run.

"Liar." Cas wanted to stab the demon, but Crowley stopped him.

"Hold on." He walks in front of Jael. "My mother."

"The Queen's orders." He bowed his head. "Sorry sir, but she is not to be underestimated. She ordered the witch to be locked up."

"The Queen? Who?" Castiel wondered who that was. Even Heaven had no idea on her identity.

Jael smirks.

"Asleep. Lucky you." He grimaced when Cas punched him.

"Answer the question!"

They were interrupted by wings. Jael looked up and swore. Crowley and Castiel immediately goes down on their knees and bow their heads in respect/fear.

Michael smirks at the three.

"You two. Leave." He snaps his fingers. Cas and Crowley found themselves outside of Asa's home a few seconds later with Asa's body in front of them.

Cas swore loudly. Now his biggest lead was dead. Michael, he showed no mercy.

Jenna watches the funeral of Asa, Randy and Elvis. Sam, he and Dean were talking quietly to Castiel who was looking angry and sad. She saw Piper talking to the Bane Twins, they were apparently Asa's kids. Lorraine was ecstatic. Crowley, he left almost immediately.

She still was mystified about that message she got. She just hoped it was just some sick joke. She smiled at Jody who was sniffing. Poor woman, she was deeply in love with Asa this whole time. When the funeral ended, she thought she saw someone getting out of the Impala.

"Hey!" The figure ran away. "Jerk." Trying to steal Dean's Baby? Good luck. Dean and the Impala had this bond not even Sam had.

Phew. The hunter was glad they weren't caught. They only came here to pay their respect to Asa. Plus to see Sam's and Dean's wives. A witch and a hunter. No surprise there. The person looks at the tracker that they managed to remove from the car.

"I know where to put you." It was placed in Bucky's truck. Bucky, he was no longer a respected hunter. He confessed he killed Asa. Accident he claimed. Yeah right. Bucky Sims, he was always jealous of his best friend.

Once the Winchesters drive away with their sheriff friend, with the exception of Jenna who decided to fly home with her mom, the hunter leaves as well. But not in the car, but in the portal the Valkyries uses. She nods at Randy to follow her.

"Don't worry, you still have a lot of work to do." She lost Asa, but Randy would make an excellent warrior. She hoped Asa found his peace in Heaven.

"So, is it a deal?"

"How do you know if this thing would change things? Time Travel, Heaven will sense something amiss." Chronos warned. He knew he was walking a fine line, that is why he only targeted the unworthy.

"Trust me, I'll take that risk."

"Fine. But I warn you. It's a one way trip. You won't be coming back."

He touches Anna's head.

A couple was arguing in a alley when they heard a thump. The women gasps seeing the red haired woman passed out on the ground.

"Harold! Call an ambulance!"

May 3, 1930

Pauline claps when the ribbon was cut. Sacred Forrest, it was a good name for a hospital. Pauline blushed when she saw her friend Walter Winchester walking up to the platform to give his speech.

"Thank you for coming. This place, never again will victims suffer the aftermath alone. These two women, Pilar and Prudencia, they will make sure no person is left behind." Pauline was listening when she heard whispers. Not again.

"Can't you wait?" She whispered in a annoyed voice.

"Did you say something?" Dr Roberts asked.

"Nope. Excuse me." Paulina walked away from the crowd. Once she sat down on a picnic bench, she waited for her best friend. Sure enough Walter comes strolling in.

"Hey, sorry to keep you waiting." He sits down beside her.

Pauline blushes. She never got over her crush. But her and Walter were never meant to be, especially after he got married.

"How's the Misses?" Thinking of Walter's wife.

"She's fine actually." They were interrupted by Eloit.

"Walter! I have to leave soon, the flight to Chicago will be leaving in less than two hours."

"I'll be right there!"

"Walter? Are you on assignment?" Pauline asked. The Men of Letters, their jobs are never done.

"A personal matter."

"Well, Be careful. I don't want you hurt." She squeezes his shoulder. He smiled back, thanking her for always being there for him. Once he leaves, Pauline gets up to do her duties. They have new patients, some that were recovering from demonic possession. She heard the whispers again. "Castiel. When I know the world needs you, you have my permission. Just let Pilar and Prudencia know. Plus Walter." She was still miffed that Castiel caused her and Walter to break up. Castiel at least let her watch him hold up the ribbon before it was cut. His fellow angel, Hannah was standing in the audience possessing a body of a construction worker.

Anna woke up in a hospital. She saw a nurse holding on to a needle. Immediately, she knew that was a demon. She was about to use her powers, then realized how weak she was. The demon must have noticed, she smirked.

"Don't you worry. I'll take such good care of you." Holding up the needle.

Anna didn't hesitate. Her body wasn't human, but she saw holy oil in that vial. She immediately went and grabbed the water jug that was beside her bed and threw it at her.

While she was swearing, she chanted the anti demon spell.

After she was done she was breathing hard. Feeling eyes, she looked up. A man was staring hard at her.

"You a hunter?" The man asked.

"Not exactly." Anna couldn't admit what she really was.

The man went to check on the former possessed vessel.

"She'll be okay." He gets up. "Come with me. You're not safe here." He holds out his hand.

Anna, not understanding what's going on, follows him.

Walter yawns as the plane lands in Chicago. He wanted nothing more than to be home with his family, but he was on assignment. Eliot told him there was something going on the city, and needed the Men of Letters to help him out. He agreed to do it, only because he had a lead on a ingredient for his spell.

Sam and Dean were on a case, Jody called about an unusual case about a mummified body discovered in a alley. A body that decomposed, it would have taken months, if not years to look like that. However, that body that was found, he was seen an hour earlier drinking at a bar.

"Charles Durbin, 22. Grad student at the University of Chicago. But he isn't the only one. Bodies were found starting in 1928, all in threes. Charles Durbin was the third victim these last few weeks, there was two others. A pharmacist, and a young woman. All found dead the exact same way." Sam was reading the articles online Jody sent them.

"I'm surprised Bobby didn't supply us with that info." Dean expected Bobby's surly voice over the phone, ordering them to check out this latest case. However, he was busy trying to find out about this Academy. Especially when he found out soulless humans were running around.

"He has something bigger on his mind at moment. For now, let's solve this case."

Walter was reading a newspaper waiting for his best friend, Eliot Ness. Thanking the waitress for his coffee, he puts down the newspaper and smiles at the picture of his son. He hoped this case didn't take long, no way was he missing little Henry's birthday. Hearing the bell jiggling on the diner door, he gestures to the waitress for a refill.

"Sorry I'm late." Traffic here was awful. It was even worse than San Francisco. Eliot didn't want to miss the ceremony though, he wanted to make sure that nothing went wrong. Plus have an excuse to see his ex, Prudenica Baxter. "Coffee, plus a muffin." He asked the waitress.

"Coming right up." Evaline tells him with a wink. She was glad Eliot came here from time to time, he was always a gentleman.

"How is Henry?" He saw the picture Walter was holding up.

"He is fine. His birthday is coming up, he will be entering kindergarten this year." Five years. "It feels like yesterday I was holding my newborn in my arms, now he is going to school this fall." Walter was proud.

"Hold on to those years. Soon little Henry will be heading off to college." Both were here waiting for their target, the god Chronos. He was seen here these last few days, visiting his lover, a widower named Geri Taylor.

They were just sipping their coffees when Walter saw Pauline.

"Dammit." He swore. Eliot looks up and sees Pauline.

"What is Pauline doing here?" She and Walter used to date, but their relationship ended years ago.

"That's not Pauline."

Soon, Walter, Eliot and Castiel were in the Men of Letters Chicago bunker. It was small, but it was well hidden in the sewers.

"Castiel. Why are you here? You promised Pauline you were heading back to Heaven." Walter and Pauline were in a romantic relationship, but when she said yes to Castiel, their relationship fizzled and died. Walter felt weird dating an angel, plus didn't want to cheat on Pauline. It was for the best anyways, Pauline was a few years younger than him and Walter was sick of Eliot's teasing. He met and married his wife shortly after.

"I was about to return to Heaven, but I felt something. Something celestial." That power. It was faint, but Castiel and Hannah sensed it. It was too weak to be sensed by Heaven, but if this was a lost angel, Castiel needed to protect her. Especially with Azazel's plan to resurrect Lucifer. An angel's grace will accelerate his plans.

"This power, what is it?" Eliot never got tired of seeing angels. Other than a few Men of Letters, and himself, no one believed in angels.

"Possibly a traveler. I need you both to help find her."

Present Day

Sam was typing on his laptop, he was looking for any more victims. Dean was in another room talking to his wife.

"How is Dana holding up." Poor woman was still mourning over Asa's death.

"She's getting better. She keeps trying to convince me to take her on any of my hunts." Scoff. "As if! She hid this huge secret from me, and expects me to bring her along like nothing's wrong." Dean found out Dana knew the entire time who Dean was. Jenna was understandably pissed off.

"Parents." John hid many secrets from his sons. Even though Sam and Dean were hunters, John had his own secrets. Especially Sam's secret. That he was psychic.

"Yeah. But at least Asa's at rest. I asked Castiel, he said Asa is in Heaven. Apparently, he is shacking up with his angelic girlfriend." She giggled. "Anyways, I'll be staying here for awhile, Devon needs help with his new apartment. He wants me to help decorate his new digs."

"Okay, but when this case is done, Sam and I will pick you up."

"I have my car remember? Sam can drive the Impala, you can ride with me."

"We'll see." As much as Dean thought Jenna's car was nice, it wasn't Baby. "See you later Babe."

"Later." Jenna hangs up.

"Find anything?" He needed to pee, but no way was he using the bucket upstairs. He was not using the hole in the floor. Good thing the gas station was a block away.

"The body is in a freezer, Piper already checked it out. She said it was magical." She already left, she was heading to that 'garage sale' for all that junk she bought. She was embarrassed and ashamed showing Sam her credit report. Sam knew he needed a job. Especially since they were talking about expanding their family. But not until their debts were paid off.

"Magical. How?"

"Like the light been sucked out of him. Plus there was a witness." Sam showed Dean the report she sent him.

"Let's check out this witness."

Somewhere in 1930

Anna was in awe staring at the lake. That man, he wasn't just a man. He was a whitelighter. This man was Paige Matthews' future birth father.

"Why are you shirking your whitelighter duties Samuel." Anna asked. Whitelighters rarely left Heaven on free will.

Sam Wilder brushed back his dark hair. Whitelighters never aged, however in the future he had white hair. Here, he looked exactly like the day he died in 1873.

"Talk. Talk. Talk. That's all the Elders ever do. I went on assignment and never returned after my charge passed away from old age. I assume you left Heaven the same reasons I did?" Samuel knew, he could see Anna's true form, although weak.

"Yeah." Anna didn't want to risk changing the future. But she had to warn Heaven about the future. What 'Michael' was doing. Not all the fallen whitelighters were hunted down, the few that were left were in hiding. She had no clue if Samuel was still alive in the future.

"Well, lets not let Heaven's buzzers find out you fell. I can give you a charm. It hides me from the Elders, it should be enough for you as well." He hands her a bracelet. "You will be well hidden, just as long as you never use your powers or fly."

"Thanks." Anna put it on. She knew little about Sam Wilder, the only thing she knew is he sacrificed himself to save his love's children from a monster. He 'died' but was brought back to continue his whitelighter duties, a job he detested. Here, he didn't seem any different. "Hunter?"

"Someone's gotta do it." Samuel wished there was whitelighters for hunters. It was unfair that hunters were basically thrown away, unlike witches. They worked just as hard and deserved the same protection. Most hunters died young.

"So what are you hunting Samuel?"

"A demon whore named Elizabeth. She is hiding her son, a cambion named Cole Turner."

"Cole? What about him." Anna knew he was dead. His soul was destroyed with the soul killing blade, the Ancient Atheme. It was in the hands of one of the Knights of Hell, but it disappeared after Cole was destroyed for good. So far no one knew where the Blade was.

"I don't give a rat's ass about the kid. Elizabeth is a more dangerous. She is after the god of Time, Chronos."

Chicago

"So this angel. You know her name?" Eliot asked.

"Unfortunately I don't. My sibling, I cannot sense her anymore." Castiel shook Pauline's head. "But I must get to her before the others find out." Michael, he will execute her for falling. He didn't trust fallen angels, not since Lucifer's Rebellion.

Walter didn't say a word. He was planning on capturing Chronos, making him take Walter to the day Stephen died. He felt incredibly guilty for Stephen's death. He never told Eliot his plans, he knew Eliot will stop him. However, this news about this mystery angel. Angels were known to bring humans back to life. Hopefully she was strong enough. Only higher tiered angels had that power.

"Walter!" Eliot was snapping his fingers.

"Huh?" He saw his angelic friend smiling. Castiel, first time he smiled. The first few years were rough. "Sorry. What did I miss."

"We're heading topside, there is a case." Eliot was watching the Bunker's telegraph, there was a body that was found, the scent of demonic sulfur in the air.

Present Day

"Okay, according to this witness. He seen Charles, and I quote, shriveled up like a raisin with a bright red light."

"Sounds like our kind of case." Dean wanted nothing more than to go home, but work needed to be done first. Especially when he wanted to go spend time with his wife before things change again.

Both were watching the monitor on Sam's tablet.

"Sammy, why are we staying here? There's a motel with plumbing a few blocks away." Dean was sick of this place.

"A personal reason." Sam was too embarrassed to say why. He couldn't afford it. Piper wasn't the only one to run up debt. He bought something so outrageous, he cleaned out most of his personal savings. He gave Dean an excuse, that as hunters they had to make sacrifices. Making Dean remember that weekend they had to live in a tent in December in Northern Michigan hunting a monster. Both had nasty flu's afterwards.

"Fine. But if we're here longer than two days, I'm renting a room. You can tough it out here."

"Deal." Sam was watching the monitor. "Dean. Can you look for any headlines about weird deaths?"

"How long back?"

"As far as you can go."

"Sure thing Sir Librarian." Dean never got tired of teasing Sam, ever since they found out they knew each other in a past life. Sam, even back then was a nerd. No big shocker he was a bookworm.

An hour later, Dean and Sam were looking at old headlines.

Another Shriveled Body Found

Suspicious Death By Fire

Woman Found With Eyes Burnt Out

"The first two sound like our kinda case. However, the last one..."

"Angel kill." Sam thought angels never came down to Earth till a few years ago. Wonder why they were down here so early?

Dean was staring at the pictures of the news articles. They were dated different dates, but one guy caught his eye.

"Sam. Check out fedora dude."

"Could be an angel."

"Maybe. But that may be a stretch." Cas, he was still socially awkward. If that guy is an angel, he may be stuck in the past, like Douchebag Mike. He loved his pageboy look. He made Dean look sharp though. "You brought your laptop right?"

Sam was watching Dean who was busy typing something about security cameras. When he entered a code, he was immediately lead to a live feed of cameras all across the city.

"How did you do that?" Sam was in awe.

"Had a crash course from a friend." Their old enemy Arthur Ketch came out from the shadows. He claimed to have escaped from a demon. Dean didn't ask why, just helped Ketch hide. In return, Ketch taught Dean everything he knew from his old mentor, Frank Devereaux. Last Dean heard, he went to Scotland.

"You got to teach me that." Sam was in awe of Dean's hacking skills. Sam was good, but Dean clearly knew some skills not even Sam knew.

"Here. This is where the first death happened. Hey!" When Sam grabbed the laptop away from Dean's arms. "You couldn't let me have this one moment of glory?"

Sam didn't say a word. That "Justin Timberlake," or Fedora Dude was in every shot. He knew angels, most detested being on Earth back then, that is why they sent their whitelighters to do their work. Sam wasn't sure if that guy was an angel. If he was, why was he there? But if he wasn't an angel, what was he?

Chicago 1930

Eliot sighs looking at the dead girl. Wasn't Chronos. He sucked the life force and left an empty husk. This woman, her throat was slit from ear to ear. A mercy kill, since there were signs of extreme torture. He knew Walter and Castiel were nearby, Men of Letters had exclusive access to every crime scene in the country. Castiel came along because he wanted to make sure his angelic friend wasn't one of any of the victims. He excused himself to talk to his boss, Chicago's Chief of Police.

"How many victims?"

"Two. She makes victim number three." He had his share of mob retaliations, but this was no mob hit. There was no pattern. He looked at his brightest detective. Ness, he had a knack for solving even the hardest cases. So much so, he had the FBI asking for help for their cases. Too bad he was heading to the Prohibition Unit.

"Did any of the victims know each other?"

"Helen Mion, age 45. Worked as a seamstress. Ruth Smith, 19, was a nursing student. This woman, Virginia Lucas, 31 was a cafe waitress."

"All female. No relation. No such things called random or coincidences. Something is connecting all three."

"Any ideas Ness?"

"I have to put together a pattern. Excuse me." He saw Chronos watching. He pretended not to notice Chronos, who quickly left when he saw Eliot walking towards Castiel/Pauline. "Castiel. Where's Walter?"

"He said he had to head to the gentleman's room."

Walter saw Chronos. Since he was so slippery, this was his one chance to get him. Make him a deal. Total invisibility from every hunter and Men of Letters in the country for a chance to save Stephen. Therefore keeping his promise to Jonathan. That Stephen will be safe.

Present Day

Sam and Dean were in a hospital interviewing the now middle aged witness about the death of the person found dead in the 50s.

Terry Cervantes shuddered seeing that photograph. It's been decades, but finding that corpse was still fresh on her mind. The case was an old case, the FBI hadn't been able to figure out how that person died. Especially in a very short amount of time. These two new agents, Agent Smith and Agent Smith, must have been assigned to this case.

"I remember the weather. It was a lovely spring day. I used to cut through the field to look at the flowers that bloomed." She stared grimly at the photograph. "Who would do this to a person?"

Sam pointed to Chronos.

"You recognize this man?"

"Yes. That is Mr. Snyder. He lived down the street from my parents."

"Can you tell us the street?" Dean asked.

A few hours later, both men were watching the house and eating takeout.

"Well what is this guy? Some kind of Psychic Vampire?" Dean hated vampires.

"Coroner says there was blood present. However, it was dated back centuries ago." Sam was perplexed about the case now.

Both men shut up when Fedora Dude walked out of the house. Dean gets out.

"Dean! What are you doing?" Sam said in a loud whisper.

"I'm taking Fedora out."

Both men follow Chronos downtown. Neither were sure what to do, but neither were about to lose this guy. Dean gestures to Sam to turn left, Dean was gonna go right.

Sam goes down the alley where Chronos was last seen. Expecting to find him killing another innocent, he was in shock when he was grabbed. The last thing he saw was Dean running towards him screaming his name.

"SAM!" It was too late. Both vanished in a red light.
