It's been about two days since the Cullen's have started to take shifts on watching Bella and me incase some dumbass vampire thinks it's good to knock off two victims. I won't be a victim nor will Bella!

" It'll be alright my love." Jasper said as I sat on the couch in Cullen's living room. Edward came in with what looked to be an injured Bella.

" Oh god!" I said as Bella was chuckling slightly, Carlisle soon came in and soon began to tend to Bella. Jasper placing me in his lap, I was growling slightly, but with Jasper rubbing my back, I had no control over myself as I melted in his arms.

" Total misunderstanding. It's just a sprain, should heal fairly quickly." Carlisle said as I saw Emmett walk in. Rosalie was looking at newspapers.

" Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time again, Bella?" Emmett asked in a joking way.

" I punched a werewolf in the face." She said as I perked up.

" Badass." He said as I chuckled.

" Our skin is almost as hard as a vampire's, but not so much." I said as Emmett smirked at me.

" Bella! You gonna be one tough little newborn." Emmett said with a smile as if he was a child getting a fresh new toy to play with.

" Tough enough to take you on." Bella said with a playful grin. I heard papers slam onto a table. I saw Rosalie get up and proceed to leave the room as if a foulness had overwhelmed her.

" It's alright." Jasper said as I felt curiosity hit me. I managed to get out of Jasper's arms as my stomach growled. I went into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. I sank my teeth into it, letting the juices run down my throat. After finishing it, I went out into the balcony to oversee the river that separated Forks from the La Push Land, the border. The door opened from the house to the balcony.

" Hey." Rosalie said as I nodded.

" Come to give the wolf some company?" I asked as she smirked. Rose walked over and stood next to me as I sat on the railing. It wasn't long before Bella came out. I could see Rosalie's face slightly harden, but it had something behind it.

" Go blather to someone else about the joys of becoming a newborn." Rose said with some venom in her tone, I see Bella with a slightly taken abackness.

" Okay. Rosalie... I don't understand what I did, to make you hate me so much." Bella said as I looked at Rosalie.

" I'm wondering the same thing, not to hurt your feelings Rose." I said as she nods.

" I don't hate you. I don't particularly like you, but... Bella, I envy you." Rosalie said as Bella came over to me and stood next to me.

" What? That's ridiculous." Bella said as I saw a sorrowful tone in Rosalie's face.

" No, it's not. You have a choice. I didn't. None of us did. But you do, and you're choosing wrong. I don't care how miserable your human life is." Rosalie said as she took my hand almost desperately seeking comfort.

" My life is not miserable. It's not perfect, but nobody's life is perfect." Bella remarked almost as if confused.

" Mine was. Absolutely perfect." Rosalie said with a smile plastered on her face.

" It was a long time ago, maybe you're forgetting the bad." Bella said as I saw there was something there.

" Rosalie? Something happened. Something bad, didn't it?" I asked as I saw her with the saddened look I know all too well. Her eyes looked to almost want to cry, but her frozen state won't let them appear or even become created.

" I remember. And it was perfect. Till the end..." She started, her bravery was tall and she was giving me her peace of mind that would hold the truth behind what maybe Bella saw as thorns.

" I had... almost had... everything, even though it was the Great Depression. I was eighteen, beautiful—everyone in Rochester envied me." Rosalie said as if she was reliving it all in her mind. Her hand still holding mine as if seeking comfort from the past.

" There's only one thing I wanted that I didn't have... I wanted a child badly. A home of my own, a husband to kiss me when he came home from work. And I thought I was going to have all of that..." She said with a sad smile that was easy to spot with no hassle.

" Royce King was the most eligible bachelor in town. I barely knew him. But I was young. I was in love with the idea of love." She said with a hint of sadness and sorrow.

" I was young." Rosalie says small and close.

"On the last night of my life, I left a friend's house late. I wasn't far from home. I didn't see who he was until that night. Who they all were." Rosalie says as she looks at me. I nod and she leans on me.

" They left me in the street, thinking I was dead. Believe me, I wanted to be." She says as I felt her cool skin trying to seek a warmth her beautiful skin couldn't ever retain again.

" Carlisle found me, he smelled all the blood... Thought he was helping me." Rosalie said as her hand slightly squeezed mine.

" I got my revenge on them. One at a time. I saved Royce for last, so he'd know I was coming." Rosalie said as she let her eyes close as if letting the memory dispel and leave.

" I was a little theatrical back then. Things got better after I found Emmett. But we'll always be this. Frozen, never moving forward. That's what I miss the most, the possibilities. Sitting on a front porch somewhere, Emmett gray haired by my side, surrounded by our grandchildren, their laughter." Rosalie said as I smiled. I felt everything for her, she needed a friend in these times, no matter who it was. She wanted to be strong with her beauty along with it. To have the attitude that she desperately craved. is that why she saught me as her friend, I don't think I'll ever know. I'll be there for her no matter what.

" I understand, that's what you want. But there's nothing I'll ever gonna want, more... ... than Edward." Bella said with the firmness in her tone.

" You're wrong again. After you've been changed, there's one thing you'll want more... One thing you'll kill for... Blood." Rosalie replied. Edward soon came and took Bella home. Rosalie stayed with me, talked about plans for the future until Emmett took her out.

" I'll make sure that Rosalie is never saddened by anything." I said as I felt cooling arms that I knew anywhere wrap me.

" I think you'll do a good job making my sister happy. Hopefully as her sister-in-law when we are ready." Jasper whispered in my ear as the sun began to set.

" Course, your family is like my own. Watching out for one another no matter the cost." I whispered as the sun's gaze hit the forest trees.
