The Cullen's and I were in the woods the next afternoon. I was by the Jeep as I saw Jasper throw Emmett slightly across the field. The robust vampire smirks at this as dirt is upon his shirt.

" Again." He shouted as he almost readies a stance. A car comes into view. Edward and Bella get out. I'm on top of the jeep. My inner wolf feeling the urge to come out, I inhaled Jasper's scent via his jacket and she calmed down.

" They're here." Edward's voice made me look to see eight huge wolves show up. I easily recognized Sam, Jacob, and Paul. I see Jacob Wolf staring at me. He growled and Sam growled back at him. What the hell Jacob? Was it Jacob now after me to join the pack now! Sam seemed eased by the way he looked at me.

" They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms." Edward said as I saw Carlisle come forward to the wolves, my eyes trained on Jasper, if they think any of these wolves can hurt Jasper, believe me, I'll phase so fast they won't know what hit them.

" Welcome." Carlisle says as the wolf's eyes train on Carlisle.

" Jasper, Jace's Imprint, has experience with newborns. He'll teach us how to defeat them." Carlisle says as I see a couple of their ears perk at the information while Jacob slightly growled. He looked to be slightly shaking as if contemplating an attack.

" They want to know how the 'newborns' differ from us." Edward translated as I smirked.

" They're a great deal stronger than us because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful... ... than in our first several months of this life." Carlisle said before he nods to Jasper to take over. Jasper is initially uncomfortable with both the wolves and the attention.

" You are alright babe, just breathe and listen to my heart." I whispered nice and low. I saw him visibly calm.

" Carlisle's right. That's why they are created. A newborn army, doesn't need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them." Jasper said as he slowly paced, keeping the wolves attention.

" The two most important things to remember are, first... Never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly." Jasper said as I saw him glare at the wolves hungry gaze.

" The second... Never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that. And you will lose." He told them before stepping back.

" Emmett? Don't hold back." Jasper said as I saw Emmett smirk at this.

" Not in my nature." Emmett growled before he charges Jasper with impossible speed, but Jasper is a virtual blur. Emmett lunges several times, his strong arms grabbing at air. Jasper soon has Emmett slammed to the ground.

" Never lose focus." Jasper told him, soon Edward and Carlisle faced off and Edward looked to have the upper hand.

" One more thing..." Jasper says as Carlisle gets the upper hand and Edward is on the ground.

" Never turn your back on your enemy." He said as I smirked, classic. Micheal and Rose faced off and Rosalie won that one, Esme and Alice faced off and Alice won, most likely due to her future vision.

" Jace!" Jasper called out, the wolves eyes trained on me as I smirked as I walked up to him, he smirked and went for me. I moved in the opposite direction as he smirked. He tried going in the direction I was and again I moved. I tried punching him, but he moved.

" Nice." I said in a coy tone. I went for him again and he spun me. He tried to kiss me, but I moved under him. I got up a tree. I watched him back up and I fell on his back. He smirked before I kissed him. I got up and went to the jeep. The wolves' eyes trained on me. Soon the wolves left. I got back on top of the truck. I see Bella and Jasper talking.

" I was the youngest major in the Texas cavalry. All without having seen any real battle." Jasper said as I knew where the conversation was leading, to how he was turned and how he escaped the bitch Maria.

" Until I'm not a certain immortal. Maria." He said as I heard the taken backness.

" I was riding back to Galveston... ... after evacuating a column of women and children. When I saw her." He says as I listened to the story, it was full of his emotions he didn't like to show.

" I immediately offered her my aid." Jasper continued with it, Bella's eyes on him to absorb his story.

" But she took advantage of me and turned me." Jasper said as I felt my inner wolf stirred.

" Maria was creating an army?" Bella asked him.

" They were very common in the South. And caused brutal battles for territory." Jasper says as I saw that his arms were exposed, I didn't really notice his crescent moon scars of battle much, but now I do.

" Maria won them all. She was smart, careful. And she had me. I was the second in command. My abilities to control emotions served her well." Jasper said as I gripped my hands into my palms.

" I trained her newborns. An endless occupation since she never let them live beyond their first year." Jasper said with sorrow in his voice. I wanted to help him.

" It was my job to dispose of them. I could feel everything they felt." Jasper said as if on the verge of tears.

" I thought what Maria and I had was love. But I was her puppet. She pulled the strings. I didn't know there was another way." Jasper said before his eyes lit up.

" Alice found me, she foretold me about an amazing girl that would give me all the love I needed if I went with her." Jasper said before I got off the jeep and next to him.

" Kept me waiting long enough." I said as he smiled with pride in his eyes.

" My apologies, Ma'am." He said as I smirked.

" I don't know what I'd have become without her." Jasper said before I cooed to him. His smile made me blush.

" You'll never have to be that again." I told him before taking his hand and bringing him over to me, placing a kiss upon his lips with care, love and everything Jasper needed to stay with me, even if it was willing and of love. We had a battle that will determine if we all make it out alive. I saw out of the corner of my eye, Jacob coming at me.

" What the Hell!" I yelled as he got in my face, Jasper behind me.

" Laying in wait with a leech is so beneath you." Jacob said with a grin. I gritted my fists as I felt my inner wolf shaking.

" And what do you have Dog!" I snarled as I felt my body shaking fast.

" Nothing!" Jacob growled before I phased. I snarled at him as he stood in shock. I growled out as he backed away.

" Jacob!" Bella screamed as she got between Jacob and me.

" Go! You had no right coming back here! Leave Jace alone!" Bella said as she stood strong. Jacob looked at me before he phased and ran off. I huffed as Jasper got in front of me. I filled my eyes as he smirked.

" Got that anger still, feed the fire when in desperate time." Jasper said before he lead me to the jeep and gave me the clothes. I snagged them and went behind a tree, I phased back to normal. I came out and Jasper held me to him. Hopefully peace comes upon us after.
