A Kings Sorrow:

The moment Sky's feet touched Gardenia's soil, he raced to Bloom's childhood home. It took all of his might not to run up and shake Mike and Vanessa. He so much wanted to demand why they hadn't kept a closer eye on her, but he knew now wasn't the time. Instead, he turned his attention to the fairy of the sun. "Stella, report!" he said.

Stella flinched at his bitter tone. Never in all the years, she'd known him had Sky ever sounded so angry. She didn't count the time he'd been under Diaspro's control, as he hadn't been in his right mind. However, knowing that the man was in complete control of himself here was different, and it scared her. For Sky's sake, she hoped Bloom would turn up unharmed. "Sky, as Brandon must have already told you, Bloom is missing," she said.

Sky grunted, which she took as her cue to continue. "When I arrived here this morning with Daphne and Queen Marion, Mike and Vanessa were frantic because they couldn't get a hold of Bloom. The last time they recall seeing her was last night around Ten P.M." she said.

"And when did they realize she was missing?" Sky asked, wondering just how long Bloom was unaccounted for.

"According to Mrs. Peters, she checked on Bloom at five 'o'clock in the morning because she felt something was off. That leaves her disappearing anytime between ten last night and five this morning," Stella said. She wasn't liking this. Something had happened to her friend, she was sure of that.

Sky could feel the panic coming back full force. Bloom could have been missing for eight hours already before anyone noticed she was gone. Who knew what could have happened in that amount of time. Biting his bottom lip, he tried to keep the panic from showing. "What's been done since then to find her?" he asked.

Stella gave a tired sigh, "Well, Daphne and I have searched all of Gardenia, but we didn't find so much as a trace of her," she said.

"Did you try using a tracking spell?" The king asked, eyeing the princess of Solaria. To him, that seemed like the most logical move.

Stella shook her head in the negative, which angered Sky. "Why the hell not?" he asked, wondering why the fairy wouldn't have thought of that.

"To be honest, I was waiting for backup. Sky, who knows what's happened to Bloom, she could be in real trouble, and me flying in with no help wouldn't help anyone." Stella said, trying to calm the angry king.

Despite knowing that the sun fairy was right, it didn't stop the anger from rising. Plus, the more time they wasted, then there was less of a chance of finding the lost fairy of the dragon flame. Raising his arms in frustration, he angrily gestured around them, "Well, as you can see we're all here, so will you please perform a tracking spell now?" he said through gritted teeth.

"It's not that easy, Sky. First, I need a specific location to perform the spell."

"Then find a starting point and begin trying!"

"That could take forever, not to mention a waste of magic,"

"I don't care if it takes all day or next week! Try until you find something!" Sky said, his voice strained.

Stella looked Sky dead in the eyes. She could see a swirl of emotions swimming in his blue eyes; pain, fear, love, anxiety, sadness, and anger. Oh, how she wished she could make this all end, but she couldn't. Sighing, she looked at him gently, "All right, I'll try. I guess the easiest place to start would be the park, as Bloom loves it there," she said.

For just a moment, a calmness came over Sky's eyes, and then it was gone. Gently, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Thank you," he said.

Stella nodded stiffly before she turned away and walked over to the rest of their friends. "Alright everyone, let's start our new search at the park," she said.

Tecna raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you already search there?" she said, wondering if she'd missed something. After all, the park seemed the most logical place to look, knowing how much Bloom loved it there.

The princess of Solaria sighed. "Not with a tracking spell. Also, now that Flora is here, she can use her plant magic. Maybe the plants witnessed something," she said.

Flora nodded at her determined, she'd do anything she could to help bring her friend home safely. "I'm ready when you are," she said.

Aisha clenched her fist. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go," she said, moving in the park's direction. The others were right behind her.

When the team arrived, they found the park was already crowded. Stella groaned, "Great, this is just what we need," she said. The others ignored her and instead began moving towards the more secluded area of the park.

Musa looked around, feeling a chill come over her being. "You know, these trees and shrubs are high and thick enough to conceal someone, especially at night or early in the morning," she said.

Stella nodded. "No kidding. What I want to know is why Bloom would come here in the dark?" she said.

Flora shrugged. "Well, Gardenia seems to be a safe enough place. I doubt Bloom felt unsafe here," she said.

Stella raised an eyebrow. "I don't care how safe an area is. Everyone knows you don't go to the park at night. It's the law of the universe," she said. Flora nodded, conceding that she had a point.

Sky, who was walking in front of them, ignored their chatter. He didn't like where their conversation was going, and it only led him to feel angry at Bloom. First, why had she left her phone? Second, why did she go for a walk late at night? Hadn't she promised to be careful? But mostly he was angry at himself; he never should have let her go without a security detail.

He was pulled from his thoughts of self-hate by Tecna calling out. "Hey, over here," she said. The fairy was standing behind a group of bushes. When had she moved over there?

Walking over to where she was standing, he looked at her tentatively. "What did you find, Tecna?" he asked.

The fairy of technology was holding something small and shiny in her hands. Slowly, she raised the object up for all to see. A few gasps rang out as they took in the sight. Sky felt something in him break as he took in the sight of Bloom's engagement ring. "No," he whispered.

The rest of the Winx and Specialist gave each other disturbed glances. One thought rang through all their minds consecutively. "This was bad."
