27. AUTHOR'S NOTE

*Sheepishly pushes open rusted shut door* Ummmm….hi…
So before anyone gets excited I am so very sorry but this isn't a long awaited update ‒ truly I wish it was, but I did want to write a note to all of you, amazing readers and wonderful fandom, explaining my absence and presenting a heartfelt apology.
I started this story the year before I went to Uni...wow that feels like forever ago, and I know to those of you waiting for an update it has been. Now for the explanation and groveling apology…
If any of my readers from my active days are still around you may remember that I was having a lot of health struggles during the last updates ‒ well that didn't get better and culminated in a months long hospitalization. By the time I was back on my feet the COVID-19 pandemic was sweeping the world and I could summon no creative energy.

I am starting to write again. I'm starting small, exercises mainly for class, but part of my health issues include incredibly painful migraines and intermittent loss of vision ‒ and so I have put most of my projects on hold.

I know this isn't the update anyone was hoping for. I've wanted to post an explanation for awhile now, but this is difficult to write, and so I keep putting it off. Today though, I saw my stories recommended on Tumblr (LIKE WOW!) and felt I owe it to you all to tell you that this story may never be finished.

I have the plot ‒ I had outlined till the end of the book ‒ but currently I find myself unable to commit to actually writing.

To all of you waiting ‒ I am truly sorry that I cannot promise you an update. If you've made it this far in the story thank you so much for your support, your kind words, and your willingness to sit through….how many chapters now?!
I do want to come back to this story someday ‒ I hope for my health to improve to a point where I can, but until that day, thank you for everything that you as readers and as a fandom have done for me ‒ for the comments, the chats, the community, and the wonderful memories.

I love you all so much.
