Do Not Own Inuyasha
Rin awakes from a call from her cousin.
"Hey Rin, have you got yourself together, you are my maid of honor, I need you!
"Kagome, have your forgotten I have jetlag and the time is way different in the U.S. I will meet you at the dining hall and I will call you when I am on my way".
"Jeez Rin you are cranky, but okay I will see you then. You are just the only one I can truly count on".
"Well since you said it like that, I am your favorite cousin and all so I will see if I can make it there a little earlier bridezilla".
They hang up the phone and Rin thinks to herself, it has been a while since I left Japan, I left and did not turn back. She goes into her suitcase and pulls out his sweats, she had a souvenir herself. She just wanted to keep something of his.
"I never forgot you Sesshomaru, maybe if fate allows it, we shall meet again" she says to herself.
She goes to get dressed and heads out, she had some time, so she visited her old stomping grounds before meeting up with Kagome.
"I am not ready for Kagome's tantrums today, but she is the bride".
She arrives at the dining hall, and she sees her family members that she has not seen within a year from moving from Japan. She catches up with them and she informs them she needed to broaden her career from just Tokyo.
Kagome runs up to Rin and squeezes her, "I am so glad you are here; you keep me sane".
"Where are the boys, they should have been here by now", Izayoi says looking at her watch.
"Where is the groom, where is the groom we are on a time crunch" the wedding planner says.
"I have no idea where he is I have called him over and over and if he does not show in the next 5 minutes, I will find him and kill him myself!"
"Well, alrighty then" the wedding planner looks at Kagome nervously.
Meanwhile Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and Toga are stuck in traffic and there is bad reception so they could not make any phone calls.
"This would be better if we could just fly there" Sesshomaru says annoyed.
The driver being a demon would have not been bothered by their abrupt exit.
"That is not a bad idea Sesshomaru, we could shapeshift, and I will carry Inuyasha, we will have to do it discreetly" Toga says.
Back at the dining hall, Kagome is crying hysterically, and Rin is trying to calm her down.
"I am going to fucking kill him, I told him to leave earlier because of traffic and I can't get ahold of him. I am going to cut his head off when I see him".
Next thing the door flings open, and it is Inuyasha running in, "Kagome!"
"Inuyasha!" Kagome yells.
Inuyasha turns and gulps, "I hate you, you always ruin everything, the wedding planner left and we have not had rehearsal, everyone is gone, and the wedding is tomorrow! You idiot!
Inuyasha embarrassed, Toga steps in, "Kagome do not worry, I will take care of everything. Whatever the cost is, I will cover it. Do not beat yourself up and do not beat Inuyasha up, he was trying to get here as fast as he could. I should know I was with him; we cannot control traffic".
He gets closer to her and says, "we got here as fast as we could discreetly Kagome."
She nods as she understood their true nature.
"I am sorry Inuyasha, have I really turned into a bridezilla?"
"It is okay, I will make it up to you with the rest of my days with you".
Toga intercepts and says, "I will pay for all your guest to stay an extra day so we can reschedule the wedding rehearsal and make sure all of us are here on time. How does that sound Kagome?"
She nods and says thank you.
Rin was hiding in the background to stay away from Kagome's wrath. "That girl can get so mad, she frightens me at times" she says to herself.
Sesshomaru never comes into the building as he already knew that the rehearsal was over, and he felt he wasted his time coming. He calls Jaken to send a car.
Kagome goes to talk to Rin, "I am sorry Rin you had to see me act all crazy".
"I have seen worse" she laughs.
Kagome laughs as well. "We have to hang out and it is still early in the day. Want to grab a bite to eat?"
"Sure, let's go" Rin says.
As Sesshomaru is getting inside of the vehicle he stops, "This scent" he looks around, but he does not see anyone. He stares and gets into the car. "My mind is really playing tricks on me. I may have become completely obsessed, now I think I smell her near". He shakes his head and motion the driver to leave.
Rin and Kagome walk out the building and they walk over to Starbucks to get a panini and a frappe.
"So, Rin tell me how things been in the states?"
"I am now the Editor-in-Chief for the LA Times, and I am loving it. I loved it here in Tokyo, but I had to find myself and I felt I could not find it here in Tokyo".
"Rin, I have always told you to follow your heart and if you find yourself back here, you know I will be waiting for you. You are out there all alone and I be worried about you".
"Thank you, Kagome but I am fine" Rin takes a breath and says, "There is something I never told you".
"Umm spill!" Kagome demands.
"A year ago, remember I told you I was going on a blind date?"
"Okay you only told me he never showed, did something happen?"
"I only told you part of what happened. I actually met someone else that same night".
"oookkaayyyy, so tell!" Kagome says excitingly.
"I had a one-night stand with a mysterious guy".
"Wow Rin, I did not know you had it in you, you were always conservative".
"Yes, it was something about him, that lured me in like we were meant for one another. Kagome it was the best night I ever had in my life".
"So why didn't you stay in touch?"
"I felt as though he didn't want to take it further than it was. I don't think I could ever talk to him again, I would only want to see him from afar, thats it".
"Hmm a year later and you still gone off of him, he must have really put it on you" Kagome says as she points at Rin and winks her eye.
Rin laughs and blushes, "I guess so!"
Sesshomaru in the car ride, is aggravated because he could have sworn, he smelt her scent. He tells the driver to stop by the Grand Hotel where it all started. He felt like something was luring him there.
I do not know why I am here, is this a sign? First, I thought I smell her scent and now I am here. I must be going crazy; I am desperate need of my mate, that I will go to this extent thinking she will just show up, he thought to himself.
Sesshomaru gets up and leaves pissed off but discreetly turns into a ball of light and lands on the roof, and looks up at the moon.
"I am done, I am embarrassing myself as it is. I can not keep this up, it is making me go insane, but it is so hard to forget you my dear Rin" he says to himself.
Sesshomaru gets a text message from his father informing him of the changed plans of the wedding rehearsal and to be on time.
"Tuh!" he says to himself.
