Rin is at home thinking about how much fun she was having at the dance studio. She also thought about some new moves she learned at her self-defense class. Her ex-boyfriend had her thinking she would never see the outside world again. He almost held her hostage because he didn't want to let her go. She never wanted to be in that position again.
Ever since the incident, Rin noticed how small she truly was. She realized how defenseless she was in his actions towards her; he had complete control. But not anymore, Rin felt so confident in her fighting skills she felt she could kick anyone's ass.
Her confidence was building and she even thought about dating again. She was hesitant at first, but now she was starting to feel good again. She lost a lot of weight by changing her diet and taking the dance class. Her body has toned up, and her petite frame was evening out in all the right places.
Rin gets a call from Kagome, "Hey Rin what are you doing today?"
"I am free during the day but tonight I go to my self-defense class. What's up?"
"Oh, Inuyasha invited me to one of his families' lounges to shoot some pool and have some food. Would you want to come?"
"I can't, sounds like its way in the evening time, I will be in class".
"Oh man, maybe I can catch you another day".
A couple hours later, Rin receives a text saying her self-defense class was canceled due to a family emergency.
"I guess I do have the evening off. I wonder if it's too late for me to go with Kagome".
Rin calls Kagome and informs her that her class was canceled for the evening. Kagome was excited, she let her know she would come pick her up. She wouldn't have to worry about when she wanted to leave. Whenever she was ready to go, Kagome more than likely would be ready to go too.
Kagome picks up Rin and pulls up to this upscale restaurant/lounge. Rin was relieved she picked appropriate attire for this particular place. She chose a floral and black belted romper with her back out and paired them with black gladiator sandals. Her hair was in a messy bun, she wore white gold tear drop earrings for jewelry. She put on light makeup to even the look out.
"Wow, Inuyasha parents own this?"
"Its for the grown and sexy demon community but humans are allowed. They will not look at us sideways, that is what Inuyasha says anyway. They own some of the most top venues around town".
They walk up to a reserved area and Inuyasha greets them. "Hey beautiful" he gives Kagome a peck on the cheek. "What's up Rin, you look good".
"Thank You".
"I got us some drinks and I ordered some appetizers"
"That would be great, I am starving" says Rin.
"Who else is supposed to come?" says Kagome.
"My friend Shippo and his girlfriend, Ai. My brother and his girl".
"So couples? This may have been a bad idea to come" Rin says.
Kagome looks worried and Rin says, "I could mingle around so I will not look so crazy with you all. I am the only single one here".
Rin gulps down 2 shots and goes to shoot some pool.
Sesshomaru shows up without Kagura. He walks over to go to speak to Inuyasha and Kagome and from the corner of his eye he catches Rin.
What is she doing here? He thinks.
He sees Rin bent over the pool table. Her ass nearly coming from under her romper.
He watches Rin trying to shoot her shot and he thought how he would love to see her presented to him.
Sesshomaru grunts.
"Where is Kagura Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha asks.
"Who knows? She comes and goes as she pleases".
"I thought you both made up, it seems you spend more time apart than together, and then she is always late to the dance class that she signed you both up for, I may add".
Kagome excuses herself to let them talk.
"Why is that girl here?"
"Kagome?"
"No her friend".
"I told Kagome she could bring whoever. When she got here, I explained to her who was coming and she started to feel uncomfortable because it was going to be all couples. Since Kagura is not here, why don't you both chat it up".
"What do you have up your sleeve?"
"I think Rin is a good catch and I think you should dump Kagura for her?"
"You have to be out of your mind to think this Sesshomaru would ever be with a human".
"You need to get over the past with your bitter ass. What's done is done, you don't seem that upset about it nowadays".
"I am the only one that can produce a full blooded yokai in our clan".
"Whatever dude like I said before you shouldn't waste your time on someone that does not care about your wellbeing. I think she would be perfect for you".
Sesshomaru looks over at the short petite girl, he looks to her beautiful skin and then those thighs she always shows off. He would love to nuzzle on them or in between them. He grunts again trying to shake the thought out of his head.
Rin and Kagome are talking about random things, Kagome thought to ask Rin about Sesshomaru. "Hey Rin, I was thinking, what do you think of Sesshomaru?"
"Well, I thought he was very attractive in the beginning, I am sure he gets that a lot. When I saw he had a girlfriend, I backed off because I know how it feels to have women flirting with your man".
"Inuyasha tells me Kagura is a bitch, and they barely even have a relationship".
"That is unfortunate, he seems like a lot of fun".
"Too bad we could have gone on a double-date".
Rin shrugs and goes back to the bar for another shot. Someone appears next to her, "I will buy that one for you".
Rin turns and sees a very attractive man next to her. "You don't have to".
"It's cool, I had my eyes on you since you walked in, and I wondered how I would approach you".
Rin smiles and he continues, "So what is your name pretty lady?"
"I am Rin, what is yours?"
"Asao".
"Nice to meet you Asao, thank you for the drink".
Kagome is watching from afar.
"Why are you so up in her business, isn't she a grown woman?" Inuyasha says.
"Inuyasha" Kagome says irritated. "Rin has a past with someone that was not so great to her and since I know everything, I will always look out for her".
Sesshomaru hears this and watches Rin like a hawk.
Rin and the guy are laughing and Sesshomaru secretly wished it was him making her laugh.
The guy takes her hand and leads her to the dance floor. Ed Sheeran, Shape of you comes on.
He does not know how good she dances, Sesshomaru thinks to himself. Sesshomaru becomes a bit jealous of the thought of her grinding on the boy.
His jealousy heightened when the beat drop and Rin was making her ass twerk and roll in different ways. The boy wasn't behind her yet, but he did eye Rin from her rear. Sesshomaru was lost in a trance watching her do those tricks with her hips and ass. He almost let out a growl. He himself was surprised how good of a dancer she was.
Kagome in the background dancing to the music, cheering Rin from afar.
The boy then moves behind Rin and that was it, Sesshomaru must stop this, he could not watch her grind on him.
Sesshomaru sniffs the air, it was Kagura, she decided to show up. She was right on time because he would of have looked like a fool.
She walks gracefully up to Sesshomaru and kisses his cheek. "I didn't think I would make it but I am here now".
Sesshomaru couldn't give off any emotion that he cared about anything Rin was doing while Kagura is present.
"I see doofy and doofier was invited. These girls they are just so annoying" Kagura says.
Sesshomaru just breathes out from the comment. He thinks about what Inuyasha said about Kagura showing up late to dance class, and her now showing up hours later today.
"I don't usually pry but what have you been doing. You suggested we go to a dance class to bring us closer together, but you are always late, and you almost did not show up today".
"Just being a demoness, we tend to take our time . Our beauty is very important".
Sesshomaru scoffs.
Sesshomaru glances over at Rin and it appeared she was putting her number into that guy's phone, and that irritated him.
"Why don't we get some drinks and shoot some pool?" Kagura says.
Sesshomaru simply nods.
Shippo and his girl finally arrive, and the guy Rin was hanging out with left so Rin became uncomfortable again. Sesshomaru felt this and he did not understand why he wanted to comfort her and keep her company.
Kagome sits by Rin, "Are you ready to go?" Kagome says.
"I don't want to ruin your fun. You should stay, I will catch a lyft. I think Inuyasha wants you to stay. This is more for couples, and I am single and even though I did mingle, it is not the same".
Sesshomaru hears this and he wants to take her home, he was ready to go too. He just needed Kagura to be out the way. As fate would have it, Kagura phone rings and she walks out of the room to be out of hearing distance from Sesshomaru.
She comes back a few moments later, "I am leaving, something has come up at the office".
This was it, and right on time, he didn't want to be disrespectful to Kagura. He watches her leave, and Kagome approaches the group. "Hey me and Rin are going to head out, I really enjoyed myself".
Sesshomaru could hear Inuyasha whine.
"Kagome if you want to stay, I could take Rin home. I was going to head out myself as well". says Sesshomaru.
Everyone looked to Sesshomaru and Inuyasha had a smirk on his face. I knew it, that damn Kagura is in the way, Inuyasha thinks.
Kagome looks to Rin, and she nods and says, "It's okay". Kagome goes to give her a hug and says, "Let me know when you make it home".
Sesshomaru looks to Rin, "Ready?"
"Yes".
