Kagome and Yuka grab Rin's hand and shuffle her outside. Rin couldn't help the smile that left her.
"I just knew you guys would be partners," Kagome says.
"I think things will be different once you show off that little dance you have been practicing. When you sent us that video of you dancing, I almost turned into a lesbian," Yuka laughs.
"Now that reality is here, he is all mine, and I am nervous. Will I be able to pull this off? I never wanted to do something so bad for someone. I want to show him how much I want him just by dancing for him".
"Don't think too much about it, just let things flow because once that music start, it will be all she wrote," Kagome says.
Rin nods, "Well I am going to get out of here, talk to you girls later".
The girl's wave and Rin waits for her uber; Sesshomaru approaches her.
"I knew we would be partners".
Sesshomaru was well aware of that look she gave him, and he will pry into it at a different time, hopefully in different circumstances.
"I was betting on it," Rin smiles.
"Your friends left you to take an uber, cancel it. I will take you home".
"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother".
"I wouldn't be asking you if you were a bother, Rin".
Rin's heart skipped a beat. For some reason, the way he said her name did something to her.
Rin goes in the uber app and cancels her trip. They weren't close to her, so she didn't feel too bad.
"Thank you Sesshomaru".
"It is my pleasure Rin".
Rin steps into Sesshomaru's vehicle and thought she could get use to this. She envisioned her and Sesshomaru going on dates. She looked in the backseat and thought about doing a quickie, she smiles. Rin quickly tries to change her thoughts when Sesshomaru enters the vehicle.
She smiles at Sesshomaru and he turns to start up the car.
Rin decides to start a conversation. She needed to know how he felt about the private dance. "How do you feel about private dancing, are you interested in it?"
"If you are uncomfortable, I will not push for it. You can decide what you want to do on your own".
"Well, I was asking you if you would participate?"
"Depends on my mood".
Rin thought she would get more out of him. She thought maybe he will not appreciate the kind of dance she wanted to do for him. It was erotic for sure, and will put out emotions she wouldn't normally display, especially if he didn't reciprocate her feelings.
"I agree, we will explore that obstacle when we get there".
There was a ring coming through Sesshomaru's touchscreen radio; Kagura.
Sesshomaru thought out of all times, she would call now. Rin thought it must be women's intuition that made her call because he stated he has not been in contact with her.
Sesshomaru switches his Bluetooth to device so the conversation could only be heard using his phone. Rin could only hear what Sesshomaru was replying to.
"What is it Kagura? I have not seen or heard from you".
"I know, I just have been busy".
"Not an excuse, you don't even show up to class that you forget you got me to join with you".
"I know, I will make this up to you".
"I am okay Kagura. I don't need you to make up anything to me. You can continue to do what you have been doing".
"We are still together Sesshomaru, do not treat me like that".
"As far as I am concerned, this relationship was over when you decided to stop reaching out to me. The only thing I ask of you Kagura is for you to get your things out of my house".
"Wow Sesshomaru! I am at your house now and when you get here, we need to talk".
Sesshomaru hangs up the phone annoyed. Kagura is waiting for him at his home. If he could stay longer with Rin he would, but he needed to get rid of some old baggage.
"I apologize Rin".
"It is fine, I know what it is like. Relationships are hard, well they can be hard depending on who you are with, they can make it hard for no reason".
Rin thought maybe she shouldn't do this dance with him. He accepted her call and from the conversation, it seemed as if he was over her, but she heard the last part Kagura said, she was at his house. They could make up when he gets there. Then there will be a competition between her and Kagura, trying to win Sesshomaru's affections. She couldn't do it, Kagura could have him. It was too much baggage for her.
As long as Kagura doesn't bother her, she wouldn't be tempted to do her little number for Sesshomaru. Rin turns her head to look out the window.
"Kagura will not ruin anything. She will not have me distracted because of her foolish games; we will enjoy our time as partners".
Rin turns her head and that reassures her, she smiles.
The rest of the ride was silent. It made it awkward that Kagura would call out of the blue. They arrive at Rin's complex, and she steps out, but turns to look into the car. "Thank you Sesshomaru once again".
"You are welcome, Rin. I will be looking forward to speaking to you some time before class starts".
"Well, we got each other's numbers so yeah".
Rin waves bye and closes the door. She goes inside of her apartment. Sesshomaru watches as she enters her apartment.
He thought maybe he should have walked her in to make sure there wasn't any intruders, he didn't know what he would do if something happened to her.
Sesshomaru arrives at his home and sees Kagura standing outside of her car. He dreaded this, she just needed to get her things and leave.
Sesshomaru gets out of his car and walks by her. "Well, that was rude, no greeting at all".
Kagura was playing her cards well, she knew what she was doing. Kagura and her beau fell out and she needed Sesshomaru to fill the void. She didn't know if she and her new friend would get back on good terms, but she didn't want to think about it. It would be too many human feelings for her.
Kagura walks behind Sesshomaru, "You changed the locks so I couldn't get in".
Sesshomaru turns on the lights and in the front room, her things were already packed by the door, if she ever decided to show her face again.
"Really Sesshomaru! Why are you trying to get rid of me? It is not like we haven't been separated this long before; it is normal for us to be this way. What has changed?"
"I do not want to do this with you anymore, it's boorish".
"It's that bitch Rin isn't it; you don't have to lie. She has got to you, hasn't she?"
"Rin does not have anything to do with me and you. You keep putting her into this relationship, I have been with you Kagura. I am loyal to you even if I see the relationship fading, I have respect until we end everything on good terms".
Kagura needed this conversation to end in her favor. "Forgive me Sesshomaru, I get jealous. I should have known you would always be loyal to me. How could I be a fool? We don't have to be together anymore if that is what you truly want. I just ask that you give me some time to get myself together before you throw me out".
Kagura thought she would try to make a move on Sesshomaru and hoped he wouldn't reject her advances; she needed to be in this house. She was desperate, she would work any magic she could just so she wouldn't get kicked out. She had been living with her new guy friend. It started off where she would come every now and then but then she just ended up staying with him.
Her guy friend knew she had ties to Sesshomaru. He thought whatever she had with him, she needed to end them. Kagura thought her not showing up or being around Sesshomaru was enough, but it wasn't for her guy. He needed Kagura to end things the correct way. He felt Sesshomaru was owed that. What Kagura did not speak aloud was that she wanted her cake and eat it too.
She knew Sesshomaru was a loyal dog and them being separated like this was nothing. Their relationship was considered normal, but one does get tired. Especially when you meet someone as Sesshomaru did with Rin, feelings begin to develop. Sesshomaru became curious, his relationship with Kagura was coming to an end. He could explore what was foreign to him all these years.
"Kagura, you have one week and that is it. Your affairs have nothing to do with mine, so keep in mind to mind your own business".
That was all Kagura needed to hear. She would try to get Sesshomaru back, sadly only on her terms.
For the next couple days there was no communication between Sesshomaru and Rin. She wanted to speak to him, but she felt when he got home that night, something may have happened between him and Kagura. She just had that eerie feeling that Kagura was still around.
Walking into dance class, Miroku and Sango had some stands set up around the room. There were people there that represented different types of dance genres.
"We have partnered up with these lovely people to help motivate or inspire the kind of dance you are in to. We didn't want anyone to feel they should dance for their partner erotically, even though I would have loved to see it". Sango hits Miroku's shoulder, "Stop".
Sango continues while rolling her eyes at Miroku. "You can choose any type of genre, any type of style. Some may want to do tap dancing, swing, ballroom etc. At the end of the day, that will be up to you and your partner. If your partner does not want to participate or if you both don't feel up to it, it will not be held against you. Your partner may still be interested and want to show off some moves but that is up to you to accept. Those who do not want to participate will have a group of their own, they may just feel more comfortable in group settings".
Miroku intervenes, "We will all have a good time, no matter what everyone's decisions are".
Rin smiles and looks around for Sesshomaru, she does not see him but sees Inuyasha. Rin walks up to Inuyasha who was nuzzling Kagome's neck. "Excuse me lovebirds, have you seen Sesshomaru".
"Come to think of it, I have not seen or heard from him," Inuyasha says.
"I have not heard from him either". Rin begins to worry because not even his brother has heard from him.
Rin takes out her phone and calls Sesshomaru but she gets no answer. She turns to Inuyasha and he pulls his phone out and calls Sesshomaru but he gets no answer either. It was unlike him not to show up. From their last conversation he did say he would be here.
As Rin was walking towards Sango and Miroku to inform them that Sesshomaru was not there and not answering her, or his brothers calls she notices Sango looks up and smiles. "Hello Kagura, it is nice of you to join us, we have not seen you for some time".
Rin's head spinned around so fast, she made herself dizzy. She sees the both of them entering and she immediately felt defeated. She didn't want to walk out of class, she would look suspicious as if her and Sesshomaru had something.
Sesshomaru looked at her with the softest gaze, it almost made her melt. It was as if he was apologizing. Everyone had their focus on Kagura, but Sesshomaru and Rin had their focus on each other.
