Kagura and Sesshomaru walk in together. Rin's eyes widened, she knew it. He let her back in. What is going to happen now?
Kagura would try to become a part of their little duo. Rin was not having it, she could keep him, it wasn't worth the trouble. Miroku and Sango said there would be a place for those who were better in a group setting and she thought, if it came to it, she would have to go there. She didn't want to be a part of a love triangle.
Rin and Sesshomaru are staring at each other. Kagura looks over at the two, there was something there, she knew it. She could see the way Sesshomaru looked at Rin, he never looked at her that way. She didn't say anything because she knew she and Sesshomaru were done. He said it in so many kind words a couple days prior.
Sango walks up to Kagura. "Wow, long time no see. It seems you came at somewhat the wrong time; everyone is partnered up except for those individuals who are not into the duo thing".
"So Sesshomaru is partnered up with someone?"
"Yes, he is with Rin".
Kagura looks up at Sesshomaru and looks over to Rin. "Well okay, I will just see where I fit in".
"You both were not here when we announced that we have partnered with various dance instructors that teach different genres of dance. You are more than welcome to look around and see what catches your attention".
Sango looked at Sesshomaru but he had his eyes still on Rin. She smiles and thinks those two were meant to find each other.
Sesshomaru walks off and begins to pace towards Rin. Rin could not help it; her heart was thumping.
"Hello Rin".
"Sesshomaru, I know I should have called".
"It goes both ways; I didn't call either".
"I see now you had your reasons why you wouldn't".
To take away the tension, Sesshomaru guides Rin to the stands to see if they could agree on a certain dance the two would do. Rin already had her decision made up, so she assumed he needed to figure out what he wanted to do.
She decided not to pry into what was going on with him and Kagura. He would open up when he was ready.
Kagura watched from the side. No one seemed to be interested in doing a group session. Therefore, she contemplated her decisions. She thought about how she first got into wanting to dance and how excited she was to have Sesshomaru be a part of it. He loved to dance, and she thought it would be good for them to bring them back together.
She knew why she needed to let Sesshomaru go. It seemed as if nature was just doing its due diligence, it was bigger than her. She had no control over fate but right now she wished she did. To be honest it was about him moving on and him being truly happy. She wanted to fulfill that, and she felt like a failure because now he will be happy with someone else, he will smile again.
Yes, she may have moved on but someone she had been with for years who became her best friend, who only smiled for her, only frowned at her now. It was confusing for her but seeing him with Rin confirmed so much, she needed to let him go so he can be truly happy. She was so obsessed with how she felt, she never thought twice about how he might feel.
He said it the night before, he stayed loyal to her because of their past together. She was keeping him away from his happiness.
She found hers in her new beau and all he asked for Kagura to do was to give Sesshomaru the respect as a male and tell him the truth about their relationship.
She owed him, to let go, her friend. If he still considered her that.
Just to think how Sesshomaru and Rin's relationship started off in the beginning, a little rough but now they are becoming friends. Maybe even more than that very soon.
Sesshomaru told some jokes he didn't particularly laugh at, but Rin did.
Suddenly there was a commotion at the door.
Kagura's beau tracked her down and walked into the middle of class. Kagura was in shock, she looked over at Sesshomaru and Sesshomaru looked confused as to why she looked that way.
"What is up with this guy? I don't think I have ever seen him here before," Rin says.
The man looks over in Sesshomaru's direction and begins to pace towards him. Sesshomaru, being an alpha demon, goes into defense mode. If the man made any sudden movements, he would strike him where he stands.
"Excuse me Sesshomaru but I am Kagura's boyfriend, we have been together for quite some time now. I thought she came to see you to put an end to everything, but it seems as if she is playing some game".
Rin backs up, she didn't want to be in between a crossfire. Inuyasha becomes alert to the situation.
"What you do with Kagura is none of my concern".
"I at least thought she would give you the decency of speaking with you face to face as you have been together for so long".
"Kagura is no longer my concern. She is your problem now. I would appreciate it if you collected her things from my house. Kagura and I do not need to speak, she knows the truth even if she tries to hide from it".
Rin could not believe what was going on. Inuyasha walks up to Sesshomaru, he could feel his demonic energy taking over and it would be a matter of seconds before it erupts.
"Brother let's go".
"Alright class, I apologize for that abrupt meeting, we will see you all next class. Be careful, all of you," Miroku says.
Sesshomaru was beyond pissed, he was embarrassed in front of the class and especially in front of Rin. All those years of loyalty and that bitch Kagura didn't even have the decency to tell him she moved on. He was going to wait until the relationship ended with Kagura to see about pursuing Rin but only if she gave him that chance.
He didn't walk away, but she did, and then she acted as if he was the problem. She was out there in another relationship holding onto what little love they had for each other so she could use him. If this wasn't a sign from the Gods themselves showing she truly wasn't the one for him. They were not destined to be together.
Sesshomaru and Inuyasha walk out the building and in the parking lot, Kagura's beau is still trying to talk to Sesshomaru.
Inuyasha gets in front of Sesshomaru, "You need to leave. Whatever business you have with Kagura, it has nothing to do with my brother. He asked you to pick up her things, you have nothing else to talk about".
Kagura never cries but she feels tears well up, "Sesshomaru, I am sorry. I was not trying to play you. I was just trying to figure out who I truly wanted to be with".
"Kagura, it is easy. I do not want you anymore".
Rin, Kagome, and Yuka stand away from the crowd. Sesshomaru looks at Rin from the corner of his eye, he should be with Rin right now. They should be leaving together at this moment.
Miroku notices things have escalated outside, "Kagura and the guy that professed his love to you must leave the premises. You are causing a lot of disruption".
"I understand". She grabs her guy friend, and they leave quickly out of the parking lot.
Rin begins walking up to Sesshomaru now that she sees Kagura and her friend leaving. Kagome walks up to Inuyasha and hugs him.
Sesshomaru couldn't even look at Rin. Rin didn't want to intervene because first it was on another level for a love triangle, and it made her think about her past with her ex. Her ex was cheating on her and she was confronted by the other woman while she was out and about with Kagome. So, she knew what it was like to be in this predicament.
Rin walks directly in front of Sesshomaru, she turns and looks at Kagura driving away. "Are you okay Sesshomaru?"
"It is none of your business Rin".
Rin tries to console him and runs her hand along his cheek, "I do not need your pity". Sesshomaru says moving away.
"I am not, I am just a friend that wants to be there. Do not push me away".
Sesshomaru looked at Rin and he wanted to take his anger out but not on her, she was not the cause of his anger. He thought about what could ease his anger, he looked to her lips. He thought about kissing those soft lips she pouts out all the time.
"I apologize, my anger shouldn't be directed towards you".
Rin thought to lighten the mood. She claps her hands together and smiles "You want to give me a ride, we can talk about it on the way," she says walking towards his car.
Sesshomaru glances down at her with his eyebrow cocked. "You are a strange woman, after all of this, you are quirky".
"That is what friends are for, we are here to change the temperature, especially from that wild scene that just occurred".
"I will take you home and we will talk," Sesshomaru says.
"I will be fine". Sesshomaru looks at Inuyasha and nods to show appreciation for taking up for him.
Rin waves to Kagome and Yuka.
Sesshomaru opens Rin's door and then Sesshomaru enters the driver's side.
"How are you feeling?" Rin asks.
"I did not expect the turn of events tonight".
"I don't think anyone was. I would be pissed too".
"Welcome to my life," he responds.
"Then you two come in together and then she turns around to leave with her "boyfriend," she says.
"We only came in together because she begged me. I do not know what she was trying to prove but we have nothing anymore".
"I know demoness and women are different but maybe she was still holding on to a friendship you once had. I know with my ex, no matter how he treated me; I missed the friendship. It may look like a backwards way of thinking but you and Kagura did have a friendship at one time".
"You are right, we did have a friendship and that is probably why I held on too".
"You see I am good for something," Rin smiles.
"Yes, you are very good," Sesshomaru says, eyeing Rin's thighs.
Rin couldn't help but think he said that very seductive like. "Is it finally over between you two?"
"Yes, it is".
"You will need time to heal. I know I needed it. It almost damaged me; it was a waste of time. I could have met the person I was meant to be with already. I probably walked right past him and didn't even know, hopefully he is still out there".
"I am sure you have met him already and he is swooning over you this very minute, waiting for the right time to sweep you off of your feet". Sesshomaru hoped she would take the hint with, "this very minute" but she disappoints him.
"That was very sweet of you to say, thank you Sesshomaru".
Sesshomaru nods.
"To change the topic, did any of the different genres of dance intrigue you".
"With all this drama, I have not thought about it. Have you figured out something yet?"
"It is a surprise," she smiles mischievously.
Sesshomaru squints his eyes. "Well, I will act very surprised then. I hope you will keep me entertained".
Sesshomaru smiles and from the side she could see his fang. She tried not to think about it but if those fangs ever came across her body…
"Rin did you hear me?"
"Yes, I heard you, I will keep you very entertained".
"I like that challenge".
