Olivia steps out of the shower, and finishes her skin care routine. With her face being primed for her make up selection for this evening, she is in thought of what's to come.

She thinks of her attempt to reach Mellie earlier, after talking with Fitz, and still being sent to voicemail. Her childish nature really is a pain in the ass, she thinks to herself. But, not really surprising.

Her thoughts are broken when she hears a knock on her bedroom door. She grabs her robe, and goes to the door. It then dons on her that the music has stopped, otherwise no way she would've heard a knock at her door.

Nonetheless she asks, "Who is it?" She hears, "It's me." Knowing it's Abby she says, "Come on in." The door swings open and in walks Abby dressed to impress, with an amazing make up palette to boot. Olivia excitedly says, "Damn diva, don't hurt em now." She replies, "Girl, my mission is to seek and destroy, okay?" They share a laugh as she closes the door behind her, and Abby plops down on the bed.

As Olivia walks back into the bathroom to remove her skin cream, and prep her face for the first layer of makeup. She asks, "Is everything okay? I heard the music stop?"

Abby replies, "Yeah it's all good. Ally just took a break to change her clothes. We should be back up and running here in the next half hour. I'm just glad she was available to DJ for us at the last minute."

She nods as she says, "Right. Me too. We got lucky with that one, Much like the food donation from Eric's dad."

She nods as she responds, "I know right; I was wondering what in the hell we were going to feed people at the last minute. It's great to have friends with connections in times like these; never thought I'd need a friend whose dad's a grocery store wholesaler though."

Abby laughs as she replies, "Girl we need to play the lottery with this string of luck; we've got a DJ and a full menu of food, within an hour before throwing a party. That's got to be a record, especially since we haven't spent a dime yet. That reminds me, Harry said they'll bring beer and liquor instead of food."

As she finishes removing her face cream, and dries her face, she peeks out the door as she says, "Hmm, since when did you and Harry become pleasant enough to chat directly? Do I detect a rekindling in the works?"

She rolls her eyes playfully at her friend as she replies, "Girl bye. Ain't nobody checking for him. It was one kiss Liv, a long ass time ago." But in her head, she knows it was a hell of a lot deeper than one kiss. It was one night of pure passion and freaky sex they both immensely enjoyed. But, haven't darkened that door ever again.

She snaps out of her head as Olivia teases, "One kiss you say. I see you still sticking to that story; you get an "A" for effort and consistency." They share a laugh together as Abby throws a decorative pillow at her in response.

As their laughter quells, Olivia starts her makeup routine and Abby comes to stand in the doorway as she gets ready.

Watching her process, she asks, "Have you heard from Mellie?" She shakes her head as she says, "No. I tried calling again, and again I was sent to voicemail. So I texted her and asked her to let me know if she was going to be attending her own party or not. But still, no answer. Why?"

She takes a breath as she says, "Just wondering. I can't say I'm surprised. She's certainly known for taking everything too damn far; especially when it comes to her being wrong."

She can't agree with her more as she says, "Tell me about it. It's always been her thing to push the envelope and act like everyone else has the problem, not her."

Abby nods as she says, "And that's what privilege looks like. Not being accountable for anything you do, and able to walk around like your mistakes don't count; while blowing up everybody else's. I just can't wrap my head around that logic."

Olivia finishes blending her eye make up, and contouring her nose as she then applies her lashes as she says, "Me either Abs. But it is what it is. Admittedly, I have accepted her for who she is for the sake of peace for a long time. But I now see my error in judgement for letting too much go for too long with her."

Curious about her response she asks, "What do you mean? Did something else happen?" She sighs as she replies, "Nothing new per se, I've just been thinking about her current antics and stuff that's happened in the past. And I realize that I could've said more to combat her, but I didn't."

Understanding where she's coming from Abby replies, "Like with Fitz. Her leading him on or should I say misleading him all this time." She moves on to her lip color choice, as she responds, "Yes. And this thing with Nick is also annoying me too. I want to tell him so badly; because I don't want him to be blindsided."

Abby asks, "What makes you think she'll bring him tonight or any night for that matter? She's clearly hiding him for a reason."

Olivia makes her lip color selection and after lining her lips, she says, "Given the way she left Fitz's house in a huff. I'm betting she's up to something. And getting back at him for not falling for her bullshit, may prompt her to bring him with her tonight out of spite." Abby nods as she says, "I can see that happening; she'd play up the fact she met Nick while out on a date with Fitz. Essentially setting the stage as if Nick stole her from him."

Olivia nods as she says, "Bingo. Because that's the petty patty she can be at times. And as much as I truly do care for her; I cannot stand it when she does this type of shit. And, I am having a real hard time with her possibly doing it to Fitz."

Abby lightens the mood a bit as she replies, "I feel you girl. Nobody stunts on bae; am I right?" Olivia catches her humor and they both chuckle.

When their smiles settle, Abby says, "Seriously Liv; I think you should give him a heads up about Mellie and Nick. He deserves to know, especially now that she is going to be in serious petty mode toward him for a while."

She looks at her friend with complete agreement written all over her face, as she responds, "I agree. I will tell him when he gets here. I was hoping she'd do it and was leaving it for her to handle. But it's clear that's not in her plan, or at least it's not in her plan to do it in a respectful way. Because it's all about her and her ego."

Abby agrees as she says, "Exactly, but like you said. It is what it is. Because she is who she is. And she's not changing. At least not right now." Olivia nods as she finishes her ice blue color stay lip application. And steps back to give herself a final look.

She likes what she sees and Abby agreeably says, "Nice chica, very nice. Looking all sexy and ready for action; I see you." Olivia laughs as she replies, "Well preparedness is the first step to executing one's goal." She responds. "Facts, and apparently your goal is to stop bae in his tracks, because the vibes i'm getting from the makeup i pure sex; so i'm betting the whole ensemble is sure to be absolute fire my dear."

Olivia winks at her friend as she excitedly walks over to her closet, where she opens the door to her outfit hanging on it. And says, "You were saying." The grin on Abby's face turns to a look of oh damn, as she replies, "Holy shit Liv, I hope you have a replenishment of condoms on hand, because you are going to be busy tonight." Olivia deviously responds, "That's the plan love. And I surely can't wait." She's still thinking. I have the matching undies too, so it is sure to be a real treat, when he peels this off of me tonight. Damn, I need more of that good good. As she flashes back in her head, about their love time, her bud quakes between her thighs and she almost bites her bottom lip.

Meanwhile, Abby sees her friends' initial expression and also hears her tone, pushing her to ask, "Hey, you're really feeling him aren't you?" Quickly, she quells her sexually deviant thoughts for a moment, as she looks at her and says, "Yes. I am." She's intrigued at her response and asks, "Why do you think you're so into him right now?"

She can tell where this is going, and easily says, "Abs, It's not about Eddie, that i know for certain." Abby believes her but asks, "So what do you think it's about?"

She pauses then replies, "I don't know if this is a matter of my crush from high school resurfacing. Or if this feeling I have is about me liking him for who he is now. But, I know that I am more than interested in finding out where this road takes us. And, I don't recall being this excited and intrigued about my future with any guy before."

Happily she responds, "Well, bravo for you Liv. That's huge considering you're literally two weeks off of being engaged to be married. I'm sure this just confirms your decision to break up with him was the right thing to do." She nods as she says, "Yes to a point you're right. I couldn't be this happy about my future with anybody else if I was still stuck in a dead end relationship with Eddie."

Abby adds, "Speaking of which, have you seen the promo footage for the gala tonight?" She sits down on the padded bench as she lotions her legs, as she replies, "No. I haven't. Why?" She replies, "Well, it's been a real hoot watching the local political pundits fall all over themselves trying not to mention the broken engagement, but still compliment him and Jasmine." She smiles as she says, "I'll bet. That cease and desist order does well to set fine boundaries for the media, and they can't stand it."

She responds, "Agreed girl. I can't lie. I kept waiting to see if anybody slipped up." They both chuckle as Olivia finishes moisturizing her legs and arms as she replies, "You're a nut; but I love you anyway."

Abby responds. "Ditto chica. Well, I am going to head out and let you finish dressing. Stephen is grilling up the food, and i'm quite certain he should be ready to set up the tables by now."

She nods as she says, "That's cool. Tell him thanks for grilling for us. Are you going to leave the food outside?" Abby replies, "I will. Yes. Since they got the tent up; I have the tables with the food on it under it; with the coolers for the beer sitting beside each one, ready to be filled. I figured this way the only reason people need to come inside is to leave out the front, or go to the bathroom."

Olivia agrees as she says, "I like the way you think. The less people inside the easier the inside clean up will be. Plus with the gate open for the pool; most people will use the facilities in the pool house instead of coming in here." Abby replies, "Yes mam. I agree with that."

Their conversation is interrupted as the music begins to play again, and Abby says, "Welp, that's my cue. You'd better get it going my dear. Folks will be arriving soon." She responds, "I will. But hey Abs, I need you to do me a favor." She replies, :"Sure thing, what's up?" Olivia says, "No matter what. Don't engage Mel tonight. Lets just let our hair down and enjoy the atmosphere. We can hash out the drama another day. Okay?" Abby nods as she says, "You got it Liv. I will tame my tongue for tonight. I need a break from the drama too." Olivia agreeably says, "Good. See you in a bit." She replies, "Sure thing."
