Chapter 35

Olivia slowed her car and placed the gear in park, turning her head toward his front door, staring, contemplating her next move. She knows she shouldn't be there, but her mind has been plagued with concern for Edison. Her eyes drop to the steering wheel, then lift back to his front door. If she gets out of the car, she'll betray Fitz and possibly ruin their marriage. She grabs the alcohol addiction pamphlets from her purse, bringing her hand to the door knob, opening it. The sun beams down on her wedding ring, and creates an instant glimmer, catching her attention. Her breathing hitches and Olivia shakes her head, closing the door. Her phone rings loudly throughout the car, announcing, "call from husband." She immediately presses the 'ok' button on the dashboard, answering the call. Fitz's deep baritone voice croons through the speaker, "Livvie where are you? I'm at your office."

"Shit." Olivia cursed under her breath. "Oh…Fitz…I stopped to get tea." She lied, speeding off.

"I have your tea, baby. I saw it on the kitchen counter and brought it to you." He responded.

"You're so sweet. I'm on my way, baby."

Olivia parked and sprinted to her office, bumping into Fitz.

"Slow down, baby." He chuckled, bringing her flush against his chest.

Olivia slowly slipped out of his embrace and picked up the travel mug from her desk. "Thanks for the tea."

"I thought you stopped to get tea?" He asked, suspiciously.

"I…um…I tossed it in the garbage on the way inside." Olivia answered, shuffling papers on her desk, refusing to look him in the eye.

Fitz lifted her chin and stared her deep in the eyes. "You know I'm a lawyer."

Olivia crossed her arms in front of her chest. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"I know when people are lying to me." He sat on the edge of the desk and crossed his arms, waiting for her to speak.

"Fitz." Olivia said.

"You feel like shit right now, whatever you planned on doing this morning, I'm positive you won't do it again." Fitz said, easing off the desk.

"Baby." Olivia said, walking behind him.

"Enjoy your tea, Olivia." He strolled to the door, taking one last look at her, whispering, "I love you."

Olivia stood at the door and watched Fitz walk down the hallway. She leaned against the door frame, feeling horrible about her actions. She knew if she told Fitz, he would be upset. This was one secret she would take to the grave.

Olivia's day was filled with non-stop meetings and she couldn't wait until it ended. Disappointment filled her every time she checked her phone and didn't see a text message from Fitz. His normal pattern of sending love messages throughout the day was missed. She rubbed her temples and sighed. Dropping her phone inside her purse, she straitened up the few papers that were scattered on her desk. Her phone dinged and she lifted it from her purse, smiling as she saw a message from Fitz.

Fitz: I'm having drinks with Stephen tonight. Don't wait for me.

Olivia: Did you just decide this?

Fitz: Yes, something came up and I need to talk to him out of the office. I'll see you at home.

Olivia: Ok. I'll see if Abby and Quinn are free for drinks. Love you.

No response.

Olivia sighed and swung her purse over her shoulder, walking out of the office. She sent a text to Abby and Quinn inviting them to meet her at their favorite restaurant for drinks and appetizers. Her heels clicked loudly on the hard concrete as she walked across the parking lot to her car. She paused and turned when she heard someone calling her name. Makayla jetted toward her with a pen and notepad in her hand.

Olivia gave a slight wave before tossing her purse inside the car.

"Hey, Liv." Makayla said, opening her arms for a hug.

Olivia smirked, and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Oh, it's like that." Makayla huffed.

"What do you want Makayla?" Olivia asked, leaning her shoulder against the car.

Makayla opened her black notepad and twisted the cap off her pen. "I was hoping you would grant me a short interview for the article I'm writing on the school."

"You need to call my administrative assistant and schedule a meeting." Olivia answered.

"Liv, come on, we're way cooler than that. You can give me a few lines right now."

"We're not cool, Makayla."

Makayla placed her hand on her hip. "Is it because I didn't come to your wedding?"

Olivia chuckled. "It's more than the wedding. I've tried to be a good friend to you even after the shit you pulled in Miami. Why haven't you answered my text messages or calls?"

Makayla sighed. "Liv, I have my own stuff going on. Honestly, I didn't want to see your happily ever after."

"What!" Olivia shouted, taking a few shallow breaths. "Goodbye Makayla."

"Wait, Liv. I didn't mean it like that." Makayla said, looking down at her sneakers. "I'm pregnant."

"What does that have to do with me?" Olivia asked.

"I found out I was pregnant around your wedding and I just didn't want to be there. My situation is complicated."

"Complicated?"

"I want love too, Olivia!" Makayla shouted through her tears.

"You decided having a baby was the answer? Is it the guy you met in Miami?" Olivia asked.

Makayla glared in Olivia's direction. "Marcus is the father."

"Fitz's friend?" Olivia blurted out.

"Yes." Makayla answered.

"Does Marcus know about the pregnancy?" Olivia asked.

"Yes, he knows. He wants a paternity test." Makayla huffed.

Olivia shook her head. "When did you see Marcus?"

"I started calling him after our Miami trip. He invited me to Atlanta for a visit and I went. The pregnancy wasn't planned if that's what you're thinking."

"Come on, Makayla. We're adults. You knew damn well when you went to visit Marcus, you were going to fuck him. What I don't understand is, why go backwards? He cheated on you with Mellie."

"I was lonely." Makayla said, wiping the tears from her eyes.

Olivia smirked. "Are you keeping the baby?"

"Yes, Olivia." Makayla snickered.

"I'm sorry…I just…" Olivia said.

"So, while you were in your marital bliss, I was trying to figure out my life." Makayla said.

"Wow, I don't know what to say."

"I've been under a lot of stress and I'm struggling at work. If my next article isn't strong and up to the newspaper's standards, I probably will be fired." Makayla said.

"That's unfortunate, Makayla." Olivia said.

Makayla stepped back. "I'm sorry I haven't been a good friend, Liv. I really am."

"A long time ago my mother told me, people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. I thought you would be a friend for a lifetime, but you proved otherwise. Our friendship is over."

Makayla stared at Olivia. "I just said I was sorry."

"Too little, too late." Olivia said, opening her car door.

"I'm going to be around, Liv, whether you like it or not. Marcus and Fitz are friends."

Olivia chuckled. "You're not in a relationship with Marcus. Our friendship is over so, it will be a cold day in hell before I even think about speaking to you again."

Makayla huffed. "I guess this means you're not doing the article?"

"I think you can answer your own question. Good day, Makayla." Olivia said, sliding inside her car.

Olivia sashayed inside the restaurant and plopped down on the red leather seat, dropping her head in her hands.

"Bad day?" Quinn asked Olivia.

"I saw Makayla." Olivia answered, shaking her head. The waitress walked over and Olivia ordered a glass of red wine.

Abby rolled her eyes. "Oh brother."

"She's pregnant." Olivia blurted out.

"Figures she would do something stupid." Abby said, picking up a nacho chip, dipping it inside the salsa.

"I'm glad she finally told you." Quinn said, looking at Olivia with sad eyes.

Olivia snickered. "You knew?"

"Makayla told me about the pregnancy a couple of days before your wedding." Quinn sighed.

"Is she keeping it? Better yet who is the father? Is it the guy she met in Miami?" Abby rambled.

"Marcus." Quinn and Olivia chimed together.

"Wait one fucking minute…Marcus…Fitz's friend?" Abby asked.

"Yeah." Quinn said.

Abby chuckled. "She is the absolute worst."

"She's keeping the baby." Olivia said.

"I bet she is." Abby smirked. "Marcus has money and is well established, plus he's Fitz's friend which is a double jab to you. She knew exactly what she was doing. She's a real bitch, Olivia. I tried to warn you. Does Fitz know?"

Olivia shrugged. "He hasn't mentioned anything to me. Maybe that's why he's meeting with Stephen tonight."

"Marcus is probably shitting his pants. You know he was fucking Emily too." Abby said.

"OMG…You're right. She told us about them at the bachelorette party." Olivia said.

"What does that mean for you and Emily?" Quinn asked.

"I hope she doesn't think I had anything to do with Makayla and Marcus hooking up." Olivia said.

"I doubt it, Liv. It didn't sound like her and Marcus was serious." Quinn said.

Abby pointed to the bar. "Well, look what the cat dragged in."

Olivia glanced at the bar and dropped her head on the table. Her day couldn't get any worse. "What's he doing here?" She whispered.

Edison slowly eased on the bar stool, glancing in Olivia's direction, smiling.

"Good thing you dodged that bullet." Abby chuckled.

"Why does he keep looking over here?" Quinn asked. "He's making me nervous. Something doesn't seem right."

Olivia sighed. "I'm sure he wants me to acknowledge him."

"Let's go." Quinn said, standing, and grabbing her purse in her hand.

Edison stood from the bar and wobbled toward the table, blocking their exit. "Funny we're at the same bar."

"Edison what do you want?" Olivia asked.

Edison leaned on the table, attempting to stabilize himself from falling. "Woah, is the room spinning or is it just me?"

"It's just you." Abby snickered.

"You should catch an Uber and go home." Olivia said.

"I'm not going home. I specifically came here to see you." Edison said, digging in his pocket and pulling out a small velvet box, slowly bending down on one knee.

"What the fuck?" Olivia said.

"Leave him and marry me." Edison slurred, opening the box that displayed a diamond ring.

"We're leaving, Liv. Let's go!" Abby said, pushing her way through the booth.

Edison stood and turned to Abby, slightly pushing her down on the seat. "Sit the fuck down." He growled.

"Ouch." Abby said, rubbing her arm.

Olivia stood and shoved Edison out of the way.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…" Edison slurred, gripping Olivia's arm.

Olivia snatched her arm from his grip. "Don't fucking touch me." She glanced at Abby, "Are you ok?"

"Yeah." Abby answered. "Let's go."

"I said I was sorry, Livvie." Edison said, blocking Olivia and her friends from leaving.

"Bartender." Olivia yelled, standing on her toes.

"What seems to be the problem?" The bartender asked, walking over to them.

"We're trying to leave and this man won't let us." Quinn said.

"Sir, step aside." The bartender demanded.

"She's my girl." Edison said.

"Sir, step aside or I'll have to remove you from the restaurant."

Edison shifted out of the way and allowed Olivia and her friends to pass. Olivia turned and strolled back to Edison, looking him up and down, "I am so glad I got a glimpse of the real you and I didn't waste my life marrying you. You're pathetic. Don't ever come near me or my friends again."

Olivia rushed out of the restaurant and met Abby and Quinn in the parking lot. She hugged Abby, "I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing, Liv. It's not your fault." Abby said.

"I think Edison followed you here tonight. I'm going to talk to Huck about it." Quinn said to Olivia, looking at the restaurant door where Edison was standing. "It seems weird that Edison showed up at the same restaurant."

"Do you think he followed me from work?" Olivia asked.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." Quinn said.

Olivia quietly walked inside the bedroom, undressing and showering. She slowly eased on the mattress, softly kissing Fitz on the lips, waking him. His eyes opened, blinking rapidly, before focusing on her brown doe eyes.

"I love you." She whispered against his lips with a soft kiss. "How was drinks with Stephen?"

"It was fine." He sighed, resting his forehead against hers, returning the kiss.

"Everything ok?" Olivia asked.

"Have you spoken to Makayla?" He asked.

"Funny you should ask, I saw her today." Olivia answered.

Fitz ran his hand through his sandy brown curls in frustration. "Marcus called me earlier today and told me about the pregnancy."

Olivia sighed. "I wish he'd used a condom."

Fitz shook his head. "It's not all on him, baby. They were two consenting adults who chose to have unprotective sex and now they have to deal with the consequence."

"I know."

"Marcus wants a paternity test." Fitz said.

"Yeah. Makayla said he's refusing to do anything until he's certain the baby is his."

"Do you think it's his baby? Was Makayla seeing anyone else?" Fitz asked.

"We weren't talking anymore, Fitz. I don't know." Olivia answered.

"I'm only asking because…if the baby is his, Marcus wants to move back to DC." Fitz stated, shifting on the mattress. "I spoke to Stephen about relocating to Atlanta."

Olivia's mouth hung open as she sat up on her knees. "Why would you have Stephen move to Atlanta?"

"Thanks to Marcus, the Atlanta office is booming. I need someone I trust to maintain the contacts and keep the office running. Do you think Abby will go with him?" Fitz sighed, bringing Olivia on his lap.

"I don't know, Fitz." Olivia threw up her hands, sitting back on his legs.

"Liv, nothing is set in stone. Stephen made it very clear that he wouldn't leave DC unless Abby is with him." He said, leaning forward caressing her in his arms.

Olivia placed her forehead against his. "Is there someone else you can send? The firm has so many lawyers."

"Baby, there isn't anyone with the same experience. It's either Stephen or me."

Olivia stared at the painting on the wall, trying to keep her tears from falling. "This is what Makayla wanted."

Fitz wiped the lone tear that drifted down her cheek. "What are you talking about?"

"Don't you see Fitz…I'm losing my best friend and…"

Fitz interrupted her, "Liv this might be a good thing for Stephen and Abby. I told Stephen, he will have full range over the office and can set up the practice as his own. Stephen has been very loyal to me. Abby can work alongside him, if she wants. She's been trying to make partner at her law firm and they've overlooked her. They can run the practice as a couple. After a year, I'll take my name off the practice and it will solely be his firm."

Olivia shrugged. "And I thought seeing Edison earlier was the worst of my night."

"Wait…what. You saw Edison?" Fitz asked, pulling the covers back, placing his feet on the floor.

"He just showed up at the restaurant. He was drunk, Fitz." Olivia said as a shiver went down her spine, causing her to shake.

"Livvie, what happened?" Fitz asked, calmly, rubbing her back.

"He pushed Abby and made a fool of himself."

"What!" Fitz yelled.

"Quinn thinks he followed me to the restaurant."

Fitz slammed his fist on the nightstand. "Why didn't you call me?"

"Everything happened so fast, Fitz." Olivia said. "Please calm down."

Fitz stood, pounding his feet heavily on the carpet, walking toward his office. "He could have followed you home. What if something happened to you? Fucking bastard!"

"It didn't, baby."

Fitz snatched the wooden drawer open, pulling out a piece of paper.

"Fitz why do you still have this?" Olivia asked, looking at the paper she'd written Edison's address on after her graduation party.

"Go to bed, Olivia." Fitz said, running his hands through his curls, reaching for the phone on his desk, dialing Huck's number.

"I was waiting for your call." Huck said.

"Did he follow her?" Fitz asked.

"Yeah. I tapped into the cameras from the school and Edison was there. When she pulled out of the parking lot, he was right behind her."

"I'm going to kill him!" Fitz shouted.

"You might have to beat Stephen to it." Huck said.

"Tell Stephen I'll take care of it."

"Don't do anything stupid, Fitz. Call Harrison."

X

Fitz parked in front of Edison's house and glanced at the paper in front of him, making sure he was at the right location. He stepped out of the car and looked to his right and saw Huck's car. He looked to the left and saw Harrison's black Escalade. Harrison stepped out of the car and greeted him. "I'm only letting you go inside because you promised to talk to him."

"That's all I'm going to do." Fitz said, starting to walk away.

Harrison pressed his palm on Fitz's chest, halting his steps. "Talk only, Fitz. Or make it look like self-defense. Got it!"

Fitz nodded, walking to the door, banging on the black painted wood.

"I'm coming...I'm coming." Edison shuffled to the door, swinging it open. He wore a white stained t-shirt and a pair of black and red checkered boxers.

Fitz looked at his watch, then at Edison, pushing his way inside the house. "It's eight in the morning and you're already drinking?"

"I didn't invite you inside." Edison slurred.

"I won't be long. Did you follow Olivia the other night?" Fitz asked.

Edison chuckled. "You're paranoid."

"Answer the fucking question!" Fitz demanded.

Edison stumbled to the couch and slouched down on the cushion, grabbing a beer can off the table, sipping it. "Do you want one?"

"I don't have time for this shit!" Fitz said, slapping the can out of Edison's hand and lifting him from the couch by his shirt. "You have two seconds to answer my fucking question."

Edison pushed away from Fitz and quickly turned, throwing up on the floor.

"You're pathetic." Fitz said, stepping back.

Edison wiped his arm across his mouth. "What did you do to get her to sleep with you?" Edison snaps his fingers. "Oh, I know…it was your money."

"Don't disrespect my wife. I didn't beat your ass at her graduation party, but it's just me and you and I'll mop the floor with your drunk ass."

Edison chuckled and stuck up his middle finger.

Fitz curled his fingers in a fist and swung it across Edison's face. Edison fell back on the couch and rubbed his cheek, spitting out blood. "Fuck...Alright...I followed her the other night. I just wanted to talk to her…that's all."

"Stay away from my wife or so help me God, I'll kill you myself and throw your body in a ditch." Fitz said, lunging toward Edison. Edison stretched out his arms, shielding himself from Fitz. "You won. I promise, I'll leave Olivia alone."

Fitz leaned closer to Edison. "I don't make empty threats. Don't test me!" Fitz walked to the door, opened it and yelled, "get some fucking help."

Edison dropped on the couch and placed his head in his hands. He picked up his cell phone from the table and called the only person he knew who could help him.

"Momma, I need your help."

X

Three months later…

Fitz glanced over at his beautiful wife and smiled. His fingers wandered from the steering wheel and dropped to the inside of her thigh, slowly making circles on her soft skin. Olivia leaned back on the leather seat and moaned.

"Can I go higher?" Fitz asked.

"Please." Olivia begged.

Keeping his eyes on the road, he inched his fingers higher, and massaged the hardened bud through the fabric of her thong. Olivia's hand gripped the leather arm rest as her orgasm peaked and rippled through her body.

It had been a tough few months for them. Their work schedules had become extremely busy, making the honeymoon phase of their marriage slowly fade away. Harrison had returned to New York for work, taking Alyssa with him. Although Fitz knew it was the best decision for the both of them, Alyssa had been a valuable employee to the law firm. She held him to task and made sure the office ran smoothly. Before leaving, Alyssa had interviewed several administrative assistants and had given Fitz her top three candidates. Their resumes were still on his desk. He hadn't called or looked at them since Alyssa left. He was still in denial.

His marriage was suffering and he knew it. He spent long hours at work and so did Olivia. Makayla was approaching her due date and Marcus anxiously awaited his fate. He'd worked out a preliminary schedule with Stephen and Marcus in case they had to swap locations. Olivia had a gut feeling the baby was Marcus' and her gut never lied. Olivia tried hard not to think about losing her best friend to another state. While at work, she cried inside her office and hid her true feelings when she was at home with Fitz.

Their blissful bubble had popped and real life was staring them in the face. When Olivia received the call that Alyssa had delivered the baby, she quickly organized a trip to New York, hoping some time away from DC would reconnect them.

Fitz pulled up to Harrison's house and turned off the car. Olivia stretched and looked over at her husband and smiled. She reached in her purse, and grabbed a piece of gum, placing it in her mouth.

"Love you." He said, opening the car door, rounding the corner to her side.

Olivia stepped out the car and threw her arms around his neck, kissing him, "love you too." She grabbed the five large pink gift bags from the backseat, excitedly walked up the steps, and pressed the doorbell.

Harrison swung the door open and smirked. "For fucks sake, Liv, the baby is sleeping."

Olivia cocked her head to the side, moving pass Harrison. "Do you talk like that around your daughter?"

Fitz smiled and shook Harrison's hand, walking inside the townhouse.

Olivia immediately noticed the difference in Harrison's place. The walls were painted a soft pale yellow and the old couches from his youth were missing. A pink and grey bassinet and bouncy seat set in the corner of the room. Fitz eased down on the cushion next to Olivia and wrapped his arm around her. She quickly dug inside the gift bags, pulling out several baby items. "We bought a ton of stuff for the baby. Can I at least know her name, now that I'm here?"

Harrison smiled. "I'll go and get her."

Harrison returned holding his daughter in his arms. "We kept her name a secret because we wanted to surprise you. Meet Paisley Olivia Wright."

Olivia's eyes welled with tears, "oh, Harry. You gave her my name?' Olivia asked looking up at Harrison, reaching out her arms for the little girl. "Hi Aunties baby."

"About the auntie thing." Alyssa said, yawning and entering the room, standing next to Harrison. "We would like for you and Fitz to be Paisley's godparents."

"Really?" Olivia said, looking at Fitz.

Fitz kissed Olivia's cheek and smiled. "We accept."

"There's something else." Alyssa said.

"I don't think I can take any more surprises." Olivia chuckled.

Alyssa held out her left hand, displaying a beautiful five-carat, princess cut diamond ring.

"Shut up!" Olivia squealed.

"Wow." Fitz said.

Harrison shrugged and offered Olivia a pink burp cloth to lay on her shoulder. "Alyssa mentioned something about a push present and I had no idea what it was. Good thing, google exists. I figured the best thing to give her was my heart and last name. After watching her give birth to Paisley, I was in awe. She's amazing."

"I'm so happy for the both of you." Olivia said.

"Yeah. We definitely needed some good news." Fitz said.

Alyssa smiled and sat on the oversized gray chair, curling her legs.

"Do you need anything, babe?" Harrison asked Alyssa.

"Some water please." She answered.

Harrison was quick on his feet, walking inside the kitchen and returning with three bottles of water, handing one to Alyssa, Fitz and Olivia.

"He's been great." Alyssa smiled at Harrison.

"You're so domestic, Harry. I love it." Olivia said.

Harrison laughed.

Paisley started squirming and whimpering in Olivia's arms. Her small head bobbed down toward Olivia's chest.

Alyssa chuckled. "It's feeding time." Alyssa stood and carried Paisley to the bedroom.

"How y'all been?" Harrison asked, chugging down water from the clear plastic bottle.

Fitz sighed. "Making it."

"We have a lot on our plate, Harry." Olivia answered.

"Look, you're in New York. Whatever is going on in DC, leave it there."

Olivia and Fitz nodded at each other.

"Why don't you go in the room with Alyssa? I need to holla at Fitz for a second." Harrison said to Olivia.

Olivia stood and kissed Fitz before joining Alyssa in the bedroom.

"What's the latest on Edison?" Fitz asked.

"He's still in the rehab program in Cali."

"Good."

"Did you ever tell Olivia what happened?"

"Not all of the details. I told her I went to see Edison and we talked."

"So, the part where you punched the shit out of him was left out?" Harrison said.

Fitz chuckled. "I figured we were even since she didn't tell me, she'd stopped by his place that morning."

Harrison shook his head. "Did you tell her about the tracking device I gave you?"

"No, I turned it off the minute I knew Edison was no longer an issue."

"Good." Harrison said. "Have you talked to your father?"

"No, but I think he's calling me. I've been getting several calls from an unknown number."

"It's probably him." Harrison said.

"I figured. How is Alyssa adjusting to life in the big apple?"

"Depends on the day. The baby keeps her busy and Olivia's parents have been a big help. I'm trying to hold out as long as I can before going back to work full-time."

Olivia walked inside the room, holding Paisley, sitting next to Fitz.

"Where's Alyssa?" Harrison asked.

"Sleeping." Olivia answered.

"She's up all-night feeding Paisley." Harrison said.

"Are you coming to dinner at my parent's?" Olivia asked.

"Absolutely. I wouldn't miss a free meal." Harrison chuckled.

Olivia looked down at Paisley and the little girl cooed and wrapped her small hand around Olivia's finger. "I want one, Fitz."

"Hmmm…"

"A baby, Fitz. I want one." She said, staring into his baby blue eyes.

"Livvie…we…need a little bit of time. Don't you think?"

"Maybe. But I want one."

X

Olivia bounced Paisley on her lap and created different sounds with her mouth, watching the little girl smile and coo. In her short stay in New York, she'd fallen in love with Paisley and desired a baby of her own. She knew the timing wasn't right and adding a baby in the mix would add more pressure on her marriage. Olivia looked over at Alyssa and smiled. "She's so precious."

Alyssa chuckled. "She's a lot of work too."

"I can only imagine." Olivia said, nuzzling her head against Paisley's, making the little girl coo louder.

"You have baby fever." Alyssa said.

"Since coming here…yeah, I want a baby with Fitz."

"Enjoy being married, Liv." Alyssa said. "It's not easy."

Paisley whimpered and Olivia handed her to Alyssa. She cradled the little girl in her arms and lifted her shirt, bringing her to the breast to nurse.

"Does it hurt?" Olivia asked, inching her head, looking in Alyssa's direction.

"Not anymore. At first it was hell, she was latching wrong. Now, breastfeeding is going great."

"That's good. Are you excited about getting married?" Olivia asked.

"Sort of. Harrison and I need to talk about some things before we settle on a date."

"Like what?" Olivia asked.

"He wants me to stay home with Paisley."

"Forever?"

"No, just until she turns one. I can't see myself staying home that long. I already miss wearing my suits and high heels."

Olivia chuckled. "Fitz is thinking about opening an office in New York."

"Really? That would be awesome. I would love to work for him again." Alyssa said, excitedly.

"Technically he wouldn't be the one running it but he would be involved with setting it up."

"Please tell him I'm interested."

"I will. I'm sure by the time Paisley is one, Fitz will be ready to open it."

"That would be amazing." Alyssa said.

"It's a win-win for you and Harrison. I'll be right back. I'm going to tell Fitz."

Alyssa nodded.

Olivia opened the sliding glass doors to the backyard. Harrison and Eli sipped from their beer cans. Fitz was nowhere in sight.

"Where's my husband?" Olivia asked, tapping her foot on the concrete.

Harrison chuckled.

"Dad?" Olivia asked.

"I'm not sure but he did leave this for you." Eli said, handing Olivia a white envelope.

Olivia took the card from her father and opened it. She blushed, reading the words on the card.

Fantasy: is the faculty of imagining things, especially things that are impossible or improbable.

Tonight, I'm fulfilling one of your fantasies.

There is a car waiting for you outside.

Go back to the hotel and open the package, then meet me downstairs at the bar.

Love you,

Fitz

"I have to go." Olivia said, waving and jumping up.

Harrison raised his beer can. "I figured that would be your answer.

X

Olivia lifted the top off the large white box, peering inside, moving around the pink tissue paper. She pulled out a short black dress and a pair of red Louboutin's. Her eyes zoomed to the single white rose, resting on the nightstand. She lifted it and sniffed the sweet scent of the flower and the hint of Fitz's cologne.

Olivia smiled and fell back on the bed. Excitement radiated through her body, she quickly jumped up and showered. Splashing perfume on her neck and donning her body with the extremely short black dress, she took one last look at herself in the mirror. She grabbed her purse off the dresser and exited the hotel room. Before entering the bar, she quickly gathered her thoughts and put her nerves in check. Thinking about the fake name she planned on using, she swung her long tresses over her shoulder and sashayed to the bar.

"Is this seat taken?" She asked, leaning on the bar, glancing at Fitz.

"Nope." He answered, staring into her brown doe eyes.

"Red wine." She announced to the bartender.

His eyes fell to her cleavage, which created an instant rise in his pants. Licking his lips, he brought his drink to his mouth and took a sip. He thought about taking her upstairs and foregoing the entire fantasy. Clearing his throat, he knocked himself out of his thoughts.

"See something you like?" Olivia asked, leaning closer to him.

"I see a lot that I like. What's a beautiful woman like you doing in a bar this late?" He asked.

Olivia looked away attempting to think of a quick response.

"Cat got your tongue." Fitz chuckled.

With a quick turn of her head, she answered. "I was waiting for someone but he stood me up."

"That's a shame." Fitz said, guzzling the rest of his drink down.

Olivia sipped her red wine and slid her hand on top of his left hand, noticing the silver band was missing. "Fitz where is your ring?" Olivia whispered.

He shook his head with a chuckle. "Baby, don't fall out of character. I had to take it off."

"Oh, right." She chuckled, twisting her ring hiding the diamond in her palm. "I'm Alex and you are?"

"Thomas." He answered.

"So, tell me, Thomas what's a handsome man like yourself doing here?" Olivia asked.

"Long day at work. I needed something to help me relax."

"I see. Maybe I can help you relax."

"What do you have in mind?" He asked, resting his hand on her knee.

Olivia chuckled. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve."

Fitz placed his finger on her lips, and tossed a $50.00 bill on the counter. "Let's stop talking."

Olivia slid off the bar stool and straitened her dress. Fitz leaned over to her. "I can't wait to take this off of you."

Olivia blushed.

The elevator doors closed and Fitz wasted no time moving Olivia against the wall, kissing her deeply. His hands roamed under her dress as he dipped his fingers in and out of her wet core. The elevator dinged, alerting them to their floor and he quickly licked his fingers, sucking the creamy substance from his fingers. Fitz scooped Olivia in his arms, kissing her as he slowly walked them to the room. Olivia pulled the key card from her purse, and handed it to him before resuming her passionate kisses. He quickly opened the door, closing it with a quick swift from his foot. Olivia slid down his body and slipped the black dress over her shoulders. Pinning her to the wall, he dropped to his knees, ripping her thong with his teeth. She swung her leg over his shoulder, allowing him to dive his head further into her core. His tongue circled around her swollen clit, working the hardened bud until it pulsated and the sweetest nectar released on his tongue. Cries tore from Olivia's lips and her legs weakened, shaking uncontrollably from her orgasm. He didn't retreat, he fucked her with his tongue until her body fell flush against him.

Fitz stood, and slapped her bare ass, demanding, "turn around."

"I like that." Olivia squealed, looking over her shoulder.

Fitz unbuckled his pants, quickly dropping them to the floor. Stroking his erection, he circled his fingers at the tip, rubbing the precum on his fingers. He brought his fingers to Olivia's mouth, "taste me."

Olivia turned in his arms and dropped to her knees taking his long, thick, length in her mouth bringing it to the back of her throat. Fitz fisted her curls through his fingers and watched as she consumed him like her favorite snack.

"Damn." He moaned, thrusting his hips in a slow rhythm. "That's it."

Feeling his balls tighten and his dick throb, he pulled back and turned her toward the wall, surging inside her. Rocking inside her furiously, stroking her inner flesh with a hard friction they both needed. Her pussy tightened, rippling and milking him. His release was close and he knew he needed to pull out and give her the fantasy she desired. His dick jerked and he pulled out, groaning, as his seed spread across her lower backside.

"Bend over, beautiful." He said, watching his cum slide down in between the crack of her ass.

Picking up his boxers, he wiped the remainder of his seed from her back. "Is that what you wanted?" He asked.

"Yessss. Olivia crooned, falling into his arms.

He scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the bedroom.

Fitz lazily stroked his fingers up and down Olivia's arm. "This is my favorite thing to do."

"What?" Olivia asked, nuzzling into his chest.

"Laying with you." He answered.

"Why?" Olivia asked.

"I feel content. I'm focused on you and nothing else."

"I love you, Fitz." Olivia said, running her fingers through his thick curls. "I hate that you're stressed."

"It's part of being the boss. Things will get better." He said, nipping at her bottom lip.

"Promise me, no matter what happens with Marcus and Makayla, we won't let it affect us."

"Promise." He said, bringing his lips to hers, slowly kissing her.
