I can't tell you the amount of time I've gone to reread something that I have wrote but couldn't even understand what I was trying to say.

Be my baby chapter 6. Baby, I Call Hell By Deap Vally.

Leah sat in a chair looking out the window of the three story hotel she was staying at with her baby daddy. the couple had arrived in Dublin Ireland two nights before and were still getting settled in. the tracker wanted to book them in to one room together but Leah insisted they have separate rooms. He argued with her on it but eventually gave in to the she wolf. He wanted to be close to her just in case something were to happen, so he compromised. He got a joining room so she would still have her pricey and he was close to her to ease his mind.

Leah was reading a book while enjoying the rain splashing out side her window. Runaway, runaway was the book she was currently reading. 'it's s good book… depressing but good and true. It's written by Skye Sinclair and it's about how she grew up in an abusive home and ran off. It follows her life and in the end she makes something of herself. I haven't been able to put it down'.

There was a knock at the adjoining door that went in to Demetri's room. When they first got to the hotel a few days before he had just habit of just walking in….. until the she wolf snapped at him. and told him to bloody well knock or else she'd kick him in his Italian balls.

Knock, knock, knock.

"come in". she called. Not looking up from her book. She'd just gotten to the bit where Skye is living with the gypsies on the run.

He opened the door and stuck his head through, he smirked and lifted up some bananas. "I thought you'd be hungry". He walked in to her room. Demetri had been trying to come up with excuses to be near her.

And she knew.

And she didn't mind.

Leah didn't bother telling him to fuck off because as much as she didn't like the posh vampire she needed him around to feel less like shit all day long. She put her book down and reach for them as he came closer. He passed them to her but the moment she caught his scent she tossed the bananas next to her on her seat and grabbed him by the collar. Leah dragged him down next to her and buried her face in his chest. He'd gotten used to her doing that, in fact, he likes it. he got joy out of teasing her about her needing to be close to him. he liked being able to get on her nerves as much as he had been able to do.

"I hate that you smell so good". She said with her head still in his chest.

"I love that".

"Yeah I bet you love my pain do you not?".

"don't be so dramatic amore". He began to stroke her black hair which she didn't appreciate but wasn't willing to let go of him for it. "I want to take you out today…. When the rain stops". The tracker calmly said.

Her eyes opened. "why?". she asked with suspicion.

"can't I take the mother of my child out for a nice outing?".

"what are you planning?". She snapped pulling away. Leah straightened up and glared at him while also instantly regretting losing his touch and scent. She immediately felt sick being without his scent so close to her nose. Though they were only inches away from one another Leah needed more but wasn't willing to let him see it.

"nothing but a nice pick nick".

"a pick nick….?". she frowned at him not expecting him to say that. "you…. wanna take me on a pick nick… a pick nick?". Leah still felt unsure whether or not to believe him because it was just so strange. The she wolf didn't know what to say to that.

"yes a pick nick… at phoenix park. It's just two miles from downtown Dublin". Demetri smirked at her like he had won something. "I was thinking we'd go once the rain stops. There'd be fewer people about then". he jumped up from the little seat by the window. Which to Leah meant that now he was even further away from her…. and when I say her…. I mean her nose.

"Demetri..".

"yes I know it's been raining and it would still be wet but….. it isn't like either of us needs to worry about feeling cold".

"says you..". she stood up and crossed her arms.

"what are you talking about donna?. Wolfs don't get cold".

"don't tell me what wolves can and cannot do, I would know what we can and cannot do I am one so shut up. And dah we don't get cold but ever since you knocked me up with your half parasite kid I've had cold flushes".

"then why didn't you tell me?". it was now his turn to cross his arms.

"because I don't need to tell you everything". The she wolf said through her teeth.

"yes you do if it has anything to do with your health". He eyed her but then disappeared. Leah looked around stunned at how fast this particular vampire was. Seconds later he was behind her with a warm jacket. He throw it over her shoulder then with in the blink of an eye and back was he was before. Right in front of her eyes,

"nice party trick". She spat.

"Why thank you piccione". He said inspecting his finger nails. After a few seconds, he looked back up at her. "I know that you dislike me..".

"understatement of the year". She muttered.

"but….. I'm am still the father of that child…. Of our child. And I am going to be here and in its life. And being in its life means that I must see to its health and safety along with yours". He gazed pointedly at her. "so….. I will ask you…. next time you feel anything…. Anything. No matter how big or small… to do with your pregnancy… tell me…".

"why do you care so much". she cut him off. Leah wasn't asking to be snarky… she generally wanted to know why he wanted to protect her so badly.

"is it my family…. Or what I am that makes you disbelieve me so much?". he asked the she wolf taking an step ford. Leah wasn't sure how to answer him. she had been told by the Jacob who had been told by Bella what Demetri's family were like.

'How they all killed together in their throne room. How one of them known as the fisher… would send out emails to people around the globe telling them that they've won some prize trip to Italy all expends paid. Then the moment… these poor people who thought that they were going to be having a once in an life time vacation to Italy with their family ended up dying horrific deaths. And all because these bloodsucking parasites had to feed. And then you have Demetri…. I don't like him…. I don't absolute one hundred percent hate his dead guts….. but that's only because he was the one who gave me the chance to have my baby who…. I was told would never ever exist. But…. None of that stops him from being one of them…. a vampire. He still kills without mercy or regret. And is as dead on the inside as he is on the outside….. and that can't be changed.

Leah hadn't realized she had zoned out.

"you don't have to tell me".

His voice snapped her out of her thoughts. Leah glanced back up at him.

"in fact don't tell me".

'where's he going with this?'.

"I don't want to know. because one way or the other…. It doesn't change anything…. Does it". he said as if he were Edward reading her mind.

There was a bit of a stillness.

"damn right". She glared at him. "damn right it wouldn't ever change anything…. Leech".

"have it your way then". the tracker turned and slowly walked towards the door. he stopped to admire and little dancer ornament on the hallstand, before turning to face her again. "scratch what I said about the pick nick today. your not going anywhere until it's born. Can't have you getting sick while with child now can I?".

"Demetri you can't just lock me up all the damn…..".

"actually lupo… I can". He smirked a little smug smirk.

'who the hell does he think he is?'. "and what makes you think I'm just gonna sit back and let you make all the decisions?. What makes you think I'm gonna make you imprisoning be easy for you". it was the she wolfs turn to smirk.

"oh…. Nothing, nothing at all. I am all to aware of how stubborn and hard headed you are. I have no illusions that you won't make me trying to look after you easily at all. But that isn't going to stop me. you can scream and shout and kick and punch but at the end of it all, at the very least I will keep you…. ". His now purple eyes from the contacts flickered down to her stomach. "…you both safe".

"and when it's born?... then what?".

"then we raise it". he lightly shrugged, not showing much emotion at all.

She snorted. "so we're just gonna be on the run for the rest of our lives are we?... and with a baby". Leah rubbed at her tummy and sat down now on the bed. With one hand on her stomach, she smoothed her other free hand over the silky quilting of the bedspread. Letting the feeling comfort her. this bed was a lot softer than the one she slept on back at La Push. Though she loved and missed her bed back at her now old home she couldn't help but enjoy the feeling of expensive posh bedding.

After a few minutes Demetri slowly walked over and sat down next to her. as much as he wanted to reach over and touch her flat stomach, to feel the little life inside of her that he help create, but the vampire didn't want her becoming agitated with him. normally the formal vampire wouldn't care if the she wolf hated or not. But he couldn't risk stressing her our anymore then she was already was right now. he also only wanted to see that he really did want to be in this child's life, and all this wasn't just some ploy to snatch her and the baby for Aro.

He waned that trust with her.

'we'll be in each other's life's forever now'. His eyes went back down to where her hand lay across her belly. 'she may not like it but that's how it has to be now. because I am a man of honor, I did this ti her, I'm bringing this thing…'. He shut his eyes and flinch for a second, feeling a surprising shot of guilt for calling his future son or daughter a thing. '…I'm bring this….baby in to the world so I have no choice to be here for it….. and her'. his eyes moved over Leah.

first looking at her hair.

Watching the way the light from the window hit it, it reminded him of the fur of a beautiful black panther. deadly, wild, and mysterious.

Then to her skin.

Lovely and smooth. The vampire wasn't sure if it was because of her pregnancy or not but she seemed to almost glow. It gave the room a warm feeling, When he really looked at her Demetri had a strong urge to run his cold hands over her to see if her skin would heat them up.

Then next her lips.

Her beautiful heart shaped lips that reminded him of old paintings of beautiful women. He remembers the feel of them that night they made their child. Firm and soft at the same time, he thought of the feeling of silk when his mind went back to them. he liked how when their lips meet she preferred to do most of the lip-locking. How she liked to be the one in control and he was more than happy to let her be.

Then lastly her eyes.

Her large brown eyes, when Demetri looked in to them he thought of chocolate chip cookies. He's never been able to eat one but had always wondered what one would taste like.

Without thinking the she wolf scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder, Inhaling his scent as deeply as she could.

"what did you want to have?". He asked softly.

"Huh?".

"the sex of our baby?. would you want a boy? or a girl?".

"I….. I really hadn't thought about it too much. I've been so focused on what everyone would think about us, I haven't thought about…". she looked down and rubbed circles about her belly. "him or her".

"now that you have a moment to wonder about what you think, what are you feeling on the baby?".

"I…. I don't know… what do you think? what do you want?".

"honestly?". He smirked down at her.

"yeah honestly?".

"it doesn't matter to me. a baby is just a baby".

"yeah but this won't just be any baby this will be your baby?. your know flesh and blood". There was the slightest hint of hostility in her voice as she spoke.

"I don't know about flesh and blood". The vampire snorted. "I didn't mean I wouldn't care about my kid". He said as gently as he could to the mother of his unborn child. "I should of picked my words better. What I mean to say was as long as it's in good health, I feel I would be at peace with whatever gender our baby was given".

Leah nodded against his shoulder. And after a few minutes of her thinking, she spoke. "I don't want a girl". Her voice was hard.

"why?". Demetri knitted his eyebrows together in confusion. in wonder of why she wouldn't want to have a daughter of her own.

"because the world is a unfair place".

"it's unfair to everyone".

"but even more so for a woman". She lifted her head to look at him. "what the most unfair, worst thing to ever happen to you in your long ass life?".

"I don't know".

"ohh come on…. how old are you?. eight hundred? nine hundred? one thousand and three days?".

"I'm over two thousand years old". He said in a matter o fact way.

She sucked in a deep breath. "of course you are". she ran her fingers through her short dark hair. "that's a lot of years". She said to herself under her breath. "so…. in this two thousand years nothing bad has ever happened to you?".

"I remember getting tuned…. That wasn't very pleasant and I can't recall any of my human life".

"fine then as a vampire and apart from being turned has anything….. anything at all. went back for you… that you can remember?".

He exhaled. "no…. since my rebirth as a as you and your people would say, cold one. nothing of terrible significance has accrued in my after life since".

"so what living with the volturi is like what?... like living in Neverland?... or Narnia. Just party, party, party all the time?, everything's easy just twenty four seven hours a day for your bunch of fancy pancey bitches?".

"well….". he tilted his head to the side like he was thinking. "jane doesn't make it easy. You see….". he crossed his legs on the bed and now was facing her way. "she's been able tricked are world…. Including master Aro, in to believing that her power is pain, while this isn't really the truth".

Leah frowned at him.

"in actuality..". he lent in a bit closer to her. "her gift is far more painful than only the illusion she puts out".

The she wolf eyes widened.

"she is….. horrifically….. appallingly….. dreadfully….. annoying".

"ohh for god sake". Leah rolled her eyes.

The tracker smirked, knowing he had gotten her. Demetri could see it, the ghost of a smile appearing just on the edge of her mouth. Even though she was doing her best to hide it from him.

"I thought… you made it sound like she could make people burst in to flames just by winking or something". She pounced his arm. "wow". She shook her hand, expecting her now sore red knuckles. While Demetri remained unbothered.

"you think if she could Aro wouldn't make sure our world knew that?". he raised an eyebrow at her. "Jane's not the only one. Caius…. Well, we just get out of his way when he's on the warpath,….. which is all the time. and Marcus….. well no ones knows it…. and I have no proof…. But I wholeheartedly believe he may be the most judgemental person on the planet". Of course, that last one wasn't true. Demetri thought Marcus was a hoot and a half.

Leah continued to rub her hand. "I think I sprained something".

"here". he grabbed her hand and held her red fingers. Letting his ice cold hand cool her one down.

"you don't have to do that ya know. it's not bad it will be fine in two minutes".

"then it will now be fine sooner".

"you know you're very sure of yourself?".

"People act like that when they know they're always right".

She huffed.

"so….. why don't you want us to have a little girl again?".

"because nothing good has ever happened to me after becoming a wolf…. And nothing good seems to happen to female vampire either".

"I'm sure that's not sure".

"women leeches can't have kids. They can't go out in to the sun without fearing you lot coming for them…".

"that's all vampires, not just the female ones". Demetri pointed out.

"Since becoming a wolf I lost my friends, my future, my cousin, my boyfriend,….. my father…". Without meaning to her voice cracked.

"Leah….?".

"it's nothing just the hormones". She said whipping tears from her eyes. "ohh shit. I thought I was getting better at handling this". She said. "I could go almost a week without crying". She continued to try and clean her face as best she could. "look all I'm saying is in this world it's easier to be a man. And if our baby is gonna have any kind of a life, being a man seems like the only way it'll survive".

He sat there and watch her for a long moment before moving a little closer and pulling her in to his arms.

"no… I don't want…". She tried to say as she pushed away from him, but the tracker ignored her. pulling her in to him more, letting her head rest on his chest.

Letting his scent calm her until she was comfortable enough to just stay that way.

La Push: The Black House.

"FUCCKKK". Jacob screamed as he threw a chair from one side of the room to the other.

Ring, ring, ring.

The Alfa angrily plucked his phone from his pocket and held it to his ear. "WHAT?". He yelled to who ever was on the other side, not bothering to check the caller ID. Only minutes before Seth reluctantly had called up his Alfa and told him the news about his beta leaving out of the blue.

Jacob had not taken the news well at all.

"Jacob what's going on?". Bella's voice rang out from the other side of the phone. "Alice just call and said she had a vision of Sue. She was at Charlie's place, they were sitting at the kitchen table and she was crying. What's happened?".

"Lee's gone". He breathed in deeply trying to control his temper.

"what do you mean gone?".

"I don't know what happened, Seth called me. said that he got home and found a note. Then he tried calling her but she wouldn't pick up. eventually, when she did she told him that it was best for her health that she went away".

"did she say anything else?. Did she at least tell you where she went?".

Jacob heard something on the other end of the phone, but suddenly there was a new voice on the mix.

"Jacob what does the note say?". Edward asked sounding just as concerned as his wife.

"I haven't read it yet. I only know what Seth has told me".

"Okay, call Seth to tell him to get the note and bring it to Carlisle's house. We'll meet you there and we'll sort something out".

"I just don't understand why she would have left us like this. She was so sick, she could hardly stand up on her own. None of this makes sense".

"as I said, meet us at Carlisle's. we'll find her".

At the Cullen's house. Half an hour later.

The doctor stood by his fair place reading the note Leah had left her mother and brother. Seth was pacing the Cullen's living room, Jacob doing something of the same thing. But he wasn't walking across the living room and back. he was just taking a couple of steps then turning back each time, with his strong arms crossed. The others Cullen's were spread out throughout the room. Esme over by Carlisle, Alice, and Jasper tending by the book shelf, both with deep frowns on their perfect pale faces. Rosalie and Emmet on the couch, while Bella and Edward set on the one across from them. Nessie was fast asleep in Esme's rooms.

"and she didn't say anything?... nothing at all?".

"Carlisle it's like I said….. I got home and she was gone". Seth rubbed at his arms as if he were cold.

"How was she acting?". The doctor asked.

"well like you saw". This time it was Jacob who answered him. "she'd been sick, she couldn't even phases in to her wolf form. It was getting harder for her to stand. She'd have moments where she thought she was gonna be fine but just go down".

"could she be…..". Alice stopped herself for a moment. Not sure how to say what she was trying to say. "do you think that her time of being a wolf is coming to an end?".

"could explain as to why miss Clearwater is having some trouble transforming?". Jasper agreed with his wife.

"I don't know, I really, really don't know, if I did know I'd tell her so she didn't have to freak out and leave me. but I don't know, so now she's gone. All cos I didn't know how to help her". Seth said getting more and more worked up.

"Seth come sit down and try to cool off. I'm sure Carlisle and Esme don't want to buy themselves some new furniture".

"come on Seth. I'll make you a nice hot drink, you to Jacob". Esme suddenly disappeared from the family room.

The Alfa pulled the younger wolf to him and sat him down on the sofa. "it'll be fine". He whispered to his beta's brother.

"it could be a possibility". Carlisle nodded. 'if only I got a better look at her. if only I didn't leave too soon. I might have been able to help them if I just tried that little bit harder. If I'd done a better job she may still be here.

"don't beat yourself up Carlisle, no one knew what she was gonna do?". Edward told his father. Reading his mind.

"We need to find out where she is". Jacob said to te room. "she's out there somewhere and she's sick".

"not to mention the Volturi". Rosalie lent ford, saying the one thing no one in the room wanted to say.

"Edward…. You said Aro got a pretty good look in to your mind?".

"yeah Carlisle".

"And you said he had a deep interest in Leah?".

The room went cold.

"you guys don't think he has her do you?". Seth did his very best not to choke.

"I don't know about that. I didn't see any plans in his mind to approach her". the mind reader shook his head.

"but that doesn't mean he didn't?". Emmet put in.

"maybe they offered her something?". Rosalia snarked.

"rose…".

"no really Carlisle, the mutt does hate us…. Bella especially. Is it really out of the realm of possibilities that she's gone off back to Italy with them?".

"my sister ain't no turncoat!". Seth stood up angrily but Jake pushed him back down.

"don't you ever…. Ever…. Talk that way about my beta again". the Alfa said slowly.

"I'm sorry boys". The doctor gave a side glance towards his daughter. "she didn't mean anything by it".

"It sure sounded like she did".

"ignore her I do". Edward rolled his golden eyes at the beautiful blond.

"look… whether or not she went with them if she's as sick as you guys are saying we should find her and fast". The seer spoke.

Just as Esme was coming back in to the room. She placed both cups of coffee on the little table in front of them and stood back next to her husband.

"Alice is right. does Sam know that Leah went yet?".

"no…. only you guys and Sue. Not even Embry and Quil no".

"then why don't you go tell them and Sam and his pack". Carlisle pushed himself off of the fireplace.

"and the elders….. they'll have to know". Seth said quickly.

Jacob nodded.

"once everybody knows we'll meet back here and make a plan. in the mean time Myself, Emmet, Jasper, Alice we'll go all throughout the woodland trying to pick up a scent. Bella, Edward, and Rose will go in to town and see if they can find anything. If anyone saw her Edward will be able to pick up on it. Esme will stay here with Nessie".

"we'll all meet back in a couple of hours". Jacob nodded. Agreeing with the doctor's plan.

"can I bring my mum?... she's gonna wanna know what's gonna happen. She was really upset when I told her".

"yes Seth it's fine, it's best she knows".

"Okay come on Seth let's go". Jacob grabbed the younger wolf and they both ran out from the big house. Were they both immediately turned and bolted in to the woods.

Hi all, so sorry I know it's been months and months. Months ago and had gotten half way through this chapter then my computer freaking deleted it. it was actually a lot different than the one all you got because I could fully remember it. in the other one their actually in cork and when they get to the hotel they have a talk with the lady at the front desk and she was a lovely older woman.

But anyway.

What's done is done. Like I said I couldn't get it just how I wanted it before so I went with something different.

Anyway, after that chapter was deleted I was never in the mood to write more, just cos of how much I did on the deleted one.

but I'm back now.

I'm going to try and get to my others stories soon.
