"ouch". Leah grabbed at her stomach as the baby kicked her harder than usual.
"Are you alright". Demetri peered over to her. His red eyes watched her from over the top of his book.
"yeah". She gritted out. "it's like this thing has six legs". she moved to her side trying to become more comfortable on the bed.
"maybe we made a spider".
"weak joke".
The tracker snorted.
The she wolf pointed at him "you". she said with authority. "over here now".
"why?, what do you need?. Are you hurt?".
"no, I just need you to hold my stomach for a bit. It seems to only calm down when you near us". she glared at him like it was his fault.
He smirked at her and made his way over to the bed. The tracker placed himself behind her on the king-sized bed and rested his hand on the lower part of her belly. After a few hard kicks and Leah wincing from the pain. The little tiny feet inside of her eventually settled down.
"Oh screw you". she spat.
He laughed at her outburst. "don't worry". He scratched his chin with his free hand. "it will still love you when it comes out".
"bullshit".
"it can sense your mood, that's why it prefers me". he grinned.
"hey I'm not the one making this thing angry, it's the one making me angry. I swear it's gonna come out with an ax and white ski mask".
"God help us all".
"if you were Infront of me I'd kick you in the shins". She reached back and slapped her arm.
"if this kid turns out violent, we'll both know where it got it from".
"okay we need to settle on a name for it. what was it we came up with before?". the she wolf squinted trying to remember the names the pair had come up with over a month ago. She'd been having a head time trying to remember things of late. She and Demetri just assumed it was only her pregnancy brain getting worked up.
"it was Atticus and Adaline….. if a girl". He added.
"Okay then, then from now on until it's born and we find out the sex then we'll just have to call it Addy".
"Addy?... your joking right?". he raised his eyebrows.
"Yeah, what's wrong with Addy".
"It sounds like a girl's name".
"so?". she frowned at him. "it isn't like it's permanent or anything".
He shrugged. "still bothers me".
"Jesus Christ, you pick something then if you don't like it so much".
"Gee you really mean it?". he said sarcastically.
"if you'll quit acting like such a baby then yes". she rolled her eyes and she rubbed her big stomach.
He quieted down for a moment as he thought about it. "are we sticking with A?".
"if you want, I don't care as long as I don't have to keep calling it, It".
"Little Awesome". He finally said.
She let out a bark of laughter. "Little Awesome. That's what you wanna go with for the nickname of our child".
"I believe it sums up our child perfectly. It's part you, part me….. it's a Little Awesome".
The she wolf laughed again. "fine you win". She looked down at her tummy and give it a pat. "looks like from now on you gonna be called Little Awesome". She shook her head at the ridiculous situation.
After that, they settled in to a comfortable silence. Both laying on the bed watching whatever was on Tv at the time.
'This is nice". Leah thought. She felt like the only time she felt safe was in his arms. She absolutely hated to admit how good she felt with him but she couldn't help it. 'maybe it's just because I'm with a child. His child. Once the baby is born I'm sure the feeling will go away. She told herself.
'or your starting to have feelings for him but are too chicken shit to admit it.
Leah froze completely for a split second. 'now what are you doing back here inner monologue?. I hadn't heard from you in over and month, I thought you were gone for good?. I was actually started to feel happy '.
"Ohh hon, you can't hurt me you dumb bitch I'm you'.
'so why are you here then?'.
'because you only bring me out when you are in a dilemma and can't decide what you want to do'.
'that isn't true. She augured with herself.
"Ohh yes it is. Her inner monologue augured back. 'when you first found out you were with the child you didn't know whether to tell him or not. Then there I was, right there front and center. Ready to help'.
'well go help someone else because I'm fine.
'are you?'.
'yes, I know what I'm doing with Demetri'.
'do not.

'then why am I here then?'.
'to annoy me, why else?'.
'because you want me here, I'm in your stupid head remember. do ya wanna know the reason I'm here?'.
'not really. She shut her eyes tightly. 'I feel a headache coming on.
'no, that's just me'.
'Oh shut up. the she wolf rolled her eyes again. Demetri noticed but just assumed she was rolling her eyes at the characters on the show they were watching.
"I'm here because you are confused about your feeling for Demetri'.
Leah could hear the smugness in her inner monologues voice. 'no, you're wrong. I'm not confused about shit'.
'aren't you though?'.
'there's nothing to be confused about, yeah we're having a baby that's all. there are no romantic feelings there, done at all. and that's all she wrote.
'that is not all she wrote. Your starting to have feelings for him, but don't want to admit it because then that would mean that you're turning your back on everything you believe in.
'what if I was?'.
'but you're not.
'well, it sure as shit feels like I am.
'listen to me….. do you hate vampires?'.
'of course, I do'. she answered.
'all vampires?'.
'Yeah, why wouldn't I?'.
'but you don't mind the Cullen's?'.
'well….. saying I don't mind them is a bit much.
'but you're okay with say…. Carlisle and Esme?'.
'Umm', she wasn't sure how to answer that.
'well, are you?'.
'YES..'. she shouted in her mind. 'yeah I'm fine with both Carlisle and Esme. The rest of the Cullen's I don't particularly care for. there's one in particular I could do without'. She said thinking of Bella.
'yeah, I could do without her too. But anyway what I'm saying is you still hate vampires…. But you like some'.
'your point?'.
'My point is that you still hate vampires. That hasn't changed has it? what my point is, is that there's nothing wrong with wanting to be happy. Even if it's with a leech. As long as he treats you and the baby right what's the big deal?'.
'he eats people'.
'news flash, so will your baby'.
'what isn't tru….'
Her inner monologue didn't let her finish. 'it's in Little Awesome's nature to do so. it's in its father's nature to do so'.
'it could eat…'.
'yes, it could eat animals but that doesn't mean it will. And what would you do if our child did kill people?. Would you kill him or her herself?. Or would you get one of your packmates to do it for you?. would you make Seth murder his own blood?... or Jacob?'.
"stop it".
'I'm not saying it's set in stone. All I'm asking is would you accept you child, your flesh and blood?'.
"well….. yes. I wouldn't be proud of it but nothing would stop me from loving my baby'.
'then what's so wrong with loving the vampire holding your stomach right now?'.
'I was put on this earth to protect humans'.
'and who says you have to stop?'.
'I don't want to talk about this anymore.
'because it's getting too real for you?'.
'because I don't want to have feelings for a monster'. She admitted.
"there's nothing wrong with putting yourself first for once.
Leah bit the inside of her cheek.
"think about everything you've been through. if you wanted to feel happy and safe for once in your life I don't think anyone could blame to too harshly'.
'what would Jacob say though?. The Volturi wanted to Kill Ness…. His imprint. I just don't think he'd ever accepted my baby or my feeling for Demetri'.
'so you do have feelings for him. she could hear the smirk in her inner monologues voice.
'Ohh just shut up.
It chuckled. 'my work here is done.
'What?, what do you mean my work is done?. What do you think they've done?'.
"I've brought all your feeling up to the surface. I've made you realize how you feel. Now what are you gonna do about it?".
"but…".
"no, shut up. like I said, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be happy.
'but my friends?'.
'will either have to support you or hit the road Jack. If we all could control how we feel, we'd all be a lot happier.
'there's be a lot less crying people in the world'. Leah mumbled in her mind.. 'I don't want to hurt my friends'.
'and I don't want you to be hurt'.
"are you hungry?". Demetri's voice suddenly broke through the conversation she was having with herself.
"Uh, what?".
"I said are you hungry?. You keep fidgeting with things, you don't that when you want food".
This made The she wolf look down at her hands, noticing she had picked at and undone a few threads of the wall in her hand from the knitted jumper she had been a warning. 'I'd… I'd never noticed before". she really hadn't.
"can I get you a snack if you'd like". The tracker moved to leave the bed when she grabbed at his arm.
"no…. don't go. Stay with me". she said looking in to his red eyes. "just…. stay". She pulled him back down to her. resting one of his hands on her stomach and lacing her fingers with the other one. she went back to facing the Tv while he stared at her. wondering where this new wave of affection from her had come from.
After a moment he shrugged and settled back behind her. not wanting to ruin the nice moment the pair were having.
Felix in Italy.
"Why are you bugging me?".
"because I want to know!".
Felix shook his head as he walked faster and faster down the hallways of the Volturi castle. Heidi had been following him around for the better part of thirty minutes. And before her, it had been Jane and Alec…. Mainly Jane. Alec more slowly move along behind the pair as Jane threatened to use her pain power on the giant of the man. Ever since the tracker had up and left everybody had been on Felix's ass trying to get all the details they could.
When is he coming back, Felix?.
Why did he leave Felix?.
I know you know something Felix?.
Did he tell you anything, Felix?.
Is there someone else Felix?.
Has he left us for good Felix?.
Why don't you know anything Felix? he's meant to be your best friend right?.
'right'. the burly vampire said to himself frowning.
"I could always go to Master Aro you know". she spat angrily.
"good, go to Master Aro then. He could validate everything I've been telling you pack of vultures for the past month". He rolled his red eyes.
"I can't believe that". Heidi hissed.
"believe it, Heidi". He growled.
"What reason did he have to just leave us".
"you mean you". he corrected her with a smirk.
For the past few hundreds of years, the tracker and the undead beauty had, had an on and off again fling. It was nothing too serious because the pair continued to sleep around with other people. But every twenty years or so the pair would come back together for a couple of months then it worlds frizzle soon after.
"don't you miss him too?". she said in a smug accusatory tone.
"of course I miss him, I didn't realize how much I missed the fucker until everybody started annoying me and following me around. honestly how did he put up with you all?".
"was the acting strange before he left?".
"I don't….".
"what about on the plan back of Forks?. Do you think something happened then?".
"not that I could think of". 'last I remember Demetri was as cooky as usual, maybe even more. he thought. But as he set his mind back to over six weeks ago he slowed in his pace. 'wait… why was he so cooky?. And where's he'd go?. The rest of us were back within a couple of hours of Master Aro telling us to go feed. But Dem didn't come back until the next morning. I didn't think too much of that at the time. I hadn't thought he had acted any differently bit then again…'. he was knocked out of his thoughts when he felt a fist smack in to the side of his arm.
"you are useless". She screeched one last time before running down the hallway and out of sight.
"jokes on you, I've been saying that all alone!". He yelled out after her. once he knew Heidi was out of earshot he bolted to his chambers and pulled out his phone.
He held it up to his ear and waited impatiently for Demetri to answer his phone.
"hello". He finally picked up.
"What happened to you in forks?". He hissed, paranoid that someone at any point could walk past his chambers and hear this conversation.
Silence on the other end of the phone.
"I know you're there you may as well answer me. and don't even think about pulling the old 'going through a tunnel' trick. I trough your short ass that remember?".
"I'm not short". the tracker argued.
"bitch, everybody is short next to me".
"Still doesn't mean I'm short". Demetri grumbled on the other end of the phone.
"Demetri". Felix said in a harsher tone. "what happened to you in Forks?".
"nothing brother….".
The burly vampire didn't let him finish. "why are you lying to me?".
"I'm…I'm not".
"lying little shit".
"I'm being truthful, I'm hurt that you'd believe I'd lie to you".
"Ohh shut up, you are too hurt, and you lie to me all the time".
Demetri couldn't help but chuckle. "when?".
"did you not hear me say all the time?".
"what made you think something happened to me in Forks?". The tracker changed the subject. He needed to know why Felix was asking questions now.
Felix could hear the tone change in the tracker's voice. "it doesn't matter..". he didn't want to let on that Heidi was the one who brought him to the conclusion that something must have happened after meeting with the Cullen's, the other covens, and the wolves. Felix didn't want to give it away that he actually didn't know if anything happened at all. but by the way, his friend was acting he knew he was on the right track. 'okay…. let's see what I could get out of him. let's all see what's he hiding.
This time it was the tracker who wouldn't let the big vampire finish. "yes it does".
"and why is that?". Felix shot back.
"because I want to know who's asking questions".
"in case you haven't noticed, that's all of us".
The tracker scoffed.
"why do you want to know who's asking questions?".
"so I could set the record sight".
"and that record is?".
"The record is everything is fine".
"that isn't a record. You haven't set anything sight". Felix argued.
"everyone will find out in time".
Felix rolled his eyes and groaned. "you know what".
"what?".
"that's fine, don't tell me . because I know everything I need to know".
There was another long pause.
"what nothing to say to that?".
"you don't know anything do you".
This time it was silence on Italy's end.
"I know enough". He finally said.
"Whatever you say, Felix". Demetri signed.
"well….. maybe Carlisle could give me the information I need then?".
"what was that buddy?". Demetri tried his best to keep the panic out of his voice.
"you heard me. if you don't tell me what's wrong. I'll go all the way to America and get my answers there. And you know I'll do it too".
"Felix". Demetri hissed in a warning tone.
"running out of options are we?".
There was a small pause before the tracker spoke again. "god you are a dick".
"I know".
"fine".
"Really?". Felix truly hadn't thought the tracker would fall for it. of course, unless Aro had ordered him to he wouldn't really go all the way to America. Especially not to forks. It wouldn't be safe there for any of the Volturi right now. not with all those wolves rolling around. the Cullen's may think twice before killing a member of the Volturi but the werewolves would just kill on sight.
"no".
"what?".
"no, I mean…. shit, are you alone?".
Though he didn't need to, Felix looked around. "yeah".
"okay..". Demetri a shacky unneeded breath. "I'm not saying who, because of the danger involved..".
"Demetri… what did you do?".
"it'ssss…. More like who".
"Hmm?"
"How often does Aro ask for your hand?".
"not often, he knows I wouldn't lie to him. he also knows that you hadn't told me anything before you left. So as Heidi said, I'm kind of useless". He shrugged to himself.
"When did Heidi say that?".
"I don't know….. seven minutes ago".
"How often have you left the castle since I left?".
"Only once, we had a mission in France. Demetri why is all this important?". Felix said frustrated.
"because I can't hide what I'm hiding for long, and I don't want it coming out before it's time".
"well, how much longer before it comes out then?".
"I don't know I've never been through this before!".
"been through what?, you haven't told me anything yet".
"I'M GOING TO BE A FATHER".
Clunk.
The burly vampire's phone hit the floor, making a loud clunking noise, which the tracker had to pull the phone away from his ear for. Demetri looked back over his shoulder to see that Leah was still passed out on the bed. She had fallen asleep still holding on to his hand after she had laced them together. He waited for another second, making sure his yelling hadn't awoken her. then turned back to his phone call.
"Felix… Felix… FELIX". he called, wanting his friend to pick up the phone.
"Mmm". That was all the big vampire gave him.
"Felix… are you okay?". the tracker asked slowly.
"MmmHmm".
"how do you feel about what I just told you?".
"MmmHmm, MmmHmm".
"Okay, buddy I'm going to need actual words from you".
"Mmm kay".
"well, it's a start". Demetri signed. "is there a chair near you? if so sit down".
The burly vampire did what he was told, still not saying a word.
"are you sitting down?".
Felix nodded.
"did you nod?, I can't see you, it's a phone call".
"MmmHmm".
"Felix….". he said carefully. "did you wanna talk about what you just heard?".
He coughed a few times then began to talk. "umm…. Yeah".
"did you want me to start".
"umm… yeah".
"okay". he took a deep breath. "when Master Aro told us to all go feed I didn't. I met up with a woman instead. had sex for hours with her and got her pregnant". 'better to just bite the bullet'. Demetri thought.
He could hear Felix suck in a deep breath of air.
"two weeks after we came home she called me. she told me about the baby and said I didn't have to be involved if I didn't want to be. But I couldn't do that it's my child".
"your child….. yep… your child".
'Hey, I least I got him talking'. The tracker thought. "you see now why I had to leave. I believe Master Aro will understand once you all have the full story. But for now it has to be kept a secret, for the safety of my child and my child's mother".
Five minutes passed.
Five whole minutes before Felix felt like he could talk again.
"who….. who is she... the Umm….. mother?".
"it's like I said brother, once you hear the whole story you'll understand why I've had to keep them safe".
"Oh… okay". he spoke in a dazed voice.
"would you like to ask any more questions?".
"do the….. do the Cullen's know….?".
"no, and we're not telling them. so if any of them come to Italy not tell them shit. And if Edwards with them, get out of the room". The tracker said firmly.
"why would any of them come to Italy?".
Demetri froze, understanding his mistake. "no reason". He quickly said.
Felix gasped as if he'd just been watching a Tv drama, and a big reveal had just happened. "are they…. Connected to the Cullen's?". He said as if it were tea.
"something like that". Demetri groaned. 'that egg head better not figure this out. How could he?'.
"Ohh Demetri you… you didn't?".
The tracker flinched. 'okay, maybe I was wrong, maybe he did figure it out. "welll".
"Demetri Volturi, you sick, sick, sickening, Sicko".
"well that's a bit much, don't you think?".
"she's a child you disgusting fuck. I truly, truly thought I'd never sink so low…".
"whoa, whoa Eh Oh". The tracker silenced him. "she's not a child….. and considering our age, all humans are children to us. so…. does it matter". 'why would he think Leah is a child'.
"you sicken me….. the littlest Cullen. Did you do this for Master Aro because if you did…".
A horrified Demetri almost fell out of his chair. "WHAT!". He looked back over his shoulder to make sure he hadn't woken up the she wolf. She steered in her sleep a little bit but didn't wake up. "I didn't do anything to the littlest Cullen. "I'm not a pedophile, Felix how could you think that about me?". he asked absolutely horrified.
Felix almost nearly bowled over in relief. "OH THANK GOD". He practically yelled out. "don't you ever, ever do that to me again. the next time you time me you got a girl pregnant you start off by telling me she's not a child".
"why would I have to clarify to you that she wouldn't be a child?. we've known each other for over two thousand years. Shouldn't you just know that I'm not a pedophile by now".
"well the mini Cullen is the only one I could think of who may be able to get pregnant. Could you blame me for freaking out a little".
"yes, actually I could".
After a few minutes of awkward silence, Demetri decided to break the ice. "Well….. can't say I'm too upset about leaning your stance on pedophiles. Makes me feel safer leaving you alone with my kid". He tried to laugh but stopped once he realized Felix wasn't laughing along with him.
The burly vampire was deep in thought. Trying to proses everything he had just been told.
"brother please say something". The tracker asked.
"I don't know what to say….. I'm happy for you".
"do you mean that?". Demetri asked skeptically with a frown.
After a hot second Felix continued. "no really….. it might be nice to have a teeny tiny Demetri running around".
The tracked smiled. "thank you brother". 'well he's taken it better than I thought he would have.
"Look I have to go Heidi will be back with the lunch soon". It was half the truth. The big man just felt awkward and wanted to leave the phone call. He just wanted some time to go through in his head what he had just found out.
"yeah I get it…. but listen. no one can know yet okay. for the safely of my family". He hadn't meant to say it, it had just slipped out.
"Hey it's okay I understand. I'll do my best to avoid Master Aro as much as I can".
"you don't know how much this means to me". once again Demetri looked back over his shoulder to look at the she wolf. 'to both of us'. He thought.
They said their goodbyes and once Felix had hung his phone up, he looked up at his bedroom ceiling and signed.
"holy chap".
Seth and Sue.
The mother and son were setting in their air plan seats. Embry and Quil were in the seats behind them quietly talking to each other. Sue was sadly looking out of her window, fiddling with the bookmark of her book.
"Seth".
She the older woman suddenly said. still gazing out of the window. "who do you think would have helped with? who do you think would have done this to us?". 'who was this person who convinced her to leave me?. if my child had just confided in me I could have helped her. I would have been there for her. I may not have always been able to be there for my baby…. but I would have been there this time. Sue's mind flashed back to when Sam imprinted on Emily, her niece. Of course, the older women knew all about the shape shifters and imprinting. But her daughter had not transformed and Sue and Harry didn't think she had the gene within her. how was Sue going to explain to Leah that her cousin was her boyfriend's soul mate? and that Sam and Emily would never be breaking up. that as much as they didn't want to hurt Leah the universe would never let them be a part ever again. that they were just meant to be. Sue's mind flashed to all the times she'd heard her child crying alone in her bedroom over the break-up. wondering how the two people she loved most in the world could have done this to her without a second thought. Wondering why the universe did this to her, and why did nobody seem to care. It broke Sue's heart to know she wasn't able to do anything to change what had happened. The older woman wanted so badly to hold her and tell her it was okay. to tell her that she and Sam just weren't meant to be and that she'd find happiness. But after Leah's pain began to grow and her temper became more and more heightened, Sue and Harry's patience's started to dwell. Her temper was getting harder and harder to handle, they were all at their breaking point. One day during a nasty fight, after Sue had gotten home from a long shift at the hospital. The older woman hadn't meant to say what she said, but she snapped. And in the middle of the fight, she said that Leah needed to get over it and to stop bringing her misery everywhere she went because it was getting old. Sue regrated it the moment it came out of her mouth. The pain across her daughter's face was like a knife to the heart. She never forgave herself fir losing her temper at her the way she had. She never thought Leah truly had forgiven her either. 'it was bad enough that after my daughter had changed all the boys would tell her that same thing. They'd make sure she knew she wasn't wanted or welcome in the pack. Sam would try to put a stop to it from time to time but it never did do any good. Even Seth, my little boy would take part in it, though Leah said it never hurt her, I could see it in her eyes that it did. Stupid teenage boys taking jabs at her my daughter could just shake off. but her own brother'. Sue shook her head at the memory. 'I fear I will never see her again.
"I don't know mum". The younger boy reached over and took his mother's hand. "Hey, we're going to find her. and even if we don't…".
Sue flinched at the thought.
"Lee said she wouldn't be gone forever. She told me she'd be back". Seth smiled at his mother. Hoping what he said would make her feel better.
"But hon". She sadly smiled back, grabbing both of his hands and squeezing. "she was so sick. She…. She could barely stand". A teardrop ran down her face. the smile on Seth's face slowly fell. "if she wants to be left alone for a while….. I can deal with that. but I have to see her, she's my baby. I have to see her with my own eyes one more time before I could let her go. I need to know… that she's well enough to be on her own. I couldn't live with myself if I just let her…. if I just let her….". Sue throw one of her hands over her mouth to stifle her sobs.
"Hey. Hey". Seth moved over closer to his mother and tightened the grip he had on her hand. "she isn't alone remember". His cheery smile returned. " I'm sure that whoever she is with is looking after her. come on mum, we both know Lee isn't stupid. She wouldn't just go off with some random person if she didn't think she could trust them". he squeezed her hand even tighter now. "come on mum it will be fine". The younger wolf scooted closer and throw his arm around her shoulder. Drawing her in to him so he could plant a reassuring kiss on Sue's forehead.
"I…I just feel so guilty all the time". she was able to choke out.
"you don't have to feel bad ma. Remember she was the one who left…".
His mother cut her off. "no sweet pea". She reached up and rub his cheek. "not about that…..well, maybe a little. but I feel like I could have stood up for her more. I feel like I should have spoken up more than the pack would comment about her. I feel like I should have talked to Sam and Emily about not coming around as much. I would have felt bad about excluding them for holidays and family events because I knew it hurt my Leah to see them. but I wasn't sure how to handle it all. then your father….. then your father..". she began to cry harder.
Seth pulled her closer in to his chest and began to stroke her hair. After a while, her crying started to die down. And once it did she looked back up at her son, who is returned, with the sleeve of his jumper. Whipped the tears from his mother's face.
"she doesn't blame you ya know. I can see inside her mind remember. mental supernatural werewolf or shapeshifter link". He tapped the side of his head. "whichever one you wanna say, doesn't faze me". He chuckled. "werewolf or shifter….. it's pretty much the same thing". He shrugged, getting back on to the subject. "every time I'd see you in her mind, it was only ever happy memories. She doesn't think any less of you for not knowing how to handle her being a wolf. Leah didn't think she could handle to either. But look how strong she is".
The older woman let out a small laugh and shook her head. whipping a few more tears away and trying her best to fix up her face. gazing around to make sure no one had been looking their way, she began to tidy up her hair. She looked back up at her son. "she really doesn't blame me?".
Seth nodded at his mother.
"Hey, the movies starting". Quil voice could be heard from behind them.
"it's Cheaper By The Dozen". Embry spoke with a full mouth of M&M's.
"give'em here". Seth reached back and grabbed the bag of chocolate from his pack mate. He took a couple for himself then offered his mother some. She smiled at him and picked a few for herself.
Demetri and Leah.
"stop throwing things at me". The tracker hissed using the couch as a shield.
"How could you tell him". the she wolf said picking up a candlestick and tossing it at him, aiming for his head.
He caught it effortlessly "stop making a mess".
"WHY!". she yelled picking up the second candlestick getting ready to throw it.
"because your too fat to clean it up and I couldn't be bothered". He snarked back at her with a nasty glare.
The pregnant woman screeched, belting the second stick at his head. this time getting him right between the eyes.
"Okay, okay I yield, I yield". He rubbed the spot in between his red eyes, feeling to see if she had cracked him. "you have a good arm". He chuckled.
She pulled a face at him ready to throw something else.
"I apologize". He said. "I should not have told him".
"you think".
"He was going to figure it out". The tracker argued.
"how?. How was your friend going to figure out you got me knocked up?".
"I panicked".
"well you shouldn't be panicking. I should be the one panicking. I'm the one with the most to lose". She clutched one hand to her stomach as she throw a glass ashtray at him.
"if you keep breaking things and being loud, someone will call the front desk. Do you really want them back up here?.
She was about to throw the small table that sat next to the bed. But stopped mid-throw. Placing it back down on the carpet.
"good". He said, mainly to himself. "I apologies". Demetri held both of his hands up in surrender. "your right…. I should not have told Felix about your condition".
"well it's a little too late now isn't it". she growled, crossing her arms and sitting back down on the edge of the bed.
He took a few steps towards her but didn't want to get too close. He knew he had really done it now. 'maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. He thought to himself. "he won't tell anyone".
"and how can you be sure?".
"because I trust him with my life…".
She scoffed. "but I don't trust him with mine. How could I".
"Leah….. he is the closest thing I have to a brother….. I don't even remember if I had ever had a brother in my human life. Felix is the closest thing to that I will ever have".
"okay fine…. Let's say he doesn't tell anyone. That doesn't mean king creepy won't touch his hand". She rubbed her hands over her face.
He took a few more steps in her direction. Hoping she wouldn't throw anything else at him. of course, it didn't hurt him, he couldn't even feel it when she throw something at him. but he still didn't like it.
"he says he's going to avoid master Aro at all cost" he tried to reassure her.
"or for at least as long as he can". She said what he was thinking. She rubbed circles around her belly. "we're on a time limit now aren't we".
"weren't we always". He made his way to her and slowly knelt down in front of her.
"what if Aro does find out and calls Carlisle?".
"why would he do a thing like that?".
"I don't know". she looked down to the floor and shook her head. "to alienate my pack against me….. to corner me in to joining the Volturi, so it would be easier to make me join".
"I'm sure your pack wouldn't exile you".
Leah laughed. "you don't know Sam".
"why would I want to". He grinned at her.
"This isn't a joke".
"I know". Demetri brushed her hair out of in front of her eyes with his thumb. "Felix…. will help us". he grabbed both sides of her face so she could look in to his eyes. "he will do what he can to protect you and this..". he moved one hand down to her stomach. "he will protect you both with his life if I asked him to".
"with his life?". The she wolf asked skeptically. Raising one eyebrow.
"for his brother yes….. for his nephew…. Yes".
"and for a werewolf?". She said quietly.
"for the mother of his nephew". He whispered back.
"mother of his nephew". She repeated to herself.
She meet his eyes again and the two stared at one another. he continued to gently caress the side of her face. she closed her brown eyes, feeling the softness of his what should have been a cold hand.
But she could only feel the warmness.
She opened her eyes again only to be met with Demetri's. his eyes never moving away from her.
He slowly began to creep towards her.
Her breath caught in her throat as he rubbed his nose against her gently.
Also like he was asking for permission.
She slowly began to nuzzle her nose back against his.
The feeling was a great comfort to her.
But it was her who leaned in the last inch and placed her lips on to his.

So I was thinking I'd like to get one of my story's done. So I might hold off on working on the others until this one this done. I might not but I think that's what I'm gonna do. I will still be working on my other ones but I will be making this one my priority.
How do you guys feel about that?
I am thinking of working on another story soon though after this one is done. But that one will be a Mad Max story about Bubba Zanetti. I already have an idea for it. I absolutely love the first Mad Max movie. It's one of my favorite movies. If you haven't seen it you should.
