Chapter 3
Things Get Stranger
While Issei was asleep, he suddenly dreamed he was back in the Pizzaria, but it was day, and plenty of people, of all ages, were attending, eating pizza, and seemingly having a good time. Their clothes looked slightly out of date though, like how people usually dressed in the 80's.
Just then, Freddy said to the audience, "Hey, all ye pirate fans! Do you wanna meet Foxy? He's the best pirate I know!"
As soon as the audience cheered, Chica said, "Are you sure, Freddy? Foxy has been sleeping all day, since he was exhausted from his last adventure."
"Don't worry, Chica." Bonnie said reassuringly, "I'm sure we can help Foxy find his strength again."
"That's the spirit, Bonnie!" Freddy responded, "Alright guys, let's call out to Pirate's Cove for him."
Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica then proceeded to turn, and face this mini-stage, just across the hall from the main stage.
"Foxy!" They all called out, but nothing happened.
"Ah, darn it!" Freddy said, "We're gonna need your help kids, say it with us!"
The kids then turned to Pirate's Cove, and with the gang on stage, yelled, "Foxy!"
Issei watched everything going on, and thought to himself, "Well, at least these little ones are having a better time than I probably would've if I was their age."
When nothing happened again, Freddy said, "I think Foxy can't hear us. Say it louder, kids! Foxy!"
With the final yell, the curtains opened, revealing an animatronic that was even more terrifying than the others, with the holes in his costume, the fact that his legs weren't even covered, and worst of all, his teeth. The set of teeth in Foxy's mouth didn't look like decorative props, but rather dangerously sharp blades. Needless to say, Issei was shocked to see the kids continuing to cheer, as this horrific animatronic was revealed.
"Yar, maties!" Foxy said, "Thank ye all for waking me up in time for the show!"
"You're welcome, Foxy! Hope you had a great rest, because we've got a job to do!" Freddy said.
"Aye! Let me know if yer in need of my assistance, Freddy!"
As Issei watched, Foxy's voice and movements started to slightly make-up for his disturbing look. Just then, a small boy in a pirate t-shirt started to approach Foxy in excitement.
"Honey, please stay where I can see you!" The boy's mother called to him.
"I will, mommy!" He replied.
The boys started to slow down, when Foxy noticed him, but as soon as the child stopped, Foxy said, "Yar, Mikey! Ye will always be me friend. Come to Foxy! Well, that is, if yer not scared of ol' Foxy!"
"Why would I be scared of you, Foxy?!" Mikey asked, "You're my hero!"
Issei, surprised at the child's comment, listened more intently to the conversation.
Foxy's eyepatch, as an expression of him being surprised at the compliment, lifted up, showing another eye under it, as Foxy asked, "Hero?"
"Yeah! You're a brave and strong pirate, and I wanna be brave and strong when I grow up!"
"Ye already are a brave little pirate, Mikey!"
"Really?" Mikey asked as he approached Foxy closer.
Foxy knelt down to talk to Mikey, as he continues with, "Aye! I'd be more than jolly to hire you into me hearty crew! What'd ya say, Mikey?!"
Just when Mikey was about to answer, Foxy's head starts to slightly twitch. Issei was, of course, still watching closely, and he may not be an expert on animatronics, but even he could tell that something was clearly wrong with Foxy.
Mikey says Foxy's name from concern for his favorite character at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Suddenly, Foxy opened his mouth, exposing more of his sharp teeth, and bit Mikey in the face, making everyone gasp at the bloody sight.
While everyone else was running for the front door, to try and get them and their children to safety, all Issei could do was stand there, with both his hands cover his mouth, as he loudly says through them, "W-What the hell just happened?!"
Suddenly, a new voice came out of nowhere, and calmly said, "Issei?"
Suddenly, Issei found himself sitting straight up in his bed, with Irina standing in front of him, with a breakfast tray on it.
"Are you okay? You were screaming in your sleep." Irina asks.
"Oh, yeah. I just had a bad dream." Issei said out-loud.
"A crazy-ass nightmare's more like it!" He continued in his thoughts.
As Irina laid his breakfast trey on his bed for him, she said, "Well, everyone's in the dining room, and we all want to hear about what happened last night."
"Oh, you guys wanna know about last night?"
"Yes, but please eat up first, you can't think well on an empty stomach. Tee-hee."
"Oh, okay. I'll eat up and I can tell ya when I'm done."
"Great! Asia made it just for you, so I bet it's gonna be good!"
As Irina gleefully left the room, Issei thought to himself, "No way should I tell them about what happened last night! If I do, they'll all get worried, and Rias will defiantly get rightfully concerned for my safety, then force me to quit after the first night! But I need this job! Henry's paying me in what could be the best collection of DVD porn ever! What should I tell them?!"
Later, after Issei finished his breakfast, he went to the dining area, where he was greeted by the girls, who still very much wanted to know about how last night went. Issei, sat down, and with a slightly shaky voice, told a story he made up in advance, about how much of a boring night it was, and that nothing eventful happened.
Koneko noticed how nervous he sounded, and said, "Are you sure about that?"
"Y-Yeah, why?"
"You sound like you have a shake in your voice."
"What? M-me? Shaking? Oh, c-come on, Koneko! You're being silly!"
"Am I?"
Irina then jumps in, and says, "Hey, he just woke up from a bad dream, so I'm pretty sure he's just a tad bit flustered."
Concerned, Asia asks, "Oh! You had a bad dream, Issei?!"
But before he could answer, Ddraig answers with, "Yes, he did; and I gave it to him."
Issei looks at Ddraig, and says, "Ddraig, you gave me that dream? What the heck was that all about?!"
"I'll tell you, but I wish to in private."
The ladies excuse Issei from the table, and he goes back to his room to talk to Ddraig.
"Alright, so what was that dream all about, Ddraig?"
"Well, on your way back home, I curiously did some research on the past of Freddy Fazbear's; I must say that for a place that describes itself has 'magical', it doesn't have the most magical of histories."
"Really? So that whole thing with that kid dying by way of having his face bitten off really happened?"
"Afraid so. Remember your mentor mentioning the Bite of '87 last night?"
"Yeah?"
"That's what he was talking about. It happened at one of the American locations, though I can't determine which."
"Well Ddraig, next time you have to tell me about something like that... please don't show it to me in a dream! Okay?!"
"Noted. Also, I have something else of importance I need to tell you: Every time Bonnie got close, I thought I could sense a spiritual aura surrounding him, but I could never be sure."
"Oh, okay. So what do we do to confirm your suspicions?"
"Tonight, when he, or one of the other animatronics get close, put your left hand on, or in front of them before the door closes."
"Right, that's gonna be easy."
"No worries Partner, you've done harder things before."
"You have a point."
"I'll meet you later tonight, I must continue my research."
