Chapter 4

The Second Night

Issei is riding his bike to Freddy's, when Ddraig then says, "Remember your other task for tonight."

"Yeah, try to get you close to one of the animatronics." Issei replied.

Issei gets to the pizzeria, locks up for the night, and runs straight to the security office. As soon as he gets there, the answering machine starts beeping again. Issei, wondering if it's his mentor again, lets the message play.

"Uh, hello? Um, see? I told ya you your first night would be a breeze! You're a natural at this!"

"Your mentor's nervous way of speaking doesn't make him very convincing." Ddraig said.

"Tell me about it." Replied Issei.

"Hey! Uh, I meant to tell you this the other night, but completely forgot. So, if you see a button under the ones for the doors, you'll see ones labeled 'light'."

Issei turns, and sees that there actually was such buttons that had a label under them that read 'light'.

"He's right, how could I have missed that?" Issei thought to himself.

"So, uh, let me emphasize why these are important; you see, there's these blind spots your cameras can't see, which just so happen to be right outside your doors. However these lights stopped working not too long a go so it would probably be a good idea to bring a flashlight with you in case you need to check for something outside your doors.

Issei tested one of the light buttons to see if it was broken and sure enough, it was.

"Well I've been able to see perfectly in the dark ever since I was reincarnated so it shouldn't be too much of a problem." Issei said to himself.

"So, I gotta go, please check those cameras right now to make sure everyone's in their proper place. Oh! I forgot to mention another thing: Please check out the curtain at Pirate's Cove from time to time. You see, the character in there usually becomes less active if the cameras are focused on him more often, unsure why though. He probably just doesn't liked being watched, hehehe. Anyway, now I'm going, good night!"

Issei looked at the camera for Pirate's Cove, and saw a 'Coming Soon', sign in front of the curtains.

Ddraig, you think it could be Foxy?" Asked Issei.

"Most likely another model that hopefully won't malfunction like the one from 1987." Ddraig responded.

Issei then switched to the camera that shows the main stage, and sees that this time, instead of Bonnie, Chica was gone. Issei, as soon as he began searching for her, then flipped to a camera he never looked at before labeled 'Kitchen', which was disabled, so the only way to know what happened in there was through audio.

When the sound of pots and pans crashing came, Issei said, "I have a feeling she's in there."

"I'd assume you're correct." Ddraig replied.

But then, Issei flipped to the camera at Pirate's Cove, and already, at 1am, Foxy was moving back the curtain, and poking his nose out.

"If I'm not mistaken, I think that robot looks nothing different from the one from '87" Said Issei.

"Indeed." Agreed Ddraig, "So either American business executives are that dim-witted, or something else is very wrong here."

"Could be either at this point."

Issei then switched to the bathroom camera, and sees that Chica had already went into the bathroom.

"Ah, damnit!" He thought to himself, "How are these things able to move so fast?! One of them could easily match Kiba in a race!"

Suddenly, all the cameras filled with static, but luckily, it was just for a moment, and they immediately came back on.

When they did, Issei saw that all of the sudden, Chica was now down the hall, but now is very slow all of the sudden.

"Geez, just be fast or slow! It's not hard!" He thinks to himself.

Just then, he switches to Pirate's Cove, and sees that the curtain has now been completely opened, and Foxy was nowhere in sight. In a panic from not wanting to get bit in the face as well, Issei looks around quickly for him. Next thing he knew, Foxy was running down the other hall, toward the office, and at such a high speed, that Issei jumps out of his chair while reaching for the door button. Issei's heart pounds twice as hard as Foxy starts banging on the door.

"Okay, this is officially more than just robots out to get me! These freaking things are really out to get me!" Issei said aloud.

"Partner! Calm down!" Said Ddraig.

After Issei calmed down, Ddraig said, "I sensed the same aura from before on Foxy, but it happened so fast that I still can't be sure."

"Well, Chica's on the way, so yo-"

Before Issei could finish his sentence, the sound of heavy footsteps came from right outside the other door. Issei looked out the office window, and sure enough, Chica was standing there, staring at Issei, with a malicious looking gaze, all while opening her beak, revealing a second pair of teeth inside.

Issei stood there, staring at the smaller, human-like teeth, wondering what the purpose of this stage detail could be, when all at once, Ddraig quickly said, "What are you doing?! Put your left hand in front of her now while you still have the chance!"

After breaking out of the trance, Issei, moved his left hand close enough to Chica's chest, and was about to close the door with his right, when Chica grabbed his arm, pulled him out of the office, and said with the same malicious stare, "You forgot the rules! You must stay inside your suit, we don't wanna scare the kids."

Summoning as much strength as he could muster without being excessive, Issei managed to break free of Chica's grasp enough to quickly run back into the office, and close the door. After all was said-and-done, Issei checked to see if the other door was safe to open, and after seeing that Foxy had returned to his original spot, opened the door, and proceeded to talk to Ddraig.

"Did you get the answers you wanted, Ddraig?"

"Yes, but they only raise more questions. I have never experienced this kind of spiritual energy before, so I'm going to have to do some things to figure out what is going on. For now, just get this night over with."

Issei did just that, and managed to make it to 6am with his other mission accomplished. But as Ddraig said, all these new answers do is raise more questions. Why are the animatronics surrounded by strange auras? Why is Foxy the same as he was back in the 80's? Is this really a story of robots acting the way they do? Or is there someone else pulling the strings from behind a curtain? But most importantly, will Issei survive long enough to discover the answers to these new questions, as well as get his hands on Henry's erotic reward for his success?
