A/N: Okay, so I'm adding an update to this story. One change is being made, I'm changing the name of the main character as to not be confused with the other Elena Stark from the story Daughter of Hydra. (A story you should totally check out as I am more invested in it and follows Tony's daughter who can heal due to the scepter. For those who are reading it, the next chapter will be out sometime in May). Anyways, for those interested in this story- here you go. Thanks for reading.

REVISED INTRO:

"His body is missing," Captain America said bowing his head remorsefully as he told Wanda Maximoff of the news.

"What? How? He couldn't have just gotten up and walked away" Her hair curled around her as she got madder. Her brother was dead. Now, he was gone.

Two Days Later…

Wanda was alone, training as she had every morning since the fight with Ultron. It gave her time to think and it made her feel prepared for whatever was to come. The more she controlled her power, the better she felt. Well, at least she didn't feel worse.

"Wanda?"

Her blood ran cold. The thick accent couldn't be real. It sounded too much like- no. She couldn't think the thought.

She turned around. It couldn't be true, this was a dream and when she woke up, she would lose him again.

She turned, she couldn't face it, even in a dream. In a flash, he was in front of her, just like he would have been before. He was warm, like he always was and he smelled like he always had, he was no longer cold and rotting. He was here.

Later…

Nick Fury, Captain America, and Black Widow were with the twins.

Captain America asked, "What do you remember?"

"Nothing. Except-" Quicksilver looked down. "Amara."

"Who's that?" Natasha questioned.

There was moment of silence and then Natasha asked again. "Who is Amara?"

It was Wanda who answered. She sighed and began, "My brother and I weren't the only ones who survived Strucker's experiment. There was one other girl. She was there before we volunteered. Her name," Wanda paused. "was Amara Stark."

"Stark?"

"Yes," Quicksilver answered. "She's Tony Stark's daughter."

"We have to tell him." Steve said as he paced around the training room. "He has a right to know."

"And what good will that do?" Natasha tells him.

"Maybe he'll want to find her." He proposed. "We at least have to give him the chance."

Natasha turns to the Maximoff twins, "you two are being awfully quiet."

The twins looked at each other without saying a word. After a moment, Wanda spoke, "We think he should know."

"Good, then it's settled." Steve decided. "We are all heading to Stark towers."

The group arrived at Tony's home late that night. Pietro stayed outside as to not give Tony a heart attack for seeing a ghost.

Steve, Natasha, and Wanda went inside. Pepper greeted them with a big smile, taking them into the living room and offering them a seat on the couch while she made sure Tony was coming up from his lab.

Once she left, awkward silence filled the air which remained until Pepper returned with Tony.

"Oh no, did someone die?" Tony asked feeling out the room.

"No… it's nothing like that." Steve said. He looked to Natasha who did not make eye contact. He looked back at Tony. "It's something else, maybe you should take a seat."

"Um, ok….this is getting kind of concerning."

Steve looked at the twins for any support whatsoever. Like Natasha, they did not meet his eyes. Clearly, he was on his own. "Well, there's two important pieces of information."

"Kay…."

"The first is about Pietro….he's alive."

"That's fantastic." Tony's face lit up. "How? Why do you all look so nervous then? We should be celebrating."

Steve took in a deep breathe. "You see, the how of the matter is concerning."

"What do you mean?"

"Pietro said that he didn't know how he was back, but he remembered seeing a girl named Amara… Amara Stark."

The group was silent as they watched Tony's and Pepper's face change from confusion to shock. Pepper was the first to speak. "I'm sorry, what do you mean, Amara STARK."

Wanda spoke, "Amara was in the Hydra program with us… well, kind of with us… we didn't talk much."

Tony remained silent.

"Where is this girl now?" Pepper asked.

"We don't know." Natasha answered.

"We haven't seen her since you invaded the Hydra base." Wanda said. "She must have bolted when we went out to confront you guys."

"Tony?" Steve said, his eyes not leaving his friends face.

"…"

Pepper turned her attention to her boyfriend. "It's going to be okay."

"I… I just can't believe this."

"What do you want to do?"

"I… I want to find her."

NEW STUFF

It had been a month. Tony hadn't slept well since they started looking. Well, to be honest, he didn't sleep well before that, but it was worse now.

They didn't have much to go on. The twins didn't give much information to go on.

"We don't know much about her, to be honest." Wanda said. "Between the experiments and the training, there wasn't much time for socializing."

There was something suspicious, or perhaps just frustrating, about how little they knew. Plus, they seemed uncomfortable talking about it. Yet, maybe they weren't keen on talking about their time in Hydra in general.

The information they did have came from Hydra's files.

Amara Stark

Father: Tony Stark

Mother: Bethany Callop

Age: 20

Birthdate: Feb 20th, 1993

Place of Origin: Latveria

That was it. It wasn't much to go on. We needed to find someone who knew more, but with Strucker dead, it was only low-level agents left.

Speaking of low-level agents, Fury had tried to entice some of the agents that were captured to talk and he was lucky enough to get a bite.

Fury and Natasha went into the cell holding a low-level Hydra agent. They took a seat at the table across from a blond haired agent. Fury started the conversation, "So, we heard you had some information on a girl named Amara Stark."

"Only in exchange for a reduced sentence. I want it in writing." He said, sternly.

Fury gave a small nod to Natasha. She took out a piece of paper, and place it on the table. "Here is the deal." She said.

The man looked it over and then leaned back in his chair. "Amara Stark." He said in a long breath. "What do you want to know about her?"

"How did she get involved with Strucker's experiments?"

"Hydra had known about her for a while. Kept tabs on her and her mother, but never interfered. Even when Amara's mother died and she ended up in an orphanage in Latveria at the age of 13. A year later, Hydra stepped in- a kind Samaritan willing to help her out."

He continued. "You know, there's not many options for a young girl in such a hostile country. Hydra offered her training under the supervision of Dr. Strucker, knowing that one day, when she was older, she would go under experimentation. At the time, it was assumed she would be under the realm of super-solider serum, but then everything happened with the scepter, and the rest is history."

Fury asked, "Do you know where she would have went after Strucker's death?"

"It's hard to say for sure. Those loyal would have gone to a different Hydra base, others would try to escape."

"And where is the nearest Hydra base?" Fury asked.

"It's in—"

Suddenly the alarms start to go off, red lights flash, even in the cell. Fury looks at Natasha- a silent message passes between them.

They both get up and exit the cell.

Fury goes to the computer and tries to get in touch with the other floor, but all he hears is static. "Whatever caused the sirens, must have cut comm lines."

"Let's go upstairs, see if we can't find out what's going on." Natasha said, careful to survey the area.

Fury nods and they leave.

Back in the cell….

The blond haired agent sat impatiently in the cell. He wasn't concerned by the sirens, it wasn't his problem. That was until he could see some kind of gas entering through the vent.

He didn't panic at first, then a thought occurred to him. If Hydra knew he was giving up information- any information- they would kill him.

But they couldn't get through SHIELD's security. Except SHIELD was HYDRA. His heartrate started to increase as the gas started to fill the room.

Then he started to choke, and it felt like he couldn't breathe.

Dammit he thought as he realized he was going to die.
