The Army of Ash! Destroy Team Rocket!
Chapter 11: Mimey, Mechas, and a Mega!
In a flash of light, the shiny Gardevoir appeared in a room with more holding cells on all four sides, all of them identical to the one she'd been trapped in, and all of them occupied by the captured victims of Team Rocket. However, outside of these cells, guarding them, were 8 Team Rocket Grunts.
The shiny frowned and said, "The Rocket Brothers and Rocket Sisters. Why am I not surprised?"
"Hey! That's that prized shiny Gardevoir!" shouted one of the four brothers.
One of the four sisters gritted her teeth and said, "Curses! Of all the Pokemon to have escaped. . ."
"Don't worry sis, we'll get her back in her cell in no time!" said another one of the sisters.
Another one of the brothers scowled and said, "What do you mean you will! The glory belongs to the Rocket Brothers this time!"
"Shut your mouth! The Brothers are all old news and obsolete!" challenged a third sister.
"That's right! The Rocket Sisters have replaced you four losers. I don't even know why Archer forced us to work together!" said the fourth sister.
A third brother laughed and said, "It was so the Rocket Brothers could keep you in line, of course!"
"You got that right!" said the fourth brother with a smirk, "So why don't you girls sit back and let us handle this!"
The shiny Gardevoir folded her arms and said, "Go ahead and try."
Crash!
Yet another door was knocked down by the Dragon Claws of Ash's Dragonite. Riding atop Dragonite's head was Ash's Oshawott, who jumped off and wielded his Scalchop wildly and screamed, "Hiyaaaaaa! I'm your worst nightmare!"
Ash's Gengar then rose out of the floor and said, "I know you are, but what am I?"
Bayleef then ran in with Palpitoad riding on her back. Palpitoad jumped off and stood next to Oshawott. "Ready, buddy?" he asked.
Oshawott smiled and nodded proudly, "Sure, just don't get in my awesome way!"
"Uhh. . ." said one of the Rocket Brothers nervously, mostly due to the Dragonite and Gengar.
A Rocket Sister stepped forward and said, "Okay, let's just focus on beating these intruders, okay? We can argue over credit later. The Pokemon being held here are valuable VIPs!"
Suddenly, pounding could be heard from one of the cells. The Pokemon all looked over to see a very familiar Mr. Mime beating on the plexiglass door of the cell.
Bayleef gasped and said, "Ohmigosh! It's Mimey! If I save him, my precious Ashy-boy will love me even more!"
Dragonite nodded and shrugged in response, "Okay. Any motivation at all is better than nothing." Dragonite's body glowed orange as he got ready to use Dragon Dance, "Let's do this!"
A brother had a cocky look on his face as he took out one of his Pokeballs. "Ha! They're hopelessly outnumbered! Ouch!"
One of the sisters slapped the back of his head and shouted, "You idiot! If that shiny Gardevoir got out, that means more Pokemon have been broken out of the VIP cell blocks! Not to mention tons of Pokemon from the lower cell blocks!"
Gardevoir smiled with liberated delight as she said, "That's true. In fact, do I hear more reinforcements on there way right now?"
As Gardevoir turned her head to greet the aforementioned reinforcements, a Rocket Brother shouted with wide eyes, "Send out ALL of your Pokemon! Don't let 'em through!"
Atilla slowly regained consciousness as Hun slapped the side of his face. The large man blinked his eyes several times and then sat up, grunting as he clutched his chest were Cinderace had Blaze Kicked him.
"Ung. . .what happened. . .what happened!? What's going on?" Atilla demanded.
"The tide is turning in our favor," Hun said with a smile as Sebastian stood by here with an identical smile.
Atilla looked around and saw, and heard, the march of Team Rocket's arsenal of mechas.
"This is getting ridiculous!" shouted one of the Tauros at the head of a fleeing group of five. In hot pursuit of them was a massive Drapion mecha with the Team Rocket "R" emblazoned on its chest. The mech raised its claws and struck at the Tauros, taking out two of them at once.
Meanwhile, Goh's Absol and Ash's Corphish were fleeing from a huge Golem-Grabber Mark 2 that fired boulders from its mouth.
"It's gotta run out of boulders some time, right?" Corphish shouted nervously.
"Just keep running," Absol said with a straight face.
During all this, a several cylindrical and cubical mechas were marching through the area, slamming their mechanical claws either down at the earthbound Pokemon or swinging at the Pokemon flying above them.
Goh found himself standing before a huge Rhydon mecha. Goh pointed and shouted, "Cinderace, Pyro Ball! Raichu, Thunderbolt!"
The Pokemon launched their attacks, and both did little damage when they struck the massive machine.
"It's useless, boy," Sebastian said, a confident smile back on the scientist's face, "You might have taken down our Pokemon, but you have no chance against our technology."
Atilla's grin was especially vicious as he said, "Yes. . .I will get revenge after all." He pointed and said, "I will wring that rabbit's neck!"
The Rhydon mecha opened it's mouth, and a net was fired out at Goh and his Pokemon.
"NO!" Goh shouted as his eminent capture grew near.
A figure cloaked in flames dashed past, snatching the net and flinging it directly at Atilla, Hun, and Sebastian.
"Incineroar!" Goh shouted in relief.
Hawlucha then flew past and cut the cord connecting the net to the mecha. After that, Dracovish ran in and made a flying leap, landing right on the mecha's head to use Fishious Rend to bite off the Rhydon horn.
Raichu shouted out excitedly and pointed at the broken horn.
"I got it! Jump off Dracovish! Use Thunderbolt on that weak point, Raichu!" Goh shouted.
Dracovish obeyed, and Raichu fired an attack that breached the mecha's defenses through the broken horn, frying the mecha's circuits from the inside.
Dracovish smiled proudly, then looked about until he found a familiar face. "Arcto!" he cheered.
Goh's Arctozolt was riding atop a box shaped mecha that had managed to snag Goh's Farfetch'd. With a final Bolt Break, Arctozolt disabled the mecha, allowing Farfetch'd to escape. Arctozolt jumped off and waved one of his tiny arms at his fellow fossil Pokemon. "Not bad, Draco. You sure know how to go for weak points!"
Ash's Krookodile burst out of the ground in front of the Drapion mecha and gave it a powerful uppercut to it's head. The mecha responded by bringing its claws together and catching Krookodile between them. Just as Krookodile was about to have the life squeezed out of him, a powerful Flash Cannon tore right through the mecha's arms. Krookodile went tumbling some distance away, losing his sunglasses in the process. He quickly grabbed the shades and stood back, pausing to look at the sparking mecha. Krookodile saw Melmetal approaching the Drapion mech, and he flashed a smile as he put his sunglasses back on and said, "Hasta la vista, baby."
As Krookodile turned to walk away, Melmetal fired another Flash Cannon at the mech, and it erupted into a fiery explosion before the rest of it slumped down onto it's side.
Ash's Snorlax moved in from of the Golem-Grabber Mark 2 and Headbutted it's head, severely denting it and stopping it in its tracks. Snorlax then used Ice Punch over and over, further driving the head into the body before finally Body Slamming the entire Golem shaped mecha onto it's back.
A giant Ariados mecha had been shooting artificial webs at the Flying-types over head. Pidgeot's flock dived down and attacked the mecha's joints with Pecks, Wing Attacks, and Air Slashes. However, it was going poorly for the flock, as many of them lay prone on the ground, wrapped up in webbing. However, Incineroar was blazing over the ground and made a flying leap up above the Ariados mecha. He then unleashed a Fire Blast that struck the mecha on it's back, driving it's legs into the ground while also heating up the metal surface.
Ash's Glalie took the opportunity to zoom in and unleashed an Icy Wind at the heated up mecha. The rapid temperature change cracked and shattered the metal, especially in it's joints, rendering the machine inert.
Two cylindrical capture mechas stomped over to avenge the fallen mecha, only for the both of them to be knocked over by two Flash Cannons. Boldore and Melmetal were still going on strong.
Incineroar raced over to the pair and said, "We weren't fast enough. There were too many Grunts in the science lab. We couldn't stop them from sending out their mechas."
Hawlucha flew over and added, "The rest of the team is still in the lab fighting, but the strongest of us decided to come back out after the mechas. Sorry we couldn't stop this before it began."
Rowlett was sitting inside the nut in Melmetal's chest, and he was smiling excitedly as he said, "Don't apologize! I'm having a ball! Let's go, Melmetal! Super Mecha Rowlettal Team!"
Melmetal roared as he raised his arms and flexed, then he lumbered off towards some more of the mechas.
Corphish looked on in awe at the unstoppable duo of Rowlett and Melmetal. "Wow, that looks awesome. Team ups are the greatest!" he said, then he slowly turned to Absol. "Heeeeey. . ."
"I am NOT giving you a ride," Absol said sharply.
Goh smiled at the sight of the army fighting back against the mechas. He then turned to Atilla, Hun, and Sebastian, who were all still struggling against the net. "Ha! It looks like you're the one who doesn't stand a chance. You Team Rocket jerks put all your trust in machines instead of your Pokemon, and look where it got ya!"
There was suddenly a loud explosion, and from the vicinity of the Pokemon holding area, 8 grunts could be seen and heard screaming as they all blasted off out of the cliffs and into the sky, vanishing in 8 twinkles of light.
Atilla was beet red in the face, while Hun pulled tightly at the net and said, "You idiot! Your Pokemon can't take on those mecha's forever! They'll tire out! They can't destroy all of them!"
ROOAAAAAAAAR!
Everyone turned to see a Rayquaza up in the air once again, it's body twisting and turning into the sky.
"Yes!" Atilla said with a grin.
"NO!" Hun shouted in horror.
Rayquaza fired a Draco Meteor into the sky, which then burst and rained destruction down on all of the Team Rocket mechas.
"WHAT THE HECK IS IT DOING?! SEBASTIAN!" Atilla roared at the scientist.
The scientist had a empty expression on his face, a face of a man who was staring at Death, as he said, "The Pokeball was destroyed. I no longer have any control over Rayquaza."
"How did it even gain its strength back so quickly!?" Hun shouted.
Goh just smiled and said, "I've caught A LOT of Pokemon. So has Ash. Some of them know healing moves, and most were carrying berries too. Suicune probably figured that since Rayquaza's Pokeball got destroyed, he'd help us. So he spread the word for anyone who could to help restore Rayquaza!"
Evolutionary power then shrouded Rayquaza, causing him to glow and pulsate with untold power. There was an incredible flash of light, and Rayquaza now floated in mid air in its Mega form. It's long, glowing whiskers flowed in a divine breeze as it roared, sending out Draco Meteor after Draco Meteor down at the mechas below. Everyone now had a front row seat to the total destruction Mega Rayquaza was unleashing on Team Rocket.
Then, once every single mecha was reduced to scrap, Mega Rayquaza turned his head down to the ground below. His fierce golden eyes focused on the three netted Team Rocket members. Memories of his capture, imprisonment, experimentation, torture, and mind control blazed brightly in his mind. Driven by unholy rage and vengeance, Mega Rayquaza swooped down and snatched up the three netted humans in it front right claw.
Goh fell flat on his back and was joined on either side by Cinderace and Raichu was they all watched Mega Rayquaza's long body swung upward as he rapidly gained altitude. Atilla, Hun, and even Sebastian were all screaming in the purest of terror as the Legendary Pokemon they had abused held them tightly as he rose rapidly into the sky. Mega Rayquaza glowed green once again, and with massive sonic boom, the Legendary used Dragon Ascent to take off straight up through the atmosphere with the three screaming humans in tow. Before long, Mega Rayquaza was a small speck in the sky, and then it disappeared into outer space with a small twinkling of light.
". . . .wow," Goh said softly.
Atop Team Rocket HQ, Inteleon let out a low whistle as he stared up at the spot where Mega Rayquaza had left the planet.
"Well, that was quite a show," he said as he looked down at the many smoking craters where the Legendary had decimated the mechas, he then looked up at the various antennae and jamming devices peppered across the roof, "Hmm. . .I wonder what would happen if I. . .?"
Inteleon smiled, and glowing blue water energy covered his hands and feet.
"Liquidation!" he shouted, and he went to work.
