I would like to give a special shout out to SessRinLover for your encouraging words, you always have the right words to say. I was so inspired by your comment that I went and made another chapter tonight. I was going to wait until this weekend but I was so happy, I was like why not now!
With that being said, I wrote 2 other stories that are not on this site but are on AO3, I will be posting them here. I also have another story that is in the works. I am happy I have come this far with my writing, I always loved to do it, but life happens, and I began to venture out on other things.
I hope you enjoy the next couple chapters; I will be closing this one out and maybe have a short sequel.
"Oh, my freaking God! You want to ask Rin to be your wife!" Kagome screams to Sesshomaru over the phone.
"I think I am regretting this; you are a loudmouth and may slip and tell her".
"I am sorry, I promise I will not say anything to Rin, I want Rin happy, and she loves you, she really does. I never seen her this happy or talk about someone so much".
That made Sesshomaru smile to hear his mate speak so fondly about him to her friends.
"I need your assistance in purchasing a ring for her. I want it to be perfect. Will you be able to accompany me within the next couple days?"
"Yes, I will more than happy to come with you, just send me when and where and I will be there!"
He hangs up the phone and Rin comes into his office. "Ready to go?" she asks.
Sesshomaru smiles, he could not believe he was here, happy and in love. It was too good to be true, but it was happening. He did not even care anymore; he wanted to walk with her hand in hand.
In the car ride home Rin says, "My parents want me to come over for dinner and I thought we should go together so you can meet everyone formally".
"When are they planning it?"
"Umm tomorrow night", Rin says with a finger in a mouth. She knew it was kind of last minute and would understand if he could not make it.
"I will be there; I will always make time for you" he says as he rubs her thigh.
"Perfect!" Rin says excitingly.
When they got to Sesshomaru's estate he asks her if she would like to move into his quarters.
"When this place was made, it was during the feudal times, but I kept it up and did not change the interior much. I do not need you to be in your own separate quarters. I can hire designers and contractors to make it to your liking, something we both can share".
Rin cuddles up under Sesshomaru, "I would love to make it homey for both for us". She kisses him and Sesshomaru puts his hands on her cheek and deepens the kiss. He runs his finger over her cheek and stares into her eyes, "I love you Rin".
Rin eyes welled up and she puts her hand on his cheek and said, "I love you too Sesshomaru".
They kiss again and Sesshomaru runs his hands down to her hips. He does not want to fuck her; he wants to make passionate love to her but not tonight. They will just cuddle and enjoy each other's company.
The next day Sesshomaru contacts Kagome to let her know they will need to meet sooner than he thought because Rin wants to have dinner with her family so that extra day was lost. They will meet up the next day after the dinner. Even though she had a couple more days at Inutaisho Tech, she still had a week until graduation. She had to wait on her grades and gather her cap and gown.
Rin and Sesshomaru are staying at a condo of Sesshomaru's while the contractors and interior designers work on their living space. Rin tells Sesshomaru he does not have to get all dressed up because it is just her family. So casual wear it was.
Sesshomaru was nervous because he was absent-minded and thought too fast not thinking to talk to her parents about marrying her. They didn't even know Sesshomaru so he had to make a hell of an impression on them. All of it seemed rushed now and he did not want Rin to feel overwhelmed because they only met a couple months ago and now, he wants to ask her to marry him.
They were mates, they were going to be together regardless, so the timing really meant nothing. He understood Rin's nature as a human, but will she think they were moving too fast? He hoped she would understand that he means no harm, only to be with her.
They arrive at Rin's parents house and Rin looks to him smiling and he holds her hand. Rin rings the doorbell and her mother answers, and she was so happy to see her daughter, they hug.
"So, you must be Sesshomaru, I have not heard a lot about you but the way my daughter is smiling right now, I must say I don't need to hear much.
"It is nice to meet you Mrs. Hagawari" Seshomaru says trying to shake her hand.
"Oh no, I do hugs" Sesshomaru felt uncomfortable, but he knew he had to do this for his mate's happiness.
They hug each other and she brings them to the living room and her father is sitting in a recliner watching football.
"Dad, this is my boyfriend, Sesshomaru.
Her father gets up, "So you are the big dog huh".
Rin starts to get nervous and Sesshomaru can feel her uneasiness.
"My daughter is very secretive about whom she is dating, we would basically have to be sneaky to find out, but for her to bring someone here, means something".
Rin becomes embarrassed and Sesshomaru smirks.
"It is nice to meet your Mr. Hagawari. She means a lot to me".
Rin smiles and puts her arm around Sesshomaru's back.
"Good that is what I like to hear. My wife made some dinner, but you don't really eat cooked food, so she prepared you something more for your taste".
They all head to the dining area and Rin's brothers are already there. Sesshomaru greets them and they all wait for the food to come out.
Rin and her mother clear the table while the guys sat at the table. Sesshomaru can tell they have a watchful eye on him.
"We just want to know your intentions with Rin" Rins younger brother says.
Sesshomaru is dreading this, but he knows it must be done.
"During our time at my company, we never expected to get so close. It just happened naturally. I never thought in a million years I would meet someone like Rin. She keeps me balanced, where I fail at, she succeeds and makes me see a point of view I never thought I could see. She has a mouth on her, but I would not have it any other way. She knows what she wants, and she works hard to achieve whatever goals she aspires. I truly do care about Rin".
Rin's older brother says, "Wow you say all that about Rin, you must love her dude!"
Rin's father says, "Do you love her?"
Sesshomaru responds, "Yes I do, very much".
"Hmmm, then I expect you to do right by her. My Rin she is solid, but her heart is not, and I have seen her hurt. Do not break it because I do not care who you are or to her, that is still my little girl and we do not play when it comes to her".
Sesshomaru for the first time, is a little nervous, he never felt challenged in this way before, but he understood it. They have been her protectors and if he wants to step up, he had some shoes to fulfill.
"I will protect her with my life, she already has my love and devotion, I give that willingly. I am dedicated to her; without her I would have never become who I am now. I want to ask your daughter to marry me, but I will need your permission".
Rin's father and brothers looked at each other and then Mr. Hagawari put his hands together and put them to his forehead then to his mouth and looks to Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru patiently waiting for an answer.
"The way you have spoken about my daughter, I can see why she chose you and from what I am feeling you are true to your word, and she sees you as her protector and I feel she loves you too. Rin is now in your hands but do not forget what I said".
"I will not" Sesshomaru says.
They get up and shake hands and Rin's father goes in the kitchen to get them some brew.
Rin is washing dishes and she turns around and looks to her father, "Are you guys being rude to him" Rin says sharply.
Sesshomaru hears this from the dining room and smirks. She is trying to protect me from their wrath, little do you know Rin, he thinks to himself.
"Relax Rin, I like him" her father says.
"Oh okay" she says shockingly.
"We are going to drink a little, join us later for the next game".
They all said their goodbyes and on the way back to the condo Rin says, "I apologize if my family was rude to you in any way. I know the guys can be protective".
"They are doing what they are supposed to, and I like them Rin, do not worry".
That made Rin feel at ease. She thought Sesshomaru made an impression on her family, and how open he was to come along with her, to just to do for her. She wanted to give him everything he could ever ask for. She would give many pups if he wanted them.
When they reached the door and Sesshomaru closes the door behind them, Rin pushes Sesshomaru up against the door with all her might, he was surprised she had that much strength.
